Domino's Pizza in Isle of Wight

A very good Domino's restaurant with high quality foods. Unfortunately I would rate it a 4 and it could be a 5 if there was at least a table to sit at and eat.

Shanklin Dominos is so disappointing. I don’t usually leave reviews but feel the need to do maybe things could improve."The own dominos tomato base sauce" is basically none existent in all there pizzas, making the pizzas tasteless and dull. And i know it’s specifically shanklin dominos that do this because newport dominos has great base sauce. The base of the pizza is what makes pizza, pizza and dominos, dominos . Without it It’s just dough-cheese and toppings. The topping and cheese aren’t too bad, apart from the fact the topping look like they’re just thrown on there. Without the main ingredient (the base sauce) it’s just not the same. It also feels very thrown together and there’s not much love to it. That’s fair not much fast food places are. But you at-least expect it to be decent grub, especially for the price. I do still order here occasionally as it’s the closet to me and crave it sometimes but am unfortunately, mostly left disappointed.

Picked up a cold pizza from here only got to the accommodation within 10 minutes not happy at all

most places on Shanklin need you book for dinner so we were left with not much option than order from here and the food was not good at all Meat feast pizza had absolutely no visible cheese and was swimming in barbecue sauce , the chick-n-mix side was cold and the kickers were either over of uncooked as couldn't even bite through was rock solid .food was delivered promptly however slept nearly hungry that night such a waste of money and food.

Cracking pizza, which was fully loaded, no half measures here, and it was piping hot! The best Domino's I've ever had!

I use domino's alot in shanklin but mainly online and delivered, so I decided to walk in and collect ,never again I was ignored and then a lady who was obviously a regular got served straight away.shocking

Thank you to Gary and the team for once again going out of their way to fulfil such a huge order for a hungry group of School kids. Producing 45 garlic breads wedges and large pizzes is no ordinary affair and Piping hot. Thank you once again

Absolutely outstanding, truly a top quality bit of munch 2k calories 60g protein and a perfect blend of flavours, tomato to cheese ratio was bang on as per usual and toppings were more than plentiful. Overall if I had t describe my morning doms in just one word I’d say “Perfect” there is nothing I’d change about that pizza, high recommend if you looking for a cheap filling delicious breakfast/lunch/dinner/late night snack

The trays looks very rusty don't know if it is for all places. Taste wise just ok. We got a good offer. On road parking for 30 min free peak hours

Went to Domino's to get some Pizza's absolute carnage Outside, Domino Delivery vehicles are blocking the Road outside, had trouble driving along the Road to park and collect the Pizza's Pizza's were ok, buy location of this establishment is DANGEROUS due to vehicles parking outside blocking the Street to motorists. On the Island there seems to be NO LAW AND ORDER ON THE ROADS. Come on Domino's park sensibly like customers have to. I will not return to this establishment in the future unless walking to the shop.

Staff weren't particularly helpful when we entered the branch. Wouldn't accept cash for collection order, and no menus available to take away.

I rarely review somewhere 5 stars but dominos in shanklin specifically has NEVER been bad. It has continued to be my favourite place to eat on the Isle of wight for the past 2 years. The food is always consistent so you know exactly what you're getting and it does not disappoint. Friendly staff and a fast service makes it the perfect place to get you Friday night takeaway

Delivery took long,pizza was cold and was pricey

Poor service. Didn’t take cash. So took my business elsewhere. The pizza shop down the road accepts cash and delivered without any further hassle. AND 30% cheaper!! RESULT!

Didn't answer the phone, when i tried to order on their website, it said they wouldn't deliver to my address as i'm too far away. I'm 15 minutes down the road.

Well I've just ordered my first pizza from shanklin in around a year and open the box up and a big fat fly flew out of the box so I phone up Domino's in shanklin to tell them the situation because obviously I don't really want a pizza that flies sat on there for the last 20 plus minutes while it's been delivered to me. Their answer is there's no way a fly could possibly have got into the pizza box which we all know can happen and they won't even entertain giving us another pizza. So of course that pizza will be going in the dustbin because I don't want to eat that. I work in hospitality and there's no way I would allow a customer to have that situation without making it right. I own a business in hospitality. We have a five-star rating in hygiene and I'm fully aware what's right and what's wrong and I'm incredibly upset, The manager I spoke to would not accept any conversation of an effect. Apparently there is absolutely no way of fly. Could have landed on a pizza. I mean come on.

Popped in to order a medium Texas bbq pizza, was starving. Looked at deals and the £17 price has 50%off on a deal, they allways have so many. Great, time to order. Nope my cash is no good, they only take card. I ask if I can go back to hotel and order on phone with card, guy says sure. I phone and a girl answers, that will be £27. Not the £9 Iwas asked for at the shop. She said that's for delivery...lol...really £18 to deliver 900 yards. Place is a joke. I feel sorry for the owners that are losing money, now I understand the poor reviews.

Brilliant food. Super generous with the toppings, pizza slapped perfectly, no bubbles and a much better quality than the dominos back home ❤️💙

Somebody needs to teach them how to make a pizza 🍕 The toppings were hit and miss and very sparse 👎🏼

1) I don't understand why you can't order in the shop but you have to call 2) I don't understand why I have to pay by phone and give my card details and it is not possible to pay in the shop 3)how disgusting, I took a simple pizza with tomato and mozzarella and I threw it away the sauce was sour 100% bad

Like most of the reviews got my order wrong! Aksed for a ranch Bbq, pepperoni and meateor got the ranch Bbq and 2 x pepperoni! Good job we like pepperoni so wasn't too dissapointed but it's not hard is it to know the difference between the 3!!!!

Menu a little different from mainland

I had ordered on a Monday bank holiday, I have an autistic daughter who refuses to eat certain things. We had a pizza with personalisation which unfortunately didn’t come. We had called and after a good few attempts I got through. I understand mistakes are made and the lady on the phone was so polite! When the corrected order came I was so happy with the delivery staff! They were so polite and understanding! Although the Initial delivery was wrong I seriously am so grateful for the staff and especially the delivery drivers (a man and a woman)

Probably not the best dominos. We ordered in person - a wrap and a large pizza. The person who took the order accepted the order for wrap (even said would do customisations we asked for) and offered two medium pizzas as to take advantage of buy one get one free offer - we took on the offer. Later we were give one large pizza, one medium both with incorrect toppings. No wrap was given as the staff during order collection said they were not taking wrap orders.

Absolutely dreadful. Turned up with 2 out of 4 pizzas. Suggested reordering - when still hadn’t turned up 1 hour later rang to see where the food was and was told they were waiting until it quietened down! How disgusting. Absolutely awful service. Do not order from here!

Weekday service with a smile! The chap who delivered, what an A class chap!

The Pizza was excellent. For the second time part of the order was missing. First time dips last night large bottle of coke. There was no point saying anything as it's too late. Delivery very quick, food was hot.

We've been regulars here for just under a year having 3/4 pizzas a month. The service has usually been very good up until the end of last year and every time this year has 9/10 been a disaster. Food generally cold or lukewarm, things always missing off the order be it pizza bread/wedges/drink/or wrong toppings on the pizza. The delivery time seems to be getting longer each time we order too despite the fact we only Live under 5 mins from the store. The staff were very uninterested when we called to complain, after a long phone call I was reluctantly given a discount on my next order.

Pizza was alright. Took ages to get delivered and then they charged me for a drink, I deffo paid, showed up and the drink wasn't there. Delivery man said he'd come back with it and never came back. The cookies were good tho!

By far the worst Pizza I have ever had. It's was more like a shriveled biscuit then pizza. Service was actually very polite. The food though is appalling. Plus the handling/mauling in current circumstances is a great concern. AVOID unless you like wasting your money on dire food.

Great pizza with free parking right outside but rather disappointing I couldn't even order with the restaurant and had to do it all online (despite being in the shop). I then wasn't even allowed to wait for the order in the shop either, despite their covid screens up, the staff and me wearing masks and no one else being in there. Making young girl wait outside in the rain wasn't welcomed, especially when they didn't even signal to me when it was ready and left the order sitting on the side until the app notified me.

It's a tossup whether you get the correct order (it's happened a few times that we got incorrect toppings), have to wait over an hour for a pizza that was delivered 48 minutes after leaving the store (12 mins away), or just not receive your order at all (and wait 40 days for a refund, yes that happened too). And don't think about emailing dominos to report issues or complaints because they ignore you. The pizza, when you actually get it correctly, is tasty which is frustrating because it really is a crapshoot as to whether that will happen.

Dont bother ordering what you'd actually like, you won't get it, the staff and management are a joke.

I always but my gluten free pizza here with absolutely no ill effects as they are accredited by CoeliacUK. Service is quick and staff understand my coeliac need for gluten free. Occasionally I have it delivered which is always really prompt. Superb!

First time I have been to a Dominos for about 15 years. Wasn't expecting much from what locals have told me about this place. Mostly about how awful it is... I had their £4.99 lunchtime daily special (7" pizza, potato wedges and a drink). Ordered online to collect which I will say was extremely efficient and easy. The pizza I selected (meteor) was really tasty with a decent amount of topping and well cooked. The wedges on the other hand were extremely bland and without any seasoning at all and they didn't have the drink that I ordered in so had to get an alternative. So if you are getting this particular deal you might wanna have some sauce or condiments on hand to make the wedges have some kind of taste. You do get a lot of them though. But really for £5 I can't complain too much as the pizza is the selling point here and it didn't disappoint. Will definitely try them again.

Called to order a large takeaway order. Got as far as the first order which was chosen from their on-line menu. Abruptly told they did not do that pizza. When I asked them to hold on whilst I asked someone what they would like instead the ignorant female put the phone down.

Pizza was nice, but had to tell a member of staff to wash his hands after touching a dog.

Horrible service. Especially from the blonde guy in the red car. Very rude, arrogant, in-polite, moody and disrespectful using threatening language. Management should re-think their staff and sack people such as him.

So being dominos you expect a certain level of pizza an side's I have personally used this resruant a few times an repeatedly given them the question of doubt maybe it's new staff maybe there busy ..... But no each an every time there is either something wrong or its just not up to standard or something has been forgot . First time using them.they brought the wrong drink then said the pizza was sent back had kids waiting for over an hour .second time the pizza looked an tasted disgusting . Third and forth time drivers had no change .umm looking for tips this resturant has lost my custom an will not be used again

horrible service stood in there to get my pizza that was sitting on the side getting cold, 3 people refused to serve me till i spoke up didn't give me the garlic dips in the boxes, when i got home half the toppings were missing on one side and both was uncut very unevenly. the dough was tough chewy and sour it was disgusting the sauce was uneven and i think the dough was off still have a horrible taste in my mouth the next day. expensive pizzas that are not worth it

Order and payment was successful, until I received a phone call 30 minutes later saying they weren’t going to deliver due to a road closure (even though it would of taken a 5 minute detour if they attempted to deliver). 5 working days timeline for a refund, customer service rude and lazy. No confirmation email or reference for my order and quite frankly no attempt to resolve the situation by the staff. Ridiculous and criminal. I work at a very big establishment that’s crawling with holiday makers and I know that Dominos earn a good chunk of business through my efforts, just to get it thrown in my face. Classic case of grab the money and run. Awful.

Whilst on holiday from London for the week,we decided to try Dominos on Regent Street.Thank you firstly,for excellent customer service.As I was confused about the menu they kindly worked out the best deals for my family and they got it right!!.Defiantly worth a visit if in Shanklin.All cooked fresh in front of me and now having just finished our pizzas they were hot,overflowing with toppings and tasty,even the cookies were enjoyed by my daughter!!Thank you to the two men who served us.

Thought id give it a try, door locked people inside giving me a blank look. No sign on the door explaining why closed as it was 7pm so according to opening hours. They were making pizza just not collections ????? Went next door to chippy Chubbys absolutely lovely. Think il give Domino's a miss

Terrible Firstly, they don't have the base size so send tiny ones to make it up, so more crust then topping. Then, the tiny ones have the wrong topping (I ordered two different ones and got two the same) then the wedges were cold. And to cap it all they have invented the undercooked Mr floppy pizza with way too much sauce and barley any meat.. Won't bother with again. Save my money and buy from independent takeaway

Ordered the national promotional meal, ordered and paid online ..... Very slick. When it arrived it was the smaller size as they didn't have any boxes of bases (was told two different stories). So they sent smaller ones with tiny ones as an addition to make up for it. Pizza was cold when it arrived and floppy, undercooked. It was all base and crust with no topping. The wedges were also cold, stodgy and tasteless. The whole meal was a waste of money this is supposed to be pepperoni passion ..... Where is the pepperoni?

Wandered down the High Street not fancying much, nearly went in the chippy next door, but a last minute decision took us into Domino's. Ten minutes later we were walking out with garlic bread, a pepperoni and a meat pizza. They were still warm when we got them back to our holiday flat, not too oily, nice and crusty, not too stodgy, tasty toppings, munch, munch, munch, yum, yum, yum, Thank you Dominos.

I’ve given them 5 stars because they deserve it and more. I order my food and have it delivered to Sandown, the food is always hot and really tastes lovely. The guys that deliver are always polite and friendly. When I tried to order yesterday Saturday 6/10/18 it kept coming up that they were closed... Very sad to lose another good Take away..... I don’t understand all the other Negative comments... I hope they re open again soon. 🙁

Ordered in the shop which was very quiet, only one other person in there. Ordered the pizzas and they said 10-15 minutes even put it on on the display screen.30 minutes later still waiting, the board in there had said Order complete. Since then other people had ordered and come to collect their orders only for us all to be standing around waiting. There were plenty of staff there but just all seemed to be standing around. They kept saying about people had ordered online, although there was a shop full or irate customers, they didn't seem too bothered

Disgusting service cold food not worth the 1 hour wait! Won't return back to yummy tummy up the road for our family. Total waste !!!
