The Town Wharf Pub is a hidden gem, quintessentially and beautifully located right on the banks of the river. With stunning waterfront views, it offers a truly inviting ambiance that feels both charming and serene. The warm and comforting service immediately makes you feel at home, setting the stage for a memorable experience. The food options are nothing short of amazing, featuring a diverse menu that perfectly complements the impressive selection of beers, ciders, whiskeys, and other drinks. Whether you’re a craft beer enthusiast, a whiskey connoisseur, or simply someone who enjoys a refreshing cider by the water, there’s something here to satisfy every palate. The coffee, served from high-quality Jura machines, is a standout and adds a delightful touch to the experience—rich, aromatic, and brewed to perfection. As a bonus, the pub also boasts a fantastic selection of ice creams, making it a great spot for both adults and families to indulge in a sweet treat while enjoying the picturesque surroundings. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual drink, a hearty meal, or just a quiet moment with coffee and dessert by the river, the Town Wharf Pub truly delivers on every front. A must-visit destination for anyone seeking a blend of exceptional hospitality, delicious offerings, and an unbeatable location.

I've had two fantastic experiences at the Town Wharf - both times visiting with friends for dinner, and both sets of friends came away raving about the food, the beautiful location and the atmosphere. Mike is really friendly and this is a great all-around pub, but the food is really astonishingly high quality. In summer I had a heritage tomato salad with burrata and the tomatoes were incredible, better than most I've had in the UK. The burger, fish and chips and chickpea curry have also been great. As locals we will come back often, this place is a hidden gem! I've called ahead to book and never had a problem - sitting outside on the river terrace when it's nice out is hard to beat.

Not been here for a long time and won't be going back in a hurry. I've seen all of the positive reviews but sadly, my experience here was rather different. Two guys on today, both unfriendly and not welcoming. The South African guy was particularly rude and pretty much had a go at our group because we had taken up more space than anticipated. Fact is, no one else was up there so it didn't matter and we'd spent a lot of money at the bar, but still made to feel unwelcome and not wanted there. Frankly, he didn't care. When we said we would not come back again he simply said 'that's fine'. Unprofessional and extremely poor customer service. This venue has so much potential, but with staff like that running it, I'm certain it will soon be closed again. No great loss until someone who knows hospitality can take it over.

Incredible location, lovely view of the river and great outdoor space - it’s a shame that’s where the positives end. Beer selection is basic. Wines are selected by colour - you’ve got red, white, rosé… at least there’s no forgetting what you ordered! Bar staff are unhelpful. Owner was clearly unhappy with having kids in the upstairs section even though nobody tried to go up there - being told we restricted their business when we were the only ones contributing was laughable. This pub needs a renovation and a modern owner. We won’t be going back when there are so many better options nearby.

From the perfect riverside location (where you can actually see the river!) we had a perfect meal. Mike was an amazing host and I really hope his passion and enthusiasm re ignites the fortunes of this forgotten pub. The interior of the pub is all traditional wood, stained glass partitions and leather covered seat cushions. There is a pool table and dart board. What more could you ask for? The best part of this pub is the food. I don't know where they sourced the chef, but this person's cooking is top-notch. We've eaten in there twice recently and scraped our plates clean. The recent arrival of Mike and Arlene has lifted what has felt like a previously tired and dated style of management of the Town Wharf. These two gregarious individuals gift our local community with rich storytelling, incomparable customer experience, kindness, warmth and generosity of spirit. In such a short time, we have witnessed more patrons sharing this beautiful space (on sunny and cloudy days, evenings and into the late night) than in the years we have resided nearby. The location of this pub is highly appealing (on the River Thames) but it is this team of four who demonstrate convincing potential for locals, visitors to the area, and first time customers to remain loyal and seek out quality time at the Town Wharf for first-choice relaxation. Historical punters of venues Mike and Arlene have previously run and owned have travelled from afar to support them here in Old Isleworth, and those of us who are building relationships with them feel blessed they have joined and are contributing meaningfully to our neighourhood. Thank you, so much.

With some more backing from the SS chain this will be a gem for the west of London and river lovers. Looking forward to going back.

We tried to book a table with a disabled person - but I was told there was no way thay someone who struggles to sit down on a picnic bench would be able to sit at a table outside. When I suggested a table inside, or to move a seat from inside out, I was firmly told that this was not possible. Quite shocking really and no suprise the management vacated shortly after. What a disappointing experience. Food came very cold, after speaking to staff, they provided us with the same dishes and again not even lukewarm. Such a shame that the attitude of one particular staff member can have such a negative impact on the experience of what could be an amazing pub. Disinterested, and unwelcoming are two words I’d use to describe my experience with the dour looking, older member of staff. It wasn’t just with me, she seemed to take a dislike to anyone that walked into the bar when I passed through. One of the members of staff was amazing however, and actually saved the day for me. His friendliness and great manner was the reason I returned and also bought food. Service, apart from with the Asian gentleman, certainly wasn’t the first priority here. I ended up going to The London Apprentice, a mere 3 minute walk away, and the service there was amazing! Great views and great attitude. Town Wharf has the great views, but not the great attitude however, apart from when the young Asian gentleman was around however. It was nowhere near as busy as the London Apprentice, and to me it’s probably obvious why. Such a shame!

Went in today to watch football, walked in and a bloke obviously local was kicking his phone about screaming and swearing staff just looked at him. I stayed to watch the game but I like rough pubs but this was horrific, toilets were a disgrace no lock on door and toilet paper all over floor and this is a so called restaurant

There is only a few words to describe this place, and one of them is stunning. The food is so authentic and spiceful. Not a lot can beat the Indian flavour of this place. We never have a problem with this place and we have been here about 50 times. There has been non stop changes with the taste of the food. The tandoori vegetable momos are along the favourites. This places is brillant for us as we are vegetarians. We ordered Tandoori Vegetable Momos, Veg Tikka, Veg Tikka Masala, Chilli Paneer and Dhal Makani. Which was excellent. Although if you come to the pub it is a bit of a rowdy place with wild kids and wild people.

One of my favourite places to pop into for a glass of wine in the evening or to pick up something for dinner!

Small, but with a lovely selection of cakes which always taste fresh and delicious. The price for tea and coffee is a but cheaper than the big franchises too
