Its closed. Thank heavens. Dirty place. Oily food. Hideous. Had a photo of Princess Diana in the window so as to lure in punters. In the photo Diana is running away from this place.

Great little Indian place a few steps from the Pimlico tube. Great food - wide range of choices on the menu, very good staff and very reasonable by London prices.

Pretty good Indian food of the Southern Indian variety. Close to Dolphin Square in Pimlico. Efficient, polite staff. Clean. It's OK.

Been here a few times and enjoyed it every time. Polite helpful staff (if sometimes over busy) go the extra mile, even if doing a take away and happy to resolve if they forget your dish. Best indian I have found in SW1 so far.

I ordered a takeaway whilst I was waiting I noticed the state of the place it was dirty and only scored 3 on food hygiene. This should have started alarm bells. I gave my order specifically asking for no or little oil charged way over the odds for what I ordered got back to my room curry was full of oil tiny portion sizes (chicken tikka tandoori). I was disgusted especially as I specifically asked and watched the waiter write it down on his pad the food is vile do not go here if you want a decent curry. Place was dirty never again

Back home in Anchorage, Alaska, there are only a couple of options available for Indian food, so we've been looking forward to trying Indian restaurants while on holiday in London. Top Curry Centre is right across the street from the Pimlico tube station, and based on the TripAdvisor reviews, seemed like a good place to eat.The restaurant is fairly small, but cozy. Fortunately, it wasn't at all crowded and we were seated right near the front window. The menu has way more options than we are used to. Rather than try something completely new, we opted for something familiar. The garlic naan was terrific - light and airy, but crunchy around the edges. Mrs. frsbdg ordered the chicken mahkani, which sounded a bit like her favorite dish back home. Although it turned out to not be the same recipe, it was very good. I had the chicken vindaloo, which was terrific - heat level was just right. In both our dishes, the chicken was amazingly tender, like nothing we'd ever eaten before. Portions aren't all that large and rice is an extra charge, so you may want to order more dishes than we did.As the restaurant was virtually empty, the service was fine. Our waiter looked at us a little funny when we ordered the garlic naan as an appetizer - apparently that's not the way it's typically done over here but no matter. They were very attentive and wanted to know what we thought of the food. If you're staying in the Westminster area and using the Pimlico tube station, we highly recommend Top Curry Centre for excellent Indian food.

Remember the curry house you used to use in the 80s .. Well this is that place , nothing's changed and hopefully neve will. It's retro in a really they haven't changed way. The plate the menu and the decor is just as it should be .. It's an indian resurant. If your in pimlico and need somewhere to eat where you know what your going to get at a reasonable price then try this place Starter , Main, Nan and rice with a pint of beer cost just £23. Excellent

There was a regular stream of locals dropping in throughout which is always a good sign for the local Indian. Thank you Top Curry Centre

Like some of the other reviewers below, I've been here quite a few times over the years. If you want truly excellent south asian cuisine in London, go to Brick Lane. If you need to be in the Pimlico area then Millbank Spice a couple of hundred yards away serves better food but at commensurately higher prices. Don't be put off by the external appearance of the Top Curry Centre - yup, it's tired and jaded but the food is good for the price and the menu covers enough variety for anyone. The staff are very friendly.

Been going here for years, ok the decor is very very old and dated and the outside dont look up to much but dont let that put you off as the food here is great and me and all of my family have used it for years along with Millbank spice just down the road, these two are the best curry houses in SW1 by far.

All the dishes here seem to taste the same but with varying degrees of chilli. Flavours do not seem fresh as is usual in British curry houses so I was very disappointed. PLus the place is very shabby - should have known by the look of the place from the outside what it would be like. Sorry - not a fan

I love this place. It serves top quality curries with good natured service and all at a very reasonable price for central London. The place looks a little ragged from the outside, but this does not reflect the quality of the food, and the inside is clean, with a very genuine feel to it which creates a good atmosphere.Thoroughly recommended.

We love this place! From the outside it's not much to look at and the plates look like they were borrowed from somebody's granny, but once the food comes you can't think of anything but how delicious it is! Two people can eat for under twenty pounds and eat well. The curries, tikka masala, korma; it's all beyond yummy. We can't recommend this local joint anymore highly. They also do takeaways and are open late (at least 11:30pm).

I’d highly recommend the Chicken Tikka Jaipuri; great portion size, plenty of chicken tikka and lovely a spice level. It certainly hit the spot. I dined at 18:15 and the restaurant was quiet but had packed out by the time I left. Consider a booking if you’re going at peak time.

We visited the Gunpowder Restaurant on Greek Street in Soho as part of their India Club monthly dining experience. The 6 course menu showcased Hyderabad cuisine. The Kid Goat Keema Lukhmi was excellent along with the Chicken 65, and the Kakori Mutton Seekh and the Sofiyani Dum Biryani with grilled Mirchi ka Salan. Excellent food and excellent value.

Average given the price. Nothing particularly bad, but given the price the food quality was about average and nothing really stood out as wow, as you would hope for somewhere charging £50/head. On the face of it the decor looks ornate and impressive, but actually when you looked closer the wood panelling looked tired, and in places may have had black mould on the edges of the mouldings. The atmosphere was also somehow cold and lacking warmth and class — it is possible this was due to a poor choice of lighting, mostly overhead and cold in temperature, and not enough side lighting and of a warmer colour temperature. It was also actually cold! It is not clear why the air conditioning would be on and set to such a low temperature in October. It was too cold for my 74 year old mother, but eventually they did provide a small space heater, which greatly improved things. The staff were friendly and helpful — i.e. with the space heater —and the manager honoured the price I was quoted online, which disagreed with the price in the menu in the restaurant.
