I am giving 5-star service because of your amazing waitress Niamh! In a busy lunch hour she was still smiling, she was still happy to help. The restaurant was fully booked and instead of saying NO we are fully booked, she tried her best to find me a table and give me an amazing experience. Thank you so much, Niamh! Modern style café with a friendly and quick service. The breakfast is very tasty. The café sits next to popular tennis courts. Free parking is a challenge in the popular West End. The café is not too far from the Great Western Road, this means, getting there is quite easy.

Food took so long me and my friend waited over 3 mins for our order while people were server before us.

Very nice staff and setting but food was not if a good standard. Focaccia was still part undercooked and pasta served was over cooked and gloopy. Prices charged were high for the quality of food served. I don't think may Italians would call this authentic Italian food

Enjoyed our lunch - my cajun chicken was fab. Thank you chef. Waitresses were super n service was great. Was running for bus and friendly waitress made sure she got the bill sorted, flagged down the bus for me and saw me off. Was very impressed. Well done . Enjoyed my experience..

Chanced upon this lovely restaurant after a couple of nights stay at nearby hotel in Devonshire Gardens. The staff were very friendly and helpful (particularly for me with my food allergies) and the food was delicious. If I’m in this area again I’ll be making a beeline for this place as I’d love to try their lunch/dinner menus. Well worth a visit.

13 January 2024 I have just left Caffè Parma. I was simply having a glass of wine with friends on this occasion, still the same goid vibe and friendly staff. Tomorrow morning, like most Sundays, I'll meet a friend for superb coffee and one of the best croissants in Glasgow. Since my last review I have had several lunches - same as ever - excellent. 5 November 2023. The review below still stands. This morning I had breakfast. I was being good so croissant rather brioche bacon bun! I have also had several lunches recently. As good as ever. ORIGINAL REVIEW Caffe Parma is a continuation of one of the best Italian kitchen traditions in Glasgow - a city in which there is no little competition - think Parmagiano and Paperinos. The location is a most pleasant spot in the north West End. More vital is the food. Genuine regional cuisine, sometimes with a little twist. A changing menu to banish boredom, with a monthly Italian regional selection. A carefully chosen, knowledgeable wine list that is not just value for money but very high quality. And the fifth star is totally earned by the staff, front of house and in the kitchen. Bravissimo!!! Caffè Parma came out of the Covid lockdowns etc well. It seemlessly brought back its marvelous combination of excellent food, good vibe and the ever superb staff, front of house and kitchen. I can also now recommend their breakfasts. Great coffee, some of the best croissants in the West End and various hot dishes, eggs + and for real West Enders, brioche buns with bacon or links sausage. Since I last posted a friend had a birthday celebration for about 20. Wonderful reception on the terrace, bubbles and then a superb lunch. Really relaxed occasion, loads of chat, laughter, craich, and that service! I go a lot so the other stuff I ticked relates to a lunch I had about 3 weeks ago.

Not very excited about the place although it is usually fully booked at the weekend. It seems that the staff is so overworked, they have no time to positively interact. May it is just my personal experience. Food wasn't great either. Sorry but just reflecting on my personal experience.

I’ve been here a few times now as it’s a very handy location to where I live & have used it a few times to link up with clients & friends. Unfortunately that will be the last time. On the whole, the staff are very friendly the food is ok but what leaves me with a stinker is the attitude of who I would assume is the owner. An older gentleman, seems very friendly to selective clientele. It seems that if you don’t look like a “Rich West Ender” he will walk by without as much as an acknowledgment but will stand at the table next to you laughing heartily and joking with customers that appear well off. I like to eat my food in peace but a small “hello, how is your food going” is acceptable customer policy. Three times this has happened & with this type of ignorance there is no way that I can put my money in this guys pocket. People like that seem to forget that money is money & customer care is a quality that should be a priority in a business. I thought it was just me that noticed that but when my guests mentioned it I knew this was an issue . He’s obviously got a bad attitude & I really feel for the staff that work there if that’s how he acts towards paying customers I can only imagine what he is like towards them. On the contrary, there’s a girl who going by look I can assume is related to him- she is the opposite & very helpful but unfortunately it’s him that ruins my eating experience. I will never be back

Fabulous meal. Staff were so attentive and helped to make our evening relaxed and enjoyable evening. Everything was delicious. Will definitely be back again.

My daughter and I had an impromptu meal at Cafe Parma. We shared a pizza and a couple of side dishes. As per, the food was delicious and the atmosphere very relaxing. Lovely evening.

Pricey but delicious food and great service. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys proper Italian food.

28 September 2023 @ 1740 hours. Dear Caffè Parma team. My first visit to Caffe' Parma meeting friends from New Zealand. Fantastic food, fantastic service. We all had beef Tagliatelle with Garlic bread delicious and you're cappuccino coffee was the best Thank you Caffe' Parma team

Great location. Friendly and efficient sevice. Casual lunch was excellent with Calamari tender and crisp perfect tempura. Prawns and avocado well presented and delicious Over all, to be highly recommended.

Best service from any restaurant this year. Thank you, girls. The food was excellent. Among the meals we had were, Calamari fritti, Fritto misto, Chicken Milanese and some pasta dishes. Each dish was perfectly cooked. A wonderful dining experience.

Had a lovely evening last night with friends. Food was delicious, staff attentive and pleasant. Thoroughly enjoyed my evening.

Lovely venue! Not massive on Italian myself but enjoyed the food! Nice atmosphere! Staff very attentive! Standard pricing for that area of the west end of Glasgow. Would visit again.

Went here for the first time recently as heard good things. Lovely restaurant in a nice location in an area i know well. Service was good, friendly helpful and efficient. I don't like super fast service as i like to relax and take my time so this was ideal. Waitress wasn't knowledgeable on whisky but was happy to find out for me what was available. A spirits menu would have been useful. The food was good. Deep fried squid with a dip which was delicious and not at all greasy. My main was squid ink pasta with mixed seafood. Again delicious. Pasta well cooked and contained mussels, white fish, a large scallop and squid. I didn't order a dessert. I felt the portion size was a touch small though. I walked home which took 25 minutes and i felt hungry when i got in which is very unusual and i don't have a huge appetite. It is also expensive compared to other Italian restaurants but that is down to local and ambience, both of which are great. Would i go back? Service and food were good so probably but i would order something more substantial next time.

We found this purely by chance as it was just around the corner from our hotel. So we popped in for lunch before going on to explore Glasgow, which we were visiting for the first time. My wife had a salad with hot smoked salmon and I had a risotto with prawns, tomato and nduja. We were both more than pleased as I rate my risotto as the best risotto outside of Italy. As a result we ended up going back for dinner where we both had excellent pasta dishes, lasagne and Tagliatelle with ragu. In fact, on the next two evenings we went back for a nightcap. On the last evening the owner came over to chat with us; he is a native of Parma and was a most charming person.

Despite reading some mixed recent reviews I booked a table for dinner as this was one of my girlfriends favourite restaurants prior to Covid. Food was good if unremarkable, probably priced above the flavour & quality on offer, but it was still a good dinner & was probably matched what I was expecting. Starters: Bruschetta, nice but toast was a little burnt & would have been better with some extra seasoning. Calamari, again nice but some bits very chewy. Mains: Linguine Vongole, nice but served a little cold. Chicken Milanese, pretty good, couldn't really fault it. This is right between a 3-4/5. The restaurant is in a lovely spot, overlooking the tennis courts. I will be back sometime.

Our first time here a very popular restaurant it was very busy with young and older diners. The staff very attentive and helpful, young girl gave my wife a cushion as we hadn't realized when booking outside some chairs are high which wasn't comfortable for her, as it was full to capacity this time, we will ensure we ask for low seating. Staff apologize for this but we totally understood the situation. The owner poured our wine and was ensuring that we were enjoying the meal. It was situated overlooking a tennis club, and the restaurant has a very good vibe and social mix that works well. On a sunny day it's a great place to relax. Myself and my wife have traveled extensively in Italy and have experience of fine dining, and excellent service, and we certainly highly recommend this fabulous restaurant. The food was to a high standard and we will return soon.

A local for us,nothing beats a glass of wine on the terrace overlooking the tennis! Invariably we order food, though usually that's not why we went in....the aroma of roasting garlic is smelt all the way from our home, so it would be rude not to partake. Staff ate always pleasant and professional and manage to find a wee spot in the sunshine. Our favourite dish is the tagliatelle bolognaise and rosemary focaccia and we also like the small plates and mozzarella sticks!

Lovely relaxed atmosphere, we did half & half - cacio pepe & Cajun chicken calzone, both superb. Also mozzarella sticks to start - yum!

My husband and I went there, we ordered pizza, salmon salad and coffee. The food was delicious. The service staff was very good.

I was out for dinner at Caffe Parma. The Chicken Cacio Pepe Salad which I ordered was absolutely covered in salt, making it impossible to eat, so I left it and called the waitress and explained my concerns to her. She said she would tell the kitchen staff about it and asked me if I wanted anything else. I said I cannot have anything else as the taste of salt was all over my mouth. I literally needed to drink liters of water to dilute it. She brought me the bill only to find that I was fully charged for the Chicken Cacio Pepe Salad which was covered in salt and not edible. I was shocked at such lack of care and of course I will never set foot again in this place.

A real hidden treasure. Food was outstanding and would recommend the place to everyone I low know.

Visited for breakfast and really enjoyed it. Had the granola along with a roll and sausage. Trying to balance the diet there. Both were brilliant and would have both again. My wife had the poached eggs with avocado and loved it. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Will be back.

This is a very nice restaurant in the heart of Hyndland, a quiet and niche neighbourhood in Glasgow. The atmosphere is homely but sophisticated. Food is great, particularly if you like sharing or you go out with a group, since portions are generous and there is so much variety! The menu changes over time and there are the specials of the day. Be careful as pizzas are filling and big!

Food was good. I'd say it was too large and we could've shared. But, we also didn't need to have a starter. Would go back

If you don’t book, please don’t go. We felt terrible because we arrived there and we saw an empty table, with no reservation sign on it, so we seated. And then somebody came and asked if a person had put us on the table or we had seated by ourselves and told we couldn’t be there, unless we had the meal for one hour, because the table was supposed to be available in one hour. So we ordered and ate everything in a hurry with our children, we couldn’t get any dessert and plus feeling like we were the wrong ones to have seated in an empty place. Terrible experience.

I would give more stars for service but I'm limited to 5. We had an excellent lunch there. The food was great and not too expensive. I loved the half portion option too. Great for those who can't eat a full portion , like our 95 year old aunt who was visiting with us. Overall a great experience 😊

Out today for a walk and decided to go in for coffee/scone. Well what can I say... absolutely delicious, coffee was really nice, and scone was hot. Service was with a smile and very attentive. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely lunch, service was quick, food was fresh and well presented. It is a good location to enjoy some people watching as lots of windows and looking out on a busy street and into an outdoor tennis court.

An absolutely horrid experience this evening served by a manager by the name of maria. Owner not present. Rushed out, lights turned off above our heads with 15 minutes to go, food took forever and when it did eventually arrive it wasn't nice. I had a bit of my gamberoni and then returned it. The manager I repeat was ridiculously rude. Initially had to be called to take our order despite the restaurant being quiet. And to make it even better, in the end, the girl in the bar began making a huge racket with the ice bucket and when clearing up, again, a sign that they were in a rush to get us out. I can't emphasise again, just how rude the manager was. Will not be going back and I suggest anyone reading this, finds a better Italian restaurant in Glasgow which there are plenty.

Lovely food, nice atmosphere, one of my favourite places to eat in the west end.

We had a lovely pasta dish in this rather pleasant bistro. When I showed my wife the message about upset stomach she became afraid. Perhaps before posting serious stuff medical evidence is best or direct complaint to owners.We enjoyed penne with Italian sausage and a Tortelli. They were good and with a little Chianti even better.

Food was nice Unfortunately the waitress with the blonde pony tail was incredibly rude and cold.

Second time I’ve been and unfortunately on both occasions given the worst table which is on the right hand side at the end of a small corridor. Service is very slow because staff can’t see you. Table was very scruffy (needs to be upcycled/table cloth). Also, that area was full of flies which was very annoying. However, food was very good and reasonable. Just not a great overall experience.

Attended for evening meal with friends where I can only say all 4 of us were very disappointed. Food was average, staff not engaging and appeared to not have any customer interest , training would be advantageous . Felt pretty expensive for what was overall on offer. We were not advised premises closes at 1030pm ! Only realised this by lighting being dimmed . Disappointed!!!

Wonderful Italian cappuccino and croissants

Very slow service and exceptional rudeness ruin a pleasant local hang out. I took a friend here for lunch today and she came away in tears. The service is always slow, even on a day with few filled tables and only an order of coffee and cake, but usually it's worth overlooking that little annoyance as the atmosphere and outdoors area is very pleasant on a sunny day and the staff, if a little slow, are none the less very friendly. The female manager during the week days is charming and kind. Today however the experience with the man running service was awful. He was downright rude to my friend and told her if she wanted 'fast' food she should go to MacDonald's...This frankly shocking comment came when she dared to ask how long her scone ( it was sitting on the bar table) would be after over a 20 minute wait. This wait in of itself may not have caused her to feel impatient with the service had she not already waited 30 minutes for one piece of bread to go with her soup, which was cold by the time it arrived. The male server then asked her if she expected to be served before everyone else, which seemed to be a quite preposterous attempt at trying to guilt her out of raising an entirely mild mannered complaint. The food is nice, not exceptional, but nice. I have been a frequent customer to this point mainly because it's a friendly local spot for a nice coffee and a chat. The level of unnecessary rudeness to my friend and the fact this slow service has been remarked upon time and again by other friends and colleagues has encouraged me to write a review I would rather have left unsaid. A customer is entitled to some level of respect however. A soup, salad and a cake from the bar ought not to take 2hrs to serve, ever. It most especially shouldn't come with insults and sarcasm when that time is remarked upon. The man in question is usually a friendly person but soured in a flash. I always fight the corner for waiting staff at restaurants as I know it's a tough job keeping customers happy and the food and wine flowing smoothly, but rudeness this extreme in customer service is absolutely unforgivable and I hope the person in question was just having an off day. I know we can all have those. They did say they were understaffed today and perhaps this stressed him but this doesn't account for the slow service more generally every other day, unless they are permanently understaffed, nor in any way excuse the incivility. My friend was polite in raising her question re the delay. There was no bad behaviour atall on her side, no raised voice, no cutting remarks, which makes the response all the more shocking. I can still barely believe it came out his mouth... "If you want fast food you should go to MacDonald's " Wow, just wow.

It's eternally popular. But I suspect it's location and the ability to be seen that serves it well. Whilst I have never had a bad meal here, the food rarely sparkles and the prices have climbed way ahead of their competitors. You could genuinely eat cheaper and better on the canals of Venice than on the streets of the west end.

Visited last Sunday and both had 3 course lunch - main course was a chicken dish. Around 4/5hrs later both of us were sick and could only put it down to our meal as we both had the same. We both have strong stomachs; something was clearly off!! Locals to area, and won’t be returning…..tried Devonshire yesterday - food quality different class.

Last visit was very disappointing . Really regretted it as a venue for a guest . Cold meatballs by way of cicchetti amongst some others . Perhaps not in the microwave long enough ? Absolute age for three pasta dishest to arrive ( 59 minutes)...

Food was good but they can train up the management staff especially a blonde woman that works there...from the start of when we arrived just had a bad attitude. Wouldn't be returning back too soon to this place. Felt I wasn't welcomed as we were a group of 10plus people.

4 people went for late lunch on Saturday. We waited a very long time to have our orders taken. We were served house wine as they had no pinot grigio, we were told it was of a similar wine, we also ordered rose wine which looked like a blush. Both wines were the worst wines we have ever had, we were all very disappointed in the wine and the length of time taken to order our food

We've eaten at Caffe Parma several times, as a couple, with friends and with family. As others have said, if you want somewhere to sit and have a glass of wine or a coffee in the sun it's a great spot and you can watch...

Once the food arrived it was lovely but we waited over an hour for it!!

We loved the food. My linguini Vongole was amazing. I think my wife's muscles could be a little more plentiful and they should be accompanied with some bread at the price. The shandy was couple and refreshing. We got the impression that the kitchen staff was a bit out of their depth. The waiters were friendly.

I visited with my wife and daughter to eat lunch for the first time. The Tagliatelle with Clams was fabulous as was the Spaghetti Seafood dish and the Minestrone was the real deal. Sat outside in the sun. Perfect experience...as Arnie said....I'll be back...

Popped in for coffee and a snack whilst out on a walk. Coffee was good and came quickly sadly the sausage and a scone took ages to come and we had drunk our coffee. It can't be that hard to do in a reasonable time...
