Tramezzini in Isle of Wight

This is a great restaurant with a menu that changes regularly so you will never be disappointed. The fresh produce and great wine choices make this an excellent experience. Presentation of food is fantastic and the staff are friendly with great service throughout the entire evening.

Surpassed all expectations. Visit for Sunday lunch. The cocktails combine originality, showmanship and taste. Hard to fault the ones we had. The food then didn’t disappoint. Particularly the starters and dessert - original ideas and flavours whilst remaining consistently delicious. The roasts as mains were great also, but the other courses stood out. Would highly recommend visiting, even if you need to take a detour to get here.

Very accommodating restaurant with a causal and friendly atmosphere. Staff were very knowledgeable, professional and reassuring regarding allergies. The food was excellent and presented perfectly. A lovely experience overall.

We had a delicious Sunday lunch at True Food. We have been to the sister beach restaurant which was very good. Today the fish was perfectly cooked and Asian roast beef option delicious and a hearty meal. The Yorkshire pudding side stuffed with shredded beef. Heel and horseradish was a triumph.

We were absolutely delighted with our dining experience on Saturday night. Right from the welcome we got from our hostess through to coffee it was flawless. And the food was exceptional. Really exceptional. TZ's have nailed the dining experience. The environment, the ambience, the service and the food. This is a restaurant that deserves every plaudit. If you're fortunate to reserve a table just count your blessings because your senses are in for a treat.

We arrived at 7 and ordered within a few minutes. We waited an hour for our starters. I appreciate it was busy but 2 other tables arrived after us and were served before us. No explanation was given and we weren't offered any bread or nibbles. When the food arrived it was well cooked and we enjoyed it but we probably wouldn't go again.

What a gem! Went with friends for early dinner on carnival week and we surely weren’t disappointed. Been greeted with a smile from Poppy and Adam. Service was attentive, food was absolutely delicious and we couldn’t fault any of it. If you haven’t been it’s a MUST!

We went for a lovely 5 course tasting menu. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was varied, delicious and well presented. The waitress was friendly, helpful and the who experience was relaxed and unpretentious. Looking forward to returning again.

The staff and food were superb and you could see the chef and his team through the open kitchen. It's small and quirky and tucked out of the way so you might miss it, but you shouldn't! We're only here for 3 days and we went last night (Aug 24) and have other places we'd like to try, but we'd definitely come back

Wow….fantastic evening at Adam’s restaurant. What a talent you have. We had a seven course taster menu and cocktails that were on a different level. The scallops, crab cannelloni and the duck course were particular favourites. Intimate yet relaxed atmosphere with open kitchen to see Adam and his team at work. A must visit when on the Isle of Wight!

So pleased we could visit TZ's again on our yearly holiday to the island. The food as always was absolutely superb we had a selection of small plates and they were all wonderful, especially the salt and pepper squid. The service was great and the atmosphere was laid back and relaxing, look forward to our next visit from North island.

Top top top, I could right a bible about this place......first time and found because of good reviews, and the went beyond my expectations...everything was just perfect, from the manager to the kitchen brigade, food spectacular, we had a selection af 5 starters and were absolutely mouthwash, top notch the scallops, something unbelievable.. Thanks for my amazing birthday " cake", the lobster and prawns cannolo, with candle😉,amazing wine, service and so on. I will defined come back...I couldn't ask for better birthday dinner. Well done guys

Dinner last night was delicious and wonderful, rivaling our favorite spots in New York, Paris and Montreal. We had ceviche, scallops, bream, and duck breast plus two desserts. All first rate. Lovely little place. Thank you!!

Spot on service from everyone at TFK in Ventnor as always. 5 course tasting menu was superb, As my husband is not too keen on fish the chefs made all our dishes based around meat, only one slight complaint of a bit too much salt on one of the dishes.(was resolved instantly) Duck gyoza's to start. A seared beef fillet finely sliced with crispy chilli beef, Lamb noisette, a rolled pork dish, all served with amazing sauces and tasty extras giving colour, taste and texture! followed by an incredible sweet which was a cacophony of colours and flavours which all married together perfectly! Cannot wait to return. Booking always recommended this fabulous restaurant is busy for a reason, don't miss out!

We had the 7 course tasting menu which was the correct amount of food without us feeling overfull at the end. The courses were unusual and interesting with all having a spicy and oriental feel. The restaurant itself is not particularly overwhelming in appearance although it is smart. The staff are friendly and helpful with the chefs visibly working very hard in the open kitchen. There was no menu and the dishes are served when ready. They are almost all fish based. Perhaps 5 - 6 plates all served with a spicy flavour may be tiring for some but the quality cannot be criticised. Certainly we shall return and this restaurant deserves to do very well.

It looks like the refresh of Tramezzini is complete and great - providing more room and a new style. The other good news, is that their takeaway meals restarted in March. We will be having our second one of the restarted takeaway on Friday. We love the fresh tasty meals they provide - usually with a flavoursome twist.

Tramezzini 14 High Street Ventnor is in the process of being gutted. Workmen are in there. Hence closed. They have another one on the Esplanade, so go there.

Currently operating from Castle Haven. Foods lovely, have eaten twice here this week. Crab & Prawn salad bowl with samphire, mango, marinated cucumber & chilli was perfect. Then soft shell crab burger and chips for a heartier fill. Great Friendly service. Locations lovely. Really recommend a visit.

Great food and excellently catered for my coeliac girlfriend. Gluten free options and knowledge was spot on. Paella was amazing!

We came for lunch after stumbling across here on our walk the day before around the lighthouse and castlehaven. We chose 2 meals off the specials; lamb Bao Buns and prawn and chicken thai red curry bowl. Both were so delicious and filling, and the views too are fantastic. The chef has put their heart and soul into the food and picked great ingredients and this really reflects in how tasty the food is. will definitely

A few weeks ago Tramezzini announced a take away service, to cater for the lockdown rules. They have managed to provide the usual high quality meals in a safe and effective manner. Currently they post up on FB on a Sunday the menus for the following Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Each day has a set meat or fish meal and vegetarian meal. You can call to book a slot to pick up your meal (or order via the Go Eats app if you want it delivered). It is piping hot and well packaged. We often pop it in the oven whilst we have a pre-dinner drink. Every meal we have had has been a delight.Each meal has a starter and main dish, and a complimentary desert is provided. You can include a bottle of wine in your order too if if wish.

Well done Lads. Had my first Tramezzini Takeaway on Saturday 16/5/20. Never realised Adam previously worked at The Chewton Glen, New Milton, which is my favourite hotel in the world. What a superb recommendation. Google it! Takeaway only and collect only, however, they went the extra mile and delivered it to me as just around the corner. Superb value of £20 for a 3 course meal. Main was absolutely beautiful of slow cooked beef in broth with noodles and home made Tiramisu, enough for 2 nights! Book a night before and then have something wonderful to look forward to. Please locals, back this restaurant and help keep Ventnor going through these uncertain times. Some of you are used to having a treat of a meal out now and again, so why not treat yourself to a beautiful meal in. Over to you, Gentlemen!

Yay, Tramezzini is doing take-aways! Every cloud has a silver lining. I had the beetroot ravioli and vegetable gnocchi, which were both scrummy. I’d have taken a picture, but they disappeared quite quickly. Thanks team!

I eat Gluten Free and the chefs and waiter went to great lengths to make menu choice really easy. They even went out especially to buy gluten free crackers for my cheese platter. It was a lovely atmosphere and fabulous food. The waiter was kind and witty and helpful.

We had a meal last night and it was really good.Service was brilliant and the foods taste so good.Will visit again soon.

4 of us went for dinner this week. We are , scallops, lamb and steak. Great service and delicious food. 👌🏻

Small but not intimate restaurant located in the town centre. Was very quiet and a bit cold in low season, only a few couples dining. A good range of specials, flexible to make smaller portions for children or accomodate special requirements. Friendly service. The only downside is the price. Would recommend for a special occassion, not an everyday meal!

This was the best meal we have had on the island. The service was superb, the food was outstanding. We each had 3 different courses all of which were presented beautifully and exactly the right size portions so there was no waste, common in other establishments which overload the plates. The great coffee was the initial attraction to Tremezzini's. Since then we have also enjoyed their croissants, cooked breakfast and many evening meals. Again, with the latest visit, the friendly service added to the enjoyment of the wonderful meal.

We visited Tramezzini for a dinner as a couple. What a fantastic meal in a lovely setting. When we walked in we were met by Madison who was our waitress for the evening. We took the window table which was very cozy and looked back at the restaurant. It was warm with ambient lighting - quite trendy and great mood music. We started with some great wine and churros of Parmesan and truffles - very tasty. For starters we had Thai prawn Kiev’s which were a taste explosion, and tacos of duck which were also delicious. For mains we had 2 of the specials - one, a tempura of smoked cod with a black garlic aioli and the other - cuttlefish ink linguine with scallops, prawns and catch of the day which was sea bass. Our evening was fantastic and sadly the restaurant was underfilled as it should have been completely booked out. We have only ever been here for breakfast before but we will definitely be back for more dinners as everything we tasted was special, the wine superb and the service brilliant,Thank you tramezzini and especially Madison who looked after us so well for the evening.

Spent a rather windy, wild weekend in Ventnor during Storm Dennis. Found Tramezzini nearby on TA, and on the off chance rang up. They were busy, and couldn't do the time I booked, but were able to fit us in 15 mins later. Now for me, the next bit warrants the 6th star. The lady phoned me back 5 mins before our booking time to say our table was running behind, and could we do 15 mins later still. With the wildness of the weather, we gladly obliged and stayed in our hotel bar longer.

Fantastic modern food, fun atmosphere & helpful team.. It’s always a treat to dine at Tramezzini’s, I’m planning our next meal soon!

We visited Ventnor for a Winter birthday weekend and my partner booked a table for dinner after reading good reviews on TA.

What a lovely treat ! We were give this evening as a gift for Christmas!!! So how lucky were we !

I've not visited Ventnor for a couple of years, so it was lovely to go back to Tramezzini today to indulge myself with a 'Tramezzini Breakfast'.

Ate at Tramezzini on a bitterly cold Saturday evening and used a pre-purchased Price Is Wight voucher for a 'Prosecco dinner', which was excellent value for money.

Thought we would visit here for my birthday, had a iow blue cheese risotto with pork belly. THE BEST food I’ve ever tasted in my life. Would defo recommend!! Will be back for sure 👌🏼

Come to celebrate my brothers birthday with the family. I decided to choose something that I wouldn’t normally have. ( seafood paella). This dish was a flavour explosion . Fresh local fish and giant prawn . Can’t wait to try again .

What a fantastic restaurant this is... breakfast, lunch or dinner it never lets you down and can’t be faulted for quality, taste and great friendly service. I visited Tramezzini with my family on New Years Eve. Met with a smiling welcome by the charismatic barman and restaurant manager, Chris and Madison, we were shown to our table and offered the New Year tasting menu. Concerned that my youngest wasn't quite ready for a few of the sophisticated courses on offer, I asked whether the chef would be happy to make something else. Within moments, the owner and talented chef, Adam Fendyke, came out to say hello and talk us through the tasting menu available that evening. He spoke to my youngest and asked him what his favourite dish was, then kindly said that he'd cook "just that".

Always pop in for lunch when down on the Isle of Wight. Delicious food and great service, always delivers an exceptional meal.

Recently visited for a friends 40 birthday.. The food was amazing 22 of us ate beef Wellington which was especially ordered as a surprise for the birthday boy.. The service was fantastic and without fault..would highly recommend.Thankyou for such an enjoyable evening ...

Ordered a few starters and mains, ended up ordering more due to very small portion sizes. Myself and my partner don't mind paying higher prices as long as the quality and flavour is there, not the case here.

Returned to Tramezzini for a post Christmas dinner and great to see a brand new menu. Adam and the team have created a great range of new dishes and it was hard to choose between the Moroccan themed duck breast or the fresh fish catch of the day with smoked mash. I went with the fresh fish and it was perfect as always. Desserts are always amazing here and the hot chocolate fondant didn’t disappoint.

Tramezzini restaurant always feels like the safe place to eat any time of day considering the high quality excellent cooking flavors and dishes and the warm, friendly atmosphere. Since i come from Greece i was so excited that the restaurant is going to have a Greek night, looking forward to it. Having a great knowledge of greek cuisine made me doudtfull about whether the food is going to taste authentic in a foreign country. As soon as we arrived me and three other friends from Greece ( all great admirers of Greek cuisine) my doubts vanished. The friendly staff made us feel so warm and convenient (they even had greek music playing) and the first surprise was after ordering 2 bottles of great red wine the Chef himself came to our table to take the order just like traditonal restaurants do in Greece. We ordered the greek dinner of course which was pork skewers,mousaka, greek salad and tzatziki, all of them cooked in the proper greek way compined with Chef Adams inspiration and creativity. All the flavours and smells, the greek music and warm atmospher took me back to greece. I was surprised again by Chef 's Adams inspiration to add many aromatic herbs in the Greek salad, not just oregano, which is the proper way. The 3rd surprise was the dessert. Doughnuts with honey walnuts and vanilla ice cream called loukoumades. Honestly the best loukoumades i had in my entire life better than any i ever had in Greece. Better than the ones i make myself...

We visited for the second time in the last 3 months worried that the second visit would not live up to the first. We need not have worried. We had the crispy pork belly , burnt apple and Isle of Wight blue cheese risotto and it was delightful. Flavoursome, succulent and perfectly seasoned. The service was perfectly attentive but not overbearing, the ambience was relaxed and with polite company.

Tramezzini is consistent for great food made from fresh island ingredients prepared and cooked with a passion. Adam and the team are always bringing something fresh to tempt us. It might be a small restaurant but it is big on atmosphere and creativity.

I love this place, I don’t think I’ve ever been to tramezzini and had a bad meal, whether a ciabatta at lunch or an evening me as l! The guys out front and in the kitchen are just so accommodating and friendly with great sense of humours! Their Thursday specials focusing on different areas of the world are for one, amazing value and two, cooked very well. A must to visit!

Always a very warm welcome, the Tramezzini breakfast is something really special. Lunchtime and evening menus amazing food,and the theme nights are a must,its like dining in a top London restaurant but with a lovely family atmosphere, well done guys !!

Even with a good choice of eateries in Ventnor, this is always top of the list. I'm in trammezinni most mornings for their great coffee and amazing breakfast. It never disappoints... And with the friendly and knowledgeable staff, and it's eclectic mix of locals, it makes for a great place to socialize too. Keep up the outstanding works guys, me and the dog appreciate it.

This restaurant is so good. Met with friends here for dinner and honestly can say this is the best food in Ventnor. The chefs are so professional and the standard of food is very high, lovely waitress Madison who served us and made us feel very welcome and explained anything on the menu or specials, and had fantastic knowledge on the wine menu. I can highly recommend this restaurant to friends, couples, families with children for that bit of taste and speciality, you will not be disappointed and the atmosphere is spot on. Also must recommend their breakfasts and lunches too which we have tried! Thank you for a great experience! We will be back VERY soon!! X

Popped in on Saturday with some friends for a lunch and yet again I was not disappointed, my friends and I had the famed Tramezzini’s breakfast which did not disappoint at all and would be worth a try by anyone!.

As soon as I recovered from the relief of discovering that I didn't have to wear a tie because it was "Thai evening", everything was great - delicious food (not Thai in my case), attentive but not over-imposing waitress, reasonable value for money..

Very welcoming on a dark cold evening. Service and food was wonderful, we both started with the prawn and local crab tacos , perfect, light and tasty. My husband followed with the sea bream. I had the flat iron steak, served medium rare, cooked just right.

We were there to trial a wedding menu, and we were not disappointed. A Tramezzini special - Moroccan chicken with giant cous cous. Nice and spicy, but not too much, and melt in the mouth chicken that absorbed all the chicken juices.

Perfect thankyou for a lovely meal and service We had scallops/ chicken fillets to start was perfect followed by a fillet steak and the catch if the day, Chef even made us a cheese board to go would definitely recommend we will be back :)

Staying in Ventnor on a short stay -our chef at our hotel not to good on evening meal so went to Tramezzini on hearsay - very good - small - very friendly -food and presentation top dollar !

I simply love this place, the whole atmosphere is so relaxed and the food whatever you choose, excellent every time I have visited. The service is also pretty good and because of its popularity on the island you do need to book.
