Tottington Manor Hotel & Restaurant in Horsham

I'm a member of the Stag Owners Club and we've adopted Tottington Manor Hotel for our club and breakfast meetings. Located at the foot of the South Downs in a quiet countryside setting with large gravelled carpark it's a lovely spot. I've not stayed overnight at the hotel so am unable to comment on the rooms but the public areas, (and our meeting rooms), are clean and nicely furnished whilst the staff are friendly and attentive with nothing being too much trouble. Guests are made to feel very welcome. The breakfasts there are memorable - homemade fruit yoghurts, croissants, and a variety of cooked breakfasts are available. Like the majority of our members I go for the Full English - a superb well cooked dish comprising your choice of egg, (fried, scrambled or poached), vine tomatoes, large field mushroom, a large meaty sausage, bacon, baked beans and toast all washed down with fruit juice, coffee and tea. I've no hesitation in recommending.

I highly recommend Tottington Manor! We got Married here in September and were looked after exceptionally well. Cannot thank Helen, Cat, and the team enough for everything that they did for us from planning right through to our amazing day. Helen and Cat have so much knowledge and information on everything you would need to know, and are so happy to guide you through the process step by step, keeping you informed all the way. Chris and his amazing team also looked after us well. The food had absolutely no issues, everyone raved at how fantastic and tasty it all was. My grandson who has quite a few allergies was looked after so well all the time we were there, catering to everything he needed. He had the biggest smile on his face as his own special dessert came out, which my daughter-in-law was so grateful for and did ask to give a huge mention of thanks to the team for looking after him so well. Thank you team Totts for making our day so special 😊

From start to finish, my stay was thoroughly enjoyable. Although my room was on the small side, it was imaginatively decorated and well equipped - as was the bathroom. Food was superb and the service excellent. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough.

Tottington Manor Hotel is a great venue for anyone wanting some peace and quiet situated in a lovely location. With the South Downs staring down at you, the day spent here has been better than I expected. All the staff have been welcoming, attentive and in general nice to be around. A really positive experience where I will definitely come back. Thank you!

My mum and stepdads wedding was hosted here and everything and everyone was incredible from start to finish! Not only did the staff cater to and look after one of our younger family members with their intolerances and allergies, but they made us all feel so welcomed too! The gentleman that served us in the morning for breakfast (didn’t catch his name) was so so good! He remembered our orders as a large group and made jokes and quips too! The whole place is kept incredibly well, no dirt or dust or anything out of place surrounded by beautiful views! Fresh towels and “fluffing” on the morning of the wedding as we had stayed the night before and quick to fix any problems we may have had! Thank you so much to the whole team there who looked after our whole huge family and we would definitely visit again soon!

From the initial booking, to choosing menus and decorating the room the staff were really helpful and kind. We would like to say a special 'thank-you' to Eve and Dylan who looked after our mum's celebratory evening with such professionalism, sensitivity and human warmth - you made a special day, very special for our mum. Just had our wedding here, Cat and Millie and their team did an amazing job seeing that our day was the best. The sun came out for the outdoor ceremony and with such a great space and friendly staff all our guests had a great time as did we . everybody mingled chatted danced and were fed . We would highly recommend Tottington Manor Hotel for any type of event.

It was with some trepidation that I accepted an invitation from friends to join them for Sunday lunch here. Having read the many ONE star reviews on Google, I was prepared to be underwhelmed. I needn’t have been so worried. (Incidentally, who writes a review for a place they’ve never BEEN TO, based on what they’ve seen on TV ???!!) The welcome upon our arrival was warm and friendly. It was busy, but not excessively so. We were offered a choice of tables. Inside. Outside. In the shade. In the sun…. We chose a table on the terrace which was lovely, especially once the windows were opened and the blinds lowered part-way for shade. Pre-lunch drinks were served quickly, and to our exact requirements. The Sunday lunch menu offers plenty of choice. My friends chose to share a variety platter, which looked lovely, and substantial. I had the twice-baked cheese soufflé. Which was marvellous, if a little dense for a soufflé. The home made chutney served along side was epic! One of our party had the nut cutlet for a main, even though she’s NOT a vegetable. We others had the roast belly pork, which was lean and succulent. It came with plenty of veggies, and a perfectly passable Yorkshire pud. We had to ask for apple sauce, which was the only let-down of the whole meal, being of the bought-in variety and too sweet. Deserts. My friends had a coffee and a mini cherry tart. Very home made and delicious, they said. I had affogato. Which was, well, it was affogato. You can’t really go wrong with a scoop of ice cream and a shot of espresso. The wine was pricey for a bottle with a screw cap. But I forget how expensive wine is in the U.K. I stuck to fizzy water. We weren’t rushed through the meal and the service both by the waiting staff and the owner was impeccable. We spent £170 for three of us, with drinks, wine and food. Including some extra side dishes. We shall return.

We have used Tottington Manor on multiple occasions for various events and it was an absolute success! The manor's elegant ambiance and stunning grounds provided the perfect setting for both productivity and relaxation. The meeting facilities were top-notch, equipped with all the necessary technology and comforts to ensure our sessions ran smoothly. The staff were incredibly attentive and catered to our every need with professionalism and a genuine willingness to help. The dining experience was exceptional, with a menu that delighted every palate and impeccable service throughout our stay. Overall, Tottington Manor exceeded our expectations in every way, making it an ideal choice for any event. We look forward to continue visiting and using the Manor’s facilities!

Was very impressed with venue, we attended a wedding the whole venue was tastefully decorated with beautiful flowers and candles and the garden area was also pleasant. The rooms looked big, clean and comfortable. The whole evening was good. service,music and food was also very well thought out and presented well. There's even a restaurant that we intend to visit well done everyone a really good night

We went for an overnight stay with dinner, bed and breakfast. The hotel is not far from Brighton in the heart of the downs and we looked across to fields with sheep and their lambs. The hotel was very well appointed. We had a lovely room and both the evening meal and breakfast were of excellent quality. What made the hotel stand out for us was the young staff. We felt they were exceptional. They were confident, friendly, attentive and keen to chat at the appropriate times. This was our first visit to the hotel and we will return. We were impressed. We were there on a mid week evening. We can imagine that at weekends it could become very busy as there was a lot of outdoor seating available.

Host is a horribly rude person. Room needs to be tidied, looks like it’s from the 1980s. And the attitude of the host is the same. Service reasonable, location is the best feature, because you can escape this horrible host and hotel.

We were guests at a family celebration. It was a wonderful day - delicious, non-pretentious food, excellent service, great facilities, in the most delightful location.

I booked my birthday lunch for my family of 22 we had a fabulous time, we were greeted with a warm welcome, food was delicious and the setting was perfect. I would definitely recommend this venue. Thank you for the care and attention to detail in forward planning by the team made my day very special.

Literally 5 star in all sense of the term, immaculate and timely service, food was probably the best I’ve had anywhere in the south (I had the lamb roast) absolutely recommend visiting at any time of the day. Also the view is 10/10

Couldn’t believe the owner’s approach on their recent Four in a Bed stint. Abrasive, rude and delusional. More than happy to give out unfair comments and completely unable to accept fair comments. It makes me worry, if I were to have a complaint, that the owner would be just as rude to me rather than seek to solve the issue. Such a shame. Ruined any desire to come here.

I booked 10 of us for Sunday Lunch at Tottington Manor last Sunday for my wife's birthday. The weather thankfully was glorious and we sat out side on their lovely terrace overlooking the most amazing views of the south downs. We were served the most delicious lunch for both adults and the children including huge plates of succulent roast beef, pork, chicken with all the trimmings. The team at Tottington also provided a most amazing birthday cake, the best I have ever tasted. Service from the moment we arrived at 12pm to the time we left at 5pm was exemplary - nothing was too much trouble and the team really seemed to enjoy looking after us which they did so well. There was also excellent live jazz music quietly playing in the background. What a truly wonderful day and fantastic value for money. THANK YOU TOTTINGTON

Visited Terra restaurant for the 2nd time (not stayed at hotel yet) but have to say it's stunning! Food was exquisite and beautifully locally sourced with all local Sussex produce daily stocked too! The recent refurbishment is really amazing and they have done a fantastic job. Food 11/10 Atmosphere 10/10 Can't fault it and we'll be back again in no time!

Tucked between the folds of the South Downs. Sussex as Sussex should be. Splendid spot to stop for refreshments mid walk. Small but comfortable garden. Good parking. Will be looking to return sooner than later, hopefully sooner

Overpriced and dilapidated in parts. Odd smell of mince and too much gammon on the menu.

Why are you & old owners all on companies house as the organisation that now owns and runs Tottington manor⁉️ ....maybe a mistake but either way it doesn't show an honest appearance when wasn't mentioned on your channel 4 appearance especially giving the fact that Jamie and his wife were on same show quite recently. Clarification should have been sorted before 4 going ahead with filming.

Tottington Manor is wonderful, we recently got married here and had the most amazing time. Staff are friendly, and nothing is ever too much. The service, food and drink is all amazing. The communication from the first time we visited was great and continued throughout. Only slight mark down is for the rooms as some little bits of paint/wallpaper need attention, and a fridge in the room would be helpful. Can’t wait to be back!

After watching Tottington on four in a bed I had the pleasure of visiting, it is a lovely place with an incredible setting in the countryside, and close to Brighton. The restaurant, lounge and outdoor seating were brilliant. We felt so comfortable and had excellent service from Arian and a very warm welcome from Helen and Phil, who really make the place. It’s worth visiting, food is 10/10 and I’m sure you’ll love it as much as we do. Thanks Helen and Phil you are great hosts

Ruth and I have just been married at the Tottington Manor. Cat and the team have been amazing. From the beginning to the end they were with us at every point. Such a beautiful team and venue that work so incredibly hard to make your day special. We would highly recommend. The food was just amazing and all our wedding guests loved the whole experience. Attended a wedding here and stayed over on May 8th, it was a wonderful experience. The staff are so helpful and friendly, the food is outstanding. I recommend this place.

I don't know where to start. I just recently had my wedding at Tottington. I saw the venue and I met Helen I knew that was THE PLACE I wanted to get married. In addition to it being a beautiful countryside venue, Helen made us feels so welcomed and at home. They take control of everything to make sure your special day is beautiful and in the way we wanted it to be. The word "no" is not in their vocabulary unlike the other venues we looked at! Helen and Cat listened to all our needs and worries, and were always a calming influence. I never had any stress in the arranging of the wedding or even on the actual wedding day. After the wedding we got so many compliments about the venue and the food from our guests which confirmed again how correct decision it was. All the staff were so lovely and welcoming throughout the day. This place will always be so special for me, especially after my incredible wedding day! I can't talk highly enough! HUGE THANK YOU ALL!!

We went to Tottington Manor for afternoon with my parents. The tea was sandwiches, 2 savouries, scones and cakes. Everything was very yummy and there was enough tea as we could drink. Nice location in the middle of nowhere. It was very busy as a wedding was on, and the hotel were very good and told me.

I wanted to say a massive thankyou to the amazing team at Tottington Manor especially cat she was absolutely amazing I could not fault the service we recived for our wedding there was nothing missed she had everything under control I didn't have to worry once every little detail was perfect. Cat helped us with every little thing and guided us throughout the whole process as we were pretty clueless but made everything perfect. The venue is absolutely beautiful food was simply amazing and very reasonable compared to most venues we looked at rooms were beautiful. Need I say more If your thinking of booking your wedding at the Tottington Manor stop thinking and just book you will not be disappointed ❤️ 5 stars does not show enough how amazing the team are.
