Gone down hill not freshly cooked.

Excellent service, staff were so friendly and helpful. Such a huge menu at really good prices and I was so impressed with how many gluten free items they have and how careful they were to prepare it.

Always get great food from here , batter on the fish was very light and crispy but not hard just lovely. Portion sizes are amazing. Will always use this place when I'm up here from somerset .

Not a coniseur however I do know what good fish and chips are and the totton fish bar is right up there. Best I have had for a very long time. Good work.

Hi .got chips and Kabab meat for £7.50 not value money.got less meat .then charged me extra for sauce out of a bottle that tasted terrible. Meat was so thin it was crispy at the edges. Compared with other Kabab meat around this must be the worst no flavour at all .its not just about the money. You only get back what you put in.

My wife and I try to avoid gluten, and Totton Fish Bar offers gf fish and chips as an option. Excellent, with lovely crispy batter.

We went to Totton today we live on the other side of town but found this wonderful Fish and chip shop that we had not visited before. Just the two of us and ordered a lunchtime fish and chips - goodness me was excellent value for money and lovely too. Very pleasant staff we ate in after a bit of thought and really enjoyed our food. So much to choose from on a varied menu - excellent place will definitely be going back again - the bar is a little gem.

Absolutely daylight robbery. £15.60 for 2 cheesy chips and 2 battered sausages. Never buying from you again.

Thank you Guys for a truely delicious fish and chips lunch. I had the biggest plaice I think I have ever seen and my husband had a lovely piece of cod. The chips were good too. Piping hot, looked, smelt and tasted absolutely lovely. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Decent food, huge menu. Prices are wild though - £5.50 for a relatively small cheesy chips is absolutely mental.

Fish was very nice, pea fritters was small.and very hard like golf balls. Sausages and battered Sausages was ment to be large but about 3 ins long. Chips were only half cooked but the portion was massive 1 portion would do 3.over all I wouldn't return but was on holiday in the area so probably wouldn't anyway. Found this shop on Google wish I didn't as 59.00 for 5 people was poor.

I order haddock and chips, this fish was so greasy and soggy and totally tasteless . Absolutely waist of money .do not use

Not terrible by any means. Generous portions and the interior was clean. Lots of lunchtime offers etc written up on the windows but these may be just for advertising, as none were applied at the till when I went to pay. It this sense then it seemed pricey but could have been cheap if they were applied. The fish was a bit soggy and greasy, but some like that so it’s down to opinion! Generally fine, but not amazing.

I phoned a large order through for a group event, the food was hot, freshly cooked, ready on time and tasty. The staff helped to carry the order to my car and were extremely friendly. I would recommend them & definitely use them again.

Huge menu, all sensibly priced, gluten free options. Excellent batter and chips, decent portions and proper mushy peas for any northerners - non of your minted pea purée nonsense.

It was OK - went on the lunch hour hoping for some fish, but nothing cooked. Had a very average pie, chips and a tin of pop for £8.70.... I won't be rushing back.

The quality of the food is going downhill unfortunately… screaming staff and managers. They speak a foreign language with customers there very disrespectful.. probably the staff it’s here illegally in our country. The smell of the oil is nasty 🤢 soon as you go in there we can feel that disgusting smell of low quality oil I can tell that because I work in a kitchen and my friend works on nhs and the tattooed manager when asked about gluten free items start lying saying they’re connected with the nhs !? God know what he’s trying to say but it’s just rubbish… never again

Nice clean place with fresh cooked to order fish and nice chips

Useless place, we placed a telephone order last night, my dad went to collect the order, when he got home, we didn't receive any chips, when we asked for 2 portions, the chicken kebab was vile, the meat was very tough and smelt weird, the prices are also very high, we requested 3 'regular' sized kebabs, and they charged us for 3 'large sized' kebabs!!! We also asked for 3 Sprite drinks, and they sent us 3 Fanta's instead. This company are a total disgrace. We will NEVER use this takeaway again, AWFUL experience. My dad is going back in there this afternoon to get a refund, or a part-refund at least.

Crazy good service. Had a simple ‘sausage and chips’ order which was wrapped and ready before my card payment had even complete. I was in and out within 60 seconds, on a Saturday afternoon. Food was very tasty, had a perfectly cooked and battered jumbo sausage with a well sized medium chips. Parking not ideal but seems most customers stop on the double yellows nearby.

was recently at this fish bar by chance and it was an interesting surprising experience. nice food in a very nice quantity, presentation and qualtity. the service was one of the best I lately experienced. our waiter Jamie was very keen on keeping us there and treated us like royalty. we had a great time, a great meal and an ecellent service provided by Jamie with his kindness and gentle since the very moment we walked in until we left. so, yes, highly recommend a meal at this fish bar.

I was in need of a late morning snack to get me through a busy morning at work, and a simple cone of chips was all that it took to satisfy my needs. And boy was I satisfied. Fresh chips in a generous cone size with plenty of chips above the cone rim, in a paper spillover. The smell, the taste, THE TEXTURE! The rest of the office were pushed into a chip-frenzy, and couldn't control their insatiable need for that sweet sweet savoy hit. Returning from 'T.F.B' with their own cones, shortly after. TLDR: Chips-tacular.

Honestly, surprised the rating isn't higher... Really nothing to complain about any time I've enjoyed food from Totton Fish Bar. Burgers are very good, perhaps the best fish and chips in the area, and generally the selection is wide and varied. Really something for everyone. Highly recommend!

Brilliant Fish and Chips. The fish was nice and flaky and the batter with deliciously crispy. My wife ordered a gluten-free Fish and chips and that was awesome too. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. There is 2 hours free parking just around the corner from the restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place.

There is a HUGE selection of items on the menu offered at Totton Fish Bar. Sometimes extras on offer (Loved the pigs in blankets. Nom nom.) Staff are really friendly and quick to serve. Never had a bad meal from here. Would recommend for sure.

This was my favourite chip shop but last time I got. Kebab the meat was so inedible. The shavings were hard and not nice at all.. didn’t complain because I thought it was a one off ... then I got the pie and chips the pie a crust was so hard even a my knife would not break it so has to leave it. And the chips were the worst I have ever eaten 3 of us had to pick outa the best we could I found 8 !! The rest went in the bin. I definitely reckon they were reheated from the lunchtime trade ....There won’t be a third visit

Ordered a doner kebab , 12 chicken nuggets, medium cod and large chips and curry sauce. Received a chicken kebab , over cooked chips ,fish very greasy , curry sauce very lumpy , nuggets where ok ! Sadly this isn’t the first time they have messed up our order .

What's going on guys. Came in for jumbo bartered sausage and chips. Got home with my order to find 2 shriveled up battered sausages in place of the jumbo. So over cooked and died out they were only fit for the bin. Not a good advert
