Kaldi's in Glasgow City

My old dad got fish&chips from here.Bad bad mistake.Save your money and go elsewhere The chips are frozen from a bag as is the fish also.The box in which the meal comes in just makes it taste worse if that is possible.He even said that a own branded supermarket frozen fish in a box tasted better

Llevamos años viniendo a la Ruta 50 / Kaldis y la comida y el servicio siempre son excelentes. Sin embargo . . . . en las últimas dos visitas desde la reapertura, el servicio ha faltado y la comida no es tan buena como antes. Tenía hamburguesas del 'nuevo menú' y fueron decepcionantes, en mi opinión, no de la mejor calidad y demasiado caras. El desayuno ahora se sirve en pequeños platos redondos en oposición a los platos rectangulares que hicieron una mejor presentación. Es triste estar escribiendo esta reseña y no estoy seguro de que volvamos.

Reservé una fiesta para mi esposo para el 18 de abril con un depósito no reembolsable de 150. Desafortunadamente, el bloqueo de Covid 19 se implementó en marzo, por lo que Kaldis canceló la fiesta. . Llamé por teléfono con respecto al depósito ahora reembolsable según lo descrito por el gobierno para que me dijeran que el personal tenía que ser despedido y que el negocio ahora no estaba seguro. . (puedo agregar como todos estábamos en ese momento). . Le envié un correo electrónico e intenté de nuevo varias llamadas telefónicas sabiendo que el gerente estaba allí, ya que había comenzado a proporcionar menús para llevar a la hora del almuerzo. . ninguna respuesta a ninguno de los dos. . . y sigo esperando. . Kaldis nunca será recomendado por mí a nadie y no volveremos una vez o reabremos. . .

Good food and service would recommend the handmade burgers the dirty fries were tasty too would definitely go again

There was a Sunday roast choice of Roast Beef or Chicken, Iwhen I was told there was no roast beef available at 5:30pm and would I take chicken i assumed there would be Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and all the trimmings. I was given chips, peas and a wee leg of chicken. I had to ask for gravy but was told the kitchen was busy, what a joke ! There were 2 young girls serving, well out their depth and unfortunately the service fell well below acceptable. Place is overpriced and food average at best. Save your hard earned money and eat elsewhere ! We will not be back - shocking !

Now called Route 50 and an American style diner look, to me it’s still Kaldis. Came in for breakfast and it was excellent, friendly people, good food and would always recommend

More people turned up than expected however the staff handled this very well and were very helpful despite being under pressure. Hats off to the chef tooo

Ahora llamado Ruta 50 y basado en un tema de restaurante estadounidense, el ex Kaldis es tan bueno, si no mejor, que antes, aunque han pasado algunos años desde que estuve allí.Me encantó el pollo Balmoral, aunque estaba un poco exagerado. Debra tenía la hamburguesa con queso (había dos de ellas en la porción) con papas fritas y ajo. Mayo y Bill tenían el perro con chile.Lavé la mía con una pinta de Staropramen a un precio razonable de 3: 90, Bill tenía una lata de coca-cola, pensé que era irrazonable 1: 90 y Deb tenía 2 cafés. En total, no está mal para menores de 40 años para nosotros tres.

Qué noche tan soberbia: estuve allí con mi esposa, mi cuñado, mi hija y mi yerno. Anteriormente había pedido algunas opciones saludables del buffet y también tuvimos un pequeño chapuzón en el buffet regular. La comida era excelente, el vino y las cervezas eran muy agradables. El canto de Alan Parker es nocaut. En varios idiomas nos cautivó a todos. Las canciones tradicionales y las viejas favoritas también hicieron que todos bailaran y cantaran. Conozco a Alan desde hace un tiempo, esta fue la primera vez que vi / vimos su acto, y es un acto de clase. Had 50th birthday party here buffet was amazing macaroni is fantastic staff are superb. Has a beer garden and a seperate area to sit outside. Also has I've cream and pizza for takeaway

I was outside the restaurant on my phone, slightly confused because I was headed to Kaldis but the signed said "Route 50". The gentlemen on the patio explained it is now Route 50. Turned out to be the owner. He noticed I was not a local and we had a great conversation about how I just moved to Scotland. I revealed that I was on a tight budget and looking for work. After I ate my dinner (mac and cheese), the waiter offered complementary coffee to which I politely declined. He then came back with a free dessert bar all packaged up for me to take home. I nearly cried. It was so nice of him! Their hospitality is unmatched. I 10/10 recommend.

Acabamos de dejar Kaldis y disgustados con el servicio. Pedimos dos cenas asadas y esperamos y esperamos. Treinta minutos más tarde, la señora nos dice que lo siento, que no queda carne asada. Been a few times now. Food very nice but waiting staff complacent. They forget items you’ve ordered and the number of items on the breakfasts we’ve had has been different each time. Even when ordering a child’s portion, we were charged full price for our toddler which was poor.

Had the fish. The batter was very hard. Hardly touched the meal did complain to the waitress but we were still charged for the fish. Not good customer service Unfortunately wont be back. Left very disappointed

Visited Route 50 for breakfast, great choice and fantastic quality. Presentation was perfect and we all left very happy. Defo going back to try some more delights from the menu.

A Nice American themed restaurant and lovely food, good menu and has a nice range in drinks as well.

My husband and I had a lovely lunch here today. Interior totally changed from Italian to American/New York deli and looks great.

Have visited a couple of times since the restaurant became Route 50. Both times have been for lunch. Nicely decorated, Food was good, portion sizes were decent and service was speedy and staff friendly, also reasonably priced. No complaints - would eat here again

Daughter was here for her prom. Member of staff stood on her dress tore it off her. Denied all knowledge of it even with 10 witnesses seeing it. Missed her prom her meal and all her prom photos for her school. Was happy to accept an appoligie but the woman owner as she call her self or manager what ever she was had such a terrible attitude towards it all. Blamed my daughter until I told her 10 people saw it then she changed her tune. So cheeky about it all then wiped their hands of it and passed it to insurers. If your kids have a prom booked here I would have a go pro or sum sort of recording device as if anything goes wrong it will be your fault and u will be a liar.. oh and it was a coincidence that the camera recording were it all happened. Someone put a hanging flower basket right in front of it so it couldn't be seen..

Now known as Route 50 - Went here for a birthday treat with my family , 7 of us in total. Place wasn’t particularly busy. Asked for table for 7 and got one for six. Eventually after finding a member of staff 10 mins later got a seat for the last person who was just plonked down at top of table. No menu, cutlery or napkins. After another 10 mins drinks were ordered, all cokes and when they arrived 20 mins later they were tasteless. Tried to complain but there was no-one ever around to approach. After another 20 mins or meals came and let’s just say it was NOT worth the wait. Everything was bland and like rubber. Chicken and ribs were over-cooked and not good at all. Only decent thing was the chips. Deserts took another 30 mins. All and all took us over 2 hrs (from 4pm till 6.15) for the worst food I’ve ever had!!! Defo never going there ever again, even if the food was for free!!! Stay for away folks

We visited just after the American style breakfast menu which looked and smelled amazing but was so happy with the steak pie, served so tender. Actually it was the nicest ive had in a restaurant for such a long time. There’s 12 flavours of ice cream and an amazing variety of desserts to choose from if you can squeeze one in or start with one. The service is great, girls very eager to meet the needs of the customer and not say no without checking first, it was noted. Thank you.

Overall had a lovely visit First time eating here with friends. Was a good flow of people for a Sunday and all the food smelled and looked delicious.

Nos gustaría agradecer al equipo de Kaldi's por ser tan servicial cuando estábamos organizando nuestra sorpresa padres 50 aniversario de boda. Geoff, Emma y el equipo eran excepcionales en la noche y nada era demasiado problema para cualquiera! Todo el mundo tenía una noche fabulosa, la comida era excelente si un poco corto de raciones por la cantidad de dinero que había pagado.

Un lugar bastante bonito tamaño justo para nuestro grupo. Sin embargo, buen DJ varían el buffet estaba bien, muchos chips dedo pizza y sándwiches cosas también con pollo al curry y me resultó difícil encontrar el pollo. Yo diría que había aproximadamente dos mejor de pollo fue todo de salsa. Salsa de pollo sabroso no es suficiente. No es barato tampoco me dijeron.

Me and my partner went to Kaldis for brunch, the waitress took our order and came back with a Latte that near burnt the mouth of my partner, which he had to go and get changed. I ordered pancakes which were really bad supposed to be light and fluffy they were flat n hard, my partner ordered the Boxer breakfast but received another which had to be returned so I had to start the pancakes which I couldn’t eat and then the breakfast eventually came back nothing special at all.. wouldn’t ever go back staff were ok the place is dirty and on leaving we meet the owner who was quite surprised we didn’t like anything.. wouldn’t recommend this place at all sorry to the staff it’s not there fault

Just had lunch in kaldis (route66) firstly theres a sign on the door saying under new management which is a lie as its the same owner the food is not nice at all still the same frozen food i had a burger wich was pink in the midfle after telling the waitress she wasnt to bothered an basically ignored me when a said the food was disgusting she just brushed it off definitely would not return stay clear of that place

Recientemente Kaldis ha cambiado a un Diner americano llamado Route 50. Aún los mismos dueños fabulosos y personal. El menú tiene hamburguesas, costillas, filetes, perritos calientes, pizza, etc. y todavía tienen algunos viejos favoritos si te gusta el queso mac o estofado de carne. También tienen un menú de desayuno, que todavía tengo que probar. En mi visita tuve el estante lleno de costillas con patatas fritas y ensalada y fue muy bueno. Todo el mundo disfrutó de su comida. Sin duda volveré a probar más el nuevo menú especialmente los postres que tuve la suerte de probar!

Lunch was like an episode of Fawlty Towers. Waitress couldn’t remember our order 2 minutes after taking it. Orders were then mixed up. Food was average at best. Then when clearing the table the waitress took away drinks that weren’t finished. We wont be back.

Visitamos la primera vez para el desayuno del domingo y no nos decepcionó, fue simplemente deliciosa, con un poco de todo lo que quieras si tienes un apetito entusiasta. El personal era amable y acogedores, sin prepotencia, y el servicio era rápido. . . El restaurante era cálido y acogedor y los aseos eran excepcionalmente limpio. . . . Bien merece una visita!

This is an excellent place to eat but not for Tourists as it is a bit far from Glasgow City Centre. Suitablefor those from Glasgow East or Lanarkshire West. Could be a bit expensive depending on what you require but good for a special occasion.

El domingo fuimos para una cena con algunos amigos. Era bastante tranquilo, así que nos sirvieron rápidamente. Sopa de Lentejas para empezar era muy agradable y la principal pizza no estaba tan mal. The food is always good in Kaldis and reasonably priced, free parking as well and staff are friendly.

Sunday morning late breakfast and decided on Kaldis. Relaxed atmosphere with a few families doing the same. Friendly service with excellent french toast. Breakfast menu was simple which covered all the cooked breakfast basics. Would return again.

Había más de 20 de nosotros que juntos como una familia. Pudimos alquilar nuestra propia habitación y nos dieron algo de espacio exterior, ya que el tiempo era un calor sofocante! El servicio era bueno, el personal era muy amable y el buffet de desayuno...

Tenía mi grupo aquí y no me puedo quejar del lugar. Pasamos una gran noche y siempre todo desde buffet kaldis para dj, etc, nunca necesitamos hacer una cosa. El personal era muy amable y servicial. También uno de los propietarios, que estaba allí por la noche no podría haber sido mejor. Siempre tenía una comida en kaldis en otro momento antes y la comida también era buen nivel lo recomiendo. Así que la tercera vez que he dado a este establecimiento. No volveré. Cada vez la comida era terrible, el personal no está capacitado, vago, no educado ni tampoco son vestidos apropiadamente. 45 minutos para una sopa de primer plato, mal principal, completamente perdiendo una comida luego añadiremos a la factura. Conocimiento de vinos. "Tengo un Pinot Grigio," la respuesta camarera era "qué es eso? ". Se hacen llamar italiano, bien al otro lado de la carretera no Morrison mejor italiano del rango. Yo podía entender algunas cosas si el lugar estaba ocupada o que estaban bajo personal pero cada vez había sólo 2 - 3 mesas en uso y personal deambulando en sus teléfonos móviles. Me sorprende el lugar está todavía abierto. Quizás necesiten dar una llamada Gordon.

Fue en kaldis hoy para comida era buena, pero el servicio era terrible. Esperé 25 minutos para la factura. Me gustaría ver el sitio en un día ajetreado. me disuade a volver

This establishment is as close as you can get to where i live without being right next door, so really should use it more, problem is the food is poor, the service even worse. Will never use again.

Just had my 40th birthday party celebration at Kaldis on Saturday 4th March and it was such a fantastic night. Nice food and drinks, perfect venue and what was most outstanding was the fantastic welcome I and all my family and friends received from the great staff.They are a true credit to great customer service and would highly recommend this very accommodating venue to anyone. Will definitely be back.Thomas R

just one corneto, give it to me 'that's is the tune in my head, when sitting in the restaurant if anybody has ever visited a restaurant in the South of Italy well you are in for a fantastic experience, it's decor is beautifully designed ie flowers, lighting , seating booths, tables. Do you all remember 'Mr Ben 'it was a 70's kiddies program, well that's what you feel like, when you walk into kaldi' s, one min your in Glasgow/balliston , then in Italy hee hee, ps down load Mr Ben and it will all make sense.... Moving on to the lovely staff, greeted by a silver fox, named Jeff /owner, very engaging, professional, had a wee chat about the flowers in the restaurant, turns out they have won awards for there display, oops forgot to mention outside is covered in beautiful plants pots, feeling really relaxed I ordered from the lunch menu,three courses all well presented, oh this the good bit, my taste buds were popping all over, Mmmmm pasta cooked to perfection for my starter, main course..... Pizza oh my goodness pizza lovers oh oh it melts in your mouth yummy yummy yum yum 10 /10, finally trying to decide what dessert to choose as they are displayed in a glass unit, I was nearly kicking the glass, my eyes scans all the sweet delightful treats, the chef must have clocked me, very kindly offered to give me a small taster of everything....... Aye I so wanted to say yes but said thank you for your the lovely offer, picked the homemade cheese cake with a cheeky scoop of there own ice cream..... Mmmmm, as I was leaving, Jeff showed me the rest of the place ie there is also a bar area and function hall to hire at a great price, I wish my birthday was sooner so I can a party there, do what was lovely, all the staff comes out to say goodbye it's a really special family feeling, as it's got a children's menu, great lunch, pre dinner deals, fantastic choice of food, beers, wines, cocktails, all staff members very friendly ps hope you pay them well as it's hard to find good workers, it's a wee find, you all need to go go go go but not on a gondola lol

We were down in Glasgow for 5 nights 10th till 15th February. We ate in Kaldis for the entire 5 nights, we first ate here in November last year and it was SO good we went 5 consecutive nights the other week. The menu is fantastic, portion size is excellent and staff all very friendly and welcoming. The menu has got lots to choose from, we had a different meal each night, steak pie is to die for, steaks, Kaldis signature chicken, pasta, pizza, various chicken dishes, the kids meals are such good value for money with a drink, main and ice-cream for under £5. The starters and desserts are first class just like the mains. Drinks are good value as well. This place is absolutely fantastic - I cannot rate it highly enough, good home cooking and more importantly it is excellent value for money. You won't be disappointed with it. We had the valentines menu here. The staff were lovely and helpful. Lentil soup, prawn cocktail which hubby said was very filling to start, mains veggie pasta for me and chicken parmagiana for hubby. All fresh and tasty.

Myself and wife had lovely dinner in kaldis Jeff and staff give wonderful service great food had steak lovely.

Never been here before tonight but had an excellent meal. The food is fantastic, as is the service and value for money. The menu is really extensive, so much to choose from and something for everyone. They do excellent deals such as two courses for under £10 and special daytime menus. We chose from the main evening menu and we had prawn cocktail and battered mushrooms as our starters then the balmoral chicken and New York Sirloin Steak for mains. The starters were first class and the mains out of this world. The portion size was really good and the steak came with bacon and mushroom on top, chips, onions, mushrooms, tomato and salad. The chicken was topped with haggis and had a lovely balmoral sauce and came with chips and veg. Both meals were cooked to perfection and piping hot. Our daughter had chicken nugget and chips from the kids menu, she thoroughly enjoyed it - 6 nuggets and chips, a drink and ice-cream for only £4.95 - excellent value. We enjoyed several drinks, ice-cream and tea. The pudding menu has so much to choose from, all different hot and cold sweets and there are more than 10 flavours of ice-cream to choose from. The service was first class - special thanks to our waitress Gemma, she was so friendly and attentive. She knew the menu inside out and was an absolutely 'natural' in working with the public. There is also free wifi as well and a large car park. The location is also fantastic as it is so close to the motorway. We had a good look through all of the menus and they also have a function hall for parties and private functions, they also do tribute and entertainment nights. Cannot rate this place highly enough. My husband said it was the best steak he has had in a long time. Lots to choose from on the menu, pizza, pasta, steak pie, various chicken dishes, fish, steak, salad - the list is endless and with so much to choose from we will definitely be back. I wish we had a restaurant like this in Aberdeenshire where we live!! Can't wait to return, it was 'simply the best'!!!

Go there most Sundays . Staff are Fab very chatty. Homely atmosphere and very chilled. Emma and Gemma normally serving and they are gr8.Booths are private. Worked my way through most of menu but really love the risotto, it's the bees knees. Steak pie is to die for .Always opt for takeaway pizza for son he loves it. Says it better than Domino's. It's delicious. Healthy portions and good service. Managent are very friendly too. There is a wee snug bar which is quiet and relaxing and all family friendly. Highly recommend...oh and it's great prices. Love it.

Bland food, terrible service and won't be back!Needs majorly updating, visited back in 2004 and relaised I hadn't missed out on a thing with this place. All local people think this place is a dive.

Attended a function here. Was really surprised how big the function suite was. Drinks very reasonably priced too and staff were lovely. Recommended.

Although the restaurant is very good sadly ther take away seems to be a forgoton add on the pizza was very good after I had to heat it as it was stone cold and I live 5 mins away as for the mac and cheese dry cold and tasted like the cheese came from one of the dry kiddon mac and cheese boxes disgusting when I arrived to pick up stood for ages because no one at counter had to shout through to kitchen to get some one to eventually bring my order come on kaldie stop treating your take away guests like second hand citizens remember some of came because if your restaurant food and was so disappointed not sure if I would come back to your restaurant definitely won't order take away again avoid unless yiu like cold food

We've visited both the restaurant and function room. The food in the restaurant is sensibly priced and of decent quality. The function room is spacious and accommodating. Worth a visit but manage your own expectations prior.

I have been to this restaurant twice and I would highly recommend it. Very cheap especially the lunch menu and lovely food and you can sit outside aswell on a nice day! Perfect for a nice lunch or dinner with the family or friends!

We visit often and whether we are in the mood for a roast dinner, pizza or omelette, we have a lovely meal served with a smile. Paninis are good too and did I mention the home made cakes? And the giant meringues? Oh and real Italian ice cream too! All very affordable so we can treat ourselves very well.

Been here a few times for lunch, good basic food. Home made soup, sandwiches, baked potatoes. Decent pot of tea; nice cakes. Staff always helpful and friendly. Not been in eve but looks like they have nice selection on wines. Pretty outside in summer with flowering baskets looking lovely. Good place to meet for casual lunch or coffee.

Booked this to celebrate son's graduating from high school. Not been in a long time. There was a nice atmosphere. the menu had a good selection. The portion size for the starters was good. We has bruchetta, pakora and nachos. we all thought they tasted great. We had lasagne, pizza and fish. We have to say the lasagne was very good would definitely recommend it of course the pizza and fish was great. The kids of course had to have a desert. It was a great meal and great value will definitely be back. Thank you to the waitresses for their service and the chef for the food.

Went for my mums birthday. We go often to the restaurant and what I wanted was not on the menu. I mentioned to the waitress and she asked what it was. She then checked with the chef who had said it was possible to make it. It was lovely. Everyone else enjoyed their good also.

Food very good and reasonably priced but service let it downWaitress did not write down what we wanted which resulted in our side order not arriving with our meal. We had to go and chase this and then wait on it being cooked. We asked for a round of drinks again one was missing but as no one was about decided to forget it but they still charged me until I pointed this out. Again when we ordered from the dessert menu this can one at a time and one was missed and we had to chase. On the other hand we did have time to eat our starter with space before our main. As we were able to see all the tables I don't think anyone else had any issues.

Great safe venue for kids and good value for money . Staff very friendly had my sons christening here and my daughters christening reception both looked amazing with all the decorations that you can put on yourself .

I attended the Blue Knights Scotland 1 motor cycle club, breakfast meeting this morning and as usual enjoyed a great breakfast at a very reasonable price. Good friendly and efficient service all thrown in for free the staff were extremely helpful. Conveniently located next to the main motorways south, west and east. Its an easy location to drop off to and the food is good too.Thanks guys.

Terrible frozen food, get a better meal in wetherspoons! Haddock was in breadcrumbs and was like one that they serve in primary school canteens! Also how can you mess up a prawn cocktail? It came with no salad. My steak was edible but cold! We said we were not paying for the fish and they had the cheek to still put it on the bill which we never paid of course! We have been here about 3 times in 3 years and everytime it just gets worse

The menu is set, although a la carte is available at the weekends!The service wasn't good as we asked for a look at the other menus, a la carte and gluten free, and we're still waiting!Food was quite dry and deep fried where concerned! This place does look inviting, but it's a bit mixed up! Sunday roasts, risotto specials, oven pizza, pakoras, Mexican dishes!My advice is sort out the menus!!

Always a pleasure to eat here. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly helpful staff. Good selection of food for everyone which is fresh and tasty. Don't always get a dessert but they are yummy and the meringues are huge. Very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit if you haven't been before.

Good sized portions that were a really great price. I visited at lunch time over the festive season and the food was lovely. Quick service with staff being friendly. Couldn't finish my portion of chicken fajitas and I love my grub! Will definitely be going back.

This is a friendly place serving good food and the service is ok as well. A good mix of traditional type dishes and the desserts are awesome

Was a surprise family party hall small but managed ok buffet was amazing but muzik on in background I'm deaf so was hard to hear it also kids wanted to dance obv couldn't also felt got rushed out at end but will go back as foods lovely so praise too chef

Visited here for our friends daughters christening. They had hired out the function suite for after the event. It was tipping down, myself, my husband, our 5 year old and our twin babies dashed across the carpark and up the ramp to the front door. We were refused entrance and told we must go back out on to the street and enter through the beer garden. I know it is possible to get to the function suite through the front door because that is how we left!It's a nice enough wee hall and was laid out well. There was plenty of room to manoeuvre and park our buggy without blocking anyone.I was driving so on soft drinks. They ran out of both Irn Bru and Coca Cola and had a very limited choice of other soft drinks. I found this particularly disappointing and would have been better prepared and better stocked.The buffet was nice, no complaints there.Drinks prices were reasonable.The DJ I found to be extremely loud considering it was for a babies christening, defending at times. HOWEVER I don't know if the DJ was provided by Kaldi's or hired separately.I have hired Kaldi's out a few years ago and felt that it has worsened since then. I wouldn't be encouraged to use them based on this experience.

I'm writing this review after my very first visit to Kaldis at lunchtime today. I can't believe we've never been before as my Mum lives in Baillieston. From start to finish, the lovely staff went the extra mile for us. Senior Citizens breakfast was perfect for my Mum who has a small apetite.Vegetable fajitas were I' m told " brilliant", but the portion was so huge, my daughter couldnt finish it. But then, she did have the lentil soup first. Ahhhh yes.... the lentil soup! It scored a perfect 10 and we even had the cheek to ask if we could buy a carry out portion for wee Mum's dinner! I am a pastaholic and was a bit wary of trying pasta somewhere new. But seeing Arrabiata on the menu, I had to give it a go. Absolutely cooked to perfection. Finally for fear of boring you all..... great coffee was accompanied by a good sized jug of hot milk and a biscuit. Everything was served with genuine smiles and it felt to me that the staff actually enjoy working there. Thank you and Well done Team Kaldis. We will be back soon

Kaldi's staff helped to make our large Family Reunion Party a great success. They were pleasant and very helpful. The food, drink and function room suited us well. The DJ organised for us make our night by playing music to suit everyone. It was all booked online and Doreen phoned several times to ensure I was happy with the arrangements.

We booked kaldis for my sons christening . It was all very last minute , however I couldn't believe how stress free kaldis staff made this event for me .All I had to do was turn up and have a good time . We had the bouncy castle for the kids and the rugby on for the guys . The staff were super friendly and went out there way to ensure that all my guests were taken care of.The hall is a great size and the food was AMAZING !!!! Would 100 %recommend this venue for all functions . book book book !!!!

We go here for the comedy nights they have during the last couple of months of the year and combine it with a meal beforehand. We've been in around half a dozen times and had a meal on 4 of these occasions (all on a sunday). The last time was last sunday in September and the chef had a special on of chicken with a sauce with honey in it. It was superb and the portion sizes are more than adequate especially after a decent sized starter. The 4 of us had the chicken special and we all raved about it.On other occasions we've tried the sunday roast which was also superb. The only problem for us staying in motherwell is the public transport but one of us just drives (normally the Mrs Ha Ha.)

The food was great apart from the garlic bread which I could not believe we were served was horrendous my dog wouldn't have ate it. Waited an hour when only 2 other customers when in at lunchtime for only 2 adult and 1 child meal. The lasagne was lovely large portion but the overall wait and service was poor.

Lovely family restaurant with great service, tasty food and very reasonably priced. The lunch and weekday evening menu is amazing value.

My dad and I love having a meal here the food is quality and the service always comes with a nice welcome and a smile. Nothing is a problem for them when it comes to your meal the new ice creams are fantastic loads to try and you so should try them yum. The owners are there most of the time and very easy to talk to. One of my fav places for my Sunday dinner.

My Mum was looking for a wedding venue at he beginning of the year and I suggested Kaldis as I have been going there since I was a little girl, which she loved when we went to see it! Yesterday was her big day, and I must say I am happy to take the credit of choosing such a perfect place for the reception to be held! The staff went out of their way all day to make sure everyone was happy and the meal was fantastic! Special thank you to one of the staff, Jack for helping me throughout the day. Everyone had an amazing time and the guests have been talking about it all day! Night time buffet was amazing, there was so much food and everything tasted delicious and was piping hot :) The personalised sign outside was an extra special touch, thanks to Jim and all the staff for such an amazing day! I will be highly recommending you to people. Well done!

We celebrated a 50th birthday party in Kaldis on Friday 25th September and were made to feel relaxed and at ease by the management and staff who could not have been any more obliging and helpful throughout the evening.At one point they arranged for one of the staff to take timeout to fetch some non alcoholic beer for one of our guests which was very much appreciated.The venue and staff were warm and inviting which helped to create a very family friendly atmosphere.Unfortunately I missed out on the buffet due to fulfilling other party duties though the feedback that I received was that it was fine and plentiful.I cannot thank our guests and the Kaldis team enough for providing us with a wonderful evening.

This was our first visit to the restaurant and i can say the meal was delicious. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the food was excellent value for money, we will definitely come back

We drove past this restaurant on the way to another when one of our party suggested going in there instead. Glad we did! Food was delicious, service was excellent, excellent value for money ! Huge variety of dishes and everyone in our party was catered for. Waitresses were so polite and smiling all the time! Will definately be back

Had my 50th birthday party here on Saturday night. We all had a fantastic night. As I live in Somerset now, i booked everything over the phone with Doreen. She was amazing and when I arrived on Saturday, everything was just as I had asked. Brilliant buffet, staff and venue. Highly recommend

We've used Kaldis numerous times for christenings and Communion's so when we decided to have our 15th Wedding anniversary and vow renewal party we needed it to look and feel....different. it was great. Classy, elegant and they catered for us amazingly. Great buffet, selection oof drinks, crackin service. Thanks Kaldis, you helped us have an awesome night.

Kaldi's really made my 50th special from the function hall to the buffet which was amazing and the dj . Would definitely recommend anyone to have any kind of party there, staff couldn't do enough for you.
