Best savaloy and chips i've had for quite a while. Chips were lovely and the savaloy although quite small was alot better than the rock hard, tasteless savaloys they do in my area. Will definately be buying from this shop again. Shop could do with a bit of a tidy up though

Really poor chips they are like bricks.. Dunno what oil they cook them in but it's poor.. Average price. Probably why it's been there so long.. 1 star

Ever since Superfish closed two years ago in Ewell Road, residents of Douglas Road, Ellerton Road, Ravenscar Road and Red Lion Road have been limited in choice. But Tolworth Fish Bar combines cheap Chinese food with fish and chips, and it's the fish and chips and saveloy and chips combos that are the most popular. It's cheap and cheerful; little finesse, but at £2.40 for a large takeaway portion of battered sausage and chips, it's a bargain for a quick feed. I got mine open, with salt and vinegar, and a plastic fork (which would have annoyed David Attenborough). Not that he's likely to dine here. The chips are good, everything's hot, and there's little to complain about.

We are local and have used this takeaway a lot over the years. It has gone down hill recently. We had a bad meal a couple of months ago, and we put it down to a one-off... Tonight's meal was awful, greasy spring rolls, soggy and chewy crispy beef - most of the meal went in the bin. The restaurant wasn't busy - it always used to be - so we should have read the signs.

Having been to the Carluccios in Richmond recently, the Bentall’s branch in Kingston felt like the poor cousin. The portion sizes of food were smaller and the staff serving were not attentive and kept trying to push add ins like a salad or bread. We were not enthralled and having been going there for years and years, it sadly is not how it used to be. The penne Giardinea, their signature dish, you have to find the courgette balls! Tiny and sparse. This used to be such an incredible dish.

A relative and I went on Sunday 23rd Feb for lunch. We enjoyed the idli and chutney, but really struggled with the main course of chicken curry and prawn curry. They were extremely hot, so much so that we had to drink lots of water. I wish there was a choice - mild, moderately hot and very hot. The service was really bad. Really disappointed.

Came for breakfast … well what can I say !! The manager started to clear away condiments and cutlery which he had only put down 10 minutes before hand and I reminded him that we hadn’t eaten as yet … 45 minutes later our food turned up … presented lovely on the plate but was cold ‘ when I spoke to the manager he was rude and not too bothered that we weren’t happy ‘ I challenged him on the ham used for eggs Benedict as it was in fact left over roast pork not ham … he was very sarcastic and said ham is pork !! Told him we didn’t want our food and ordered some toast instead which when brought to the table we received another sarcastic comment And to be charged £30 for coffee and toast was a bit extreme !!! Won’t be returning and suggest you don’t bother going either
