We stopped by while passing through and were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. The food was reasonably priced, making it a great value for the quality. We'll definitely consider returning in the future.

If you're looking for a no-frills, good breakfast at a reasonable price then i'd definitely recommend here. Two large breakfasts with a coffee and a water came to just over £20 which is similar to what you'd pay at a Wetherspoons but the quality and the portions trump it by far. Neither of us could finish off everything on our plates. We had a wait of around 15/20 mins but it was cooked fresh and served hot which is what i'd prefer. Seating space inside was a bit of a squeeze. There's an outdoor seating area but not many made use of it with it being a rainy summers day (good old British weather!).

Unpretentious and friendly, with a happy band of enthusiasts always around. Planes, helicopters taking off and landing, a treasure trove for the children. Food is simple, well-cooked, delicious, the staff are unfailingly patient and sweet-natured. Can get busy; popular for a very good reason.

I cannot understand any of the negative reviews here, the café is superb, friendly and the food is really good Café, food and great value. I go there a lot and it feels like home from home. Perhaps people complaining of it being dirty I have arrived after a whole crowd has been in, which frequently happens because it’s so popular, and the staff haven’t had time to clear the tables… This is true of any café or restaurant in a busy time.

Very disappointing. Waited 50+ minutes for a straightforward breakfast. (They have a notice asking for patience but even so?) The beans were cold, the tomatoes were pulp and cold and the scrambled egg was stone cold, rubbery and only just edible. The bacon was cold but had been overcooked. The toast was also stone cold as if it had been made then had hung around. The sausage was the only item that wasn'tcold. It was ok but nothing special when there are so many delicious varieties readily available. (Not related to the food but I had no signal on my phone and there's no WiFi which I think has become expected). I regret that I'm unable to recommend it.

After seeing this cafe open all day we decided to come here for an all day breakfast, but on arrival the kitchen was closed for hot food this was at 15:00 if this is the case they should make a note on there website. And the waitress slid the plate of food at you, instead of putting down on the table. Happy days.

Mondays are a nightmare…. Not many places are open to fly in for the £100 lunch ! The weather was clement, I had consulted Carol at Breakfast….. Mmmmmm, Carol….. Landed just before noon, everywhere was busy, restaurant was filling. Ordered our provender and sat chatting. Arrived in a reasonable time, freshly cooked. I chose egg and chips, my paleo friend had scrambled eggs and bacon - he is soooooo focussed. Great atmosphere, good to see so many non flyers in the restaurant. Food was excellent and we made room as soon as done. A nice 20 mins outside in the spring sunshine and we returned to the skies. Please try Touchdown and support a family carry on.

If you want a freshly cooked full English breakfast and you in Stratford Upon Avon or Leamington Spa, then take a drive to this gem of a cafe and enjoy simply the best breakfast ever. The building looks like it’s had better days, but don’t judge the exterior. Step inside and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the cafe. The staff are so helpful and polite and be patient when ordering as can be very busy, so order, enjoy a refreshment and wait for your breakfast to cooked to order. The large breakfast is HUGE. If the weather is good there’s a patio area with benches and tables with views of the airfield so you pass the time watching the aircraft in motion. I’ve lived in the area for almost 10 years and I will always when I get the opportunity to visit, there’s nothing locally that can beat it for value or taste.

Was told about this cafe by a barman in a pub in Stratford. As were heading to Warwick Castle the following day, we thought we'd give it a go. So, we rocked up at 9.15am. We were first in. Glad we were early as ten people or so followed in. We ordered the full breakfast, which was probably the biggest breakfast I've ever had. Cooked to order and a bargain considering what we ate. Service was good. Fascinating to the look at the maps and pictures about the airfield. Who'd have thought it, good value excellent breakfast and good service at an airfield of all places.

Having worked in Customer Service for over 12 years, myself and my family were stunned by the terrible attitude of the staff. When we arrived the cafe was full to bursting with bikers who to be fair to the staff, were probably not expected. We stood at the counter for a good 10 minutes being totally ignored. Bikers had their helmets and jackets draped over tables other people could have had while they stood outside chatting. Then to make it worse, I decided to order food as a table outside finally became available. As soon as i did, two woman serving barked at me, 'It's between 40 minutes to an hour'! Apparently there's only one person cooking for that many people! There were other customers who either walked out or were waving their hands asking where their food was. As we left, the two ladies started laughing. Great advert for crap service. Such a shame as this place used to be amazing. Maybe at the weekend, make it bookable only?

Been here twice now but only had cake previously - which was home made and delicious! Yesterday we had a full cooked breakfast after staying in the area locally and the food was top notch! Quality bacon, eggs that looked and tasted free range and generous portion sizes! The best bit is being able to watch the planes and helicopters taking off and landing at the airfield - a visit to the little museum at the end of the car park is also worth it! £2 per person and the volunteers are brilliant at telling you stories and explaining things! We enjoyed ourselves here and will definitely be back again when in the area.

I would highly recommend this cafe well worth a detour to find at Perth airport. Having tasted various standards of Vegan Breakfasts around the country, I can now say that I have tasted the very best of them all at the Touchdown Cafe. Vegan black pudding and Lorne sausage was excellent along with a generous serving of mushrooms, tattie scone, beans, sausage and egg. Well worth the price paid. The cafe also serves fantastic home made soups and home made sausage rolls. The homemade cakes, Victoria sponge, chocolate cake and carrot cake are second to none. Staff are friendly and Covid aware.

Staff all friendly and helpful.Only one downside for cyclists - nowhere safe to leave bikes and no bars or rack to fix it to. The front of the cafe is open to traffic and its not safe to leave valuable bikes out there. Taking bikes to the rear terrace not permitted even though its the only safe place.

We were greeted by a lovely lady at the till on our way in and placed our food and drink order, we managed to get a table outside next to the fence with a great view of the runway and parked up planes. To say my little girl was in her element was an understatement as she was waving at the pilots as they came past! We didn’t wait long for our food and it was hot , cooked fresh and tasted delicious! Great location next to Wellesbourne Airfield, bit of a greasy spoon style cafe & a bit dated with dirty seats & high chairs, good selection of food, nice but nothing special, the biggest problem is it took over an hour for 2 baguettes & a slice of toast, it was busy but most were having fry ups or baguettes (Bacon & Sausage etc) you could see they were cooking each ticket one at a time rather than bulk cooking to hurry things up.They have a sign on the wall saying"We don't serve fast food, we serve good food as fast as we can"Basically to excuse the fact there not very quick. So its a ok place to go if you want to look at planes & your not in a hurry.

Although the floors had been slopped out, all the gunge was trapped in the corners and the floors left wet.Otherwise a pleasant experience, would recommend a visit. Don't be put off by the Biker's, these are not the young racer's,but most likely middle-age men recapturing their lost youth.

Superb café/diner, doing breakfasts and lunches, open every day bar 2 at Christmas. A large full English is just £6, with a coffee for a quid. The place is part of the airport and you can opt to sit outside to watch the planes take off. Very popular with bikers, cyclists and walkers, we struggled to get a seat at 10am on a busy Sunday morning.Well worth a visit, make sure you are hungry.

Ate here this morning with my husband. He had beans on toast and I had the 'small' breakfast. Beans on toast sounds very ordinary but the brown bread that the beans were served on tasted amazing. My breakfast consisted of two fried eggs, a lovely thick rasher of bacon, a delicious sausage, baked beans and tomatoes. I had a side order of fried bread and an orange juice. The breakfast also comes with toast and butter. My husband also had a cold drink with his order. The whole order came to just over £10, which is good value for money. You can sit inside or outside and view the planes taking off and landing. We got there at 9.30 a.m. and the customers were pouring in, by the time we left around 40 minutes later it was getting pretty busy. It was a Sunday morning on a Bank Holiday weekend but we got the feeling that this excellent little cafe has its regulars. We would certainly recommend a visit if you are in the area. Great value for money and good honest food. Breakfast is served all day and Lunches, sandwiches and snacks are available too. Please note the cafe (at the time of visiting) does not take cards. Cash only. We will return soon.

Yummy food, good service and a peaceful and cosy vibe. We had a lovely dinner on a Monday eve, which really set us up for a relaxing break. My scallops and trout were both delicious.

overall a lovely hotel and brilliant food. however i couldn’t help but notice the lack of respect from staff members to other fellow staff. i think staff for a hotel this nice should be kind and attentive and not out right rude.

Lovely friendly and cosy pub. Great selection of meals and beer, all fairly priced. Easily my favourite pub in Shipston.

Great location, but you need the weather to go with it, and the cream teas are good enough to back for.
