Great place to meet up for a drink , the bar staff are the most helpful and happiest I've seen for a long time. The food I can not fault and would recowmmend such a nice place I do mean that. Met up with some friends in the Trafford had a wonderful night, some new bar staff and they were very good and knew their job and still recommend a lovely place to meet up. Lovely seating area outside which made a lovely afternoon.

What has happened to this pub? Came tonight for Luca pizza. The pizza was great but the service in the bar poor. The really grumpy barmaid obviously doesn't like people. The couple in front of us in the queue had a kiddie who picked up the bar drip matt which was snatched out of his hands without a word. When we were served there was no greeting, and we weren't told the total price of our drinks. We had the pizza but then moved on to The Rose which was much jollier. Shame. We used to love this pub.

Great range of cask beers served by friendly staff at a good price

Fathers Day, their was a special roast menu on, the Pork belly and all the trimmings were exceptional. Service was very good. Little Dessert menu was lovely, I had the chocolate brownie, quite a big portion I thought and again was delicious. Would definately dine here again.

Everything you'd want in a great pub, staff are fantastic and work so hard, the food is top quality. Beers well selected and kept, a great range of other drinks especially whiskys and gins etc. too.

Lively pub within walking distance of the city centre. Recently got a new head chef who's taking the food up a notch with a special's menu. My friends and I ordered all 3 starters to share because everything sounded so yummy we wanted to try it all! We were not disappointed, everything was well presented and so tasty. There's also a house menu with more traditional pub grub and generous portions. The highlight though was the lemon posset which was absolutely delicious! Will definitely return to try whatever comes next on the menu and highly recommend to anyone looking for good, but reasonably priced food.

Popped in for a quick pint and to see the range of beers available at their beer festival. We were not disappointed as there was plenty of choice. They had set up a small beer tent which was really very nice and we chose a drink each with expert guidance from the bar men. We also had one of the best sausage rolls I have ever had. All in all a good visit to a good pub.

Cracking pub. Classic interior with a terrific assortment of beers. Didn't have food ourselves but what we saw coming out looked good. Friendly staff, would recommend a visit for a fee beers and a nice meal.

Adi's Kitchen @ The Trafford Arms provided a delightful dining experience this summer, leaving us eager to return. The Samphire and Cromer Crab Linguini and mushroom-filled Ravioli with a cream sauce were both delicious choices. We began with a sharing board featuring cheeses, hams, and breads, which set a pleasant tone for the meal. Overall, the food was exceptional, and we look forward to exploring more of their menu on our next visit. The atmosphere and service further enhanced our evening, making Aldi's Kitchen a place we would happily recommend.

Went for the pub quiz, which was great fun. The bar staff were friendly and service was very fast. Drinks were great with a good variety of choice. The atmosphere was very cozy, which was most welcome with how cold it was outside. Comfortable seating. Outdoor seating available for if the weather is better.

A family party of 12 for an important mile stone. Service was not great, waiter did not have his eye on the ball. It was my special birthday and my husband is a regular (not relevant) I ordered Sea Bass as I am not a big eater. It was tough and couldn't be removed from the skin as being over cooked. Also a heads up from the pub that it was a NCFC home match when booking would have been great. Obviously just a money making pub without any care for any genuine families.Just scrolled through and found you justify yourselves with how much was spent per person... My Husband paid the nigh on £200 bill himself. A suggestion is you change you questions. A very poor service

Party of 4, Sunday lunch for my Uncle who is turning 80. Made to feel very welcome. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Food and service very enjoyable.

The pizza truck on a Wednesday night is just a brilliant idea, especially when it’s sunny. Fab atmosphere, great food and just what you need to make ‘hump-day’ a good day

I must say popped in for Sunday lunch some nice staff except one I found very rude and no people skills should remain in the back . Spoil a good friendly pub..

An honest good old unpretentious traditional English street corner pub

Excellent real ale & lovely city pub ambience. We sat outside in glorious sunshine (the Trafford Arms had an abundance of sun filled tables) which may have gilded our experience- however, staff were attentive and friendly at the bar, and receptive to allowing us to buy food from the local supermarket (no food was being served until 5pm). Would happily wile away another sun filled afternoon here!

Decent local boozer. Good beer selection. Well kept. No longer does its own food but there is a local restaurant Al Dente operating an Italian restaurant from the premises.

We were very happy with the Sunday lunch. We will be back for pasta and small plate menu.

I returned there after more than 40 years. It hadn't changed much. Beer was cheap and it was good to see mild on tap. Sadly, there was no food on offer the day I visited.

Marvellous selection of ales.. My only gripe would be not many darker/higher ABV beers on offer.. Food excellent.. Prices now beyond sensible for Norwich.. £4.60 - £5.50 a pint of ale..!!!!

Not Victorian as it says in the description, but 1950s. Good pub food, fantastic selection of 10 real ales, very friendly staff. A great example of what a good local pub should be like. One of the best, if not THE best, pub in Norwich. Sadly, after Covid/Brexit, the food options are not what they were due to staff shortages. There are pop-up food stalls twice a week in the evening, and Sunday roasts. Beer options are however still excellent!

I’ve been visiting this pub for over 20 years. The beers are always excellent. Just lately the place has been let down by the bar staff. There’s a thin bloke with a beard who was rude and unfriendly. I didn’t feel welcome at all. We had one drink and then left. 7pm on a Friday and the place is near empty tells me others are voting with their feet. Cheer up man.

A breath of fresh air. Wandered up here after the city centre pubs left us wanting. We were not disappointed. Bright cheery place with a good vibe. Excellent well kept selection of ales. So happy, we came back next day for a delicious Sunday roast and more ale.

This is a fantastic real ale pub. Great atmosphere too. It's a real community pub and holds regular events including its annual beer festival over Valentines Day. The food is pretty good as well and reasonably priced. Beers are also well kept and staff are friendly too. Would highly recommend a visit to this pub.

Working local staying in digs close by to this pub only been there twice and have left early on each occasion due to rude and arrogant staff we have another 3 months work here and will avoid this…. hole 👎

My husband and friends enjoyed the beer and food. I was extremely disappointed with my food, vegetable curry. It was priced as the same as the beef chilli, - loads of meat, however I only had 6 pieces of vegetables floating in a curry sauce. No protein so very poor value for money. For a vegan curry please put some tofu or chick peas in, we need protein too! Would be reluctant to eat there again.

Atmosphere is nice and great for a drink with good selection of beer. However food for the price was shocking. Paid £11+ for a “Japanese” curry that was soggy, over cooked and uninspiring with approx five pieces of veg in it. Was soupy and had that “chucked in the microwave” vibe. No idea how it was Japanese. I wouldn’t have been surprised to find the same out of a tin in the budget section in Tesco. Could have done 100 x better myself at home. Maybe go with some better options food wise?!

Had a swift drink here whilst waiting for a bus. It was warm, not too busy and the prices were acceptable. It has a proper pub atmosphere.

Have been here many times in the past, whether it was when I was at college in the late 90s playing pool, or just having a drink and a bite to eat when I was in my area. On this occasion, I was passing and decided that a cold drink was in need. I had a small Diet Pepsi, and surprisingly ended up sitting there for an hour watching the people pass by. The Trafford doesn't have its pool table anymore which I don't mind, it is still the pub I go to for food and drink when I am in the area.

Friendly pub...for white people :( I'm a teacher and a Geordie, who likes to get one with everyone. But I found this pub to be cold and unwelcoming. The staff didn't make conversation with me, even when I tried chatting with them. Locals gave me steely looks even when I smiled at them and until I looked away, while they laughed and chatted with their friends. Never felt uncomfortable in Norwich until I entered this pub because people in Norwich are a polite & friendly bunch. The food was good though, so compliments to the chef. Needless to say, I won't be going back and don't recommend this pub to non-white people.

One of the best community pubs in Norwich! Great food! Some great traditional ales, including my favourite... Wherry! The whole pub looks like it's had a lick of paint recently. Staff are friendly, as are the locals.

Called in as i couldnt walk any further so took a seat outside the manager came out and spoke to me so i explained the bus was stuck as there was an emergency no taxi for an hour he was very nice so i went in spoke to a few customers who were very friendly i had a pint of blondie and i will return alot more many thanks

A friendly local pub with tables outside on the street.The Trafford burger is worth a try - huge and tasty, served with a bowl of thick cut chips. Attentive table service.
