Tootoomoo in Barnet

We have been going there since it first opened. The food is delicious and always consistent. Last few years is our favourite take away food. Always arrives warm and tastes as good as eating there.

We have been going here for a few years and always enjoyed our experience. On Friday we went as a family of 4 and were super impressed!! Feel food and service were even better!!! Has there been a change?? Really really enjoyable in every respect. Wish we had cash on us to leave the lovely waiting staff a cash tip. Will be back soon.

We had the most amazing dinner in Tootoomoo, Whetstone last weekend. The selection of foods was incredible and all tasted food amazing from Tempura Prawns to Sticky BBQ ribs and, my favourite the Korean Chicken, not to mention the Thai Green Curry and the Chilli beef, we were spoilt for choice. To top it all off, the staff were so nice and friendly. Well worth a visit. Thank you Tootoomoo

Delicious food, we had small plates to share and found that there was a nice variety of different foods for vegetarian & meat eaters

The food was awful. Over cooked noodles, tasteless dishes, particularly starters and overpriced!!!

Love their cocktails and food is also lovely. I live in the area and Tootoomoo is my save option to go to.

Overall the food was good however, the chicken in my main meal was rubbery and not appetising. No flavour at all. Is it is very obviously a precooked bought ingredients that is added to their main dishes. I was unable to eat any of the chicken it really did not taste very nice and was lukewarm the actual dish was lovely 

The Khao San noodles were very good and the dumplings are always a treat. Great service and good value

Excellent little restaurant. Friendly staff, great food and all reasonably priced. They even had half price cocktails for the whole evening on Thursday nights, which we weren’t aware of before we arrived, but definitely took advantage of.

This was very much an ok meal. Wasn't too keen on chicken gyozas and the sauce was a bit bitter on the main course. Lovely service and table though.

Was disappointed with fish dish. Tasted off and not very fresh (all 3 sea bass we had ordered). So we complained and Restaurant did take the price off bill, and we ordered something else. Maybe because this was a Sunday night? Otherwise other food was very good and great atmosphere. Service was a little slow, but it was quite busy .

Delicious. Everything we ordered was yummy, the service was really good, there was a buzz in the restaurant on Saturday night. Overall a really great night out.

Had a really nice dinner had never been before and so it was a nice surprise that the quality of the food was so good. Ordered starters Wasabi prawns, duck pancake rolls & Korean chicken all very good. Main course chicken katsu curry & Rendang curry both excellent. Good choice of wines & cocktails.

We have dined at Tootoomoo many times and always had a great experience. Where the staff were very attentive and friendly this time, the food and surroundings have really gone downhill. Food and drink: To start, we ordered squid and chicken Gyoza. The squid turned up looking like shards of wood chippings, bone dry, clearly the "offcuts" of frozen squid as they were all tiny pieces, they tasted disgusting so we sent it back. The plate that returned was the same. Terrible quality and something I would expect to be found in a rough pub. The Chicken Gyoza were fine. We both had an espresso martini which was so sweet and sugary we both felt sick afterwards. Surroundings: We elected to sit outside due to COVID, but all the tables for 2 were basically coffee table sized and absolutely tiny. The outdoor heaters were extremely bright and hot, I think due to the fact they were so low down. They made me feel ill with the heat and extreme bright light in my eyes. They had also crammed too many tables outside so whenever anyone needed to pass by, I got knocked in my chair which was irritating. Generally the decor etc. looks tired and in need of upkeep. We elected to leave after the starter to cut our losses. A terrible experience which we wont be repeating. A real shame as we used to love Tootoomoo.

the half price cocktails before 7pm was great!! i have coeliac disease and the waiter was really understanding and reassured me that the food was 100% gluten free as he was very careful with my order.

An excellent meal with great service.

There were four in our party and we enjoyed a pick and mix from the Asian menu. We all !oved it and the staff were very easy and attentive. The prawns, gyozo, and duck salads were all tasty and enjoyable. The wine list was limited but fine for us. The cost for 4 including drinks and service charge was £135, very enjoyable occasion. Would certainly visit again.

After lockdown, fancied a treat inside! Food was ok, mocktails expensive and a very cheeky service charge of over £9.30 added on. Generally they add 10% of over 6 persons in hospitality pre - covid, however we had a company of just 4. They simply pass a plate over from the open kitchen! really?? 2 course a few drinks. Don't get stung like us!!

We had fantastic experience, cocktails and food were excellent as was the Service - a really welcoming and lovely American (?) With orange hair.

Y el servicio fue muy amable e invitó a mi encantador Patrick. ?Los cócteles también eran deliciosos?Muy recomendable.

Very nice food, and big portions. Good value. I had chicken Rendang. Menus can be downloaded on your phone so you don't have to hold a physical menu because of Covid. I will definitely go back as there were other dishes I would like to try.

Great place!! Strongly recommend the Pad Thai Prawn and smoked chicken. Would be visiting again soon.

Vine a comer a TooTooMoo Whetstone durante el programa Eat Out To Help Out y me impresionó mucho todo lo que encontré.Fue mi primera vez, a pesar de escuchar muchas recomendaciones de mis amigos para probarlo, e inmediatamente me encontré con un personal amable y asientos rápidos en la mesa a pesar de que estaba llena.El ambiente era vibrante y los camareros eran amables y atentos. Nos hicieron sentir como si fuéramos bienvenidos. ¡Eso fue una gran ventaja para mi fiesta!La comida era de primera categoría. El pad Thai era genial, al igual que el pollo frito coreano y los tamaños de las porciones eran razonables.No sé por qué tanta gente está dando malas críticas sobre este lugar durante el período de comer fuera para ayudar; Los restaurantes están muy ocupados, comprensiblemente, pero estas personas realmente parecen estar trabajando duro. Creo que es un poco duro marcarlos durante un período tan ocupado.Yo debería volver.

Visitamos en agosto de 2020 como parte del programa Eat Out to Help Out; en general, nos decepcionó la calidad de nuestros platos de curry.Para empezar, teníamos la tempura de gambas y el pollo ahumado, ambos estaban bien.Para los platos principales, teníamos pollo Katsu, pollo Rendang y gambas al curry verde.El Pad Thai que pedimos estaba bien.El curry de gambas era bueno.Pero, Katsu y Rendang eran realmente malos.La pechuga de pollo en el Katsu estaba quemada en los bordes y había sido machacada demasiado fina. The food was tasteless and bland, the alcohol was watered down, the service was slow (maybe because we are black) as others came in after us and were served food before us. Wouldn’t recommend.

We visited in August 2020 as part of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, we were disappointed overall with the quality of our curry dishes. For starters, we had the Prawn Tempura and the Smoked Chicken - both were good. For the mains, we had Chicken Katsu, Chicken Rendang and Green Prawn Curry. The Pad Thai's we ordered were good. The Prawn Curry was good. But, the Katsu and Rendang were inedible. The chicken breast in the Katsu was burnt on the edges, and had been pounded too thin. The chicken in the Rendang was stodgy and dry, and my wife said that the vegetables were slightly off tasting - as if they had been cooked a day or two earlier. I get the feeling the restaurant may have pre-cooked the chicken in both dishes, and all of the vegetables, to try to save time during service during the busy EOTHO period. I am not sure I will return, even though I did have a decent Sunday lunch in 2019.

Food was Very basic and bland and food took long to arrive

Service was initially very poor. I had booked a table over a week before yet when I came I was told to stand in a corner for a few minutes which ended up being 15mins. I understand it was an ‘eat in to help out’ evening but it appeared the staff were seating walk-ins first. Once seated, service was ok- they turned up with our mains before serving our starters and then casually asked if we wanted it all at the same time. To summarise- food was good but service needs to be sorted out quickly as it’s putting people off going there.

I am a regular eat in customer and never tried the take away before. Since the lock down started I ordered here regularly and the food has been consistently good. The delivery was fast than expected.

Great food and service as ever but oh my gosh so noisy. We had been offered an emptier area on arrival but turned it down because it was so empty, it looked a bit desolate. Our mistake!!! More diners did go in that area but (having sat there before) it probably would have been a better experience for this time. We could hardly hear ourselves speak so left to have our coffee at home!

I went here with my friends. Nice and Cozy atmosphere in the restaurant. Good service tooo Thanks to make my night perfect with perfect meal and drink. Next week I will be back in London and I definitely come back again !!!

Prawn padthai is very nice. The restaurant is comfy itself. The staffs was very friendly and helpful. Nice place to dine and meet up with friends for a quick meal.

We were served by Fah and Patrick who gave us the best us the best service we ever had. Very friendly and welcoming. We did the brunch which was amazing value for money. Portion sizes were great. Drink we’re flowing (and unlimited). Would definitely recommend !! Will be returning

We went here as we love pan asian food... we have never been so disappointed! I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to share how terrible the food was here. The food was dry it all felt like it had been reheated. The aromatic duck was dry and tasteless, the korean fried chicken was not crispy, the chicken texture was strange, the prawn tempura was greasy and tasteless, the dim sum was tasteless, the chicken gyoza were the only half decent thing on the menu but the skin was too thick and doughy, the sushi salmon looked and tasted like rubber. Service was pretty average all round, which was surprising as dishes were a premium for what they were and service was included. The plates were slapped on the table by most of the waiters. Would not recommend.

The dishes were cooked to perfection and we enjoyed every tasty morsel. Go and you wont be disappointed. Eclectic surroundings with good service and a nice buzz. Chicken rendang is great for paleo observers.

I have been tootoomoo two times and both of them was a nice experience for me. Everyone was so helpful and always smiling. I enjoyed the nice padthai prawns. The plate was well balanced, every bite was so tasty and felt like I am in heaven. I will recommend this experience to everyone.. Thank you for everything..!!

This is my second time here. The level of service is good and attentive. The food was good and what you would expect from here. The waiters and waitresses was good and know what they are doing which make it a superb experience. Definitely will come again and recommended place.. 👍👍👍

When we arrived we told them our booking and the waiter showed us to our table. After 15 mins our friends texted to see where we were. They’d been sitting at a different table for 15 mins. We moved ourselves. No waiter apologised when I told them. The service was shockingly slow. The food portions were minute. I had the miso salmon but the accompanying beetroot was inedible. It had so much vinegar. There was nothing offered as a side. £15 for a piece of salmon was ludicrous. My friend had a sashimi salad. Honestly smaller Than a child’s potion. We paid £24 each. What a joke. Will never return. This restaurant used to be delicious. Not anymore.

Tuve fideos vegetarianos de Singapur que venían con tofu y una selección de verduras sin pretensiones, pero claramente considerada. Su sidra de pavo real es muy recomendable con uno de sus platos más picantes, ya que combina muy bien. ¡Gracias! Feliz de volver en cualquier momento. . .

Went in for lunch on Sunday. The food was excellent, and arrived pretty quickly. The service was good. The only issue we had was with a large group in the same section of the restaurant as we were. They had put their kids on a separate table and were not keeping any control of them at all. They were dancing and jumping around basically making a lot of noise. When on one occasion they jumped into the back of my chair, I did have to ask them to sit down. The parents were not even bothered to get involved at all. This was not the restaurants fault and I would still recommend.

This hit the spot for my family after a cinema visit. Our twenty something children thought it was fantastic. The service was prompt & friendly, the food good & tasty, the atmosphere was buzzy but not frenetic. Not a place you could linger for hours. We’ll definitely visit again

We enjoyed dining at Tootoomoo Whetstone. We were there on New Year’s Eve and while it was busy, the staff looked after us well. We enjoyed the food and the ambience.

Went here for the first time today and we were really impressed with the food. Large selection on the menu and some really tasty dishes. Loved the chicken rendang and Korean fried chicken! Will definitely be back again!

Would have been a perfect night only we told the staff we were waiting for a fourth person to join our table. When they arrived 10 mins later they told her that we hadn’t arrived yet and showed her to a table where she sat for 30 mins completely on her own. Due to having two completely separate rooms we were unable to see on another. Fortunately mobile phones saved the day and we we’re reunited. Otherwise a lovely evening. NB-The original room to the left is the quietest and less of an atmosphere.

Took my staff for Xmas meal. Staff very friendly and helpful but the only negative was we felt like they were rushing us so that they could go home.

Starter sizes are small and not value for money. Mains are decent size and good. Desert was OK

Last week I went with my family and ate at Tootoo moo. All food was great. Important Bulgogi dishes and Korien fried chicken was great. Excellent

Delightful restaurant and becoming one of our favourites. Staff are knowledgeable about their menu. My husband is diabetic and has dietary issues, this was a our second visit and, once again, they were more than helpful with advice on sauces. Conversation round the table is not drowned out by loud music!

Thought I would try this restaurant on recommendation. However, none of the food is made onsite, probably prepped off site as didn’t see the chefs working to make anything. The quality and freshness is poor. It’s overpriced and I would strongly recommend against eating here. Far better places unless you want pretty average Asian fast food.

If you want a top quality smash and grab this is the place to go! Fast service and a simple and tasty menu. Recommended!

After staying away for a few years after an undercooked and underwhelming takeaway from Tootoomoo, we gave it another go.

Staff were attentive and polite, atmosphere was great and food tasted lovely. My boyfriend, who’s biggest fear is not being full(!) was satisfied - the portions were very generous! Happy that this is so close to home and will return.

Manager could not have been more helpful. He explained on the phone after I’d booked that he was unable to take the OpenTable reward cheque worth £27 as his restaurant did not get back the money from a previous one issued by OpenTable. When we arrived he personally looked after us, recommended dishes suitable to my husband’s dietary needs and gave us a VIP card entitling us to about 12% discount to make up for the disappointment of not being able to use the dining reward. Lovely meal, delightful atmosphere .... will be going again

Came here for the first time after moving to the area. Was really looking forward to it after reading the reviews online sadly we were bitterly disappointed.

Back after a while and their new menu is a bullseye!! Try their dimsum and ramen noodles. Ask for extra spicy 😃

I have never had a bad meal here. The food is fresh and really nicely presented. The staff friendly and helpful. The price is not cheap but it is definitely worth it.

Pedimos 4 platos diferentes, tres estaban bien, pero los fideos estaban un poco insípidos: las verduras no eran muchas y los fideos en sí tenían un sabor podrido. Es una pena porque los cócteles eran agradables (lo mismo se hizo de dos maneras diferentes por alguna razón ...) y el ambiente en sí es encantador (diseño, mobiliario, etc.). Parece un lugar no bien organizado abierto por una persona no totalmente experimentada. Potencialmente puede ser mejor.

La comida y el servicio eran muy buenos, pero le cobraron un sorprendente 20% de servicio. Por esta sola razón no volveré.

Didn't get to see inside as we were with a friend who uses a wheelchair and they didn't have a ramp to get over the step. So we sat outside with the car fumes. A shame as we were really looking forward to it and the food was good. Being outside also meant that the service wasn't as attentive.

We tried for a somewhat late supper and overall it was a success in that we plan to come again. The dishes we tried were good, though the duck and watermelon salad was over-sauced (Hoisin) and the chicken satay was a little dry. The won ton soup was hearty and the dim sum items were very good, with the salmon sashimi being excellent.

Recomiendo esto mucho, la comida era muy sabrosa, a un precio razonable y todo el lugar estaba limpio y bien administrado.

Si le preguntas a alguien que haya estado en Tootoomoo cuál es su plato favorito, estoy bastante seguro de que la respuesta será la ensalada de pato y sandía. Así que cuando mi amigo me recogió para apoyar la Feria de la piedra de afilar de amor, mi boca se hizo agua al pensar en la golosina que se presenta con el disfraz de la ensalada de pato y sandía.

This restaurant seems to have taken a dip in not only quality but also presentation of food. Portion size seems to have shrunk as well especially in relation to vegetables Need to see an improvement before this is back on my list of favourites

Went there 2 days ago, we had chicken rendang, pad Thai, dumplings and Thai green curry. The food was superb!! The waiter and waitress there was attentive and efficient.. All in all wonderful place and highly recommended!!!!

We were recommended to visit by a couple whom we joined for a casual dinner.

I enjoyed our visit and everything was great except the food wasn’t 100%. I had Pad Thai which was nice but had no flavour, it was rather bland. My friends had a mix of different foods but still found it quite basic. On this, I probably wouldn’t return.

Service was awesome, best melon martini I’ve ever had, every food choice we shared was full of flavour and very delicious. I highly recommend. This was my first time visit and I will be sure to go back again when next in the UK!

Had dinner with my friends for the second time here and went as well as the first one. Good ambience, and since the weather was nice we sat outside. This time I went for beef rendang and was amazing. Also had espresso martini and was delicious. I tasted my friend's mojito, and that was really refreshing. Definitely will be back soon
