Took a long time for the restaurant to start preparing the food. Korma was not very pleasant.

Food is delicious but portion size of the mains are small, the mains use to be bigger. Pilau rice was ok. Arrived hot, but for £30 I was expecting a bigger mains.

Very good food, excellent value and friendly people. The naan and dal combo was perfect. The fish is a must try, it tasted amazing and was really fresh. Will be back to try the other items!

Delivery time kept getting extended, food was super spicy considering it was a vegetable biryani, sheek kebabs were covered in chilli flakes . Completely inedible. Greatly disappointed won't be using again

Ordered a delivery, it not only did it come sooner than expected but the food was so delicious and fresh. Such great flavours and value for money. Service was good too, thank you for a great meal!

Disappointing first and last order from a place conveniently located nearby which I really hoped I’d like. Positives: Delivery very prompt. Negatives: Ordered three dishes - lamb biryani, lamb bhuna and chicken tikka masala. The biyani rice was undercooked and had no flavor. The lamb in the bhuna was over cooked and chewy, again not flavoursome. The chicken tikka masala (pictured) was sickly sweet to the point I thought it was a korma gone wrong. When I called to say I thought the wrong item had been delivered the response was that the menu specifically said this was a sweet dish. The menu makes no such mention. Overall very dissatisfied with the food and the response. Not what one would expect for an order costing 40 pounds.

Excellent food and very good price compared to others. The chicken wing starter is delicious with a lovely paste crust and juicy flavourful chicken, dip then in the mint sauce, yummy. Then the sheehk kebab was very tasty and moist. My man said the korma was just the way he liked it, for the chicken tikka masala was a little bland, I like it more tomatoey, but lovely with Bombay potatoes which was very tasty! We will be back and I’ll try a different curry next time, the chicken was very good not

Excellent service. Minor mistake with the popodams which they forgot to put in the bag, however, many apologies by the owner and 5 minutes later delivered.

We just had our first takeaway from here. What can I tell you,... it will be the first of many more for sure. The chicken pathia and lamb bhuna were succulent!!

The food was dreadful. The naan was cold. The lamb pasanda was white and looked more like bread sauce than a pasanda. There was so much sauce in the tikka masala I feared drowning in search for the chicken. Avoid.

The order was sent to the wrong address. It was delivered to a neighbour who usually gets a weekly order. The neighbours children thought it was there’s and began to eat the food. The neighbour realised and the delivered it themselves. Although the food was partially eaten. Please can we have a refund. The order should have never been delivered to the wrong address.

The food at the Day of the Raj is easily the best Indian food around. I love their Chicken Tikka Masala and lobster sizzler. Amazingly good taste.

First order and the last order with them. I paid for a tandoori half chicken and to my disappointment the chicken was sampler than a quarter no meat on it absolutely waste of money. The portions of the curry were so small and full of oil and leaked all over the bag onto my carpet on delivery. Waste of money and damage to my carpet. Thank you

This evening, we ordered from Day of the Raj first time...it was one of the most delicious and quality food we have ever eaten...we had lamb dansak , which was cooked to perfection , very tender meat with nice tick sauce...and also ordered prawn biryani which was absolutely delicious...thank you Day of the Raj...it is great to have an amazing local restaurant nearby.

Food was delicious. Tazz was very helpful and welcoming. He was more than happy to accommodate my request for an item not on the regular menu. Service was quick and friendly and deserving of 5*. It’s Nice to see that the legacy of day of the raj Mill Hill is still going after many years. I look forward to my next takeaway from the restaurant. Thanks again.

The chana masala was terrible, but the chicken naga was great! So it was a mixed experience. Sadly though the chana masala was for me as I'm vegetarian and I couldn't eat it.

Not sure what happened here but there is no way i would pay full price for what was given to me, (sizing, taste, warmth). Not returning.

Very disappointed with my chicken tikka masala. Too sweet, not enough chicken for a dish that costs £12, the chicken itself was dry and over cooked. Lamb biryani is below average but just about bearable. This is not what Indian food should taste like! Avoid this restaurant as it is over priced and massively underwhelming.

Ordered a chicken tikka masala, lamb biryani and chicken wings. Wings were fantastic, tender and well spiced. The chicken tikka masala was sickly sweet and tasted like a desert. The chicken in it was chewy and dry. Very dissatisfied. The lamb biryani was below average. The rice was over cooked and a bit dry, but lamb was wonderful and tender. Overall my second disappointing experience. I have had an over sweet lamb dish before, this really needs to be fixed!!

Lobster is the worst one. Tarka daal wasn’t proper tarka daal. Chicken jalfrezi was average. Waste of £34

Never too much of an issue with this place. The gent who I spoke to on the phone (on every occasion I’ve ordered) is polite courteous and nothing is ever too much to ask. Honestly will go out of my way to recommend these guys. Food is also FANTASTIC! Thanks! Aimee Grenville Plc :)

The food here was beautifully presented, freshly cooked to order and tasted out of this world.. It was definitely worth the 1-hour round trip to pick it up and the Pan-Asian Kitchen has a large range of items to tickle every taste bud. Long term customer dissappointed. Price was higher than expected but figured that prices must just have risen (Were higer than i'd worked out using the menu). Turns out these were for a Delivery charge (Was not told about this, just added to my bill) , and a 30p Bag charge i also was not told about, but also silently added to my bill. Onto the food , The Curry was good, so was the rice, the naan bread however was very chewy. No idea why as it hasn't been before. Will i be back? Honestly doubtful now, i feel something has changed here , nothing is forever right?

Have been visiting day of the Raj since they were on the Broadway. They are now based in Mill Hill East, still family owned for over 30 years! The food is always amazing! On my last visit I tried the chicken wings, bengal fish special with tarka dhaal and garlic naan and I was blown away with the flavours! Absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to be back! Keep up the great work and food! Highly recommend Tazz

really disappointing, I fancied trying somewhere new so chose to forego the tried and tested good places and though i'd give this place a go. although the name was familiar it was listed as new on just eat. from start to finish most of the food was poor, oily and lacking in freshness. you could smell the oil on the poppadoms so that was a bad start. i won't pick apart the whole meal but lets just say that the Naga was ok, was spicy as i'd hoped and the lamb was well cooked. the low point was the bombay aloo which was completely inedible having been drowned in Ghee with no other discernable taste, all other items were below average

I had just ordered from this takeaway for the first time. I have to say I had one of the best biriyani's I have ever had. It was absolutely exquisite. I had also ordered vegetable samosas as a recommendation and that came out perfect. Thier delivery time was quick and efficient. Definitely coming back.

Ordered Chicken Madras Chicken Curry Chicken Curry was awful, tasted like a jar sauce. So disappointed, used to go there a couple of years ago and was very happy. Chicken Madras sooo hot, it was tasteless. Was looking forward to an Indian meal with a few beers. Such a shame. Would not order there again. Indian curry, don't think so. I have made this Curry with a jar sauce many times. It is called Balti made by Sharwoods!! My opinion of course, but I love Indian food At the same time, very polite customer service.

Outstanding meal delivered. Although clarity on the labels would be appreciated. I know kitchens are a busy place but scribbles on lids took a little working out. The peshwari naan was fantastic. The chicken korma was nice and creamy and the chicken very tasty. Sheek kebab was lovely. Rice portions are perfect. Something that a lot of restaurants either send to much or too little this was bang on. There was a dark dip included with the meal I’m unsure what it was but it was very enjoyable. Will certainly order from here again.

Very disappointed with this meal. Prawn Sizzler has NO PRAWNS just potatoes, carrots and onions! Yet they charged £16.50!This dish hardly worth £3! Certainly not worth £16.50. This is a swizz. Also, chicken dry. We wont be ordering from them again. They used to be much better. Gone downhill.

We had visited the restaurant many times over the years when it was based on Mill Hill Broadway. The Day of the Raj Express is takeaway and delivery only. The same quality of food is available. I have always appreciated the courtesy of the staff and the quality of the food. It is good value for money and well worth giving it a try. We live within the delivery area so do ask if this is more convenient for you.

Enjoyed pretty much all the food that we ordered here. The Muttar Paneer and chicken kushboo were good but needed more spice. The gobi aloo was bland and mushy. All in all, the food was decent for a tandoori restaurant.
