Got some takeaway here to the beach. I think the food is average and the cod is good. Though no fried chicken provided.

Had takeaway fish and chips whilst on holiday in the area. The large cod was not only enormous, but so beautifully cooked and such good quality. Good chips and nice fish cake and mushy peas too. Bought a savaloy for the dog who ate it all! £15 for the lot. Will be back later in the week!

Their was more batter than fish and it was as hard as iron - over cooked, The chips had a strange taste too. How hard is it to cook a simple bit of fish and chips!!!!

Ate here whilst in the IOW on holiday. Food was freshly cooked and very tasty. We got there just in time and were second in the queue, 5 min later the queue was out of the door so this speaks for itself

We come to Cowes regularly to escape from Newport. We have never had a bad meal here in fact we wouldn’t go to any other chip shop. The fish and chips are cooked to order so very fresh and reasonably priced. We highly recommend Totties.

We had cod and chips for two. The whole meal was swimming in grease when we got back to our accommodation. The fish was over cooked and the chips tasted odd. We couldn't eat any of it and put it outside on our balcony but even the seagulls weren't interested! The man who cooks this rubbish should be let go.

Asqueroso no definir nuestros sentimientos. Este lugar es ahora muy malo! Evitar a toda costa!

I favour totties due to the style of chips they serve might not be everyones cup of tea but i love crispy chips, cant stand other local places selling greasy oil covered soggy potatoes... It could definitely do with a fresh look but i don't go there to admire the walls i go there for chips!

Only popped in for fish and chips. Served them in HALF trays, chips tasted like they were cooked yesterday and refried hourly every hour since. Fish was greasy and poor quality. This was Cowes week. Every other place was rammed. Totties wasn't. I now know why.

Best chips in Cowes for sure. We often go when its not too busy and the chips are usually cooked to order which is a nice touch. The chips are large and chunky which may not be to everyone's taste but I find them delicious. Fish portions are large and good tasting. The staff are polite but very quiet, I suspect there might be a slight language barrier occasionally, but they always try hard and have corrected any mistakes in the order promptly. Overall I would definitely recommend as a nice inexpensive place to get some lovely chips in Cowes.

Ordered 2 small fish and chips from here last night. Turned out that it was a regular sized piece of fish priced at £4 cut in half but I was charged £3 per piece! Not a bad profit for them just to cut a piece of fish in half!!

As the titel of my review say, do not enter this chip shop. ITS ABSOLUTELY AWFUL !GOOD POINTS - NOTHING AT ALL !BAD POINTS - EVERYTHING ! - food was very poor, very slow service, complete miserable people working In there, didn't even make eye contact, let alone smile or conversation. Staff need a complete overhaul - teach them how to interact with customers when serving, and cook properly would help to start with. Dread to think what it like in the kitchen area out of sight etc, Prob not very clean/hygienic. SHUT THE JOINT DOWN, IT WOULDN'T BE MISSEDThere are some top chippies on the Island, but this place is a disgrace.

Nice pizza, kebab etc, they deliver too. We ordered at the shop, asking them to deliver to our house where our kids would accept delivery. We paid and gave them a tip for the delivery. My son told me later he tried to give them a tip too (thinking we would've forgotten) but the delivery guy refused, stating honestly he had already gotten the tip. Refreshingly honest!

Sorry Totties but the fish and chips we had last night were just dire. We were starving so we ate what we could but most of it went straight in the bin. The chips were well overdone, as was the cod. Each had clearly been sitting in the warmer for a while because the cod was as dry as anything and the batter...well, golden, light and crispy it was NOT. This was New Years Eve so your trade should have been buzzing and as such, I would have thought you'd make damn sure your food was cooked perfectly simply to ensure return custom. Word of mouth can make or break. Quality and service is EVERYTHING to put it bluntly. You're handing your competitors your business on a plate. Have a read of Corries reviews. Better still....go and eat there. You'll learn a lot I suspect.Finding a positive...I will say your portions are great but then again...it's no good having a lot of something inedible is it. Shame.

Poor customer service. Poor quality food, Luke warm at best which was dry from being kept under heat for too long. The chips were the worst I have either tasted dry but at the same time being able to taste the oil in which they were cooked. From that taste I could deffinately say the vats needed rinsing and cleaning more.

We order small cod and chips, pie and chips and sausage and chips. They don't do kids meals and the fish comes in bits and was full of bones to the point it was unedable when complained about this was told that's how it comes in and nothing they could do. Not even a refund or a sorry for something that couldn't even be eaten. Not to mention my partner and 2 Year old boy spent much the afternoon and evening on the loo.

Having placed 3 separate and not complicated orders, we waited half an hour before pointing out that other customers had arrived and left in the meantime, just as someone else was saying the same to them. They then started serving the food and tried to out it all out together. I said I now didn't trust them to get it right an would check it. Just as well as it was wrong with things missing. They didn't apologise and shuffled around the paper order receipts while making a complete mess of things. The food was pretty ropey when we got it home. Awful!

I visited the shop three times now (convenience, I live 2 minutes away from it) and every time I was disappointed with the chips. At first I hoped the bad product was a one off and went there again but, sadly, every time I received terrible overcooked chips, probably fried in oil that hasn't been changed for years, as there were lots of tiny black dots all over. I couldn't eat them and I would not risk buying any product containing meat or fish from there. I'm glad I've found a different chip shop in Cowes.

Totties was once a chippy and has the traditional style fryer. Ordered jumbo sausage and chips as well as fish and chips. Order took ages, you have to wait. Chips are the worst ever, their version of a jumbo sausage is two small sausages and the fish was utterly disgusting! Batter was rubbish and the fish had no flavour whatsoever. It tasted very watery!!Food is way overpriced too. Extremely disappointing seemings the premises is so close to the sea. A much better chippy is just along the shops by sainsburys.Avoid !! P.s. The receipts have the wrong date and time too and when you ask why they just say that's how they print out lol. What a receipt in May saying January is acceptable then ?!

Was in Cowes last week for a walk round (took all of about 40 mins btw, nothing really in Cowes, especially this time of year !), and on the way back to the car went in this chippy for the first time, never really knew it was there before. As someone put in a review, you have to wait for the chips to be cooked, was none ready, I ordered small sausage with my chips, came to 3 quid but had to wait about 10 mins. The foriegn bloke serving in there seemed very grumpy, not making eye contact, no conversation, no smile, I felt like shouting at him GO GET ANOTHER JOB IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE HERE ! ! So not a very welcoming experience when you are in the place.Food and portion size was ok, not the best i've had but also not the worst. If in Cowes and you want chips, I recommend Corrie's Cabin over this joint. (Its up the other end of the TOWN ?)I eat in chip shops alot, so have tried out loads of different places , ones high on my recommendation list include Oggies in Newport Town Square, Chubby's In Shanklin town, Stotesbury's up Nodehill in Newport, and the one over Pan Estate, get gigantic portions over there, AND AT LEAST THEY ALL SMILE WHEN SERVING YOU AND TAKING YOUR MONEY, WHICH IS MORE THAN THIS PLACE DOES !Overall, it was ok, but would not rush back.

We were returning from the Needles after a long day and we needed some 'Seaside Fish and Chips'.Stopping in Totland (not East Cowes as the review title says), we found 'Totties' - a chip shop cum pizza cum burger cum kebab shop.We ordered a chicken kebab (cooked fresh from the skewer), chips, fish and some 'mini cod bites' for our two young girls.Wow! Talk about value for money! We had to throw one and a half bags of chips away as the portion control was HUGE - and we only ordered small bags! The girls cod bites (and I'm always disappointed with 'Kids' meals in fast food places - AND pubs, come to mention it) - were AWESOME. They received about 8 pieces of thick, juicy Cod which tasted gorgeous - the batter being light and not at all greasy.Chips - very good. And lots of them!Kebab? Ok. I wanted more in the way of tandoori chicken and this was more like a light seasoning which I'm sure would appeal to most. It was tasty and well cooked on a char-grill.Cod - I had to look twice because I think they served me a portion of Blue Whale....it was ENORMOUS! Tasty too.For me the only real let down was the curry sauce. Not brilliant - but certainly not the worst I've eaten. If you're hungry - I'd recommend this. Go for the small portions as they are huge. Not the best chip shop in the world - but I would certainly point people in its direction if they were hungry and wanted top value for money.

First visit here, I had small doner kebab , all salad and garlic sauce, 3 piece chicken and fries, had it delivered, and it was really good food, excellent doner kebab, looked nice, good portion size, fresh salad, and I really enjoyed it, my son had the fried chicken and we shared the fries. Delivered and delicious food, nice and hot. Well done guys, will definitely be using you again.

Shanklin Dominos is so disappointing. I don’t usually leave reviews but feel the need to do maybe things could improve."The own dominos tomato base sauce" is basically none existent in all there pizzas, making the pizzas tasteless and dull. And i know it’s specifically shanklin dominos that do this because newport dominos has great base sauce. The base of the pizza is what makes pizza, pizza and dominos, dominos . Without it It’s just dough-cheese and toppings. The topping and cheese aren’t too bad, apart from the fact the topping look like they’re just thrown on there. Without the main ingredient (the base sauce) it’s just not the same. It also feels very thrown together and there’s not much love to it. That’s fair not much fast food places are. But you at-least expect it to be decent grub, especially for the price. I do still order here occasionally as it’s the closet to me and crave it sometimes but am unfortunately, mostly left disappointed.

Had a delivery from here today (saturday) & we had a meatior pizza, a garlic bread pizza & the sizzler and there was zero sauce on any of them & barely any toppings or cheese! So disappointed & we won’t be ordering from here again. Judging by the sheer lack of sauce (a minuscule droplet of any) it must come out of the staffs wages! Unless you like your pizza dry as a cuns nunt don’t bother ordering from here 😩
