Tortilla Stratford in Newham

First time trying it and it felt like I was being rushed like crazy. I had like 5 seconds to decide what I want at each stage and I got immediately moved onto the next thing. I said no to cheese and they just added it in anyway. I didn’t want to say anything so I just moved on, literally felt a bit disappointed cause I’ve always wanted to try it out, making my own burrito etc, but ngl even the food was mid and I felt like throwing up cause idk the rice wasn’t good.

I want to slap people who gave 5 stars to their taco.

Excellent restaurant with very good service

The fact that you have increased your prices however have decreased the portion sizes is ridiculous. You have also half filled the tiny boxes which gives you even less then before. If we were to put the ingredients into a wrap it would have been half full. Very disappointing.

Poor service. Ordered from Uber eats and deliver never came and refund wasn’t given. Somebody made a mistake whether it was tortilla or the courier not happy with the service and still want a refund or compensation. Untrustworthy.

Go to Wahaca (around the corner) instead. The worst tacos I've ever had. All the wraps fell apart, they were stingy with the fillings, and didn't even suggest any options when I asked for black beans with the shredded pork - she simply said it doesn't come with black beans.

Food is good but it’s a bit stressful ordering at this location. They don’t ask basics like what sauce you want and move you down the line quickly. Today I asked if I can have half medium and half hot sauce and the lady said no you can only pick one. That doesn’t make sense because if I order to collect, I am able to pick both sauces??

Worst service ever. Ordered from uber eats and apart from the drinks being delivered not chilled, the packaging was terrible. All smashed, sauces and rice everywhere. 30 pounds to the bin. Overpacked in one weak paper bag broken with all the sauces and wet

Have to agree with the comment here about racist and rude service. I experienced this from the short Portuguese woman. She acts like she’s giving you free food. Your prices don’t reflect the service. Customer service isn’t a thing here.

The short RUDE woman working there needs to fix herself. Unruly type woman with aggressive street attitude behaviour. She discriminates against South Asian people. Never going here again. Need to humble yourself. No one wants to be served by you, it’s a shame we have to put up with your stinking attitude. Customer service is not a thing here. This ain’t no soup kitchen for the homeless. Fix up or go work elsewhere. If the management is reading this. Train your staff to have respect and talk politely. Foul mouth. Nonsense.

Nice place, looked clean and smells good

Manager was so rude. She was rude at me and my friend even though we had no issue with her for the whole time! She doesn’t know how to behave with customer. I tried to keep calm as much as possible even when she was rude at us infront of other customers. I was so shocked that I didn’t say anything at the beginning. When i was receiving my food, I told her that we are disappointed with her behaviour and then she was even behaving crazy! She was bragging that she worked for 8 years but I don’t think she deserve to be a manager for even 8hours.

Manager’s was so rude for no reason. She behaves like a mad dog. I tried to redeem coupon but she was angry for no reason from the beginning. I complained then she was a bit calm. All the staffs are the witnesses and also my friend and wife was there. I will never ever visit tortilla again for sure!

Do not order from this restaurant it is a massive scam!! I ordered a delivery and received the wrong order, was told by Uber to place it again so I did, now the second time and the driver was really really late so I called him, got in to an argument because he told me the reason he is late is because he’s picking up another order, and now has cancelled the whole order after waiting from 4 on for food!! The time is now 8pm

I went to your Stafford branch got horrible customer services worker, she was so aggressive, she was not listening and what what she is doing, I told her one dish is for my kid she put green chilles with understand nothing, even after mistake she did not apologies she through the food on bowl, all staff is witness

Nice and efficient staff, and very yummy vegan chilli and generous portions. The Tortilla chain is 'vegan friendly' certified which is aleays nice to knoe. Would recommend!

I recently visited your Westfield Stratford location with the intention of claiming my birthday reward, as I have been a loyal customer to Tortilla and was looking forward to enjoying a Birthday burrito on my special day. To my dismay, the experience was marred by an extremely rude employee, a girl with a ponytail and a bit of dye in her hair. When I attempted to claim my birthday reward and explained that I did not have my ID with me, she responded in an aggressive tone, saying, "Sounds like a YOU problem" out loud, in the presence of her colleague. This remark was not only disrespectful but also completely unprofessional. I want to emphasize that I have been a loyal customer to Tortilla and was genuinely excited about redeeming my birthday reward. However, the response I received from your employee not only ruined my birthday celebration but also tarnished my perception of the customer service at Tortilla. Furthermore, I would like to bring to your attention that my voucher had expired due to the 30-second window I had to activate it. Despite explaining this situation, the employee's dismissive attitude and rude remark only added to the overall unpleasantness of the encounter. In light of this incident, I kindly request the following: Compensation for the inconvenience, disappointment, and the overall negative impact on my birthday celebration. An investigation into the conduct of the employee in question, with appropriate disciplinary action taken if deemed necessary. A review of the customer service training and protocols for your staff to prevent similar incidents in the future. I believe that addressing this matter promptly is crucial to maintaining the reputation of Tortilla and ensuring that other customers do not experience the same level of disrespect and rudeness. First time ordering this on the go meal option. Advertises a combo before you get in line which is only available after 5pm. For lunch, took the tres tacos without the side and then proceeded to see every other add on was an extra £1-£2. Finally when given, no napkin and the soft shell falls apart immediately. Couldn't even differentiate between pork and beef. Fast enough to make my imminent train but not tasty enough to return to anytime soon

A group of very frustrated people working here. Every time I visit this store they piss me off by their pathetic attitude. Many times I have been here however never been served in a welcoming manner DISGRACEFUL store. They portion it badly large bowl is smaller than medium!

This place is an absolute disgrace. I've been there a number of times during my lunch break, and the staff are disgusting and rude. I have never had such bad customer service from any of the food places in the food court in Stratford westfield as I go there every lunch break. Their large and medium portion size is exactly the same so don't bother buying a large if you are a women especially! Myself and my male colleagues have realised they give more filling in a burrito to a man than they do to a woman. My male colleagues were shocked when they realised the staff was doing that. I have also realised the canary wharf tortilla restaurant is exactly the same! They don't give enough chicken and fill it up with rice and vegetables! Not worth paying more then £10 for only rice and vegetables! @tortilla do better and give better customer service and stop robbing people! A disgrace!

There was a sharp item in a mouthful of food I had, my sister also had the same. It looked like a little bone. We often feed our baby newphew tortilla but we won’t anymore as it’s a choking hazard.

Online says they’re open till 9/9:30 but when I go there at 8:30 they tell me it’s closed then as I’m ordering on the website in front of them they switched it off and told me only Deliveroo

It’s pretty noisy at Stratford Westfield so was hard to hear the staff serving. They were patient enough to repeat the information so I appreciated this. I’m also glad I can finally eat the chicken there as it’s halal.

If this is a franchise this branch needs monitoring because of the rude, incompetent staff. Absolute horrible attitude when serving really baffling how employed in hospitality. Staff are aggressive and miserable unable to distinguish portions and orders. Need training in basic communication and etiquette as well as serving lessons. Would give zero if I could

Both time I’ve gone there I’ve had bad experiences.The white lady in the counter was very unprofessional and rude.she just gave me a food with a tray without asking if I wanted take away or if I wanted to dine in.she also was very mean when I asked her about student discount.There was some other guy who had shouted at me at the counter for asking to scan the tortilla points.

Had chicken tacos here, and they were just OK. Wasn't happy about having to pay extra for avocado, though. Their tacos are very messy to eat, yet no cutlery is provided, which is a shame.

I think Tortilla is by far the best of the Mexican chains. The food is top notch.

Great food and value for money if you looking for a quick snack or mean that's relatively healthy! The team is very helpful and guides you through the process with no problem at all would definitely recommend if you in Westfield shopping centre to pop in and see for yourself

Today was my 2nd time to tortilla westfield and it was great! Food can be improved a bit, but service was absolutely amazing from start to end! Last time i was served someone else’s food by the lady on the POS system. But this time the guy on POS made sure of what we were having and also offered us all the extras.

Ordered burrito, paid extra for beef - fair enough, the guy serving did mention this. Got to the sauces, was asked by the girl if I wanted spicy chillie sauce, literally a little drizzle, was not informed it was an extra £2! Just for a drizzle of sauce. Madness. Paid 15£ for a very bland burrito. What a disappointment. Definitely not cooked by Mexican people

The ladies preparing were present and but the gentleman behind the register not do much. He seemed only aware of 1 of the multiple beers available and I had to give directions so that he can find the one I was looking for. That all being said, the food reminds me of Qdoba and tasted nice.

I was able to try the vegan chilli or also tempeh. It had the vegan mayo chipotle option too. Nice flavours but given that is usually very wet, you end up with a leaky burrito. Overall good food but customer service can improve

Grabbed a large burrito with multiple fillings including, chicken, rice, black beans, sour cream, guac and more. For a large burrito, didn’t seem like a ‘large’ one. However, it is filled up well by the staff and wrapped up neatly. I did ask a staff member to cut the burrito in half and I was requested to do it myself - charming! Taking a bite into the burrito, you can immediately taste the rice, chicken and beans. The rice tastef fine although the chicken didn’t seem to have any distinctive taste - a clear lack of flavour. Similar story with the beans and the remaining ingredients. It was warm and cooked and the wrap used was fine. Overall, this is probably a place just for a quick bite on-the-go and wouldn’t really recommend if you want a really enjoyable meal.

Tortilla restaurants and food and front line staff are great and have no equal in the whole of the uk (Bar Buritto is very good but not in the same league as Tortilla). The two stars is down to the dodgy people who send out email surveys that say win a months supply and in small print say that means four free burritos. It stretches incredulity to breaking point to think anyone would ever imagine 4 burritos to be a months supply (ask any random person to guess how much a months supply of any food item is and I doubt anyone would say 4!!!). I’d be more than happy to be offered a chance to win 4 burritos but the unnecessary and petty lying to pretend it’s a months worth indicates a company happy to massage facts when there are no stakes (it’s just a survey request after all) so I can only image how big a grain of salt is needed for anything else they say.

I’ve been going here for years, unfortunately the quality has seemed to drop quite a lot. My last two experiences were a visit in store and the food tasted old. I have then ordered off of Deliveroo from this branch and my bowl was missing a lot of items. Wouldn’t recommend.

You guys have to teach the staff how to properly wrap a burrito. I’m a frequent customer and they NEVER close the ends of the burrito. They fold the tortilla over in the middle, and instead of folding the ends, they just stuff the tin foil into the ends. When you open the foil to eat it, the burrito’s ends are completely open and it leaks everywhere. It’s the only burrito place in London that does this. The staff are friendly and efficient but the wrapping skills are nonexistent.

It's a decent burrito, but falls way short of visiting a Taqueria in SF and getting a burrito. Often a little too heavy on the rice and light on the meat. The assembly line isn't seamless and food is too often left sitting open on the top, waiting for the next operative, and slowly going cold. And none of them know how to wrap a burrito properly, spreading the fillings before wrapping. So you end up with a burrito that falls apart, with sour cream and salsa all at one end and the meat and rice at the other. Flavour-wise, pretty good. For a burrito in the UK, it's one of the better places to go.

Staff are miserable. Usually if you ask for a little more hot sauce, they’re fine. Instead here, everything is an extra charge. Staff don’t even say thank you or even try to smile at you. Miserable staff, tiny servings. Makes you feel like a liability for even ordering. Why work here if you’re gunna look like you hate everyone who dares order
