The food was nice! Piping hot and tasty. A little put off as they do not offer tap water on request, given that we we're paying costumers and just wanted water for the little ones a little tap water would not have hurt. Hopefully they can look in to this in the future.

Food was good. Service was quick. Wait times slightly long but worth it. Not the restaurants fault but parking is a nightmare :/ So glad they now do BACS transfer too if people have forgotten to bring cash!

Outstanding place to eat in Leicester

I've been to Toros a few times. The food is nice. Customer service varies each time I go. If you like steak, then I recommend this restaurant.

The best - absolutely love visiting Toros. Must be said the staff are wonderful in particular Zeina who is attentive and goes above and beyond.

Cash only? Really? And no water?

Came here for brunch with the family and we absolutely loved it. The food was great and the staff were absolutely brilliant with the kids. I would recommend to all. Brunch is currently 10am to 3pm at weekends only as I understand.

So let’s be clear, the Lamb Chops are dynamite. Supremely done and 5 stars for those alone. Where it falls down is that the service is a little hit n miss. Perhaps if they assigned the staff some tables, it may. Improve. What irks me most though, is the tax / vat dodging - we only take cash or bank transfer - and you ONLY find out when it comes to paying. It was the same on our last visit earlier in the year…there’s simply no excuse for it. So a 4 star overall

Food quality is starting to decline compared to Toros steakhouse Luton - the service although fast was missing complementary touches i.e no after dinner mints

Average food, atmosphere is just loud music, it's usually pretty busy. Service average, the worst is no card payments accepted as and when they like in 2024. This isn't made very clear before ordering either - in my group we were able to make a bank transfer but it's just terribly inconvenient to the point I wouldn't return again.

Food is always pretty decent and enjoyable but the music omg. They need to turn it down, its always way too loud. I felt like i was at a club not a restaurant. Its ridiculous having to yell across the table whilst youre trying to enjoy your food.

The food was nice enough, I asked for medium rare and got well done, but I wasn't really concerned by that. What I didn't like was the fact that I ordered a "brownie explosion" and was then served a dry chocolate cake with ice cream on top served on a hot iron plate. The cake was burnt at the bottom. I told the servers that it's not a brownie, it's a cake and that it's burnt at the bottom. Their reply was, "That's how our brownie comes and it's burnt because it's served on a hot plate." I didn't want to cause a scene, so I didn't argue and I didn't eat it, we took a few bites, but still paid £10. I'm not coming again.

Our go-to place for steak! Toro’s special is the one. The peri chips are delicious. The food is always consistent and never disappoints. Love the music. Only down-point is that parking is always difficult but that’s just Leicester and they should allow card payments.

I really enjoy the steaks here and order the toro special every time. The service is decent and the pasta on the side is my absolute favourite! The only downsides are that that there is no free tap water. The payments are all cash and the music can be a bit too loud.

If you want a proper steakhouse then probably not the place to go. Beef cuts were quite sub standard, barely any sear and internal temps were way off. Service was really good so 5* for the waiting staff. Atmosphere just felt dull and cramped.

We went toro’s for double date with my friend. It was amazing experience. Food was served quickly and it was sizzling hot. Food portions were huge size. We ordered shrimps which were amazing. Everyone of us ordered different steaks and all steaks were unbeatable. Prices are also very good. Recommended!

Been coming here since they were called Yokos. Food has always been great! The special steak has never disappointed. Good portion sizes too. At times it's a little cramped in the restaurant and sometimes you have to wait to be seated but it's worth the wait IMO. Rating would be higher if they would take card. I mean, c'mon, it's 2024.

Ordered for delivery and the steak was pink which I’ve attached pictures of. I specifically asked for medium. Not rare or medium rare. This is the second time they have done this.

Absolutely abysmal, went by the google and online timings that it’s open til midnight, but we arrived just before 10pm and were turned away saying they were closed. Who closes this early on a weekend night?!

In all honesty the food was not the best the only reason I gave 4 stars is because of the customer service I received from a waiter named Hatim it was exceptional. He has a very bright future ahead of him if he keeps the right attitude.

A total let down. Not worth the hype at all. Heard a lot about it but it seems all the praises is history because the present was an absolute misery. Had the toros special with pasta. While the meat was cooked well, the pasta was too tomato-ey. The Mrs ordered chicken fillet on peri peri fries. The fillet came on a bed of tomato sauce drenched fries. Nothing peri about it. Oh..the mayonnaise mix on dynamite prawns were too much. Dynamite is NOT the same as tangy. When time to pay at the counter and the concerns were raised "sorry" was the response. Definitely not going back there again. The place seems to thrive on the fact that it was one of the most sought after Halal steakhouse. But honestly, I need to add "once upon a time, it probably was good" but not anymore. Minimum wage has been raised, so many they ought to step up their standard of service together with the food.

Food was really nice and the staff were really friendly however it was big inconvenience being told that they don’t take card at the end of the meal rather than at the beginning. Prepare to withdraw some money or do a bank transfer

Came today with my 8 year old - we agreed to take the worst table in the corner by the toilet so I could get my son fed and not wait for a table. No one came to take my order after 25 minutes. Told the manager on site who said "we have new staff" and a very unapologetic "sorry about that"- so we left and won't bother to return.

Quality food as always. Never feel hungry after toros. I ordered the rump steak and it was well seasoned and cooked right. The sides of pasta and rice were very nice and not too overpowering. The gravy sauce complimented the steak very nicely and was a good thickness. With good portion sizes. The staff are exceptional and extremely pleasant. Shout out to Zainah who was very friendly and took time at our table to ensure our order was correct and that we were well informed of the menu. She gave a comprehensive description of each of the options we queried and was very polite. We are very thankful of her service. Warm and hearty food. Very nice

Immature and unprofessional staff. Literal children. Laughing, giggling and flirting with one another and not doing their jobs. Waited an hour for a table, but they decided to sit at said table and play about. Laughing at customers, and openly taunting and criticising them. Refused to change cutlery and napkins that other customers children had put in their mouths, dropped, and handled. Zayna and Junaid especially extremely unprofessional. This review is from March. Amazing service from Zainah at Torros this Tuesday, the restaurant takes pre-orders in Ramadhan and shuts earlier than normal but we were lucky to be seated and served thanks to Zainah who knew we would have preferred to sit in and eat. Hatim was also very courteous, helpful and polite. Both of them were absolutely lovely. And I'm very happy I got to heave my chicken wings they're so delicious!

Average food, no bookings taken only walk in which is not ideal when there are queues for tables and no lobby area to wait. Similar food available elsewhere with better service, atmosphere and facilities.

They have kids working here. They laugh at customers. Workers sit at the table whilst customers are lined up. Junaid and Zaynah have ridiculous customer service skills, they need re training and an attitude check.

Today I went to this restaurant with my friends for dinner first I ask water to drink he said no water food no taste meat just boil an not baked . Very expensive no card payment

The food was really good! We ordered steaks and some appetisers and they were delicious! However, they only take cash payments which wasn’t fun! It’s a very small space and was quite busy, We felt cold because people kept on coming in and out.

Had me waiting half an hour before they took my order. I also told them specifically no gherkins in my burger and it came with gherkins. I was fuming and had to wait extra long when I was starving!!!

Hello, In my opinion, Toros is a highly overrated place. The expectation I had before going there wasn't met. The food portion is really good but there is no taste at all. We ordered so much but couldn't finish the food and tbh we were so disappointed😔 The price is fair and not overly exaggerated. People who don't consume spices could maybe like the food.The atmosphere and waiters are warm and welcoming but place is a bit tight. And lastly, the explosive prawns were very nice. Thank you so much.

I’ve been coming to this place for a long time . Unfortunately the was very disappointed with the food . I asked for a medium rare steak . I had to send it back it was replaced. It did not come back as a medium rare the second time . I did eat the food as I hate to see food go in the bin . The food was substandard. It’s unfortunate I will not be going back seems like the place has gone downhill. So sad as at one point the food was amazing.

I love the food staff are lovely. The only thing that's lets the place down is that the music it's too loud not appropriate for families coming in esp modest religious types.

They didnt have the premium sirloin in stock, even though they had just opened. The steak came severely undercooked, had to be sent back and even then it still came back under. The veggies werent fresh, tasted as if they were cooked from frozen, mushy and tasted stale. The place was freezing cold, staff were inattentive, didnt even ask how the food was, or realise how freezing cold the restaurant was. They lacked knowledge on the cuts of meat. The toilets were dirty and filthy. Seriously disappointed at the level of quality at this Toros branch. Would avoid at all costs.

Great place to eat, always has been. The Torro's special is a winner every time. I added the chicken fajita wrap which was tasty and plenty of chicken for the 2 wraps. Service is good, always busy so a nice atmosphere, highly recommended.

Really horrible food and awful customer service. Place doesn’t take card only cash and this isn’t due to a fault they never take card judging by the reviews (hello tax evasion!). Ordered the veggie option of halloumi burger. It was missing the red peppers and hummus inside and the halloumi was not cooked at all. Just raw halloumi in a bun with dollops and dollops of chilli sauce. No prices on kids menu, probably making it up as they go along. Only one toilet in the whole place which is not accessible at all. Staff didn’t come over once to check how the food was. And the drinks bottles were filthy as soon as they were delivered to the table. Place doesn’t serve any alcohol either.

Had a gourmet burger for £15 with fries they brought us a soya/beef frozen patties wich is in my opinion unacceptable in a restaurant of this range and at this price as well. Also had piece of beef wich was nice but not very well cooked as mentioned but very disappointed with mixed frozen vegetables with no taste plenty of water. I’ve spoken with the manager and mentioned that is not acceptable to pay £15 for a burger and I have a frozen soya pattie.

Toros !!!!!! What a place I love this place, been here after a long time and completely satisfied Talking about ambience is very attractive and spacious, moderate lights & very clean & hygienic. Very friendly staff, suggestive, perfect smile & very attentive. The food was delicious and good quantity I ordered ceasar salad loved it, kids meal was of ample quantity, steak and chicken fillet both well cooked. I found this place much better than several steak houses in the area. Pricing is very reasonable, to have awesome food like this and at these prices is a win-win situation. My recommendation to visit it and be their regular customer.

Service was really good, burgers were nice, chops were excellent as well as the chips, jalepeno poppers and chicken wings. Rump unfortunately was not a big thumbs up bit too much grizzle.

Been going here for years and the standards have just kept dropping. On this visit I ordered a fillet mignon which costs around £30. There were 7 of us and mines came last I ordered the steak medium and it initially came out well done. I asked the staff to rectify it and it took 15 mins for it to come back out and when it did it was rare. I then asked the manager rafik to check it , which he refused to do and sent the staff back over . The third time half the steak was medium and the other half well done. When I went to complain after the meal the manager laughed it off and said he would knock £3 off my bill. He then went on to tell his staff to deny me entry next time and say the restaurant is full. Absolutely shocking , I won’t be visiting again. Rude and undeserving. Really disappointed seeing as this used to be a restaurant I liked, but they’ve been getting it wrong the last few times I visited and the manager has been so rude.

So rude the owner was not helpful when we approached him as we had not been seated for a while as we had a pregnant lady with us. They obviously are not bothered about customer service. This Toros branch had fallen off years before I had returned recently last week. Service when i last went a few years ago went from good to just extremely poor & over the years previously i used to call this place my first choice. My last visit last week proved to show me nothing has been done to imorove. Waited 30 minutes to even be asked for any drinks at all. Then a further 15 minutes for the drinks to arrive… our starters came much sooner than the drinks, all being normal cold drinks but one being a mojito. Food was good & so were the sauces, however trying to get any staff attention was… abysmal. Coming to the end of our meals I could see my younger brother hasnt touched much of his burger, i asked if he liked it which he did but said there was a weird after taste. I checked it as he is only young might just be something in his head. I check the burger & look at the turkey backon/rasher i see it looks quite yellow/smoked… not to worry i’ll try it out, after 2 or 3 bites i felt sick & had to spit it out because i genuinely couldnt have it due to how bad it was. I went to one of the staff that passed by & said this does not taste right one bit. She takes it back to the kitchen… which looks to be all she did as we didnt hear anything back, nor did anyone apologise, offer to remove it or make a new one, not a single thing. Again I went in saying I am not going to be surprised if this trip will just be a let down & sadly this incident just shows poor the standards are here. Again not coming back at all to the leciester branch, the north london branch is very good & so is the birmingham branch etc. but definitely after coming back to this leciester branch it’s re affirmed again, that this branch has completely fallen off. If this incident never happened & with slightly better service i wouldve at least given it more thought to come visit, but i guess i’ve learnt my lesson. Even after all these years… dont waste your money & go to other places in leciester there are tons of them! & i also forgot to mention, HOW IS IT 2023 & this place doesnt take card? I think that summarises it all pretty well. Absolute joke of a restaurant, whats sad is that it used to be decent.

We are regulars, this time we noticed smaller sizzler portions which is disappointing. The steak is never cooked as requested. Asked for well done and it had bits of raw pink. The toilet is unpleasant and dirty. Food standard definitely not as good.

The usual "Card machine is broken" so it was cash only. After reading other reviews it seems that the card machine has been "broken" for nearly a year. If you only want cash then just put a sign on the window saying "Cash Only" so diner don't have to have to go and get cash after ordering and getting their drinks etc.

Very bad experience on the toros not good at all

I recently dined at Toros Steakhouse in Leicester and had a delightful experience. The Sirloin steak I ordered was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. The Surf 'n' Turf option, combining the steak with grilled prawns, was a delicious surf and turf combination. The side of creamy mashed potatoes was a great complement to the meal. The grilled prawns were succulent and added a lovely seafood twist to the meal. However, I must mention that the steak felt slightly smaller in size than expected. It would be fantastic if Toros Steakhouse considered adding a discount for Bluelight cardholders to make dining here even more accessible. Additionally, a reduction in drink prices would enhance the overall value of the dining experience. Despite these minor points, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Toros Steakhouse and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality steakhouse in Leicester.

coming from someone who knows the kitchen at toros all i have to say is yuck. go round the back and you’ll see what the garden is like and you’ll get a good idea. the standards for this place drop everytime i visit it’s not like how it used to be a few years ago. there trying too hard and rafeek is just arrogant and abrupt. he puts me off going there with his fake self.

Been there many times and foods been great but this time the standard had really dropped. We ordered pulled beef burger and smokey burger. Pulled beef was just a beef burger patty mashed up in bbq sauce and smokey burger seemed like it was a frozen patty. Steaks however were decent. For atmosphere, the music was very loud. Couldn't even hear the person next to me. Hopefully it gets better next time.

Nice atmosphere, nice food, good service , nice portions filled me up. Just shy of getting full marks can't put my finger on it but a nice place overall.

Don’t accept card payment the first time I have been to a place that’s asked me to pay with a bank transfer and leave my personal details. The staff need training. The food is not all that for the price

Been going here for a number of years now and travel 40 miles just to visit. Unfortunately it has massively gone down hill! Prices have gone up, but sadly the quality of food and service has down. Food is served Luke warm and much smaller portions. I would have like to say it was a one off but it’s been several occasions now. Will not bother visiting anymore.

Regardless of any season, the quality of food taste is consistently good but though it’s compared to price of any food items the quantity is quite less, only a recommendation.

Don't get me wrong this place the food is 2nd to none always enjoy toros in leicester only reason I'm giving 4 star is due to the fact their prices are alot higher than other toros but besides that it's delicious.

I've been many times before, but since the refurbishment, a lot has changed. Where i was seating was very uncomfortable, low, and just felt like the tables were very far apart. Portion sizes are gone small, but prices have increased. I would suggest doing one or the other. Ordered a pull beef burger, wasn't great at all. More like a keema burger, bun had a stale texture to it. Toilets floor was really wet, you going into a nice looking restaurant, how about making an effort to keep the Toilets clean?

Nice food and experience. Got the Toros special which was nice. I was hoping there would be more steak though. Nice food, prices are decent. One of my friends payed basically £3 for a 330ml sprite?? In my opinion it shouldn't be that much. Will come again but hope the portion sizes improve

First time at Toros and it was good, in regards to the service, the service was friendly but I do feel there is room for improvements. Regardless of that the food was absolutely smacking! We started with their mix up of starters and of course for mains went for the porterhouse and I must say it certainly does not dissapoint. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection with a blaze of flavours in every bite. Its definitely a place I can see myself returning to again sometime and a place I recommend going to if your after a good steak. It is worth noting that they only take cash payments and of course are halal.

Food was good, but their choice of music needs to be reviewed, playing hip hop and RnB containing swearing is not what I expected when eating out with my young children in a family freindly restaurant. I won't be going back again.
