"Absolutely fantastic experience at Toro’s! I visited with our family of 5 and was blown away by the quality and flavour of our meals. The chicken steak was tender & juicy, even the Filet Mignon and lamb steak was cooked to perfection. The portion size was generous, food was steaming hot and the presentation was impressive. The real highlight of our meal was the nachos, which were crispy, flavourful, and addictive. Over the years, they have added to the menu and also revamped their restaurant which looks great. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming and family-friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and would highly recommend Toro’s to anyone looking for delicious food and great service. Can't wait to come back!"

I visited a couple of weeks ago. The food was excellent, and I have no complaints in that regard. However, I did experience two key issues that affected my overall impression. Firstly, the restaurant only accepts cash payments. Although I was eventually allowed to pay via bank transfer, it was only because my friend was unable to locate a working cash machine. This lack of payment flexibility is inconvenient and could easily be resolved by accepting card payments. Secondly—and more importantly—a waiter accidentally dropped food on me while trying to serve the table next to mine. What stood out was that he appeared more concerned about the fact that he had dropped the food than about how I was doing. He didn’t even ask if I was okay. I had to clean the food off my jacket myself and continued eating. When it was time to pay, I brought up the incident with a staff member. Initially, he offered me a £1 discount, which I found quite insulting given what had happened. It felt like the situation wasn’t being taken seriously at all. After I explained that the incident had been witnessed by the table next to me, the staff member changed his tone. He asked how much of a discount I wanted, stating, “I will take it off the staff member’s wages.” I found this response deeply inappropriate. I told him that no staff member should be penalised for an accident like this—rather, the responsibility lies with the business as a whole. I suggested that a more appropriate response would be to offer a proper discount or make the meal complimentary. The discussion continued, with the staff member repeatedly stating things like, “We don’t train our staff to drop food,” as if that somehow resolved the issue. I found myself having to explain my concerns multiple times, going around in circles. Eventually, because he was unable to determine which staff member had dropped the food—he even asked me what the person looked like—he settled on giving us an £11 discount. By that point, I just wanted to leave. Due to the way the situation was handled, I won’t be returning.

Probably the best Toros franchise in the UK. From service to food, everything was spot on. Don’t expect this level from other locations—I made that mistake by trying the Nottingham branch. Big difference. This one actually gets it right.

Came to toro’s earlier today with my family during rush hour 8/9, and the waitress Madiha had hosted us and was amazing! Went toros after a long time the portion size was a joke. Gave me basically half empty snizzler which I find cheeky for the price you’re paying. I asked the guy who served our food that he’s giving me Half an empty sizzlers he told me he would call someone to a sort it out he ignored me. See attached bed image below it’s a joke. Won’t be coming again!

Stopped coming here years ago due to the service, but honestly some things don't change. The manager is a joke, as for the chef who cooks the steak, look like he chews the meat and spits it back on the plate. I refused my food and said take it away, I said ill still pay for it and the manager is telling me ill pack it up for you and you can take it away as a takeaway. Lose the attitude, cheap food, cheap staff. Learn some customer service skills, there's a way to speak to people and this really isn't it. Your charging for food and service atleast ensure it looks appealing. Manager definitely needs some training. Could have just taken it away to avoid the situation but he thinks screaming made him more of a man. Men like this are pathetic. I paid and left the untouched food there! Have it on me!

Only 4 stars due to lack of disabled toilets but luckily the takeaway next door has one. As for the food they have never let us down. The steaks are really good and fall apart in your mouth with little chewing. Although they need better options when you can select free sides with your steak.

It’s not a steakhouse. If you accept that, the food can be a bit more palatable. The meat is cut in thin flat pieces so not what you’d expect from a steak, or from the steak pictures on the wall. Sauces and sides served in plastic cups. No real difference between the premium and non premium steak. Coleslaw was tasteless. Overall food was average for the price. Mojito was bland and a mixer of ready made drinks rather than anything original. Lose an extra star for being expensive.

Cannot recommend Toros enough. Food is always quality, atmosphere is really good too. The service today was amazing, really no complaints. Please pass on my thanks to Madiha (the lady who was the waitress at the back of the restaurant). She came over to us quickly and took our order, the food arrived swiftly as always. Rude staff no smile on face. burnt chips. asked for specific seat they refused to make us sit down there ignored additional request.to add something on order because he had to delete and don't want to do that because it was very long Job. then i asked to lower down the volume as we was sitting right down under the speakers. can't even listen to my children what they are saying. when my child went to reception a girl literally come down to fight that this is not Music and we Like it i said whatever it is could you please lower down the volume. she Refused too lower it down. Really dissapointed, especially being ramadhan. I called in to book a table for the family which included me, wife, and kids for iftari time. I was told that we cannot allow kids on the booking because adults are prioritised for this time. This gave the impression that parents with kids are not welcome to open their fast because they have kids and that takes away from adult. Sounded more like the fact kids don't eat as much, so less money made over having adults seated. I am extremely disspointed, terrible service, and very unethical. I cannot believe you would reject a booking because we have kids that need to be with us, this is shocking, I hope you read this review and others notice to see how unfair you have been. I used to visit fairly regularly, but this has disheartened me!

Very non sense staff they don’t know how to talk with the customers Our recent visit to a restaurant with the family was a frustrating experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were left waiting for a table despite having made a reservation, and the staff seemed disorganized and uninterested in helping. Once seated, it took an unusually long time for our server to take our order, and when the food finally arrived, several dishes were cold and poorly prepared. The portions were smaller than expected, and some of the items were incorrect. Throughout the meal, the noise level was overwhelming, making it difficult to enjoy a conversation. To top it off, the staff was unresponsive when we raised our concerns, leaving us feeling ignored and disappointed. It was not the pleasant family outing we had hoped for, and we won’t be returning.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience. My family and I visited for dinner, only to discover that they only accept cash payments, which was not mentioned anywhere in their advertisements or on their website. I attempted to pay with a card, as we don’t typically carry large amounts of cash, but the staff was incredibly rude and dismissive when I explained the situation. Instead of offering any understanding or solutions, they became hostile and aggressively insisted I pay with cash. When I politely tried to discuss the inconvenience, they raised their voices and were extremely disrespectful, making us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Their behavior was completely unprofessional, and I was shocked by how they treated my family and me over a simple payment issue. This kind of poor customer service is unacceptable. I will never return, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this place. There are plenty of restaurants out there that respect their customers and have modern payment options.

So I think standards are just very low for halal steak places which is unfortunate, not sure why this place is popular and has such large queues, the food is awful. Firstly the steak, there is a lack of understanding or care of how well done the steak is and I’ve seen this in other reviews too. If you ask for medium rare you will get rare and it’ll be inconsistent across the cut. The steaks are wet and lack any sear. The chips, are soggy because they’ve just been drowned in sauce and the “piri” just tastes like a load of ketchup was dumped on top. Definitely just from a frozen bag, same with the vegetables. No tap water and the water you pay for are small sized bottles. The food is not cheap for the quality you are getting compared to going to any real steakhouse and cash only which in 2025 just doesn’t make any sense. You’ll have your “sizzler” plates served and sitting there for minutes before having a bunch of cutlery just dumped on the table. Again if this was non halal and anywhere else it wouldn’t be open.

I enjoyed my toro's special which included a sirloin steak although I would say it tasted a slightly too peppery, it was juicy and cooked well. Strawberry mojito was perfect; sweet and refreshing. A bit annoying that they don't accept card. But overall great and fast service. I want to thank zeenat (I’m not sure if that’s correct 🥲) who helped me at the till.

This place is horrendously awful. I first went here a few years back. Place was packed. Service staff weren't very good. Sat us down and ignored us for ages. Served other customers they seated after us. The food wasn't good. Really bad chewy horrible steak. The veg was quite cold. Clearly hadn't been defrosted properly. The chips were poor. I went to this place again recently as I've regularly seen it packed. I thought it's been a few years so maybe it was a one off and I should give them a second chance. Absolute chaos in the restaurant. Staff running around all over the place. No real manners or focus on speaking to customers with any due care or attention. Again speaking to each other talking nonsense having a laugh and joke whilst we were mid sentence trying to make an order. Then the food came out. The steak was really bad. Really chewy. Tried to soldier through each bite but eventually had to spit it out. Was awful. Chips were really bad. I can't think of a place with worse food. I won't ever be going here again.

I've been here 3 times overall and I can honestly say, it's unfortunately one of the worst places to eat if you care about a good quality steak. The final time, We went as a group of 6, and the food came out at random times, My steak was both undercooked and burnt in different areas. We sat near the windows, which were wet with steam, so any time you leaned back you get wet. The restaurant seating plan is to pack as many people in as possible and it's loud and crowded. I personally will never come here again, nothing against the wait staff who were lovely, but the food took way to long to come out, the steak was really disappointing and the rice and pasta were really disappointing.

How can a business of this size take cash only?! When questioned this they said they don’t have a card machine as it’s too expensive! Absolutely ridiculous. Toros special steak was decent, had it with peri chips and pasta. Meat was too thin. Quarter chicken was burnt and the rice was stale Brownie sizzler just smelt and tasted burnt. Virgin mojito was tasteless. Also check your receipt before paying, the brownie sizzler was advertised at 7.95 but tried to charge me 10 for it. When questioned they did sort this out.

Our first visit to this place. We were greeted at the door and taken to the table straight away. The food was served very quickly after placing the order. The waitress was helpful in deciding the menu choices. The food was very nice, especially the Toro's special steak and rib- eye steak. We won’t recommend the lamb steak as it was very chewy and difficult to cut. We did not like the way they served the steak, in a deep pan laid on the top of the chips. We would have preferred it on a flat plate and sides on the side rather than mixed with the steak. Overall, we enjoyed our visit here and the food.

Wow how dissapointed was I was told no card machine to get cash only ! I wonder why thats is ? The waitress that took our order got it wrong so when the food came out it was wrong. When I highlighted that this was the wrong steak and was under cooked when asked for well done the waiter stated that we had made the wrong orders our self. Very rude staff and very tight portions well over rated will not be going their again. Can not deffo reccomend this place Torros.

Food inedible! Arrived 15mins later than quoted (90mins after ordering!) Burger arrived with no bacon which I paid extra for and had sauce which I specifically asked for none. Tacos soggy and cold. Terrible attitude and customer service..refused refund... avoid this place!!!

The chef told me....They bought Spring rolls and Fish cake from Tesco frozen and cooked for customer ( it's only £1 per pack) . If the food wrap very tidy you must sure it's bought from cheap shop.

Really nice staff, food fine and good value. (Hot drinks machines can be temperamental, maybe could do with replacing?).
