Top Wok in Oxford

never ever use this chinese for food ,the ingredients used are not fresh are badly cooked and will make you ill , it was so bad i am going to inform trading standards how this place is allowed to take money from people is beyond me,steer well clear and pay that little extra for food you will be able to eat ,as i spent £52 pound and threw every little morsel into the bin ,the food was ransid ,without doubt the worst food i have ever had i beg people not to use

Today was the first time I’ve ever ordered from this place. We ordered a varied selection to try and I can safely say I couldn’t fault a single thing. The portions were great, price was reasonable and flavour was gorgeous. We called up to order for collection and it was ready in 10-15 minutes. The only downside was we both needed a rather immediate run to the loo when we had finished.

Really tasty food, We have used this take away for several years and have never had a bad meal. We rate it as the best Chinese around. there is always plenty of meat in each meal ,it is not bulked out with vegetables like some takeaways are. Staff lovely from ordering by phone to the delivery man . You are always told how long delivery will be and it is usually quicker than the estimate Last but not least it is very well priced.

Myself and my family ordered food for a birthday dinner, spending over £70+. The food took 40 mins to arrive (fair enough) but the food was awful, half the order was incorrect, everything but the chow mein and rice was tasteless, and the following day 6 of the 9 who ate are not feeling well at all. My advice, treat your stomach, and give this a miss.

1 hour and 20 min delivery Food cold Forgot prawn crackers after spending over £30 And charged £5.50 delivery for a 10 minute drive to Berinsfield. Never again!!

We moved to Oxford over 2 years ago. We tried various other Chinese takeouts with little success before we came across Top Wok, and since then we've never gone anywhere else. Their menu has a great selection, thats really well priced. The customer service is always amazing. But most importantly the food is INCREDIBLY. Waiting times for home delivery is always reasonable, and they have always come around (or before) the time they've suggested. We have picked up our order a few times, and the store front/waiting area is always clean and welcoming. A firm favourite in our house.

We’ve been buying occasional takeaway suppers from Top Wok (and its previous incarnation at the same address) for the past 40 years. We would patronise nowhere else: the food is excellent, piping hot even after being delivered from East to South Oxford, complete absence of cloying mono sodium glutamate, just really tasty,large portions, beautifully presented, genuinely authentic takeaway food. Top Wok Oxford has no rival. Brilliant👍💥

New to the area for the month and this place came highly recommended . Good food good prices and great service expect to wait upto an hour at weekend so book a head

just got back from holiday, didn't want to cook so opted for a takeaway and chose Top Wok Cowley to provide me with my tea and I definitely wasn't disappointed. Phoned through my order and collected 10 mins later and within 5 mins I was back home tucking into some fine oriental fayre. Everything hot and fresh and delicious. I've tried a few Chinese takeaways around Oxford and this is by far the best and my favourite. I recommended this to friends recently and they now travel 10 miles to collect their food as they've realised it's the best one around! I personally recommend the chicken balls with chilli and garlic dressing mmm mmm

We get our Chinese from Top Wok every Friday. We usually order over the phone and go and collect it and occasionally have it delivered. The food is always piping hot and of a very high quality. We have tried other Chinese’s and none of them live up to the standard of Top Wok. The staff are always polite and friendly. Would HIGHLY recommend!

I aleays order from here the portion size is good and the food is aleays lovely fresh and hot . Its one of the best chinese takeaways in oxford .and good value for money .

I have been waiting 1.5 hours for my food and it still hasn't arrived. Not happy at all. I don't see why I should pay for delivery and have to wait that long. Normally I don't have an issue with this place

La primera vez que hemos comido aquí y, aunque estaba bien, nos decepcionó bastante por el precio. Teníamos tofu en salsa de frijoles negros y tofu con verduras, pero el tofu no era como el típico tofu frito. Era suave tofu "mojado" en una masa viscosa. El resto sabía bien, pero el rango de verduras no era excelente y las porciones no son enormes, por lo que necesitas un arroz hervido cada una. Los mini rollos de verduras eran crujientes pero no mucho relleno (como suele ser el caso). Sin embargo, el servicio era bastante bueno y hacía calor.

Good Chinese food at decent prices. Friendly staff. Quick turnaround. Never had a bad meal. Turned us into regulars and we are fussy!

The Best Chinese in Oxford,,, the food is consistently good and the service is the same, unlike other takeaways as you will see by my other posts.. Hats off to Top Wok ;-))

Orderd food to collect, was ready on time all very hot in temperature, and was not let down as it was all lovely, and didn't keep us awak all night, will be visiting again very soon.

Had a lovely meal from here with friends, to plan our next trip away and were to eat, food was lovely good size portions taste was all lovely

La mejor comida para llevar que nos hemos encontrado en nuestra zona por su relación calidad-precio y calidad de la comida, que son clientes habituales y nos encanta.

Nos alojamos en el Travelodge en Abingdon Road, y pregunté si me entregan a nosotros, que quedaron. La comida llegó un poco más tarde de lo que originalmente se había aconsejado, pero era caliente, sabroso y muy agradable. Sin duda el uso de nuevo si en la zona.

Parece que han pasado una auténtica edad perfilación para encontrar una buena relación calidad-precio para llevar chino, Wok es muy local, a un precio razonable y fiable. Sin duda merece la pena una visita, debe probar las tostadas de gambas!

We use this "take Out", sometimes my husband goes and collects a meal, and sometimes we have a delivered meal. Always nice food, I like the Beef Chow Mein, its Chinese "with a British accent", but you know what it is tasty and it don't cost a fortune, and sometimes after a hard week at work, it is handy and reliable.

My order was messed up after pre phoning 20 prior to getting to the shop! The English lady working there spent about 15 minutes tending to her teenage son apon arrival, after 40 minutes waiting in the shop I asked for my money back obviously as I couldn't possibly wait a second longer. She was extremely rude and gave me my money back in the smallest change possible. Terrible service!!

Always great food, never been dissapointed. Used to use there home delivery service when we lived in the area and that was quick. Well recommend this takeaway

Went here tonight for the first time with my partner, ordered our food, sat down, within 5 minutes our order was ready! We couldn't believe it! And the Food tasted gorgeous, we're definitely going here again. Friendly staff, very welcoming. And like I said, RAPID service! Definitely reccomend

Went to Top wok for our usual a couple of months back, pre ordered and heard a polite English Womans voice on the other end of the phone, was taken aback as it was usually the owner whom answered nevertheless, the order was promptly placed and ready in the time estimated, upon unwrapping our usual me we started to see that certain packaging had changed from cardboard lid and foil to plastic. Not a big fan of plastic! Moreover the taste and quality didnt seem as like it was cooked in a Wok or steamed in a Bamboo steamer etc, it had the heat and feel as if it had been Microwaved. Haven't been back as for years I have always had the same quality which I now get from another old takeaway closer to me.

Top wok doesn't serve the best Chinese food in Oxford but it's one of the best take-aways in the area. The menu is fairly standard but the food is always ready quickly and is of a consistently reliable quality. It's only when we go elsewhere and try other poorer Chinese take-aways that we realise how good Top-wok can be. Not the finest cuisine but very unlikely to disappoint.
