Good food and lovely service. Mozzarella sticks were amazing!

This establishment used to be busy years ago however it seems to have taken a massive dip which is really sad. Upon booking a table I was the first customer to arrive in the afternoon, the toilets had no hand wash, most alcoholic beverages were out of stock, the floor was littered with crumbs and food from the previous day. The two women who seemed to be running the place looked like sisters, their body language gave the impression they seemed very unhappy and depressed which is a shame. The restaurant had a very death sentence vibe, the food however arrived super fast (being the only customer) and did taste 10/10. Hope this restaurant can get back on its feet and continue its business at the usual higher standards.

The food was lacking. In that they lacked the food we ordered and then waited half an hour to tell us. They also had none of the six beers the menu said they had on draft or any cider either. Staff seem to not understand wanting enough cutlery for the people seated and also cannot comprehend being asked for a jug of water for the table. The manager appears to be hanging on to his sanity by a thread. Avoid at all costs.

I’m not one to use hyperbole normally, but this was truly awful. Steer clear. I’ll summarise, my family’s lunch time experience in the Glasgow City Centre branch. -Understaffed. It Took 25 minutes to order, the staff were visibly stressed despite the restaurant only being a third full at best. -No pizza dough! We waited best part of an hour for our pizzas only to be told they had no dough! - big slash in the booth seat. Grim vibes So not only did we leave with no lunch and two hungry distraught kids, they had the cheek to charge us for our drinks! This place seems to be on its knees and looks like it won’t last much longer, especially if this is their best offer.

Great service, huge portions and good atmosphere at an excellent price point. We were in Glasgow for the day and tried 2 other Italian restaurants however they were reservation only even though they were half empty, I thought they were joking but Tony Macaroni welcomed us and I'm glad we went. Truly loved the focaccia pomodoro and the Pollo alla Mariescalo which were large and full of flavor, highly recommend this gem

Food was a bit disappointing. Carbonara not much flavour, spaghetti was very al dente. Glad I included peas. A lot of the sauce had leaked out into the bag and the cheesecake was packed with the hot food meaning it was warm and runny.

Walked in to Tony Macaroni on a Tuesday at 1940 and asked for a table. Wah told by a young lady that the kitchen was closed. She kindly motioned towards the kitchen...it's closed.....wth Tomy Macaroni?

I’d just like to say, food and service wise it was perfectly fine. However, this is a genuine question as to why Christmas music is being played in JULY??!!! Please play appropriate music for the season?

This only got a single star because I couldn't give zero....went in today with my young daughter and sister for a quick bite to eat..1 starter , deep fried mushrooms, 2 cheese burgers with chips and 2 Sundaes...never again ... including us there was 2 or 3 other customers in the place ...several members of staff in the kitchen and 3 on the floor...took ages for the food to come, starter was hardly nice to look at...then the cheese burgers came...bland wasn't the word...chips weren't the best...then best of all...Kitchen Staff standing biting his nails in full view..20 minutes wait for the ice cream... decided to just get the bill and leave..looked like no Management in the place..don't waste your time and money...

Rarely eaten such tasteless pasta with meatballs. I would have liked to at least have something to drink, but while our neighboring table was checked four times to make sure everything was okay, my empty glass and the noodles that were slowly getting cold were ignored. However, there was another operator in charge, so maybe the lady with the braces is still learning. It wasn't a bad thing that my friend had to steal a napkin from the next table because we only got one. But a little more attention would have brought more tips.

Food was good and the waitress was nice my only issue was the £7 service charge, bear in mind we are 4, 14/15/16 year old girls going out for a meal, my friend had to put extra money in to cover it as we didn’t have enough and we weren’t given the option to remove the charge.

Does not live up to it"s name! Macaroni ?? Ive seen better come out of a tin! I don"t think there"s an Italian on the premises! Stick to family owned and run Italian restaurants, and not mock chains.

Terrible place we were sat at benches where the material was ripped. The tables were filthy with chewing gum stuck underneath as my daughter found out when she git her dress stuck. The waitress was abrupt but I think that was so to do with her poor English and understanding. The dish my daughter has was good she said it was chicken and creamy past, my son had macaroni cheese but tbe sent out plain pasta we had to ask for cheese. I have the king prawn and saffron risotto which was bland with 4 prawns and very oily. It was so bad I couldn't eat it. We won't be back it was simply awful

Whilst visiting Glasgow I visited, since I regularly get food in the Dundee branch of Tony Macaroni I figured it would be safe and up to the same quality. However the atmosphere of the restaurant was gloomy and almost slummy, it was dim and damp. The service was alright though the staff were dressed in a casual t-shirt and a pair of ripped jeans. The food was bland and served sloppily - in comparison to Dundee it was just awful.

came here after a major stomach surgery looking forward to being able to try a small pizza like I used to have a year ago. Staff looked no older than 20, not even a smile when we walked in. Showed to our table with no words and left. When they came back asked for our drinks my boyfriend ordered a water and me an orange juice. I inquired about the kids menu and got a laugh and a “you’re not under 8, it’s for kids only”. feeling a bit humiliated I explained I couldn’t eat anything on the main menu due to the size. The girl asked “why”. (Something you should never ask in restaurants/retail). I explained I have had stomach surgery to which she, and I kid you not, offered me a half portion (at full price) but only of pasta. Something I cannot eat. when I seemed shock she just smiled and shrugged. A total lack of care for anything. My boyfriend got his lasagna, it was for lack of a better word disgusting. drenched in sauce and water. And my orange juice was toasty warm. please avoid this restaurant and its staff at all costs. I feel horrified at this branch. If you’re still after it, the fort is a *much* better Toni macaroni branch.

We all had really tasty pizzas, these came quick, we all really enjoyed them and the price was brilliant! The service was friendly and quick. We couldn't fault it. We also had a great table, a booth at the window to people watch.

Has awful rubbery halloumi fries and service was slow. Don't recommend even as a last resort.

Had spicey chicken breast today. I have to say it was one of the best meals ever. My wife had salmon with crispy skin and mash and she said hers was amazing especially the potatoes. It looked just amazing. A great meal around 3pm and great service and drinks. Thank you all so very much. 😁

Its was not a nice place walls were dirty tables were not great the garlic bread was like fried bread the mac n cheese was not mac n cheese it was pasta with runny gooey sauce the chips were undercooked.. deffo will not be back

I am big fan of all the Toni Macaroni chain. They do really great pizza and Italian food. Great cocktails too. This one is centrally located in Glasgow but perhaps lacks a little of the atmosphere some other branches have but still a good and fun place to eat.

Went here for a quick bite to eat after work - wasn’t expecting 5 star dining but was not expecting it to be as poor as it was. Place was quite empty with nice booths sitting empty and we were sat in a very small table in the corner. Ordered food and drinks which was fine. Should’ve known when our food only took 4/5 mins to come out. The chicken risotto was on a spread out on a plate normally risotto would come in a pasta bowl or serving dish not a standard pizza plate. It was just dry rice with very little watery sauce poured over. It had no flavour and was very poor. The Cajun pasta I think had been microwaved as some pieces of pasta were dry and crunchy at the sides while others were very soft and others very al dente. Had a side of onion rings as well. Didn’t taste like onions though tasted more like mash potatoes in onion ring form and were very mushy. Very disappointing. The waitress was nice enough to take all the food off the bill and let us only pay for drinks as we hadn’t even made a dent in our food and was not planning on eating anymore of it. She didn’t even seem shocked by what we had said seems like she’s heard it quite a bit. Sad but won’t be back

The portion sizes where a disgrace. My daughters kids portion was bigger than my pasta dish. Pasta with 0 meat is literally the cheapest thing on the menu and they gave us about 8 bits. Full price menu for lunch time as well. When I spoke with the waiting staff, they argued with me about it. Eventually returned it to the kitchen who then growled at me the entire time I was there. Won't waste my time coming back here. Plenty of other affordable better quality small businesses to spend your money at than this hell hole. Dreadful service and medicore food. AVOID

Service atrocious place was pretty much empty. Server had attitude problem. Dessert menu said nardini ice cream. Which is a lie came straight from a tub disgusting yellow trash. Used to be a great place. Never again

I didn’t receive what I ordered and the food was ruined

We went to lunch and the food wasn't good at all. It was barely hot and the time it took between ordering and receiving the food wasn't even 10 minutes. My food tasted like it was reheated and it was very sloppy. Tony macaroni is really good but this branch really let their standards down

Starters were lovely, but 3 out of 4 main course dishes were wrong. The gluten free pasta came out with no chillies and tasting bland, they came back and said they had no pork so would chicken do? That was agreed but it came out with a mustard sauce instead of a mushroom sauce. The vegetables came out in a different dish. Waiter constantly tried to say that it was a mushroom sauce. They asked was it mashed potatoes or chips with a three pepper sauce chicken then brought out only the potatoes. We had to ask for the rest of the meal which was brought out 10 minutes later with a black pepper sauce. An extra fish meal which wasn't asked for was delivered and extra olives. Staff didn't seem to have a clue. It wasn't even that busy. Definitely won't be back here. I am a regular at the Motherwell restaurant and have never known the food to be so bad or the service

This location was amazing! We had a lovely sized portion of food, every staff member made it an experience and were so patient with us. We appreciate their kindness and support as we can be nervous diners! I loved the decorations and quality of food also. I recommend this place to all, and fully look forward to visiting again soon.

Very dated atmosphere, inappropriate music for clientele, food mediocre and not worth the money. I had 4 mozzarella sticks, 5 mushrooms followed by a prawn pasta which was ok and a tasteless, watery contadina. Staff only appeared to bring food. No attempt to ask if food was ok. Also paid £8 for a glass of wine which was roasting but no staff to approach.

On arrival we were greeted by a lovely hostess but she didn't leave her name. The place was clean and busy, but the service was slow and lacked fun, nobody asked if we had any allergies, when we got the food it was placed on the table not advised plates are hot (other places warn guests of hot dishes) the food lacked flavour and was missing sides ie chips or garlic bread. No check backs done. Left feeling unhappy but we won't be back

Whilst away on business, I decided to order a Deliveroo from here of Gluten Free Penne Pomodoro and a side of chips. Whilst the takeaway didn't take long to arrive, I'm afraid to say the quality of the food was diabolical: the Pomodoro sauce had more oil than in the river Clyde! The sauce was literally swimming in it and as a result, the sauce had completely lost its flavour. To add to insult, the chips were undercooked. I'm frankly shocked that such basic dishes could be so badly done, and I think this establishment needs to look at their chef team and retrain them in the basics. Upon speaking to the restaurant directly to give them feedback they didn't care: they were more interested in continually explaining they were very busy with at the end a very hollow, insincere apology. They may be one of the cheaper restaurants in the city compared to others but the food leaves a lot to be desired. I'd encourage you to try Glasgow's many other excellent restaurants and as a result, I won't be ordering from here again.

Today I visited The silverburn site.I got overcooked macaroni Slightly warm bread which was suppose to be toasted. When I complained the waiter argued that reason for bread being warm was because it was toasted in Pizza oven. The macaroni he felt nothing was wrong with it saying it was the same standard in all Tony Macaroni sites. I could not understand why he became so defensive was totaly hostile towards my self. Doubt I be visiting any Toni Macaront again if what I recived in food and service today is their best standard to top.it all we had a service charge added to the bill.

Not authentic Italian cuisine. They came back to see me twice to retake my order because items were missing. No campari for cocktails, impossible to accommodate if it only has items on the menu. No services, you have to be patient.

Lunch with family at Toni’s and it was terrible. Minestrone soup was like dishwater with cabbage/broccoli and carrots and served with stale bread!! Tomato and basil soup was like passata and no hint of basil!! Orders were also mixed up and had to ask for cutlery. Prices do not reflect the standard of the food!! Used to be regulars at this restaurant- not any more!!

Best lasagne I've had in ages. Tasty, hot and well presented. Excellent service and, for the city centre, amazing value. Fair wine prices too.

Came here as Tony macaroni Belfast is out of this world but unfortunately the flavourless pasta would not attract a return. Was seated next to crying children when we just wanted a romantic night before the gig we were attending

Went for lunch with my teenage son last week. It was a last minute decision to have lunch before going home. We were seated and served very quickly. My pizza was delicious and my son enjoyed his pasta. We will definitely go again.

The staff are beyond nice and friendly which makes a family meal with kids a much better experience

This was a lovely family dinner, meal & service were excellent but I think we'd booked on Teen night. There were numerous tables of kids likely aged 14-18 who were all very well behaved but as you'd expect, pretty noisy so it made it difficult for us to hear our own conversation at times. I'd maybe suggest cordoning off an area for these guys, I think it's great they have somewhere to go (and buy 2 starters between 8 😂) but maybe creating a little divide would help everyone enjoy the space. I do also have to mention that the toilets are dreadful and in serious need of a refurb, as is the carpet (which is sticky) in the stairwell to the toilets. But that can't be helped by the staff who were all fabulous.

Please save yourself the disappointment. There are lots of lovely restaurants in Glasgow, and this is not one of them.

Absolutely disgusted and appalled at the service here I ordered the penne arrabbiata which tasted fine until I got to the last few bites of the meal and found a finger nail in a bite I had took of the pasta (I am a terrified of germs)I spoke to four different members of staff for them to first try and convince me that there was nothing in it or implied that it must have been me who had put it there I offered to pay half price of what the pasta had costed and they would not have it they only took two pound of the meal which I should not of had to pay a penny for. I am a young girl and I can guarantee that an old person would not have had to pay for this meal. Disgusted.

Poor service,had to send my lasagne back plate of absolute mush, waitress had bandage on her finger with extra protective covering and very poor attitude. Starter was edible. Unfortunately not enough staff on to provide a good and efficient service.

Toni Macaroni burger was plain and simple, a Mcdonald burger tastes better. The pizza was ok. The place needs a bit of restoration. The service was good

The food is inedible and too expensive. The prawns cocktail was the worst in my life - 4 small prawns in a huge amount of disgusting sauce and small slice of an old cucumber for 8,95£ 🙄 Never again!

Visited Sunday 14th January 2024 This was my first visit to this restaurant and will be my last. I ordered 1/2 baby rack ribs with chips and coleslaw, chorizo pizza . Firstly the food came to the table too fast for being cooked. I returned the ribs as they didn’t smell right I scraped the sauce off the ribs and they looked disgusting patches of black and silvery grey slimy parts over the whole ribs. I cut into them some parts pink and no coleslaw on plate either. The chorizo pizza my friend managed to find one piece through the full pizza. The waitress serving had very long hair which wasn’t tied back in a bobble also going in and out the kitchen area ,and kitchen staff not seen wearing head hats or nets. The photos show ribs after I scraped off sauce.

Went with my boyfriend on Monday night this week. The service was ok to start. The food was horrible the starter had no taste to them. We had both ordered pasta mine came out under Cooked and when my boyfriend bought this to the server's attention they then decided to avoid us for 30 minutes till they finally came to ask if we wanted the bill. Me and my partner both have worked in hospitality for a long time and the serve we reserved was horrible. If that happened where we worked there would be a serious conversation about it. Overall I wouldn't be going back as that is overall bad management and horrible customer service.

I would say that this was my worst ever experience in a restaurant. I attended with my 2 teenage daughters. When we arrived we were told that our table was not ready and we would be seated upstairs, no problem with that, when we were seated it was as if they just put two tables together in the corner at different heights. Ordered drinks then 3 main meals, main meals came before the drinks and I had to remind them that we had ordered drinks, pasta was cold on all 3 plates, how can this be, surely they test them for heat before serving, then to compound matters they put a surcharge on the bill. I have told people and they have asked did you complain, no i didnt and I dont expect to go to a City Centre restaurant to complain in front of my 2 daughters. If the restaurant wants a tip on how to run a restaurant, take a trip along to Coias Cafe on Duke Street, night and day of a different experience.

A very well organised relaxing venue ,very tasty food & all the staff very happy to help lovley place.

Food nice and value for money, but as it says on the tin. Steak and chips is steak and chips no mushroom/tomato or salad for example. Restaurant and toilets dated and need refurbishment, sticky carpet. Staff pleasant and worked hard to get all food out together on a big party.

Macaroni cheese was tasteless. Runny sauce mixed in with pasta. No cheese on top. No garlic bread or chips included in the price. No one came back to ask if we wanted another drink. Waited 30 minutes for someone to come and clear the table and ask for the bill. Ended up having to go downstairs and ask for the bill. Very disappointing. Would not go back.

We booked as a large party for a Xmas lunch. We were seated with menus including Xmas lunch options. We had a drinks order taken during which we were advised certain beer was unavailable. Around 20 to 30 minutes after being seated our server came to take our food order, this is when we were advised there was no turkey and there was a dessert unavailable. We asked for the manager who looked like he was giving the server in to trouble and then very reluctantly came to our table only to make us feel that it was out fault that a food delivery hadn't arrived. All we suggested was that we should have been told what was not available when we sat down. We then had to ask him to tell our other tables what wasn't available - turkey, so no Xmas lunch option or festive pizza and no sticky toffee pudding. We go back to our menus. Our lovely, polite, server comes back, asks what we would like and we jokingly ask what isn't available to which we are told there is only one steak! Yes, things happen, deliveries are delayed but the communication and attitude of the manager was terrible! Another table of 2 actually left because they had been ignored completely l

Table of 12 pre panto meal . This place needs to seriously look at it pricing. All food was perfectly edible if not spectacular but £17 for 2 x 175ml glasses of prosecco! Kids Mac and cheese ( for 6 year old ) 8£ . Basic pasta penne pasta £15. Go to di maggios instead . Piss taking prices for stuff I could rattle up better in my kitchen.

Attended for the Christmas set meal on Friday night. I had the bruschetta, could even cut through the bread it was that chewy and it was just chopped tomatoes and balsamic thrown on top. Gnocchi was okay but not very well presented or tasty. Toilets were not the nicest, I'd have expected a lot better from a nice establishment. Having looked at my receipt today they have also charged me £9.75 for an 'Optional Service charge' I don't believe it is optional if no-one tells you about it in the 1st place. 1st and last time visiting Toni Macaroni's.

My family had a pre-panto meal here and I have to say it was all very disappointing. The food was mediocre, staff were inattentive and unsure of what we could order and one of the options from the special festive menu was unavilable. When I asked to speak to the manager to report the condition of the female toilets, I was simply told that my concerns would be passed on. Not waht I would expect of a restaurant from such a well known chain!

All dishes cold despite driver being prompt.

Family day in Glasgow so decided to go for lunch. After 20 minutes we finally had a server. We ordered drinks and food, which felt very rushed. After another long wait, the food arrived.I asked for bbq sauce to be told that would be at an extra cost which was fine. i took a bite of the cheese burger and felt a long hair. I didn’t want to make a fuss so took another bit only to find another. I asked the Manager over and explained the situation. He promptly lifted the plate and walked away!! Not once did he ask if i wanted to reorder or even apologise. Then a waiter appeared with the bbq sauce? Not a good experience at all!!! Won’t be back!!!

Town was very busy with first weekend of Christmas and the staff were rushed and working hard, but the restaurant was freezing cold and draughty, service was slow and the food was cold when it arrived - was probably hot when it left the kitchen but the place was so, so cold. Food itself was ok, but there far better alternatives nearby.

Good food at very reasonable priced, but very much spoiled by poor and surly customer services. The restaurant was quiet when our walking group (6 people) visited. Slow to take order and got drinks order wrong. When we came to pay point blank refused to split the bill, saying there were six of us (we had visited threw weeks before with eight and they were happy to help). In these days of card payment our group struggled to sort out prices, trying to arrange change etc. Of course we deducted the gratuity and demanded exact change - so the staff's surly behaviour cost them the gratuity plus our usual supplementary tip. We would have understood if the place had been busy - but the staff were pretty much hanging around idle. So, great food, but if you want polite and helpful service, Tony Macaroni's is just not the place for you!

My friend and called in last night. Both ordered at the same time ..Her food arrived my didn't. Waited another 10mins for an undercooked salmon which was returned to the kitchen . Sadly I ate 2 small pieces before I saw the raw pieces in the center. Been unwell all night. So if u get the salmon check it carefully before eating .

Booked a table for 4. We were sat upstairs. No one took our drinks order for 25m. We then ordered food. Which took a while to come and seemed reheated quickly. We had to ask for forks. Had to ask three times for our side of chips which didn't come until we were waiting on the bill. Not really any service and its not to fault the man working upstairs but he obviously needed some help as it was too busy for one person. Numerous tables were complaining to management. Food was average better off going to smaller Italian places in the city centre as you don't get value for money here.

Staff were very nice and polite.Food not what I expected.The macaroni was very watery and not very cheesy.Have paid much less for m7ch nicer macaroni in pubs.

Been a customer for over 5 years both dining in and take away but over the last year take away is disgraceful pizzas missing extra buffalo cheese Margherita hardly any cheese Carbonara nothing like carbonara.phone to complain hang up constantly or give excuses.will be my last penny ever spent in George street Glasgow branch which has been franchised out to cowboys stay clear and spend your money elsewhere customer service your having a laugh.

Food is frozen cold. Estimated delivery was correct but the pizza and pasta are frozen. Food is expensive as it is from here at least make it hot on delivery. Won’t be ordering again

IT: ristorante molto carino, ambiente confortevole, buona scelta di piatti per i vegetariani. La cucina è la classica italiana per turisti, ma la pasta per lo meno ha una buona cottura (anziché essere stracotta). La Aglio, olio e peperoncino è diversa dalla classica ma comunque un buon piatto. Le pizze offrono la scelta del formaggio vegano, la base penso sia precotta, non è una napoletana ma comunque la migliore che abbia mangiato in Scozia. Punto aggiuntivo per il personale di dala, molto attento e italiano quindi facile comunicare con loro se non siete abituati all'accento glasgoniano. EN: a really nice restaurant with a good choise for vegetarian. Is the classic italian restaurant for tourist but the pasta was well done (instead of overcooked). Oil and hot pepper spaghetti is different from the classic one but is a really nice dish. There's vegan choise for mozzarella on pizza, probably the base was pre cooked but, so far, best pizza i've had in Scotland.

This was for an office lunch. Food was late, so we called to see when we were getting our delivery. We were told there were no "Just Eat" drivers available & couldn't give us a time. We tried again to call, but nobody answered. Myself and another member of staff went to collect it from the restaurant only to arrive and be told it had left already. They had our numbers to call and let us know, but there was no communication. This took up the whole of our lunch break and some. Resulting in us (the office) getting into trouble. By the time we got the food it was cold and rubbery. They had obviously tried to reheat it before it was sent. Very unhappy with the whole service. Won't be ordering from here again as it was unedible.

First time here however will definitely return. Took my grand daughter in to meet her other gran as she lives quite far and can no longer drive so a bit of a special occasion. My grand daughter picked the venue as she has been before...

The worst experience I’ve ever had. The margarita was so awful the cheese was not even fully melted. Would not recommend at all. The staff was also poor.

Service was really quick and food was delicious. If you are looking for something quick, no fuss and tasty look no further. Chicken was amazing. Service and staff lovely. I try and come here whenever I'm in Glasgow

Food is okey, other places have it better. But the service needs to be improved. A young girl was serving me and my mum, had black hair and a phone in her back pocket, was not welcoming or nice at all. All me and my mum done is order food, but we received very hostile attitude thrown at us. Never coming back. What a shame 👎🏼

Worst minestrone soup I have ever had. It look unappetising and had no taste. Young server didn't appear to be bothered when told. Main course was tasty and warm. Toilets were relatively clean, however none of the toilets which had toilet paper holders had any in them and all paper was on shelf. Hand dryer didn't work and no paper towels were supplied.

At Tony Macaroni in downtown Glasgow, my experience was unfortunately far from satisfactory. I ordered mussels with garlic bread, largely because it seemed to be one of the few options that wasn't fried or akin to junk food. The presentation was disappointing: the mussels were crowded onto a small plate, with no side dish for the empty shells, rendering the meal mediocre at best. On a slightly positive note, the dish was not overly salted, which I appreciated. However, the service left much to be desired. I requested hot water with lemon and was served cold water with a slice of lime instead. Overall, I can't say I'd recommend the experience.

The staff were friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and a nice size. It was very quiet though for a Friday night at 6.30pm, so not much of an atmosphere.
