We had multiple problems to begin with we were called 3 hours prior telling us our reservation was being pushed an hour, nothing was ready when we arrived and we had some pretty loud rude people in our section. That quickly turned around due to the amazing staff. As much as i was displeased about the time delay i do appreciate that they were busy and they compensated with a round of drinks and very competent managers that just knew how to talk to people properly. Knowing how to speak to people really is a quality far to many struggle with so i appreciate it very much. The drinks are fabulous and the food was really nice too. The platters are a fave of mine especially the salt fish fritters, they are divine. Thank to bart (he has spikey hair) and a slender blonde woman for really looking after us and making our experience enjoyable despite the hiccups along the way. Also a shout out to the cheeky chap of a barman his banter really helped when i was a stress head about getting my friends celebration right. I look forward to visiting again very soon.

Visited with a group of 15, had a lovely variety of food as we had the set menu it came with a few jugs of rum Punch that was very good and not watered down. We weren’t rushed and enjoyed our evening. After our meal we ventured down stairs, I did enquire about the booth as we were a group dining for a surprise bd dinner. They wanted me to buy a bottle of drink for the booth roughly £170! When I saw the booth I’m glad I didn’t pay to have it even tho we spent the required amount or more at the bar....plus we sat there anyway as it wasn’t booked. They didn’t do anything special for the bd person who’s bd it was not even a lil cake and yes they were advised when booking. Anyway back to down stairs, the music wasn’t great they could do a lot better and utilise the space better. Overall lovely evening

My friend booked a table for us to celebrate my birthday. Really nicely decorated, spacious place and we were greeted by live performances from local artists which was nice. Great to see a vibrant Caribbean restaurant making big moves but, as is the experience of many others when it comes to Caribbean restaurants, the service needs improving. We ordered rum punch to start off with whilst we thought about food. 5 minutes later the waiter came to us and joked that the bar person was sleeping so our drinks should come very soon. 10 more minutes later and we were still wondering what happened so we asked the waiter to look into it. Soon after our drinks came. Considering this was happy hour and the rum punch at £4.50 tasted great, we ordered another. The bar was not too far away from us so we went straight to the bar because there was a lack of waiters around our seating area to make the order. Whilst my friend ordered our drinks, I told the waiter that we had to go to the bar to order and he joked saying "yeah that'll probably be quicker" which isnt the response you would expect to hear. My friend ordered the pumpkin soup which she gave a 7 out of 10 and I ordered the shrimp which was amazing! Our mains were very tasty and filling too although we were quite let down by the service because there was only one waiter to so many other diners and often our waiter would forget items from our order. Just to nit pick, although the food was very tasty and moreish, I ordered the curry goat and rice from the 'large plate' section. I was surprised that although my food came in a large plate, the rice and curry was in two separate bowls on the plate - the same size bowls as the sides section. I know this because my friend ordered various sides which came in the same sized bowls. Finally, if it would be nice to hear some Caribbean music playing in a Caribbean restaurant because my friend and I didnt hear any. During the live performances, lots of soul and rnb played but it wouldve been nice to hear some old school dancehall/reggae/bashment.

We have been staying at the hotel using the breakfast service every day. The quality of the food is very good and they have a complete buffet. To highlight the service and kindness of Lorena, who very kindly helped us with the meals and also with recommendations on how to get around London and other questions we had. Thank you Lorena!!!
