Tomeli's in Barnet

Visited on Wed at lunchtime, the place was relatively quiet. We were allocated a table but had to ask the waiter to wipe it. Sat for 20 min then went looking for the waiter to stay that we were ready to order. Asked for 2 falafel pittas and 2 juices. The 1st juice came but the 2nd one took 10min to be served then the first falafel plate arrived, the pitta was surrounded by overcooked, overheld and disgusting fries. There was no sign of the second falafel playe for another 15min by shich time, the first one was getting stone cold. The second plate finally arrived and definitely looked much fresher than the first one, as if a different type of fries was ordered. The pittas were yukky and hard to bite into the thick and oven burnt falafel. Only the tahini and the garnish tasted ok, the falafel and the bread were revolting. To add insult to injury, we asked for the bill and we were given somebody else's... it was the waiter's first day on the job but obviously without any training whatsoever... What a dissapointing service, a disgusting pitta in a bare and dirty place, all at an unjustified price: £8.50 for the pitta and £4 for a small carrot juice! Tomeli's is going downhill... Bring back the old management pls.

Fui con cuatro amigos a Tomelis la semana pasada. Todos pedimos bagels tostados con atún y queso derretido y todos los enviamos de regreso porque no estaban bien cocidos. El servicio fue terrible y tuve que pedirle a la camarera que le pusiera la máscara sobre la nariz. Todos pensamos que era muy caro y no volveremos. Es una pena, ya que solía venir aquí antes del encierro y la comida solía ser buena.

Me sorprendió bastante la calidad de la comida en comparación con el precio cobrado, la comida también tardó un poco en llegar a pesar de que casi nadie estaba sentado. No volvería a comer aquí.

No podría estar más decepcionado después de mi visita a Tomeli's hoy. Literalmente, mi restaurante favorito en BX antes del cierre, decir que ha ido dramáticamente cuesta abajo es quedarse corto. La carne salada se veía totalmente recocida y gris, casi nada en el bagel y el bagel en sí estaba quemado y parecía sacado de una bolsa. La ensalada se había sacado de una bolsa, nada de fresco. Pan de pizza (10,50) poco cocido con salsa de tomate. Pedí una "pizza de queso y tomate" y me cobraron 1 extra por el queso. La pasta para niños tenía mucha pimienta, mi hijo de 1 año no disfrutó. El restaurante ha cambiado de manos y se nota. El gerente no manejó bien mi malestar y la experiencia no fue agradable. Esperando que puedan hacer cambios positivos y esto se convierta en un lugar al que pueda regresar nuevamente. Ahora mismo definitivamente no lo recomendaría.

Hoy pedí un brunch con aguacate y huevos escalfados. Los huevos estaban demasiado cocidos y duros, lo cual le mencioné a la camarera una vez que comencé a comer y me prometieron más huevos como reemplazo. Esto nunca sucedió, así que le pedí a la mesera que le avisara al gerente. Volvió ofreciéndome en ese momento más huevos, lo que obviamente era demasiado tarde. No se ha hecho nada más al respecto, por lo que no me sentí apreciado como cliente. Vine aquí hoy solo porque Wagamama tenía una cola larga, pero nunca, nunca más.

Every time I come to this restaurant I try and give it another chance and continue to be disappointed further. One time I came here and there was a plastic tag in my chicken shwarma, which they re made for me. This time I watched the waiter put myself and my mum’s meal in front of the wrong 2 people obviously not wearing masks which due to the current times is more risky than usual, and then he realised we were sat somewhere else and brought it back over to us. I was not happy about this. The service is appalling and way too over priced. Not to mention my meal was very simple, Cold and Took 20 minutes to arrive. Never coming back again.

Awful food. Cheap processed rubbish. £10 for a fry up that looked and tasted like it had been microwaved. Meal sent back. Kids had cream cheese bagel. They had to bring extra cream cheese because there was hardly any on there. Service not amazing. First and last time here

I took my son to Tomelis for his birthday breakfast. He loves the crepes there but this time we ordered stacked pancakes. There was too much baking agent in the pancakes and the taste of th actual pancake was bland or absolutely bitter if you bit into the parts that tastier if baking powder. Ten poor taste took away from the otherwise beautifully presented pancake stack. I gave a waiter my feedback and his reaction was to go all defensive. He only began to be somewhat responsive to my comments when I said I wasn’t after a discount. For four pancakes at £7.50 I’m massively disappointed.

First time at Tomeli’s and definitely won’t be our last. Shakshuka was delicious, flavoursome and beautifully presented. The smoked salmon bagel and salad accompanying it were incredibly fresh and beautifully seasoned. Our waitress Christina was incredibly polite and friendly Cheesecake was divine!

We visited the restaurant today after a long wait we ordered. My daughter ordered the bagel breakfast the presentation was awful it was supposed to be a fried egg we got a plate of unappetising scrambled egg underneath was beans and turkey rasher beef sausage. It was so badly presented that she actually didn’t eat it. Even when seeing the food had not been eaten the waiter handed us the bill. I went to the counter to ask if there was a duty manager or someone is in charge only to be told that members of staff had called in sick today, this was unprofessional. Sad to say I will think twice before visiting again.

Hadn't been for a few months..so was looking forward to their selection of great mixed (excellent value-for-money) salads etc., hoping we'd get a table at lunchtime.... Was surprised to find it vertically empty... Then to see that the menu had changed...and probably the management? The menu is now full of boring "all day breakfasts", stodgy meals, some with suedo "Yiddish" descriptions..few non-imaginative salads and deserts.. and higher prices... Purporting to be of Israeli origins etc... Had the chicken swarma.. A stodgy pitta filled with mush and virtually no chicken. We didn't bother with desserts...(and we usually did as a treat.) So...Not the same.. They have misjudged the local clientele They have lost our custom.. And, it seems by the emptiness and other recent reviews..Others...particularly the ladies who lunch. Such a shame!!

Worst Chicken Shwarma I have ever eaten! No white meat, scraps of misshapen dark 'meat'. Couldn't recognise any of the other ingredients inside, just a mush of tasteless nothing, except for cucumber and coriander. Pita was doughy and cheapest kind. Felt nauseous afterwards with bad taste in mouth. Was truly awful. Should have sent it back, but was starving! Hefty service charge added to bill for 1 plate of nasty overpriced food! There are so many lovely places to eat in Brent Cross - wish I had never stumbled across this one. Ate a Krispy Creme after Ieaving, to take bad taste away.

Used to eat at Tomelis often and it was a lovely place. However since the menu changed Ive been nothing but disappointed. Im pretty sure there are new owners. My pancakes came thick like crumpets and raw inside. Not even served with syrup as mentioned on menu. Coffee came spilled. And not to mention even the service was not how it used to be, staff where clearly overworked and did not look happy. Will never go back here again, its such a shame. Avoid.

Have eaten here a few times, this time was the worst dining experience I have ever had! As we approached with our daughter aged 15 months we saw they had changed the menu and thought we would give it a go... we approched and waited for more then 5 mins to be seated there was ONE waitress and ONE person at the till/drinks area.. After wating 20mins for our order to be taken by the poor waitress that was literally run off her feet. I ddecided to go to the front and order with the staff member at till he took our order and apologised. We sat and waited the food arrived... my husband had 'pancake stack' there were raw in the middle thick and just horrible.. my breakfast came with a piece of thick cut toasted bread as I picked it up I saw it was complete burnt on the down facing side. Called the waitress over but she was too busy with other customers. I took my bread and the pancakes and approached the till area again, the chef came towards me , I said I'm sorry this isnt acceptable burnt bread is one thing but raw pancakes.. he said ' take your things and get out of my place!! Turned and walked off. We left and went to pret absolutly disgusted with bit only the food but the behaviour of whom I was told was the new owner. Avoid.

This really was a great find for us whilst visiting the shopping centre at Brent. Plenty of seating, clean and efficient. Good variety on the menu. We settled for the salt beef and the soup. It was so good and tasty. The waiting staff also looked interested and did a good job. Certainly shall pay a return visit.

My wife wanted to order Hummus Jaffa but she was told that they could not serve this as it included Falafel and the chef did not know how to prepare this dish. Instead she ordered Tomelli’s Falafel. They could not understand the logic and nor...

Had a really great lunch at this friendly and yummy restaurant whilst shopping in Brent Cross Shopping Centre. Had a really tasty bagel with salad..shared a crepe for dessert..Will definately going back for a smoothie!!

We enjoyed a quick lunch at this shopping centre cafe. The salads were excellent - two good sized portions for £8.95. The aubergine was particularly good. Service was helpful and very quick. Just what we needed.

Visited here a few times now and have enjoyed it every time. Good food options even for vegetarians like myself. Fast service and friendly staff. Definitely recommended

Great service and food it came quickly and was very yummy and healthy and fresh great for something quick.

unfortunately this place is open to all coughing and sneezing nearby. The food covers do not cover over and close which means all dust and all else floating about nearby can get on the food offerings on the counters.

Had nutella and strawberry crepes, superb. Took the kids and grandkids and they loved it. Fun tea time snack surrounded by shops, what more could you ask for. Staff and atmosphere excellent. Highly recommended. :)
