Tortilla in Portsmouth

Food was great, delivery was bang on when it was estimated, delivery driver was polite, very pleased with Order.

i ordered at 1 o’clock and it didn’t arrive till 3 o’clock, i ordered a bowl and was given a burrito, i usually enjoy the food i order but i was very disappointed with my order today

Quesadillas and tacos were nice, fresh ingredients, warm and tasty. Burritos were however cold, uneven meat distribution, no cheese at all in one despite choosing and paying extra for one of the dairy options and aren't toasted so fall apart. I think you're pretty well set if you're after anything but burritos. Ingredients are nice but the only ingredients that seem to be heated are the meats so otherwise you'll end up with cold food. No bathrooms in the restaurant either, with very little seating, but tables were clean, service pretty fast, app was horrible to use though...

For my first time at tortilla the service was amazing, I was served and helped by Carl, Fee and Shannon and they were all very friendly and helpful. They helped me learn all the items and were very fast with preparing my food. The food was great and you get so much for the money. Will definitely be going back again

We were three international students waiting in line, and the staff served people behind us first without even asking if it was okay. We felt completely ignored. When we brought this up with the manager, their response was dismissive, saying, ‘It wasn’t me, so what can I do?’ This lack of accountability and respect was very disappointing.

Service is amazing. Carl was great! I have never been to Tortilla before but he was great and walked me through the process with a smile on his face

Anas was quick and efficient in making our food which was good! Food left a little to be desired - was offered 20% off to do a review.

First time at Tortilla yesterday with my son, despite seeing it around. Was served by Anas who explained all my options to me so clearly and even showed me the loyalty app for when I come back next! Great help and wonderful place:)

4 Stars due to the price-point being quite high. Had a burrito bowl with chicken and salad and sauce. It was very good and I will definitely return but it will not be a place I visit often due to the prices. You can't see much meat in the photo as it is buried under the salad and veg but it is there and it is good. Ordered it extra hot and the heat was decent! I wish we had more cuisines like this available in the UK. Friendly staff too. Overall good place. (Edit: Returned to this place recently and ordered a Burrito. Must say, was not as good as I was expecting. A little bland to be honest. Especially the rice. I will not be returning. Shame really as this is the sort of cuisine that I think more people should look towards. So much potential but not quite good enough unfortunately).

One whole meal was missing, drink was missing, no phone number available to phone to complain. £20 for one meal and a drink to not arrive.

Absolutely the slowest service ever. Four employees moving at a snail's pace, making it painful to wait. The food is mediocre at best—definitely wouldn't recommend this place.

Great for Vegetarians! First time in Tortilla, the staff were super friendly and explained how it all worked. I had a burrito bowl, was impressed how many options I could pick from and it was really delicious too! Would definitely recommend going here if you’re in Gunwharf, and didn’t want a sit deal meal but wanted something a little bit more substantial. There was also a bit of the queue when I was there and Uber eats collections but you didn’t feel rushed while choosing. Will definitely be going back to try more of the menu!

Amazing experience today at Tortilla, Morgan prepared me a brilliant burrito and was very helpful and kind. Would definitely recommend, great experience overall and best burrito in the area.

Not applicable for dine in. Got a delivery from these guys 3 times. I kept ordering through these guys because no one makes burritos like they do. 1st two times were really good. Food came in quite hot and was overall a very nice experience. However, this third time really let me down. The burrito was stone cold (and I’m used to cold things with no complaints), and tasted of bean juice. I don’t know if this is a one off thing or if they’ve got a new team, but if it continues I won’t be ordering from here again.

Always great service in here! Carl served me today and was amazing, super smiley and chatty. Never had anything bad from here and I’m in a lot!

I'm normally a big fan of Tortilla, Brighton, Bournemouth, ect. So came to try the one at Gunwharf Quay, staff friendly and everything but the food was full of flies around and 1 of them was already dead in the meat.

First time order for me n my daughter . Thoroughly enjoyed it . Would recommend.

Morgan and Char are such a credit to this place, made a quick fast food experience memorable with friendly service that will definitely have me coming back when I want a quick, tasty bite

Had a delightful time at Tortilla Gunwharf Quays. Adwaith took great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. The nachos were crispy and cheesy. Highly recommend this place for a fun meal.

Not very tasty. The employees make pricing mistakes and laugh out loud large in the background. It is not pleasant to sit here. There are many much better places.

Food over priced and portions are tiny for the amount paid. Staff were not overly helpful and somewhat agitated as I couldn't hear too well over the music from the speaker just above the counter. Not happy with this service so I will avoid it in the future.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the chicken burrito I ordered from your restaurant 22/07/2024. The burrito I received was of very poor taste and quality, and the service provided by your staff was far from satisfactory. The chicken in the burrito was dry and lacked flavor, and the other ingredients were not fresh. The rap was filled with the rice and beans. Not much of the salsa and Swiss for taste. So dry!

Perfect place for lunch when the sun is out, good seating area outside. Food was served fast and was fresh. I had Fee as my server, she was lovely and quick I don't know how she managed to fit and wrap everything that was in my burrito, I was very impressed. She described what everything was and how it tasted which was very helpful as a new customer. The inner decor was stylish and the candles were a nice touch, there wasn't much room for seating inside but it makes for it in the amount outside, also had a great atmosphere

First off the lady and man that was in today very nice people I asked for my pepper fresh so they chopped me up a fresh pepper, (i’m probably the only person that’s ever asked that :)). The food is absolutely delicious. We went for a large burrito and large burrito bowl, oh my God, so filling couldn’t eat it all, had to take the rest home with me. Very happy and first time to try here at Gunwharf Quays.

Stingy portions served by a small man with red hair who used his gloved hand to scrape out soggy scraps of lettuce for our meal rather than fetching a fresh batch and using tongs. Mean portions, dried out meat and rice. Overpriced. Would not recommend.

I could not believe I stepped into a Tortilla restaurant.... certainly didn't feel like it! The slowest service I have ever received. It was shocking, staff were moving in slow motion.

Forget my second bag of tortilla chips but tasty burrito bowls as always

Sick of paying too much for gross food with small portions. Rice is horrible, literally smelt and tasted like plane food. People that are leaving good reviews don't know what good Mexican tastes like. The vegan meat had a horrible texture and taste. Don't spend your pounds here.

Very disappointed. I've tried other branches and had a really good experience for a quick, casual restaurant. Made the mistake of going in here an hour before closing and once I'd started building my burrito slowly realised there was barely any food left. Wasn't warned or offered anything to compensate, just had to take whatever was left. The server asked the manager if they had any lettuce left and he just said "no". Like they don't have a single lettuce they can slice up? I work in a restaurant and would be very embarrassed to serve a customer with 70% of offerings empty on display and refusing to top them up. It would never happen. Thankfully I came away with some bottles of El Yucateco hot sauces I've been meaning to try so at least something of value was gained. Please work on being consistent and providing a worthwhile offering until you close and not just for the lunch rush. I've given 3 stars for the benefit of the doubt, it was really a 2 star effort today.

Order wasn’t right at all. We had a call from the restaurant saying there was no pork so would it be alright to sub for chicken which was fine. But, no lettuce, sour cream or salsa on the bowl. The sweetcorn salsa was in the burrito that didn’t have any of the bits I ordered in it. They did send some tortilla chips with the order that we hadn’t ordered which was nice but still the order wasn’t correct

Sadly, not impressive. Its like any usual Tortilla ambience wise, and decently seating space outside. We had gone in for a family dinner, sadly the food was quite disappointing. Nominal prices though.

Great food, and helped to make the right selection from among the many options by the friendly staff. The dine in area is very small, and on a cold day you could only have a cold drink, but these were only tiny niggles and not a major factor when the food was so good!

Very rude and arrogant staff, forgot my bag on the table, when i came back to get it, a girl was cleaning the table and in such rude tone she said disgusting. Very very disappointed by her behaviour. Never coming again because of her behaviour.

All ingredients were delicious apart from the rice today. I had coriander rice the majority of the grains are very hard. I had Coriander rice. I hope the company can sort this out in the future and keep maintaining every aspect of the ingredients because everything else were delicious. There was no good service today the staff looked very happy. Still ate all the food because I spent £9 and did not want to waste my money. Visit time 15:20 Fri 22/12/23

Well the portion sizes were ridiculous and grossly over priced, we won’t be going back x3 tiny tacos and I mean tiny they were a joke literally child sized and a cheese nachos was just that a carton of nachos and little dressing and 1 can of coke £16.95. Shocked!! In this day and age not good enough, now wonder there tucked up in the corner of Gunwharf Quays complex who are hoping nobody finds the place, just we wish we hadn’t …avoid, avoid ..avoid!

First time at Tortilla (Gunwharf) and it was fantastic. Staff very helpful advising on food options and food tasted great. Had nachos, burrito , fundido (amazing) and the corn ribs (tasted fresh, sweet and succulent). Defo going back 🌽😋

Some good and some bad things. Cons 1) quesadillas cannot be ordered until 2pm. This makes zero sense especially as they warm the tacos on a press which are also used to make quesadillas? 2) far too many optional extras which you then have to pay for. Cheese sauce, Beef filling, chorizo etc. 3) card only payment 4) very small seating area - bad tables which wobble 5) no toilet 6) very limited veggie protein options, in fact only one which looked awful. Pros 1) decent food 2) fresh ingredients 3) locality scheme - although no app and confusing. Tortilla need to raise their game and do better. Could be great, but needs a lot of work.

Very little seating and on a windy wet day I'd have preferred to eat in. Staff couldn't have been more friendly, especially the shift manager who served me but annoyingly I couldn't get my usual order as the Peppers and onions had run out and would have taken another 15 mins (I had waited 15 mins to be served) and also asked for Chorizo but was told again this was being prepared and would be a wait. Unfortunate as this is one of my favourite "fast food" places but probably won't visit this branch again

Great place for burritos, made to order and customisable. They have a veggie meat alternative which is a bonus. Bit pricey for fast food but definitely worth it.
