Trattoria in South Lakeland

After a long day travelling to the area we decided to find a dog friendly place to eat. This restaurant turned out to be a perfect choice. Dog friendly, great customer service, superb food.

I went to the restaurant for the first time. I was impressed with the quality of the food and drinks. I had a enjoyable meal. I found the staff friendly and helpful. I did notice that people sitting outside sometimes found it difficult to get the attention of the staff who were very busy.

We ate at this restaurant because we had visited before but unfortunately the food was not as good. One meal we ordered was a Spaghetti Bolognaise which was not very warm when it arrived at our table. The meal was sent back to the kitchen & the meal returned hotter. The staff never enquired if we had enjoyed our meal. Very disappointed

Lovely wine, however £25 for a bottle I feel a little expensive, starters lovely, 1st main course of sea bass (£21.95) sea bass lovely however served on a bed of, well I really have no words to explain it other than over cooked olives, some green leaves and mushrooms??? 2nd main course of penna arrabbiata was acceptable, nothing outstanding. All in all a very underwhelming experience and we feel expensive for what we received.

I had probably the best pasta I have ever eaten. What a lovely cute restaurant with authentic Italian music playing. Service with a smile from a lovely gentleman called Rob. I would definitely recommend and we will be returning!

We ate here last night worst Italian we have ever tasted very bland food no taste of anything what so ever!! We ordered pasta dishes and a garlic bread on the side ... wow the garlic bread was very poor you could see where they have squirted a garlic paste over it no herbs was soggy underneath. The pasta dishes had zero flavour. We also notice whilst leaving the other tables had half eaten bowls, pizza's left so not just use! Service was very slow the chef came out at one point and looked like he needed a good wash staff seemed like they just couldn't be bothered . We really wish we had looked at reviews first and saved ourself nearly £60

Very disappointing. We didn’t get through half of our main meals. not all fresh ingredients. Very expensive wine - poor.

Less than welcome arrival, waited over 10 minutes to be asked for a glass of water, let alone a glass of wine. Starters were very average, main courses however were just not great. One of our least favourite pasta dishes we’ve tried, such an expensive dish for what we were served. Large portions, but quality just not great. Unfortunately will not be recommending or returning.

Me and my partner came out for a nice meal during our stay and as soon as we came the atmosphere was empty and dead and staff were too busy talking. When we got our food was soggy and tasteless and bland ,our main course was the same swimming in water and oil when my partner said he wasn’t happy with it the waiter cane back and said “do u want to cook it yourself””do u want it or not” in a cocky attitude and staff we heard talking about us at the bar. Overall appalling time and we just wanted to get out of there.

We did see a couple of poor reviews online, bur the majority seemed positive, so we thought we would give it a try. Wish we hadn't bothered. From the moment we walked in, I had diner vibes from the place, from the condiments in white wire baskets on the table, to cheap disposable paper table covers, to the overly loud music....... had we been more familiar with the area, we would probably have left. The bruschetta was good, in fairness it was the best thing about the entire meal. We both had chicken with white wine sauce & pasta for a main course. There was no flavour to the sauce at all, just really bland. The chicken was not cooked through the dish, but rather 2 pieces of grilled chicken placed on top of the pasta. The pasta was served in a rather deep bowl, making it hard to try and cut the chicken to eat with the pasta. We opted for a liqueur coffee each, which came topped with spray cream from a can. The bill was rather steep at over £80 for 1 bruschetta, 2 chicken & pasta , 1 garlic bread, 2 drinks & 2 coffees. However, it wad practically impossible to read the bill to check the amounts, as they brought 2 small limoncellos on a little tray with the bill, the limoncello sloshed over the tray making the print illegible. We decided just to pay & leave. Not one we'd ever choose to go back to.

Great food and service. Look out for the tipping process. I was paying by CC and was asked to tip separately from the food & drink bill. I had no problem with that but found out that as it was not against a 'bill' I ended up being charged by my CC as a cash advance so for a £10 tip I was charged £3.00 for a cash advance fee and had interest charged on that as well. So, great food & service but make sure you have some tipping change in your pocket !

Visited with my two daughters and had a really lovely time. Food was great, bruschetta topped with fresh tomatoes and tender calamari followed by meatballs and arrabiata,excellent quality and service fantastic, team made us feel welcome and spoilt my girls. Definitely recommend and will be one to return to.

My daughter took me to trattoria yesterday (Halloween) we had cheesy garlic bread with caramelised onions 👌🏼absolutely delicious! And we shared a ham & mushroom pizza and some meatballs both from the lunch menu, washed down with a pint each of poretti 😽 a much needed treat after me having a hip replacement 14 weeks ago . We will be back ! 👌🏼delicious 😋

Fantastic food and amazing service, food came within 10 minutes and the deserts were absolutely sublime couldn’t recommend it enough

Booked a table for myself, my partner and her sister. Food was OK at best and service was absolutely atrocious we certainly won't be revisiting. We were still all eating food when an older gentlemen approached us to see if we were finished, to which I responded no we are all still eating, he then took my partners food away and Disposed of it. We couldn't believe it. Awful experience won't be returning. Such a shame as 2 year ago when we visited we had a great meal

I have been to this restaurant twice in the last 7 day. My first visit was Sunday 14th October at around 5.30pm. The food was amazing, the pizzas I had was genuinely one of the nicest pizzas I have ever had in my 35 years. The mushrooms and potatoes were also wonderful. All week I was determined to go back so I did so on Saturday 21st October. This was at around 1.30pm. All I can say is the contrast in quality of the food from the previous visit was very disappointing. There was a lunchtime menu but I specifically asked for a 12 inch pizza like the previous visit. The pizza which arrived was basically as memorable as a frozen oven cooked pizza. There was hardly any tomato sauce or cheese and very underwhelming. There is no way this was made by the same person from Sunday. Mentioned to the waiter at the end. All very polite but just disappointed.
