Top Wok in Wirral

I’ve only recently started using top wok because I never thought they would deliver as far away as Pensby. To my delight they do. The meals arrive piping hot and taste better than I could have hoped. I strongly recommend you try this chippy it’s great.

i ordered through just eat at 7.30 the delivery time was an hour the food came at 10 pm .when the food arrived it was freezing and awful .i rang the shop to make an complaint and was told we are to busy and put the phone down .this service is totally unacceptable .Do not use TOP WOK Bebington wirral. awful service and food

Awful, i ordered at 6pm through Justeat and it stated it would arrive before 7.15pm, it didn't. I tried to call them on the phone constantly engaged. My husband went down to the take away, and when he did it turned up cold. I challenged the delivery driver who was rude and argumentative stating wasnt her problem. The food was cold, it is less than 5 min drive. I gave the food back. The staff at take away no customer care and refused refund said had to go through Just Eat. DO NOT USE. I have warned you. NEVER AGAIN. It use to be a great Chinese not anymore.

Previously, we loved the Top Wok, my last review was positive. Tonight we ordered meals for three persons. I can only assume it has changed hands, as the meals, which we have ordered previously, were a shadow of their former selves. Very poor. Sadly we wont be ordering again in a while.

Ordered delivery via Just Eat, quick delivery but the food was awful, ordered 2 x hot and sour soup - what turned up was left overs thrown into a grey dishwater looking swill, nothing at all like hot and sour soup, main course of chicken chow mien was just chicken noodles ! Ribs were tough (although the sauce on them was nice) prawn toast and prawn crackers were fine, very disappointed and I hate to leave bad review but this time it is really warranted.

Haven’t had a takeaway for months and my husband and I decided we’d like a curry night lockdown as a treat. I looked on just eat and decided to go with top wok a banquet for 1 x2 which Had beef curry and fried rice and also included chicken and sweet corn soup, spring rolls and wontons with a sweet chilli sauce. Sounded great. What a let Down, no wontons or sauce, And no curry - was given beef and black bean and sweet and sour pork with fried rice, both we don’t like, - it was so disappointing as was looking forward to a curry night. What we got the quality wasn’t great either. Spoilt our evening. And It went in the bin!! what a waste of money!! I phoned top wok and all they could say was sorry they got the order wrong. Won’t be ordering from them again. It wasn’t that nice. Given one mark for service Though because they did come on time With the food but Unfortunately with the wrong order and I don’t think they were really bothered.

Made an order at 7pm and its now 22:47 and the order has not been delivered despite them claiming it has been delivered will never use them again and would advise others to stay away i am now looking at going hungry tonight....scumbags and thieves

Pre-ordered today for a 5.35 pm delivery. It arrived at 4.30 pm. Faced with the choice of returning the meal for a later delivery and having to trust it would be fresh, or keeping the meal we opted for the latter. The food was fine, both in quality and quantity. Price was value for money. I would have awarded three stars but for the incorrect time of arrival.

Take you money and deliver nothing. I was going to leave it at that but I need to write 100 words. Try calling them, they don't answer.

Very upset spent £45 for meals no curry sauces 2 ordered, one of main meals missing, told by top wok that it will take 30 minutes to come or you can pick it up not using it again and the customer service was very bad didn’t even get an apology awful

Do not order from here ! Food was over an hour late an was literally stone cold. Salt an pepper chicken was rock hard with no peppers or anything with it. Phoned them an was told we will sort you out next time we’re really busy !! There will not be a next time and if your that busy stop taking orders for a few hours to catch up or be more honest about delivery times atleast !

Absolutely nothing good to say. They don’t take card payments or Paypal like all advertising says, cash only. Food is bland, dissatisfying and over priced for quality.

Ordered from here at the weekend as me and my partner had just got out first apartment. Ordered around 10:30pm and never the less it was delivered around 11pm which was a lot sooner than the app stated which was great. However the food on the other hand.. the salt and pepper chips where lovely very hot and hot as in flavour also really nice but the main meals costing around £7 each were shocking!!! Crispy chilli chicken in ok sauce, well this was a tiny portion with some sauce that didn’t have any taste to it just taste like sticky honey completely flavourless. The chilli garlic Chicken probably the worst meal I’ve ever had the sauce was just water you wouldn’t possibly be able to pour it over rice or chips your plate would just be wet and soggy! Nearly ruined everything on the meal! The veg was very soggy because of this just so flavourless and soggy texture not nice at all. The combination started was alright but again cheap tasting the ribs didn’t have any taste to them what so ever and were tiny! Just bones! Won’t be returning I’m afraid shame as it’s our new local as well.

Ordered 2 currys. What I received was boiled rice with vegetables and yellow water which I could not call a "curry sauce". The meal didn’t taste like curry whatsoever. Really disappointed.

Ordered here as has a 5* hygiene rating ordered King Do ribs tasty but small and not much meat. I also ordered crispy shredded beef honey & chilli style. This wasn't great as it had that much rich soy sauce in it you couldn't taste anything else and certainly not chillies just sickly salt wouldn't order again. Prawn crackers nice and fresh and warm. I won't be doing an 8 mile round trip again go revisit.

I rated this takeaway highly previously but i have to say that they have a absolute cheek. We have purchaced their ribs many times before but on our last trip we recevived 5/6 tiny bony ribs in their usual large polystyrene container and we felt robbed. I could feel how light it was when I held It, bones! Almost £6 for a portion of bones! Give us chunky juicy ribs please like you should! We were that disappointed that we haven't been back since although the other dishes are tasty so it is a shame.

Gorgeous chinese takeaway. Tried this takeaway for the 1st time in March 2018. Very impressed, we have ordered many times since. It has a 5* food hygiene rating which is why I wanted to give it a go. I won't go anywhere else now. From the salt and pepper combo, salt and pepper chips, chicken chop suey, foo young, spring roll, honey chilli chicken, everything we have had is so nice. You can't compare the quality to next door but 3 with its poor food hygiene rating yet queues out the door. I don't get it. Order direct from them though as you pay more doing it though the apps

We ordered the Char Siu Bao, the Shui Mai, the Grilled Dumplings and the Deep Fried Crab Claw. All were hot, tasty and it was delivered five minutes earlier than the estimate! We'll definitely order again, we've been looking for a good place for dumplings!

A quality takaway. Authentic chinese. Dishes include fried rice dishes, Chow Mein, Vermicelli, Thai, Japaneses, Malaysian & Cantonese.

Because it was microwaved thats why! The food was warm not hot and you could just tell it was microwaved or something! It was horrid and i wont order from here again

Disgusting service from this place. Sent wrong order and wouldn't accept blame for it, offered refund but no replacement food and by this point most other takeaways were closed. Refunded money never showed up and food was only fit for the bin. Will never order from this place again and told others not to. Absolute incompetence.

Do not order from here. The sauce was just water no flavour at all. Actually unpleasant. Threw pretty much the whole meal away and just ate the rice. They thankfully know how to boil rice but that's about it.

Was really fancying a Chinese and thought I would try this place instead of my usual lets just say it was a completely let down I couldn't even eat it the bbq sauce was bland and completely not like bbq sauce and the rest of the food was just so bland I just wasted £15 thanks:)

Ribs are awful value for money for the price, more meat on my little toe. Overall very disappointed.

Sweet & sour king prawns was delicious not coated in loads of batter and food arrived ahead of time. Love the food from the takeaway.

Food seemed rushed order time was 50 mins but food came in 20 min but after eating half the food it seem not cooked well and the next day I felt awful had stomach cramps for 2 days, I would not order from here again.

Poor service, didn't deliver on time, waited 1 hour before calling, to be told that we had given them the wrong address even though just eat had saved my address and other take aways were able to find it. They didn't even bother calling to ask, instead the driver drove back to takeaway. Then waited further 45 mins before food was actually delivered where it was cold and poor quality. Shocking service, I recommend you avoid this take away

Great as always! Have ordered here many times and never had a bad meal. If I was to be picky, the only fault I could find was the sauce in the Thai red curry was a little thin, but tasted great so all was forgiven :-)

Abrió mi pedido y me di cuenta de que ni siquiera nos dio la sal y la pimienta costillas de repuesto. Y lo que había allí no estaba caliente. Les llamó para quejarse y suficiente que enviaron las costillas de salida 30 minutos más tarde, también no importó, ya que la única cosa que estaba en el cuadro 6 los huesos con casi ningún carne. Nunca más.

Really disappointed with our meal. Have ordered from here a while ago, and it was nice. This evening it was what seemed to be frozen chips, that tasted awful. There was hardly any meat on the ribs, and overall the quality of food wasn't good at all, and all luke warm. Never normally leave a review or complain!.. But we hardly ate anything. Wouldn't order from here again.

Good food delivered well in the stated time.

Delivery came 15 mins late, cold food. Fish dinner, curry was thick and dried up, fish was soggy and literally looked like mashed potato in batter, just didn't taste of anything at all. Chips felt reheated, hard and cold. Binned it all. Never ordering from this place again. I'll enjoy my can of rio with a pizza instead

Seriously disappointed. £20 on 3 meals which were largely inedible. I ordered crispy chicken in honey & chilli. No chilli at all, just loads & loads of salt. Couldn't eat it. My wife had king prawn in chilli & garlic. Again no chilli and almost tasteless. They even managed to ruin special fried rice. Never again.

Arrived alittle later than expected but it didn't matter as the food was fantastic, everything was delicious, hot., didn't feel too stodgy or heavy afterwards. This is my new Chinese restaurant to order from!!
