delicious food. however the portion is small for two people. a little bit smaller than I expected. the app ordering experience is quite poor since there are no photos with caption. quite difficult to visualize what is being serviced. the staff is quite friendly. Will give another try next time.

I just found out that the boss of Duoduo Noodles has changed! The chef has also changed. The current boss was a chef for many years. No wonder I said it has become more delicious. Originally, I thought that the spicy hot pot could be made at home by myself, and it was not difficult. But you must say, it is indeed better than what I made at home😋! What was more surprising was that the potatoes in the spicy hot pot were fried, and they were really soft and sticky when coated with the soup. There are also fried tofu and vermicelli! The ingredients that really absorb the soup are comfortable. There were not many people at 5:30, and the store was cleaned very cleanly. The tea served was Longjing + chrysanthemum tea. It was sweet and I thought sugar was added. When I asked, it turned out that there was no sugar, and it was just the sweetness stimulated by the tea.

This food was delicious. Very friendly staff.

The portion is large and delicious. There is nothing wrong with the spicy hot pot except that the lotus root is cut too quickly and is a bit too big. There is also a lot of rice and you will feel full. The boss has a very good attitude and the restroom is very hygienic.

I give one * because of service is bad. They sell foods but no toothpicks lol

I went here with my friend and we ordered the ramen spicy garlic hot pot. Unfortunately this dish was wayyyyy too spicy. And I like my spice however it was just too overpowering and I couldn’t enjoy the meal. I tried to ask for some sauce that I could use to make it a bit nicer and I was told they only have chilli sauce. (Not quite what I wanted). I do believe the food would be lovely but being vegetarian I couldn’t eat any noodles that were served with broth as it was a chicken broth and there were no other vegetarian options. My friend is also convinced this gave him food poisoning the day after.

Took the kids very different eating arrangement but a good experience for them.

I give one star because of the exploitative owner. The food is good!! The service is even better!! The waiters are so nice and friendly and very attentive. We would love to show our gratitude for their amazing service with some service charge. However, they don’t get the service charge !! What! I was so surprised. Service charge is taken by the owner who is not there serving us! Why do they should get the service charge ! Give the service charge to your employees who actually care for and serve your customers to keep your business open! Pure exploitative, greedy and unjust behaviour from the owner. It’s sickening. Next time if you would like to show your appreciation towards the servers, give cash!

food was pretty good! i got the chicken with ginger, similar to hainanese chicken rice and the ginger was super flavourful. but ratio of chicken to rice was a bit off, would have liked more chicken. the braised beef noodle was quite bland, but we loved the black pepper beef rice. have realised that the must get here is the 麻辣香锅 or large sharing pots instead of the ala carte items! very worth the money when shared with friends and very flavourful

In fact I wamt to give the rating of food as 0. I went with my friend on 14th Sep. I myself love spicy very much and my friend can't eat so spicy. Still we ordered spicy chicken hot pot with the most spicy one(麻辣雞煲大辣)。When ordering, the staf said it is very spicy. I insisted. Then very very very disappointed. Even my friend commented as not spicy. To me the spicy degree is 0. I complained and they added more spicy sauce. Still no help only nore salty. The room is hot but after finished, not feeling any hot and I don't need to order cold drink. Very bad experience. Won't go again. To me, if it claimed very spicy but no spicy at all, I'll black list it. Waste my time and waste my money. Nothing worthwhile for me to visit again.

Disappointed and highly NOT recommended. The noodles are not cooked well and served in a blockage in the soap. One of us even found a small DANGER piece of iron wire in the noodles soap 😱.

I regularly go to this restaurant. But some People might think it is a bit expensive for the foods I always eat! But overall it is good. You can get as much rice as you want once you order it.

We came on a weekday evening. The service was fine, although they don't bring out plates, so had to share the dumplings and use a napkin as a plate which wasn't ideal. Plus one of the dumplings were ripped. Other food was nice and good serving size. I had the spicy pork soup but wasn't particularly spicy. They dont have condiments on the table so couldnt adjust the spiciness. Beef looked nice that my partner had. Overall was nice but I didn't love it hence the 4 stars.

First of all, let’s talk about whether the face is elastic or not like a patch. Every dish at Tong Mianqu is of the same size as the rice. The eight of us called each other 🍝Braised beef noodles. The soup is so fragrant. It is based on roasted beef juice, and beef brisket is used. 🍝The spicy and sour beef noodles, the sourness is so delicious, of course it is BB and caters to the British taste, but it is not bad for those who like spicy food, please add more spiciness. 🍝Spicy and sour beans and minced meat noodles. It’s also sour and spicy, and it’s delicious and appetizing. 🍝Fat sausage noodles. This one is really a surprise! His intestines are really fat🤣It’s too big and the portion is huge. Tongmiqu is cooked by itself, so the soup base has the flavor of the sausage itself. 🍝Braised beef rice. The portion of white rice is normal but not too small, and the braised beef with sauce is delicious. Beef brisket 🍝I don’t remember what lo mein was. I don't remember trying it but they said the juice was delicious. Although the food is served at a snail's pace (it was 1:00 pm on a Sunday when we went, so the wait was not very busy) I don't know how to order the noodles one by one. But I'm used to living in the UK, so I don't have any problems waiting. The food is good, so I don't have any complaints. There wasn't anyone Asian around, but they were all very polite, and they didn't expect to cook some delicious food. So there is a surprise here! Better than the ones in the center of Bristol, there are many mainlanders on the floor and in the kitchen who don’t know how to cook noodles... In addition, I saw a few dishes called grilled fish food, which seemed to be delicious, so I will try them next time 😍

They dish out pretty standard beef noodles and mala dishes! Worth the try :)

Spicy pork and aubergine without any spice (or any other flavour), tofu and vegetable stir fry without any vegetables, chicken and jellyfish without any jellyfish and pork dumplings where the tastiest bit was the dipping sauce. A pretty bland experience all round. 😞

Restaurant unfortunately can't distinguish between vegan and vegetarian. Wouldn't recommend it to vegans or people who are lactose intolerant.

Good place . We always eats mao cai here once a week but my suggestion is sometimes the dish is not really hot some meatballs are still cold inside. So suggest to cool longer for mao cai

The worst Chinese food I've had in 23 years, really bad. The noodles were all rotten at the touch and the taste could not win. Very poor experience, but great service.

Although the foods are good, the taste is not consistent. Cannot get the signature sense and reason of being here . I mean, if you pop back in several times and order the same menu, you will not get the same taste. Last but not least, one dish (eg; Mao Cai) with ideally six basic contents will NOT be enough for 3 persons anymore, though it used to be. Maybe the Cost of Living Expense issue. It is even totally understandable. Please, please, be mindful and consistent with the qualities of taste.

yummy meal enjoyed by everyone, the noodles arrived a good five minutes after our mains which wasn’t ideal when we’d hoped to eat them together but the taste of the tofu (even when slightly cold) made up for the wait! veggie options are limited but portion sizes were great

Their food is good. They have spicy options also. Service is good too. Staff is supportive. But if you need to have more plats or cutlery they are reluctant to provide it.

Had a great time having dinner here. Food came piping hot and tasted hotter. Would definitely be back here again. One point to not is that they were severely understaffed. Hope that it improves on my next visit.

Place looks decent. The interior is i teresti g. Combines wood and neon lights in a nice combination. The clientell was about 20 - 25ish and mostly of Asian origin. Food looked deliceous although I had none. I entered the restaurant and was immediately seated which was good. Although I didn't fealt being understood. I asked for a menue to flip through twice. No reaction fromthe waiter. Menue is "online" where you scan a QR code (love it), although the place didn't made it easy to connect to Wi-Fi to be able to use the menue. I't an interesting place, but I fealt like part of the crowd where no attention was given. Solid 3/5⭐

Toro used to be my favourite place to visit with friends pre-covid, for about 6 years. It looked like it shut down for good during the pandemic and someone else has bought the place, moved it next door, and took everything of quality off the menu and out of the fridges. It was never cheap but at least it was authentic. Now it is overpriced and makes ZaZa Bazaar look authentic. I would suggest you avoid going.

We have visited several times in the past year and the slow cooked lamb soup noodle is always unavailable. This is very frustrating as this is the main reason we visited the place. There are other dishes on the website which have been crossed out so I don’t understand why the lamb soup noodle can’t be crossed out so people know it’s not available when they order. Also another frustrating thing is that they don’t offer refund so I can’t get money back for the dish that’s not available and have to replace with another dish. What a terrible system! We ordered beef soup noodle and this is not slow cooked so the soup just tastes soy sauce. We visited at lunch time during the week. We ordered two soup noodles for the kids which are the quickest to cook comparing to other dishes we ordered. Yet they were the last to come and when I chased, it was clear to me that they have forgotten the orders. It’s stressful to keep the kids entertained after half an hour waiting with hunger and boredom. The quality of food here used to be good but it’s disappointing for our visits in the past year.

Awesome food, pretty bad service. We weren't told that there wasn't any chicken available in the kitchen until we ordered three times, wasting more than half an hour between ordering and the waiter coming back to say they didn't have it either. Pretty rude dude too, made us feel like we were bothering him by being there.

A member of staff here was threatening and harassed me. They were pretty frightening, and tbh, I should have called the police. We got the impression this was a shop front for illegal activity. As they seemed worryingly over confrontational for the situation.

Authentic, savory and amazingly delicious. Everything we had here was cooked to perfection. Wide variety of Chinese food here and worth multiple visits. Only here for a few days and will try to make it back before I leave. Go try it out!

"Frozen food processing plant" (restaurant) The dumplings sold for 8 yuan are 1/2 bag of Fangyuan quick-frozen dumplings for 5 yuan per bag. Mutton braised noodles are boiled mutton + quick-frozen noodles + thick thick hot water that has no taste at all and is full of pepper flavor. Yam and pork ribs soup is yam + pork ribs + thick and completely tasteless hot water. I'm convinced I can go to a restaurant like this Although the cooking temperature of the quick-frozen dumplings is okay

Good taste, but a bit expensive price

When I walked by here this afternoon my curiosity was immediately sparked as the place was full of asian people, which in my experience is usually a good sign. I checked out their website later to see what kind of stuff they did, and was kind of confused as it seemed they did a bunch of fusion stuff mixing up all kinds of different asian cuisines, which in my experience is often a bad sign. I couldn't help but walking in and eyeing the place this evening though, and when I saw what was on the tables I was pretty much sold: big super aromatic smelling bowls of hotpot of all kinds. Me and my friend had the Sichuan spicy hotpot. We asked if they had a vegetarian option and it turned out you could just mark what you wanted in there on a handy piece of paper. You could also mark how spicy you want it. I'd selected "normal" as I like to think I can handle some spice. When the waiter came to collect our choices he advised me - not in a condescending way - to maybe opt for "mild" in stead as he could always make it more spicy for us should we want that. Turns out he gave exactly the right advise. The mild variant was still pretttttyyyy spicy, definitely ample of spice for me and my friend even though both of us are quite used to spicy food. I'm glad the waiter advised us on this. Anyway the hotpot we ended up getting was amazing. Super aromatic, everything cooked just right, and we even got a free side-dish which was a spicy cucumber salad and was also really tasty. Would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

1.Salt does not melt in the fried rice, mixing with small pieces of sands or rocks. 2.The waitress are in terrible attitudes. impatient and not friendly at all. pushing us to order, so stressed to eat in the restaurant Hope they can do better in the future. and guarantee the quality and provide clean foods. The staff said there is student discount so I searched out my student card as proof, when I got back he has written a different number on the receipt and said nothing, I was just wondering and muttering "ung?" and he immediately said "you are stupid" and then laughed. I don't find this funny at all. I took friends from Durham this time and I always do when people visit me and have been to this place for so many times in two years and spent easily some 500 to 1k quid there. The service has never been too good but this time it is just unacceptable. I will not be coming back ever again.

Not hygienic, and lack of standard.

Used to be my favourite Chinese restaurant in Bristol, unfortunately, no longer. The portion sizes have decreased tremendously (as well as a hefty price raise) since my first visit in late 2017, to the point where it is actually stingy. The food is still very good and authentic, but doesn't provide the enjoyable eating experience like it used to.

The food was really great and the staff were helpful. Although beware the pepper corns that come with the gravy as those left a very bad taste in the mouth. But overall good!

I am new in Bristol but tried some chinese restaurants here before and was just dissapointed. Toro, however, was really good. the best chinese restaurant so far. prices are ok. its a bit small and later in the evening you do hear people singing at the ktv. definitivly recommended if you are looking for authantic chinese food.

This is my time visit yesterday at Toro Restaurant in Parkstreet Bristol. We had a seafood soup and Seafood with Japanese Tofu it was delicious. We dont eat meat and it’s difficult to get good seafood dishes, we are happy with the customer service and quality of food. I will definitely visit soon.

Noodles are good, stir fried veg is just ok. Hot pot is great!! Good for meat eaters, limited for veggies. A bit pricy compared with other Chinese restaurants

The maocai was obviously leftovers, the beef had a strong flavor, and the pig's trotters had been there for who knows how long. As a result, 3 people ate it, and all of them had diarrhea. This was the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten, and I vowed never to go there again.

Drooped in just before Chinese new Year and had beef noodle soup which was completely scrumptious with a bit of spice/heat.

Best Chinese in town by far! My wife is Chinese and it is her favourite place to eat authentic food.
