Booked two days camping here based on the owners description of the attached pub and well presented site. Pub was closed, the site is horrible. Grass pitch too wet he said. Expected us to park on the road amongst work vans and grimey caravans. Shower and toilet facilities look gross. This place is not suitable for winter camping and looks nothing like the advertised photos or description. Didn't meet us as he said he would. Many similar reviews from other campers using Pitch Up and Trip Advisor. Since changed his description on Pitch Up.. Worth reading those reviews to see how he responds to feedback. Refusing a refund.

Not fit for winter camping & no pub open! We expected winter camping in Feb but this site is not suitable. Being offered to camp on a road doesn’t work instead of a hard standing pitch and overall the site was very dilapidated with poor facilities. The pub, which was the main selling point on the website, is not open. On the positive side we did find Sumners Pond campsite nearby which is excellent.

Lovely country pub with a lovely atmosphere. The food was excellent and served hot. Rob and his wife were very welcoming and very friendly.Couldn't fault anything. We stayed with our friends for two nights on the campsite which at first didn't look great but actually loved it and would recommend the site, food and location to anybody. Nice walk along the footpath into Billingshurst about 30 minutes, lovely small village with good coffee shops pubs and shops. Dog walk field adjacent for off lead walks.

Visited the campsite for my 2 weeks holiday. Everyone was cramed in, trees overgrown and hitting the caravan. Very poor entrance with potholes which we got told to avoid. 1 of the water taps was disgusting and dirty. Owners daughter would walk into our awning without being jnvited and took my sons bike, I had to go outside and tell her to give it back as she wouldn't when he asked. Toilets and showers not very nice. Wouldn't visit here again!

Service not great. The two behind the bar were constantly on there phones laughing at videos. I can only assume the child (6ish) was the owners child, running and making loads of noise in the bar area. As for the food, it was pretty tasteless to be frank. Nobody bothered to check to see if everything was alright during the meal which is very odd by today's standards. You'd think at a beautiful old place like this the owners would be a bit more concerned about customer service. Like most of their reviews also say, we won't be going back

Embarked on a culinary adventure to The Limeburners in Billingshurst with the in-laws. Opted for The Limeburners burger, which seemed to have embarked on a solo expedition through the Sahara – quite dry, but the cheese came to the rescue like a dairy superhero. Meanwhile, my fellow diners tackled the pie and Thai burger, perhaps in an attempt to experience cuisine from all corners of the globe. While the food was passable, I left with a sense that the local food scene might just be hiding its better gems elsewhere, like a masterful game of hide-and-seek. Cheers to potential gastronomic exploration beyond these walls

Staff were lovely (shout out to Mae who is delightful), hard working and attentive . All staff were clearly very busy which is always a good sign and my meal did not disappoint. Was recommended to this site, bit very disappointing, owner was welcoming, but otherwise very tatty, as you entered the first thing you are faced with is 2 very old and dirty caravans, obviously there permanently, the toilet were OK and didn't use the showers as you had to pay for them on top of the £40 a night, which was grossly over priced. We booked the pub for a meal with friends who live near by, there was about 5 starters 2 of which said they didn't have so unless you wanted fish there was nothing else, main meals were nice, desserts again were 4 choices, 2 which were unavailable so it was crumble or ice cream, this was a bank holiday so really should have prepared better, Sunday they didn't open allday, All in all very untidy, and very dirty around the fresh water tap, will not return.

Starters average, Mains very good. Despite staying on-site, it was a great shame and very disappointed to be informed the pub was being closed at 10pm, ON-THE-DOT, at the Easter weekend, even though the official hours were publicised as the usual 11pm! Literally told we had 8 minutes to drink the drinks we ordered at 9:52!!!! We were not rowdy, drunk or even slightly impolite... and we weren't even the last customers in the bar. What's that about?!!! I suppose the £130 we'd spent on food, camping and drinks was adequate and they didn't want any more - interesting way to run a hospitality business! Nice traditional pub otherwise.

Awful rude staff. On arrival, we were asked if we'd booked a table rather than a polite greeting or request for what we wanted. In fact, all we wanted was a drink. We were told there were no tables to sit at they were all booked for meals, and if we wanted to sit down, we'd have to go outside. Again, before asking us what we actually wanted. There were no tables in the pub other than for lunch, which was fine it was just the abrupt rude way in which we were quizzed on arrival. If it wasn't that we were thirsty having walked from Billingshurst, we would have just walked out.

We had a weekends camping at Limeburners. Check in was painless and the site is small but not cramped. It was one of the quietest sites we'd ever been on without any need for an over-zealous evening policy. Only a couple of challenges - there was no hot water in the washrooms or washing up area without any apology or explanation for the whole weekend. Luckily the showers are electric. Service in the pub was painfully slow and they seemed to be completely overwhelmed by a relatively small amount of custom, but the food was OK. Some lovely walks in the area around the Wey & Arun canal.

Also our roast came out after literally 3-4mins after ordering and I'm bit being funny and I nbwo a roast is ready prepared but bitters dry and like a cheap micro meal which i did not appreciate even if the bits were cooked before ordering which I understand is a must with a roast but it came far too quick for my liking.

I recently visited The Queen's Head in Barns Green, and I have to say, it was one of the best roasts I've had in a long time! The portion was generous, with an abundance of perfectly cooked vegetables that really made the meal stand out. The flavors were spot on! To top it off, I indulged in the jam sponge with custard for dessert, and it was absolutely amazing. The sponge was light and fluffy, and the jam added the perfect touch of sweetness, complemented perfectly by the custard. Overall, a fantastic experience – delicious food, friendly service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Just popped in for a pint on early on a Saturday evening and the pub was very busy in the restaurant. The food looked fantastic. Very friendly bar staff.

Met friends for afternoon tea. Can Thoroughly recommend . Savouries in particularl were far superior to the usual finger sandwiches you get elsewhere. Scones and cakes all delicious . Staff very friendly and helpful. Thank you

Just ordered my first takeaway. Had one of the meal deals which was incredible value for the amount of food included (under £9 for main sized curry and rice) and tastes delicious.
