Went to this pub to have a decent pint of Sam Smith's bitter. Won't be returning sadly. The Old brewery best bitter was way off its best. No Sovereign or organic wheat beer on tap. Service OK and nice to see a pub with a pool table and darts board. Very old school and welcome but a pub needs good beer as a basic.

Lovely pub but the beer orders seem a shambles as they rarely have the cheaper beers on ? Conspiracy maybe but it's happened more than twice now ! If I wanted to pay £6-80 for a cider I'd go to a high end pub . Sam smiths was cheaper for a reason . Pity as the pub itself is lovely

Isleworth’s best location for a serene drink overlooking the Thames. Day time or evening, this place is magical. No music, just the sound of the abundant wildfowl, the movement of the river and the wonders of the heronry opposite. Drinks are Sam Smith’s best, unique and brilliant. Lots of organic beers, which suits this location. Love it and so pleased it’s reopened.

Would give 5 stars for location & potential. But averages out at 3*, as again no food available today. Only 3 beers on tap, rest unavail today. Place could really do with cleaning the bird poo and cobwebs in outside area. A shame: enjoyed numerous previous visits since 2012, and when available, food was decent. (I recall in 2012 reviews online would also always mention lost potential for a great location!).

Many a happy Sunday afternoon here on the river terrace, when I lived in the area abt 7 years ago now.. Always a quiet place as off the beaten track. Used to enjoy some organic wheat beer on tap, from memory I thought is was German. I suppose looking at the building now it is a bit Black Forest style with the dark wood so maybe I was mistaken. Good times anyway

This pub has been closed for a while and hopefully opens again soon with new management.the location is fantastic and there is a hidden gem somewhere there. We tried to book a table with a disabled person - but I was told there was no way thay someone who struggles to sit down on a picnic bench would be able to sit at a table outside. When I suggested a table inside, or to move a seat from inside out, I was firmly told that this was not possible. Quite shocking really and no suprise the management vacated shortly after. Hopefully Sam Smiths can find another management team soon.

We were very unlucky there. On a very warm Sunday lunch time, where all other pubs were fully booked, Town Wharf was empty. We decided to sit there and enjoy our food and drink. What a disappointing experience. Food came very cold, after speaking to staff, they provided us with the same dishes and again not even lukewarm. They obviously had no chef at the premisses as it was totally unacceptable. They wanted to reheat for a 3rd time but we asked for a refund. Another 2 tables faced the same experience.

Such a shame that the attitude of one particular staff member can have such a negative impact on the experience of what could be an amazing pub. Disinterested, and unwelcoming are two words I’d use to describe my experience with the dour looking, older member of staff. It wasn’t just with me, she seemed to take a dislike to anyone that walked into the bar when I passed through. One of the members of staff was amazing however, and actually saved the day for me. His friendliness and great manner was the reason I returned and also bought food. Service, apart from with the Asian gentleman, certainly wasn’t the first priority here. I ended up going to The London Apprentice, a mere 3 minute walk away, and the service there was amazing! Great views and great attitude. Town Wharf has the great views, but not the great attitude however, apart from when the young Asian gentleman was around however. It was nowhere near as busy as the London Apprentice, and to me it’s probably obvious why. Such a shame!

Nice welcoming pub, that sits right on the side of the river, looking out towards Isleworth. In fact the Thames Path goes right through the outdoor seating area. The beers are from the Samuel Smith Brewery, so expect a selection of brewery specific variations on all the main types: Lager, Stout, Bitter, etc. Visited after during the Pandemic, after it was allowed to open and all was clean and protected. I didn't have any food, but there was a good selection of pub classics on the menu.

Overall a beautiful pub with an amazing view, however the owner is very rude to customers and more so to people who are younger than the average customer. An overall awkward and uncomfortable experience for me and my mates as the owner accused us of taking drugs when my friend had gone to use the toilet. There are many more welcoming pubs in the area that are respectful to people who are younger such as the London apprentice and the Ailsa tavern.

What a gem of a find on the banks of the Thames. Living in the North of England we are use to a good quality pint of beer but it is hard to find one in London so when we found a Samuel Smith house our hearts rejoiced because we knew the beer would be good and it was. We loved the policy of no phones, tablets or laptops in the pub (outside area only) and we were amused when someone took out their phone and were told they had to go outside to use it or they would not be served. Excellent food and belting value. The landlord is a one man comedy act so keep your head down and enjoy the banter.

This place has a nice patio on the river but that's about it. It is rarely busy, but the service is very slow. As a reference, the London Apprentice just a few places away can probably serve about twice as many people in half the time. I did visit this place despite the poor service purely for the location and the quiet (it is very quiet as there are few people and no music). However, I won't be going back anymore as there is a man who manages at times who makes me feel uncomfortable and is rude. My husband and I also got a pretty severe case of food poisoning from the food there, so I don't recommend anyone order any food.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour by the staff themselves! Not even a warm welcome into the pub and, you feel a sense of isolation! As soon as we entered the pub, I got my phone out just to check up on the time and got shouted at to put my phone away otherwise I'll not be severed. I mean I felt I'm back at school again going back 15+ years. The chap at the bar has no sense of any good customer service together with some decent communication skills! Saying "Matey" and "Yes mate" as customers enter give the impression of a ghetto feel. A simple "Hi Sir" or "Hi Mam" is more than enough of a welcoming feel. The pub is placed in a scenic location which makes it a pleasure to chill and relax, however, the management are the complete opposite. A perfect pub, for the imperfect management!
