Tony Macaroni in Glasgow City

Have been here couple of times both times food has been amazing I got burger 🍔 and it arrived rapid they don't mess about in here want you eating as fast as possible to get your table back that's how it felt for us but wasn't to obvious ice cream was ammmmzing best had in a while. Don't take my word for it pop in and sample something yourself.

Restaurant located at the Fort Retail Park. Nothing special, unfortunately. Pizza was ok. I had to add quite a bit of pepper to bring about some taste. Chips were undercooked. Price was ok for what it was. Restaurant seemed dark, and despite it being quiet when we arrived, service was slow.

Food was good service could be better

To be honest, I ordered it once before and thought it was average, but I will order it again this time because it sells it at half price in January, so I will try its other products. The pizza is normal, the Risotto is not appreciated, the grilled ribs are good, and the macaroni cheese is the highlight and must be eaten while it is hot. In addition, I ordered two desserts. Because the ladies were so excited and ate them immediately, no photos were taken of them. After the meal, I concluded that the desserts were the best.

Estaba muy emocionado de probar Toni Macaroni por primera vez, sin embargo, esto se interrumpió rápidamente ya que el menú parecía genial, sin embargo, la sopa minestrone no tenía sabor y lo mismo con espaguetis boloñesa - ¿cómo puede ser esto? Para mí la sopa debe haber sido demasiado regada / diluida y no puedo explicar lo que pasó con el spag bol. No pueden tener un chef. No desperdiciaría mi dinero aquí de nuevo - estoy seguro de que debe haber mejor calidad en otro lugar. Lo siento al personal, ya que no me gusta escribir malas críticas, sin embargo, esto estaba destinado a ser una ocasión especial.

Carbonara ridiculously creamy, I had a bug for the rest of my trip and I am not even lactose intolerant, you would've though I was on laxatives.

Went for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Pretty good as far as breakfasts go.

Ate here a few times recently however today’s meal was outstanding. The service from Gambor was outstanding and you can’t beat the price. Amazing!

At the forge retail park in Glasgow for a bit of shopping and decided to have dinner at Toni Macaronis. Decent choice of food and there is a children friendly menu and soft drinks also available. Good wheelchair access from pavement area . Parking is a slight problem in busy periods and you may need to park a short walk away from the facilities. Good table space and seating areas. Try to stay away from the entrance area tables located either side of the entrance as it can get a bit chilly sitting there. Reasonably priced food and drink, definitely worth a visit. Cinema just next door so can catch a movie too.

Estaba bien. Pizza y pasta eran agradables nada especial. Algunos de los empleados parecían no querer estar allí de manera abrupta y antipática. También añadieron un cargo por servicio sin preguntar o informar de antemano solo 3 de nosotros, así que parecía un poco descarado. Hubiera dejado una mejor propina si no hubieran hecho esto.

I was served an under cooked burger, then when they brought the replacement it was over cooked.

First time I’ve been here, menu looked good and food and portions were very good for the price. Service could be a bit quicker, time between starters and mains was a bit longer than I have seen at other restaurants. Overall a franchise I would be happy to go out to again

It’s been years since I’ve visited a TM but I remembered it as being very good so we stopped for a quick lunch and chose from their festive menu £16.95 for two courses. Lovely waitress very polite and friendly and quickly took order. Starter Italian rice ball with turkey and mozzarella was OK but a bit dry. My wife ordered same but didn’t like them at all. Very limp and sickly lettuce leaves as the garnish. We both ordered the lasagne and it looked lovely when it arrived but mine was burnt on the bottom layer of pasta which gave the whole dish a bad flavour. Waitress was very apologetic and insisted to change, and replacement was about ten minutes and was nice enough but I’ve had better lasagne elsewhere. Coffee to finish was good. Waitress took off the 10% service charge from bill and again apologetic. Overall I wouldn’t rush back as standard of food was very generic more like pub grub than especially Italian. They should be grateful for their waiting staff as this was the only redeeming factor of our visit.

Food is spot on and the odd time it isn't the staff are happy to rectify it immediately. There's no rush to order and waiters are always on hand to let you know of specials and ingredients. Nothing is too much bother. If like me you have a fussy child that likes pizza but not too much tomato on the base they will sort it for you. Well done Staff at Tony Macs

We attended for my mums 60th birthday in a large group. The staff were wonderful and so accommodating. Everyone’s food arrived at the same time and was piping hot/delicious. The staff are what makes this place we’ll definitely be back!!

Tony Macaroni burger was pink in the middle and chips were tasteless, had to put loads of salt on them to get any taste. Chicken with rice dish was cold. To top it of they tried to charge a service charge for a table of 3. I know everyone’s taste and expectations differ but on my experience I would defo stay clear of this restaurant. Having said all above, I would like to say that the waiting staff were very friendly and no probs with that

Got a Just eat just want to say the food was absolutely fantastic. 10/10 is the best pizza I have ever had.

Me and a few friends met there for a catch up. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The service was good. We would definitely go back.

Ambos pidieron fuera del menú presto que encontramos una ganga. La lasaña estaba deliciosa y decente porción por el precio. Un montón de opciones en el menú presto también. Servicio al cliente rápido y amigable. Volvería.

Tristemente no fue una gran experiencia, aunque el personal era agradable y comprensivo. Las pizzas estaban secas con un poco de salsa de tomate y queso un poco como queso tostado. ¡Se fue decepcionado!

So I add pepper so all my dishes and my pasta cold and I said it was cold then they said will replace and came back 1-2min later and gave me same one because my dish was covered in pepper because I love my pepper and I called them out saying you just microwaved it and they said no no kitchen doesn’t have a microwave… Will not be back anytime soon Oh yeah and they asked for a tip at the end of my meal haha

Probably the worst eat out I’ve had in a while, arancini was like eating stones. Pizza was ok but I’ll give this a miss going forward.

Love this place, especially when I can get a fish or seafood dish as a lunchtime special. the photo is grilled seabass and spicy spaghetti.

When me and my friends approached Tony Macaroni's we were hesitant to even go in as it looked abandoned and there was no one at the front counter...outer space has more of an atmosphere...that was the tone set for the evening. As we got taken to our table we soon found out that "serve with a smile" was a myth in Tony Macaroni's, and the classic "the customer is always right" swiftly became "The convicts are always wrong". But to be honest I don't expect them to click their heels whenever they have to take my order, but I'd also rather not feel like saying sorry every time I asked for something because they made me feel as if I was a burden. The icing on the cake is that whenever a person who was above the age of 30 walked in, they were handing out smiles like it was nothing (except to us). The food then arrived and it was good...for me at least...Whenever a waiter/waitress would come by the table my friend would politely raise his hand and say excuse me (to ask for parmesan) but just as a man in a 3 piece suit does to a homeless man, they just stared at us out the corner of their eyes and moved away. The blonde lady was quite nice however it seemed as though I had a glowing neon sign above my head, with an arrow pointing down saying "spare prick", cause I was treated as such, waited 35 minutes for a card to pay (also, cheers for the service fee yous added, quite ironic that is). Wasn't as if they were busy, I was surrounded by an ocean of empty seats and saw other people getting parmesan too!! (those who were there). As we finally left, we could finally relax. I do hope to come back...but only if it gets better. I have hope for them to see a better tomorrow, but you know what they say...tomorrow never comes.

No habíamos reservado, pero tuvimos la suerte de conseguir una cabina para 4 para la cena en un viernes por la noche después de una corta espera. Gran y amable servicio de Flávio y el resto del equipo. Menú variado para elegir. Teníamos una mezcla de pizza y pasta. Toda la comida estaba recién hecha y caliente. Pedimos postres y cafés, 2 helados compartidos entre 4 de nosotros. Estaban muy bien presentados con encantador helado suave. No pudimos terminarlos. Un cliente en otra mesa estaba vapeando furtivamente, no así, como podíamos verlo claramente. La ignorancia como esta es inesperada y decepcionante. No creo que el personal lo viera como él trató de vapear cuando estaban en otro lugar. No lo planteamos ya que solo estábamos nosotros y ellos en esa parte del restaurante y no queríamos causar un problema para el personal. Si todavía hubiéramos estado comiendo nuestra comida principal, definitivamente habría dicho algo. En general buena comida, gran servicio y precio en línea con la calidad recibida.

No he estado aquí en años como había comenzado a ir a Lavita, pero los precios en Lavita son escandalosos, así que llevó a mi sobrino aquí para el almuerzo que tenía hamburguesa de pollo con patatas fritas y tuvimos 1 / 2 pizza y pasta cada uno con una porción de patatas fritas de ajo la comida era muy buena y servida fresca y junto con 2 pintas de coca y una dieta bru la cuenta era £ 32 el valor era increíble y el personal era encantador, así que adiós Lavita

Came here for lunch a few weeks ago and had an amazing pasta dish so after having to visit Glasgow Fort again, decided to go for breakfast. It did not disappoint. It was huge and extremely tasty. Would definitely recommend to anyone. The variety of meals on the menu throughout the day would suit anyone. Highly recommended.

Always get great food and reasonably priced, too.

I have to say the food was absolutely awful. I had Bruschetta with pate 'caramelised onion' tomato. First if all the edges of the bread were black burned, the onion wasn't caramelised. My friend had macaroni, which she said tasted like plastic. The only positive was that the service was fantastic. When we payed, we were not asked if everything was OK, hence the review.

Excellent food choices, fair prices, nice friendly staff

I was taken aback by the service charge of £8.95 it is included in the bill. I did speak to the manager to be told it is a the bottom of the bill we could not read because the ink was so faded. I was also told it’s on the menu unfortunately people don’t scan the menu from top to bottom looking for the information please be aware when your ordering and make sure you ask about the service charge before ordering.

I've eaten at tony macaroni in more than one occasion. Tonight was the night that we decided to order it from just eat. I want to specify that the food has always been very nice, albeit too much garlic was put into the risotto or on the pasta. But what worries me more is last time and tonight. Last time (probably or two ago now) I ordered a focaccia with prosciutto Di Parma. The dough was fantastic, the prosciutto wasn't. It looked, smelled and tasted like rottening prosciutto. So I did what all Italians do take it off and eat the rest (I was really hungry at the time). Tonight though has been different. I ordered pizza from just it, from the same restaurant. It arrived on time, the rest of order was as expected and delicious. Just not the Italian sausage that was on my pizza. The best way to describe the taste would as if after a night out, completely and totally drunk ordering a kebab, though that would have probably tasted better. I don't know if you ever had Italian sausage, but I suggest you do, for the best experience get some from Celine's they are simply delicious. The sausage that was on my was not Italian sausage and now is ready to feed the worms in compost bin, because I wouldn't feed it even to my cat. Let's put it this way, I'm definitely not going order anymore from this, and my wife is of the same opinion. Just to specify a couple of things: I'm Italian, I know what good Italian should look, smell and taste like. The food experience from this restaurant is not the Italian experience.

The food took a long time to be served , for the 2 of us and the food we had the bill was outrageous, food wasn’t even worth it , the pizza was flavourless whilst the crust was too salty . Automatic service charge at 10% which again is outrageous , tips should be at the customers discretion. All in all 56 quid for underwhelming food a beer and a Diet Coke . Will not be back

The food is always very good in here and plenty of it, I wouldn't normally order a starter due to the large portion sizes however its a treat Saturday and I was very hungry 😋😀 first time back in a long time and didn't dissapoint. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was due to the added service charge of 10%, I understand why places do this I just prefer to make the decision myself of how much i want to give, depending on the service i receive, which incidently i would have gave at least 10% on this occasion 😀

Quality food at reasonable price and good service

Whilst the restaurant was nice, food was poor - we had a minestrone soup, the breaded mushrooms to start - soup was tasteless, mushrooms were ok. Mains - we had a pizza and cheeseburger - pizza was average and the burger was also bland and tasteless, would not return. For the “presto” prices it was good value, had the food been nice, if it was A la carte prices I’d have been extremely disappointed to say the least. Service was good and everything came quite quickly

Pretty average, with underwhelming food. Not as good as the other Tony Macaroni restaurants in Glasgow, will be going elsewhere next time we're at the Fort.

Went there 7/03/2024 The worse Lasagna I’ve ever had anywhere…. 1st chips were hard, sent them back.. then Lasagna came no meat in it … horrendous. I never complain but told the manager.. He said will have a word with chef.. payed my bill and left…. £46 stay away horrible waste of money………………

The macaroni cheese was horrible, it tasted like butter with clumpy cheese instead of an actual creamy cheese sauce (see pics). Our waitress was very understanding and took the mac off our bill as I’m guessing there has been other complaints. They should really change the sauce recipe and actually use macaroni instead of spirals. Apart from this, the service was great and food came very quick.

Menu said the bruschetta had chopped tomatoes but when it arrived it was halfed cherry tomatoes which was very difficult to eat. The spicy chicken burger was advertised as being served with jalapeños which is why I ordered it but not a single jalapeño piece was in the burger which was dry in places except for the large dollop of sauce at one side of bun. The chips and staff were the only good part.

Burnt pizza stone cold cheesy pasta and risotto which was bland rice with too much pepper. Definitely won't be back.

Good good as always. The waiting service was ok. The staff were nice enough but just hovered around a lot. I wouldn't say that it's typical of a nice Italian restaurant. It's more of a fat food type of place. Good for a lady minute visit for food

Absolutely dreadful meal. Ordered the burger and chips and it was like something you would expect from a burger stand outside a football stadium. Complete waste of money and a waste of time coming here. Service was good and server was polite however won’t be returning

Family of nine went for dinner. Some of the party had pizza which was fine. Most of the other food wasn’t very nice. The macaroni cheese wasn’t macaroni and had weird processed sauce. The lasagna wasn’t nice and the risotto was over cooked , not seasoned and had flakes of uncooked herb. Apart from the pizza - unrecognisable as Italian food.

Place is, too dark. Had to use phone torches to see menu. We had macaroni cheese. The name ismacaroni we got spiral pasta so it was not mac and cheese. The pizza was OK. But the toppings were very sparce. Staff were good.

Went her with my family.The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed it,the carbonara was amazing, I had cheesecake for dessert and again it was delicious.My only complaint was when we went to pay I asked the server to add a tip and she says it’s already been taking off.Is this a thing now.It’s never happened to me anywhere else.Is it not up to me if the food and the service was worth a tip.

Food was good value for money on the lunch menu, good quality, tasty and service was attentive too. Restaurant was clean and tidy, warm and dry. Good selection on the menu and when we went the place was busy but not too busy, so no long waits.

Been many times with my family. Always friendly staff and great food. I personally find the portion sizes are a bit to big. But you are always offered a box to take home any left overs.

It's OK. Food/menu doesn't seem to have changed much in many years! Pretty generic chain food. Floor was messy with dropped food from previous diners. Not an extensive vegetarian menu, and where we were sat, didn't leave much room for my mother's wheeled walking aid. In my opinion, it's a generous 3 ⭐️

Ordered Home Delivery 29.7.23 1 Pasta, 1 Lasagna and 1 Pizza all 3 were not good. Pasta watery, Lasagna overcooked and pizza burnt and very dry. Very disappointed as previous food ordered have been nice. Tried calling restaurant no response.
