Great shop, tasty food and friendly owner.

Really good service from what feels like a family owned place. We had the cod, chips and mushy peas. All was really tasty.

Been coming here for two years now, the fish is always fried to order which is reassuring. The fries can sometimes be inconsistent however this place is definitely worth visiting !

My partner and I travel every Saturday to visit here as the fish and chips have made other shops not worth visiting due to the fantasic food here. The staff are fantastic, friendly and welcoming.

Always come to Tops for takeaway and each time the service is helpful and kind. We don’t have to wait too long for our haddock to be cooked fresh. The chips were delicious as well as the fish. Will for sure come again!

A traditional fish and chips shop in the heart of East Barnet Village. Mainly takeaway but have a handful of tables. It was recommended to me by a friend, and even though I drive past nearly every day I've never been in. After walking in and seeing there were no fish ready on display, it actually reassured me that the cod I'd be ordering would be fresh. The best cod and chips I've had in a while. Crispy and fresh. Highly recommended.

Have used Topps a number of times now for delivery via Deliveroo. The fish and chips are beautifully cooked, crispy and not swimming in oil, and are without doubt the best in the area of East Barnet. Recommended!

Tops has been a regular for us. Ordered a large fish and chips with onion vinegar but received cold chips, regular sized and no vinegar. The delivery was quick though, so maybe it was rushed as it was getting to closing time. Very disappointed though.

Used in the past pre Covid but then they stopped delivery. Have used them again via Deliveroo and realise what we have missed! Beautifully cooked fish and chips and have renewed ordering. Recommended!

Best Fish and Chips in the area

I've been going here since I was around 10 years old with my parents, 25 years ago. Quality, food, service and atmosphere has never wavered. Always 5 stars. We have moved 30 miles away and still drive down just to get our ribs and chips from tops. No one else comes close!

Great food, good portions lovely friendly staff

Just moved into the area and we decided to try the local fish n' chip shop, and boy are we glad we did. The fish is freshly cooked and the chips are crispy and you don't get a bag full of oil by the time you get it home. If you've not tried Topps before, give it a go, you wont regret it.

Great little F&C take away. Fish is fresh, chips are great and they are always friendly. They also make a GREAT rice pudding! Street parking is only available after 7pm They do delivery too.

No allergens listed! Sorry but this is a basic legal requirement. We tried to order via deliveroo but no allergy information was available so rang the restaurant to be told ‘check the website’. No website is listed on their google page. Tried them on justeat too and again ‘for allergy advice phone the restaurant’. Ordered from elsewhere instead

We travel from Tottenham for our weekly fish and chip lunch/supper. I highly recommend their cod its tasty, with a crisp crunchy batter that a drizzle of fresh lemon is like a cherry on top. Chocolate fudge cake warmed is also delicious washed down with a cuppa that they also seem to make very well! Well done guys as always

Tried this take away for first time last night . Despite some delayed delivery subsequently rectified by management we were delighted by the quality of the fish and its cooking . Certainly the best we have tasted in a 5 mile radius . Looking forward to our next take away 👍

I've been bringing family and friends here for approximately 18/19 years. There has been change of ownership over those years but visited there a couple of weeks ago.....and all is well. We went here for the first time & ate in. What a fantastic experience. The service was great, the food was exceptional.... probably the best fish & chips we’ve ever had! We will definitely be going back. Would highly recommend Topps Fish Bar.

Ridiculous prices for eating in... £13.90 for cod and chips! And no children's menu either. Takeaway not much better at £8.80 for a cod. Not like a huge high rent area to justify these prices. Unsurprisingly there was just 1 person inside; they should lower their prices and get bums on seats.

Delicious chips, fried fish, and grilled fish options. Nice decor, good seating, and excellent staff. Eat-in prices are hefty but takeaway is cheap. I wish they offered charcoal-grilled fish as well.

It's hard to find decent fish and chips in London these days, but this place really is the Tops. My haddock was excellent, fresh and perfectly cooked with good batter, but the chips stole the show - good quality potatoes cooked in clean oil, they were perfect. And the service.........friendly and efficient with a good community feel.
