Only large people go here I could never

I have never been to fat burgers before and was quite excited to try this place as I like many others enjoy a good burger. I went with friends for a birthday meal and the service off the bat was quite sub par, the waitress couldn’t look more disinterested if she tried, she told us to sit anywhere and just shoved some menus in our hands despite menus already being provided on the tables but no matter. The biggest issue with service was trying to get the waitress’s attention for our order, it wasn’t busy in the slightest so I couldn’t quite grasp what the issue was. We all ordered our food and she read it back to us, after approximately 20 or so minutes she began to deliver our food but despite reading our orders back to us she brought the wrong order for two of my friends which then caused a delay for them of about another 15 minutes or so. She also managed to bring 2 Corona beers instead of the Peroni that were ordered which personally isn’t an issue but they’re very different beers. Now onto the more important part, the food! I ordered a “Caveman burger” as a meal with “Atomic fries” and a side of “Mac n’ cheese triangles”. The burger was nice and juicy with a 8oz beef patty topped with chilli con carne, nachos, cheese, mayonnaise, burger sauce and salad. I’d say it was decent size considering the toppings, it was very soft and melt in your mouth which is exactly what I was hoping for and expecting, though I did have trouble keeping it together. The only really criticism I can give this burger is that the chilli con carne could have had a bit more kick in terms of spice but overall it was a wonderful burger and I would recommend it to those that love a bit of Mexican kick. The fries tasted quite fresh, with just the right amount of crunch on the outside and a wonderful fluffy texture inside, this allowed the seasoning of chilli and what I believe to be fine ground black pepper to sit perfectly on the fries and not just fall off or get soaked in, compared to the chilli con carne in the burger these fries packed much more punch in terms of spice which combined very nicely with the burger. As I was rather hungry I also opted to have a side dish of “Mac n’ cheese triangles” (x5 pieces) and personally this was the right choice for myself, they were breaded and deep fried which gave them a satisfying crunch which led to the creamy cheese inside. These seemed to be clearly frozen run of the mill Iceland mac n’ cheese bites but I didn’t mind as they were cooked well and complimented my burger. Overall it was a decent experience but it could have been better if the service was kicked up a notch. My bill came to around £20.79 with drink which isn’t crazy and I didn’t leave hungry so that’s always a bonus!

We ordered their hero burger and the supreme chicken burger. They were okay nothing special. I went in with very low expectations but it surprised me. It is very similar to a burger that you would get in a pub. Although we ordered and paid extra for their burgers on pretzel bun they gave us the normal buns.

Amazing restaurant! Very good value for money. The food was very delicious, we had the Hero Burger and it was the amazing! Special shoutout to Bianca who gave us the best customer service! Will definitely come again!

Restaurant NOT Fully Halal. Advertised as Halal and when I asked staff, they said everything is halal. There is bacon on the menu- I assumed it was Turkey bacon as I don't eat pork. I asked to double check and it took 2 staff members to clarify that it is pork bacon. If I hadn't asked for a 2nd time I wouldn't have known. I have no problem is some restaurants only stocking a limited halal menu, but the lack of transparency and honesty is truly disgusting. The fact the servers themself didn't know what they stocked, was not reassuring. The foods was below average, nothing special, messy and a bit meh Restaurant that has just tried to cut costs everywhere. Shame because it looked like it had potential but so disappointing.

Great to see meet up with colleagues that I worked with after 7 years! Great catch up and food and ambience.

The boneless fries had a bone in it and the manager said that she didn't know so it wasn't her fault, and I had to have a whole 10 minute convo with her to convince her to take the plate off the bill. Madness - do not recommend, the management now is a joke, it was better years ago, these guys just don't know what they're doing

Went here on the 20th december 2023 for lunch. Xmas market didn't have cheese dogs and the mrs wanted a cheese fix, so we saw this venue and gave it a try. I had a cheeseburger and fries and the mrs had loaded fries with sf chicken with an amazing cheese sauce on top. Burger was top notch, gourmet style. Service was good, wait wasn't long, staff were very polite, venue was very clean. Main thing - the prices here are well on point..... I doubt theres a better priced sit in venue for that level of food in a 50 mile radius, which is a nice thing being as everywhere to eat nowadays is basically double pre-covid prices. Would 100% recommend to anyone. Brilliant eatery and we will 100% go again when we next visit brum! 5 stars easy

Had an amazing day , food was delicious staff were excellent . No waiting time the waitress Melinda and chef Alex went above and beyond and made our experience brilliant . I would recommend this place for anyone to go to. Thank you for a very enjoyable day .

Really nice watching the chef cook yr food fresh. It's good value for money and the burgers are huge. I have to add that the toilets are the cleanest I've seen in Birmingham.😊😊👍

We are very disappointed food was very cold wasn't fresh and beef was hard and old meat service was pathetic table was shaking all the time we asked to fix it but couldn't help Because of that drink fall onto my mother and even no body help us very poor. I want my money back 😩

So where to begin. Upon a recent visit we were quite disappointed. Service was very slow and had to stare down waitress to get any service. My drink order was messed up, as was my girlfriends food order. Furthermore, the food really wasn’t great. Tasted like frozen food that I could’ve made at home for quarter of the price. Chips were frozen oven chips and the burger really wasn’t anything special. Could go to any local Bossman shop and get a better level of service and food quality for half the price. Wouldn’t be coming back soon. :(

Service was a little slow but it didn't seem like the kitchen was very well staffed, something tells me they don't get a whole lot of custom since it was an hour wait for every other restaurant in the area and we were seated immediately here. The place itself looked clean enough just a little tired if anything, like all the effort was placed into making it look good from the outside. I ordered the supreme, which was a crispy chicken burger with a hash brown and mayo, with gunpowder fries. My partner had the caveman which was a beef burger with chilli con carne, and habenero cheese bites. The burgers were lovely, my chicken was crispy and juicy, I would say cooked to perfection - hash brown was a little well done but no real complaints. The Caveman had hardly any chilli on the burger but where you could find some it was delicious. The fries were some of the best I've had in a very long time and the seasoning on top was beautiful. What was disappointing however was the chilli cheese bites, which were balls of deep fried cottage cheese, not what you expect when you order such a dish, we ate one between us and couldn't stomach any more. In conclusion, if you're in a pinch and you want something simple and affordable then Fat Burger will do you fine, don't expect anything amazing, you get what you pay for, and I'd probably steer clear of the cheese bites.

Appalling service, the food was awful and dry. The chicken wings were disappointing and had the smallest drizzle of sauce and still had chicken hair on it which is not what you expect from a place like this.

I loved their burger and milkshake.

Service was appalling, server sat us down and took our order but never came to check up on us once we received our food. Sat for an extra 20/30 minutes after eating food waiting for the server to complete payment but never came — we had to go to them which was confusing as we were sat down? Just stick to one layout. Be mindful the place was QUIET, there wasn't that many people in the venue (less than <10) The hot wings were small, dry and and a complete waste of money and my friend never ate them. When this was mentioned to the server, she became abrupt saying "the wings aren't dry, it's the sauce" even though we tried the other set and they were slightly better. She kept interrupting our friend when they were being polite raising their disappointment and server said to the chef it "wasn't their fault" If we were checked up on a few minutes after we received the food, this issue would've been raised. We were considering going again to try the chicken burgers but after the service we received — never again.

From outside view Restaurant looks small .But inside you see there is enough room to sit and to hide. Early evening it is not over crowded . So you can sit alone and listen to background music and enjoy your dinner .

The service was relatively fast, the vibe is quite nice and the burger is good value for money.

Personally I felt as thought there was something missing from the burgers- the vibe was amazing and the service was pretty fast as well.

First time dining in, but I’ve had their burgers before. Ngl I expected the burgers to be much warmer considering they were just freshly made, but regardless they were good. The highlight of my meal was the spicy chicken loaded fries, tbh I think they were the best part! The habanero cheese balls were okay but nothing special. A nice selection of packets of sauces are available at every table and they seem more higher end than average - so that was nice. The biggest plus I can deffo give is that for city centre birmingham is was very affordable! (On top of being above average in taste)

I can’t believe how bad this place was. The burgers were really terrible low quality. We had to wait over 30 minutes before some took our order. Don’t waste your money. I’d recommend Fat Hippo which is round the corner from this place.

It was really nice place with good fresh cooking food and very clean restaurant inside. Also there are very good service.

Not the best of places to eat. I chose to have a steak and chips. The steak was cooked to my liking but if I hadn't ordered chips, a steak is all I'd have had... No salad, no tomatoes, nothing, just a steak. The portion of chips was a bit on the small side too. I also had a chocolate freakshake which was definitely extremely messy. Most of it was nice, but the chocolate brownie was too stodgy and hard to eat. It's a shame they only offer the freakshake in a chocolate flavour. Strawberry or banana would have been nice. Service at Fat Burgers was OK, but nothing special. I had to ask the waitress for a spoon to be able to eat the freakshake and a steak knife should have been offered for my main course. A fair few people came through the door, but there was no one to great them, so after waiting a while, they left. I don't blame them and would have done the same, if it had happened to me. Not a very busy place and atmosphere is seriously lacking. I'm not in the habit of leaving bad feedback, but sadly I can't offer anything better for this place and it's not a place I'd come back to or recommend to friends and family.

The quality of the burger was less than that of a cheap forzen one from Tesco. The chips were cold and not tasty. For the price of the meal, I would expect better quality. The sofa was dirty.

Amazing food and service experience. We enjoyed our food which was delicious and the customer service went above and beyond. The food is very qualitative and the local very clean and spotless. We sure recommend this restaurant and we ll come back for sure.

This place was lovely. The staff were so accommodating and did all they could to help my friend and I. I had my 6month old twins with me and they were so brilliant. Food was really really nice too.

Honestly, don’t waste your money I can’t believe we were served flavourless food literally. Not worth the price , couldn’t even finish my food we were better off going to nandos!

Food was really tasty and staff were very friendly. We got a “supreme” burger which was excellent and some loaded fries. 10/10 Unfortunately when we were there it seemed there was only 1 chef and 2 servers for the whole restaurant on a Saturday night which made the staff extremely stressed out, poor guys were literally having to run around to do everything. Could definitely do with better scheduling from management.

Popped in here for a quick Business Lunch, Fantastic food and Service. I would recommend, didn't break the bank either.

Shocking service, went up to order food as been sat for a while, then told to sit down they will take our order. 15 minutes wait to get 3 cokes and 2 fruit shoots. Bare in mind this place only had what 4 or 5 tables in the restaurant. Food came out, burnt burger, childs meal missing which then took another 10 minutes to come out. And side orders missing. Absolutely no apology from the staff member 'Tanny' as someone who works in a restaurant, the first thing I'd do is apologise and offer something complimentary. Food was average which I'd expect. But the service is shocking.

The food was good, not as good as honest burger but better than fast food. The service was a little weird. There are no pictures on the menus. We had a french guy that obviously didn't fully get what we were saying. He had also never tried the food so couldn't tell us the difference between the different types of heat. Coke with no ice came with ice. We picked sides with our meal and sides came as extras on top of our meal. We ate it anyway. We were hungry. The atmosphere just felt off in there. Shame really. I have always wanted a fat burger singer i heard it in an ice cube track a long long time ago.

I have visited Fat Burgers Birmingham with my family .we had had such a lovely time. The food is so tasty, and their burgers so huge. Recommend to all burgers lovers to try this place!

Auf der Suche nach leckeren Burgern sind wir in der Nähe der Innenstadt, nah zum Bahnhof auf das Fat Burgers getroffen. Die Burger sind wirklich lecker - die Atomic Fries der Hammer. Preislich absolut ok - wir haben für einen Burger + Fries + Cider um die 15£ bezahlt. Da kann man nicht meckern. Gerne wieder, sollte es sich ergeben.

The food taste nice although The chicken, was so dry nor bitting or cutting made any better. Stuff not very welcoming, not directing customers to the designated table, we been told to choose ourselves. Customers service needs more training on how to deal with customers and smile more, very confusing and confused and rude staff.

Chef was about the only one that knew what he was doing the food was decent, the staff were appalling felt like I was inconveniencing them with being there. Definitely wouldn't bother unless you like to made to feel uncomfortable. Shame because the burgers were good

We were going to a show at the townhall and wanted to have our dinner before. We were surprised to find out that almost every restaurant was full and had queues. As a last resort we tried Fat Burgers and pleasantly surprised. Not only we were seated right away, but also the food was very good. I think the name of the restaurant is not helping them as they offer more than burgers with table service. The chef worked hard to get everyone's orders. The only issue was they didn't seem to expect that many people and the service was slower than they could have managed.

Good food at a reasonable price.

Great atmosphere. I was there to get a meal and kill some time. Too much carbs in this meal. This was a DIY burger, I should of stuck to the menu burgers. Other than that, I would go back.

Surprisingly enough, this was the only empty restaurant around on Saturday evening. There was one other customer when we arrived but decided to try it. There isn't much I can say that's positive about our experience. There was an awful smell in the restaurant that may have been the drains. The service was bad, no welcome or pleasant interaction. At one point a member of staff completely ignored us when we asked for the bill! The food was greasy and overcooked with the lowest quality beef used in the burgers. We left most of the food uneaten and didn't hang around for dessert. Don't waste your money. Go elsewhere.

The meal was brilliant in all aspects apart from the average parts which was most of it. The average parts were actually brilliant.

I loved the freshly made crispy chicken fillet burger ! The brioche bun was soft and the fillet was so crispy. The burger was not at all dry. We also had the veggie burger and wrapped up dinner for 12.50 pounds ! :)

The holy cow burger was delicious!

A shame Such a good location and good food but the service is so non-existent that I could have walked out with no-one noticing due to the staff being engaged on their mobile phones. Plus they didn't have enough materials to make a basic vanilla milkshake. Please go to Five Guys or Burger King instead.

Myself and family were visiting the Christmas Markets and needed a place to eat without booking! We had been turned down in other places due to a large party number (5 adults and 2 children) At Fat Burger there was no problem we were seated straight away. The choice on the menu was amazing. Great food, huge portion sizes! And thoroughly enjoyed by all! The service was exceptional and felt welcome straight away. 10/10 I would recommend. And I strongly intend to visit again next time I am in Birmingham!

I've been here a few times now.

Went for meal ordered the the food and said no garnish has allergies on my wife’s food came with it all over sent it back and the chef said just pick it off said couldn’t due to wife’s allergies . Why waiting for the replacement we observed the chef with no hair net on or beard snood on coughing in to his hand and wiping his nose with his hand and then handing the food without washing his hands can honestly say won’t be going in to here ever again The lack of food hygiene is out of this world

We got seated pretty quickly even at the height of the world cup. The food was excellent and the staff were polite and helpful 👍

Generous portions with great service. Definitely good value for money! 3 portions of chicken wings, not enough sauce tho, but they were superb. The chicken loaded fries were the star of the menu for us, however the buffalo wrap was equally good too! We did regret that we ordered the gunpowder chips as they were not as good as it sounds and a-little soft . Overall great place to eat so do give it a go as it’s cheaper than the German Market!

The quality of the meat the burger is made from just didn't taste good. It was cooked leaving a little pink in the middle which I wouldn't mind if the quality was good but because the mince tasted subpar and like oven cooked I didn't appreciate that it wasn't fully cooked through. It didn't have a grill taste at all and gave me supermarket oven flavour, despite looking handmade. I had two bites and couldn't stomach it, luckily they took the cost of my burger off the bill for me. I definitely won't be returningwhat happened to Byron burger!

So I have sat in many times and the food has always been great, so one day I decided to order for takeout, requested to remove extras, them being the lettuce, onion, burger relish and cheese, I ordered it this way because I prefer a plain burger but most importantly I am Lactose Intolerant. I arrived at the establishment a few minutes after it was "ready" but was told 5 minutes, I can understand that but then I waited 20 minutes for the full order, had to rush back to work because I was on break. When I got back to work I was missing a portion of chips I'd ordered and the burger was made with all the extras, just wasn't really impressed after waiting all that time and couldn't even eat it.

I had the "Caveman", as part of a meal deal by which I saved 90 pence. No expectations, because unknown burger joints can be a let down. (I just wanted a quick lunch before catching a train, and the place wasn't busy.) But, to my surprise, the Caveman was delicious and filling. The 8oz burger was definitely fat--a huge patty, made of good-quality, tasty beef. Surrounded by cheese, chilli con carne, a big slice of tomato, lettuce, and "special burger sauce", which I'd asked them to go light with. All inside a lovely, fresh-baked brioche bun. I added fries and an espresso coffee. £13.80 altogether. What a feast! I like to eat a burger by hand. The Caveman could be held one-handed, if not easily eaten that way. But held two handed, it lasted till the end, the lower bun just getting over the line. Juice did drip out, which I let fall onto the bowl of fries. But it wasn't a sloppy burger (no cutlery required). Bonus point right there. Only bad thing was the non-stop noise of a machine in the kitchen, which roared like a blast furnace and resounded round the whole restaurant. But I'll be back!

Quite a nice place in which ya mates can all gather and order 50 wings and leave you at the table alone. Banging food though honestly. Great whacking recommend on this one.

Went there for a friend’s birthday party. Staff was patient with the wait as well as excellent service throughout. At the end we had a surprise by them as they offered us free drinks at the end. It was an amazing experience and a well celebrated birthday party. Would definitely come again with a group of friends as service, food and overall experience was wonderful!

Food and staff are amazing!! Especially chicken wings are very good. Must try in Birmingham.
