The place was deleted from google maps and just re-added today. If you love the place please add 5 stars so they can regain their top rating. Best fish and chip shop around and a local favourite. The guys are so friendly. The fish and chips supper £6.90 is a great bargain!

Nice Shish Kebab Wrap, would recommend!

I bought a cod & large chips but for the very first time the chips weren’t an actual size large rather it turns out to be a small which I was shocked for I am big eater, cod was good size portion and hot sadly the portion for chips let me down and on that bases I have to leave this place a 2 star and won’t be buying again in the future.

We ordered 6 meals to be delivered by Deliveroo, only 5 meals arrived. My husband called the restaurant and the staff were rude - implying he was lying. They were incredibly rude and insulting, saying they'd check the CCTV. Also one of the meals that did arrive was undercooked. Avoid this horrible place.

I had the pie and it was cold and undercooked. We didn’t get one of the meals we ordered then called to ask where it is and they accused us of lying and didn’t offer us any replacements. Horrible service

Really bad customer service. They missed a meal out of our order. We called up to talk about it and they refused to do anything. They suggested that we were wrong. Bad customer service and we will not be returning.

Very bad customer service. When our Deliveroo order for 6 people was one meal short, we queried it and the staff were rude and unhelpful. Won't be ordering from here again

This my favourite local chip shop and they are the best. Its a family run business and they are awesome so friendly and welcoming. Their cod supper is so good and so is their doner kebab, my daughters loves getting a kebab roll and I must say do I.

I have been using popeyes since they opened. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Always amazing tasty fresh fish and chips. I order by phone and walk my little doggies and wait outside. Definitely recommend. Oh and yes thier chilli sauce is the best. They also gave my granddaughter a lollipop which was thoughtful. Thank you from your local resident

We absolutely love Popeye's. Normally a kebab shop and a fish and chip shop don't mix, but this is the exception to the rule. Their fish and chips are great, fresh and the oil is fresh. The kebabs are tasty and hot and the salad is fresh and crunchy as it should be. The staff are amazingly welcoming and everytime we go, they'll ask how my wife is and how my daughter is and give her a lollipop. They're great and local. If we can't get to the shop for a takeaway, then we'll order a delivery through an app as we did tonight.

We popped in because it clever looked hygienic from the outside and we felt comfortable that we wouldn't be recognised because staff and customers barely recognised each other. We ordered fish and chips each. We didn't consider that the order would challenge them, what with it being a fish and chip shop. But hey ho, can't be many people who have been asked to catch the fish they want. So martin, (I think was the owners name-he was slightly feminine looking), reassured us that everything was normal , so there we were, the four of us perched on the sides of the deep fay fryer, each holding a fishing rod. Don't even bother asking what we were using for bait. It's too messed up. Like proper messed up. Didn't tip. Won't return. Xx

The place was recommended by my mother and her neighbour.Ordered by phone ,fish and chips placed in a box .Food was cooked impeccably with a delightful crunch to the batter .You can tell it’s family run and they pour there heart and soul in their food .Keep up the great work .Mario

This place is a little gem! I tried it for the first time last weekend and I have already been back. Lovely people working in there and the food is reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked and really good quality, lovely local fish and chippy!

Definitely the best fish and chips shop you can find in London. The staff is very friendly and they assure great customer service. Grabbed some Popeyes special the other, it was freshly cooked, and tasted delicious. The wings are very crispy and fills you up. They definitely need to open more shops around London as everyone needs to enjoy this taste. Would recommend to everyone

We love Popeyes, something for all the family, delicious fish cooked to perfection, chicken nuggets, burgers, kebabs on the coals. Friendly staff, always fresh food cooked in front of you or can be ordered in advance and reasonably priced. They are consistently good. Best in Barnet.

I needed 40 fish suppers, 3 sausage & chips, and 3 spring rolls & chips at 1pm for the church’s friendship group. All ready at the right time and piping hot. They even knocked a little something off the price! Thank you Popeye’s - excellent value for money and everyone had a fabulous lunch. (Obviously, we checked this was ok a week earlier and put in the final order the day before).

None of the staff on my visit wearing masks or gloves and allowing the waiting area to be crowded. When I questioned the manager he told me it was too hot to wear masks.

This shop is our only place we consider for my wifes Fish and Chips which she loves. The food is consistently good and the owner/staff are the friendliest people to deal with and we have many a chat about the weather/life etc whilst waiting for the fish and chips. and we even get to speak with the other customers as its that kind of place. The owner knows me as the weather man as i always provide the forecast

Ali and the guys took over the business from Popeye a few years ago when Popeye retired. Popeye was a master fryer. He’d crisp the golden batter to perfection whilst ensuring the cod or haddock melted in your mouth. He’d been frying for a long time. He was bloody good at it. The smartest move Ali made was to learn from Popeye during the transition phase which lasted a few months. Ali continues to this day Popeye’s high-frying standards! And he’s added a kebab section (delicious). Top tip - phone your order in as they make everything from fresh!

Helt ok mat men kanske lite smaklöst. Fick hälla mycket salt och vinäger för att fish and chipsen skulle vara i min smak. Annars jättemysig miljö och trevlig personal.

Tried their fish and kebabs, both very good, not greasy, clean, and anything you ask is not a problem. Shop is clean inside and all the food is on display and fresh, parking is ample and you will not have any difficulty parking. Call your order through 15 minutes in advance and just turn up, collect, go home and enjoy. If you just turn up at busy times there will be a bit of a wait.

We get a takeaway at least once a week from Popeyes, just call it in and pick it up nice and fresh 10-15 minutes later.I always have the Chicken Shish, which is always a really good portion, cooked really well and with fresh salad. The rest of the family have a bit more variety, including Lamb Shish, Burgers (the tastiest around), Chicken Breast, kids Nuggets & Chips, the Cod Supper is always a favourite and is so reasonably priced.The fish and chips are not greasy like many others and the fish is boxed so it stays intact on the trip home.The shop is spotlessly clean. I passed this shop daily for ages whilst continuing to use my regular haunts in East Barnet or Cockfosters, my only regret was that I did not try it earlier as not only is the food better, more reasonable, the staff are really friendly - they treat you like an old friend and you can also park really easily. So, venture away from the local main roads, go down to the roundabout at the bottom of Mount Pleasant and enjoy.
