The kiosk halfway along the Bangor Pier. Tiny but tastefully decorated. And seriously tasty treats! Coffee was excellent - as good as our other local favourites (Yugen, Blue Sky and Providero). Hot chocolate (different flavours available) was drained in seconds by my daughter. Cakes were generous, unusual, and left us fighting for the last piece. Home-made scones looked good too. Friendly owner happy to chat, and very committed to the cause: he told us he was receiving more barista training the following week - not sure he needed it from what we were served. And apparently he had also complety refitted the cafe to make it covid secure. Oh and must be the best view from a cafe in North Wales?

What a fantastic find. Visited the pier which is just gorgeous and has stunning views of the Menai straight, Beaumaris, puffin Island and the Welsh hills. Trac 5 is a little cafe on the pier with outside seating. Anna and mike run the cafe and they are lovely and really friendly. There are plenty of drinks, cakes and ice creams to choose from. The cakes are all home made by Anna. We had fresh scones with jam and clotted cream. The scones were absolutely amazing. Freshly made that morning and so tasty. Best scones we have ever eaten. There are also lovely pottery and wooden gifts for sale. A truly magical experience 🥰

This was a very impromptu stop! My daughter in law and I had decided to go for a long walk with my new grandson. By the time we arrived at the pier, we realised that we had walked too far and were in desperate need of a drink. Despite being closed, and only being there to prepare for opening at the weekend, and the fact that we had no money on us, Anna very kindly provided us with ice creams and drinks allowing us to drop the money off later in the week. What a fantastic gesture! Thank you so much. The ice creams were delicious and we felt revived afterwards. We shall definitely visit again when you reopen.

On our first visit we were a group of 10 Bangor University graduates celebrating 50 years since we graduated by revisiting what were once familiar places. Sadly the cafe at the end of the pier (steak and kidney pudding, potatoes and vegetables, streamed pudding and custard plus mug of tea for 4/6 in 1966!) is closed as part of the pier's refurbishment. However, Trac 5, located in what I assume to have been a kiosk for paying to gain entrance to the pier, is an asset we would have welcomed back then. The friendly owners sell tea, coffee and ice creams at very reasonable prices. The coffee is produced (not grown!) locally and is so good we sought it out in a farm shop on Anglesey and bought some for home. We enjoyed the coffee, the view and the reminiscences and on another visit cooled off with ice creams as we strolled along the pier.
