Our recent visit to Han left much to be desired. Despite having made an advance reservation, our table was not prepared, and we were inconvenienced by a mid-starter table change. While the food quality remained consistent, the unapologetic and unfriendly demeanor of the staff persisted, even as they shuffled us from table to table. Although they did offer discounts on our bill as a form of amends, we had come for a delightful dining experience, not to seek compensation for subpar service. All in all, we have reservations about returning in the future.

Didn't try food by karaoke is a blast.

The food was quite good yet many dishes were unavailable or sold out even though we were there at 7pm, they were short staffed and the service suffered from it. Overall decent but wouldn’t recommend it for what the charge

Whole experience was amazing especially to the most dedicated server JEFF. From the beginning he’s been so friendly and accommodating to ensure an enjoyable evening. He was a one man army. The food is a 10/10. BBQ sets were a good value for money! Aside from that, the interior was unique and set a really nice vibe.

We just came here for Karaoke so can't comment on the food. The karaoke rooms were spacious and comfortable and the song selection was immense. Had a really fun time here.

I ordered and ate raw sirloin. It was embarrassing that the staff kept coming and turning off the fire while the meat was being grilled, but the taste was good. It was also nice to give some side dishes when giving meat.

We went for dîner only. I didn't like the food, didn't finish my plate. My family liked it though. But the restaurant is very dirty, don't look up!! They need to seriously think about cleaning and refreshing the place. Even the chairs were horribly dirty. You need to refurbish the place completely guys! Sorry, not going again.

A brilliant place to go for some authentic Korean cuisine. Food was absolutely amazing and arrived quickly, tasted fresh and flavourful. Staff were extremely attentive. Overall a huge thumbs up from me and highly recommended to others

Came just for the karaoke room. The kit seems to be aging a little bit. Good selection of songs but the remote was a bit temperamental and being In Korean didn't help. The staff were very helpful but they werent entirely sure how to make it work either. For some reason we were only allowed a subset of drinks downstairs in the karaoke rooms so had to come upstairs more often to order more from the bar. We had a lot of fun but there is definitely room for a few improvements here and there.

We had a group of 12 work friends visit and it was such a disappointment. We opted for the set menu and if you don’t eat meat, the fish and sea food choice was terrible. The restaurant appears to have once, a long time ago, have been invested in traditional wood style, but it’s been neglected ever since. The restaurant was freezing cold. Groups of youngsters kept filing in and out to smoke, leaving doors open. The women’s loos were closed and women were redirected to the men’s, where most of the men’s loos were taped off because it was out of order. I’m not sure what’s going on there but I think the owners should either pour love attention into the place, or give up. A real shame.

I recently visited this Korean BBQ restaurant and had a great time! The experience of frying your own food right in front of you is a unique and enjoyable experience. I shared the meat platter 3 with a friend, and it was delicious. The kimchi, spring rolls, pickled radish slices, and egg fried rice were also standout dishes that complemented the BBQ perfectly. But the real highlight of this place is the karaoke bar. The private rooms are a lot of fun. While the sofas are a little old, you hardly notice when you're singing your heart out or enjoying some soju (which is a must-try!). The combination of soju and karaoke makes for an unforgettable night out with friends. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a fun and unique dining experience with great food and entertainment. Highly recommend booking a karaoke room, Just be prepared to sing your heart out!

Abdolute dump, seriously don't bother

The kareoke room had broken glass and the table was all sticky. The guy taking us to the kareoke room saw this but didn’t clean anything up. Food all tasted good but the prices had gone up to what I had saw on the online menu. On the online menu most starts were around £8.50 whereas in the restaurant it was around £15. The restaurant in all just didn’t seem very clean. For 6 people we payed around £25 each.

It was such a shame that my experience was bad because the restaurant looked beautiful. Went here with my partner and whilst we tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, the service was bad beyond two or three red flags. We were repeatedly forgotten after being asked to wait, discriminatory remarks were made to my partner, despite ordering first we were left after people who had come a fair bit later/ ordered later than us, and we were repeatedly questioned about our reservation after showing them. Also the food wasn't tastey (veg options) and didn't match the price.

Awful place... they forgot our bbq pan until we asked for it and we have out meat and vegtables all out for a long time. When we were the first one to come in, others are getting served. Getting the bill also takes longer. Overall, bad customer service, would not recommend to come here even though it has a nice design.

I went with a group of friends last night. Service was awful, food no better - cheap cuts of meat , the BBQ wasn’t hot enough so sent it back to the kitchen to cook. Extension leads under the table to power the BBQ running across the floor. So bad hard to describe. We paid for drinks and one cover only

Taste authentic, but would’ve been great if side dishes served. My friend told they provide when only customer asking, which I didn’t know then they never asked. Otherwise, want to try different dish if I have a chance to go back to New Malden.

Food is very good, karaoke is nice, drinks slightly expensive but not that bad. Let down by the mediocre service due to being short-staffed. Would still recommend for a nice authentic Korean experience - interior is very traditional

Visit for company dinner only. Seniors order pork cutlet and tteokbokki as a must. When I first encountered pork cutlet after a long confinement, I really liked it. Since I was going to a company dinner, I personally didn't want to look for it. Still, if you miss Gyeongyang-style pork cutlet, you can find it.

The food is OK, we had BBQ and none of the meat was marinaded or even seasoned, just plain meat. The karaoke is outdated, they use a book with codes for songs in. So there's a very limited selection of songs.

“Steamed” dumplings came out fridge cold. Waiter took them back and brought them back hot. Assume just microwaved, as they came back quickly with our half eaten one on the plate still & a bit hard/ chewy. Beef bimibap had so little beef it was basically a vegetarian dish. The egg on top looked like something you’d pull out of a McMuffin (a small hard ice hockey puck shaped thing). No flavour/ seasoning at all. Rice stick together in clumps. Seafood pancake floury and bland. Chewy bits of seafood. Korean fried chicken wings were nice but £17 for a small plate. You order via QR code. Server was friendly enough when brought food over. Went to get us some soy sauce when requested to try to give the bimibap a bit of seasoning. I’d steer well clear of this place, as New Malden has some of the best Korean food around but you won’t find it here.

A really nice Place to Work really nice People

The interior decoration was amazing, and the BBQ was great (specially the bulgogi), but there's something wrong with their QR ordering system or their management. We ordered a BBQ set using the QR system, which arrived very quickly, but then we realized the set didn't include lettuce (although it included kimchi and a salad), so we ordered lettuce using the same system. It never arrived, but it was added to our bill. When we pointed out the error, they apologized and removed it from the bill, but it took a while. The fact that there were only 2 waiters for the whole place probably didn't help.

Reasonable food but the ordering system is chaos for large groups.

Very disappointing experience. Had the bbq and the food was appalling and not attentive service. Meat was questionable and ridiculous pricing for lettuce. No sides included and took a really long time to get burnt stove changed. Would not recommend.

Excellent food served promptly by a waitress who was extremely helpful. This is the top restaurant/bar for Korean food in New Malden - and therefore in the U.K.!

I first visited “Han” at the invitation of an acquaintance. I didn't have high expectations due to the low Google rating. The interior looks like a high-end Korean restaurant, there is plenty of space between tables, and most of all, I was very satisfied with the quantity and taste of the food! The meat in the beef rib stew was so generous that I was surprised that no matter how much I ate, I kept getting more meat! hehe I hope you prosper~

Amazing. Had my 50th here with a group of friends. Karaoke is fun, limited list but great rooms and superb service. The food is amazing and we had a great time. I will definitely come back. Aimee and the team were brilliant. Thank you.

Subpar Experience FOODS Their food taste was not so great or tasty, very bland. I ordered a calamari with rice, apparently it was meant to be very spicy. I didn't feel much spice, or maybe I am used to spice. But the calamari pieces didn't have any taste, my company who tried it before said it was meant to taste like that. The starter we got was a sweet chilli chicken and that tasted amazing especially the sauce. One of the stew we ordered tasted so bland that the chef had to make a new one which tastes better. SERVICES Customer service was good, no complaints and no issues. From the person taking our orders, to the person serving at the bar, they gave good customer service. Though I didn't see any Koreans working there, where there even Korean chefs? The seats were comfortable; the tables, chopsticks and spoon were clean. Everywhere was neat and tidy. We were the only customers there, it was quiet at the time we went around 6pm. Wheelchair users can get in easily, but entrance door is not automatic. The unique thing about this restaurant is that it has decor that resembles Korea, from building, wood types to rooftops. This is one of the perks of this restaurant, is the decorations. They also do karaoke as well but I don't have any details regarding it. Also there are lots of seating places. We walked in and did not booked a table. PRICE Prices for mains typically range from £11 to £13. Drink prices are from £3, and they serve you in a glass which is good. However the ginger ale that one of our team ordered tasted water down. Service charge is 10%. For group of 4 we ended up paying almost £80 for 1 starter, 4 mains and 4 drinks. The price for the starter was quite pricey, the sweet chilli chicken. Also they don't have menus, you need to select or place your order using your phone and pinging it to a QR Code. OVERALL I am seating on the fence here to recommend this place. One of our team who ate with us said he had been here quite few times, and sometimes their food are tasty, and other days are not so good. This is a Korean restaurant like others, and there are so many in New Malden. But what makes this unique is the aesthetics of Korean decoratives, they also have Karaoke nights. I would want to go back to try other dishes, because I was not happy with my calamari rice. Also one thing I disliked about this place was the watered down ginger ale, and watered down stew. I would say try it once, it is nice to have a Korean meal with Korean decorations.

Went here on a Friday night, was a good atmosphere. The starters were very nice, having to cook on the grill left a little to be desired as it wasn't as flavourful as the starters. However, the cocktails were nice. It was rather expensive but a good night, nice staff and not too busy.

Very disappointing service. We arrived at 6pm when the restaurant wasn't full. The waiter asked us to sit next to another family, when there were many empty tables in the other side of the restaurant. I asked to sit on the other side of the restaurant, but the waitress disregarded my request saying that other guests will be arriving in half an hour's time. The restaurant was then quiet so it was awkward to sit next to a table so close to us, as we could hear each other's conversations. We had chopsticks missing from our table and asked for them. We were told that they've run out of metal chopsticks and were served with disposable, wooden ones like in a fast food restaurant. They also ran out of beer that we wanted so we had to order a different type. The food was ok but expensive for what it was. The pork dish was nice but the seafood bibimbap was a huge let down. It didn't have an egg and no kimchi, wasn't authentic and the prawns came with shells on. During dinner, no one came & asked if we're happy with things. The bad service really put me off, especially they automatically add 10% service on the bill without even trying... Won't go back.

We waited an hour for our food. The rice was undercooked. There was only one chef and one poor boy running the restaurant. The food kept arriving in small parts. Bbq meat is extortionate prices £50 per plate with no seasoning or marinade! The Chinese tea for 12 of us had enough hot water in for it 3 cups! The boy was too busy to take any extra orders or deliver us our drinks we virtually took them from the bar and served ourselves!! It’s a complete rip off and the management should be ashamed of themselves leaving one poor teenager to run the place. We will never go back there and they have lost 12 customers. Food was really underwhelming over cooked rock hard chicken wings, lukewarm tea, tough tasteless bbq and hard grains in the undercooked rice! We spent nearly £300 to have the worst customer service ever and the worst food in a very long time. I’m surprised at the pictures because our bbq was not even marinaded just a plate of meat. The chef was also really young kept coming out to stare at our table and looked clueless was not Korean either had no clue what to do. We felt so so sorry for this boy! How the manager can just leave him by himself to serve us and about 4 other tables is a joke we tipped him just for the inconvenience which is what we felt like instead of worthy customers

Great location. Amazing interior. Service was decent too.However, food was very average( almost bland) and overpriced. Went for karaoke after dinner. We booked for 2 hours but half the time, the mictophones failed to work so we left early. Wont be coming back again.

AWFUL SERVICE DONT GO The atmosphere was beautiful and conveniently located next to New Malden Station. I ordered the started of pancakes, dumplings which was delicious. However, when I tried the stew , it was EXTREMELY spicy and I can’t take too much spice as I have a stomach ulcer and can get very sick and it was £11 which is pricey. They don’t help you at all. Literally apologized and told the waiter that it’s too spicy, i didn’t eat any of the items and even mentioned that I can exchange it with another main that’s a pound extra! They were rude and didn’t even take that or even want to solve this problem as they were concerned of ‘wasting food’. Not my problem! In restaurants, you have to care for customers and they simply didn’t even with my health condition. I didn’t even eat the food and its ludacris they expect me to pay for something I didn’t eat. Also, my companion ordered the stew which came with the rice as mentioned on menu, but only received the stew, and no rice. You have to pay extra. The menu is pricey and lacking This used to be a great place, but this service is a disappointment, and embarrassing for the community of New Malden and London.

Very good. Korean barbecue and excellent fried chicken. Recommend.

Solid Korean BBQ. You will need some basic grilling skills as you will be expected to cook. The staff were happy to explain us how to do it, and then this gave us the flexibility to choose exactly how cook each meat would be. The service it is outstanding and the place is very spatious. If you want to go with family, aim for the early evening because the place converts from a dinner to a party place as the evening progresses.

It is difficult to extend hours on Friday evening. It’s a shame we can only sing karaoke for 1 hour ㅜㅜ

Such a shame as my family and I used to go here for years and the food was always very good. It was always one of the top restaurants to go to for the Korean community. Don’t know what happened - I think they must have changed the chefs - food was disgusting. That is not even an understatement. The bean sprouts were rotten!! The meat tasted funny (I think also a bit rotten) and the japchae wasn’t authentic at all! It had chilli oil in it and tasted like Chinese food. In the end, I got a bad viral stomach bug the day after and still suffering after a few days. Please sort yourselves out - perhaps by changing the chefs first!! Advise people to not go here in the meantime…..

This is the best place to experience everything about Korea. From drinks and party food to Korean BBQ and karaoke. In addition, the beer garden in a very spacious and comfortable environment, the drinking area where smoking is allowed, and food and draft beer can be ordered quickly by using the QR code. Korean traditions, Korean taste, Korean culture, Korean cocktails, Korean alcohol... It is the best place to experience everything about Korea. Drinks, party food, Korean barbecue, and even karaoke. This restaurant was touted by friends as fantastic for Korean food, one of the best in New Malden. It was based on their last visit, which was a year ago. So both us and our lunch group had high expectations. Alas, this was not to be. Han has become hit and miss place it seems. Pajeon tasted sourish, as was the Namu starter veg (unfortunately). The chap jae wasn't authentic and was mixed with chilli. We ordered four rice bowls, but they could only deliver three. As some of the dishes tasted "off", we inquired and the waiter promised to follow up with the kitchen but never came back with an answer. The one salvation for Han was the squid and pork dish, such was good but expensive. Overall, Han's prices are dear but for tl what you pay, one would expect more. Our party left very disappointed.

very unique interior but it was almost empty when we ate there, i believe it was a thursday. we ordered a kbbq set (bulgogi) between 3 people and also a budae jigae. the meat was not bad and the kimchi (free). there was also a free salad which looked a bit sad but was not bad. other than those, there was no free banchan as with traditional kbbqs the budae jigae was not bad although i don’t think there was a lot of noodles in there. overall i don’t think its the best place for kbbq in new malden as we walked down the high street later and there were several places which looked even better, even though Han was ranked first on some blog we found online i don’t think i will return here or recommend for people visiting new malden and want to try kbbq

I visited on a Monday and the staff working here were very friendly. The soju cocktail was fantastic. It was a really attractive bar restaurant. I was fascinated by the taste of Korean kicktail. I will go every week with my friend.

I feel terrible leaving a review but honestly I have never been to such a poorly run restaurant. From the lack of staff knowing how the menu works to the lack of clean forks, to the dirty toilets and lastly poor quality cold food with a high price tag. Avoid avoid avoid, there are much better places to eat in New Malden.

A few good late nights out at this place. Karaoke is the highlight.

The restaurant's atmosphere is fantastic, the staff is extremely friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious. However, please keep in mind that you can easily overorder food, and they do provide takeaway containers just in case.

I have never written a bad review before… I have worked at restaurants and understand how difficult things can be when you’re understaffed or things get backed up… but this was honestly the most disappointing dining experience I’ve ever had. I should start by saying that I booked this probably 6 weeks ago for my husband’s 40th birthday dinner. His sisters whole family had flown in to celebrate and I thought it’d be so special to bring him to a fun place with his favorite cuisine… Korean bbq. The reviews were amazing, it was featured in reputable food blogs so I thought this was the perfect place. I should have known it was going to be a rocky experience when 30% of their menu wasn’t available due to just shortages of food. Not a great sign but the world is experiencing troubles more than ever so we were understanding. They then said that their frier was broken so they couldn’t serve us Korean fried chicken which was one of my husbands favorites. Another disappointment. It went from not great to worse as they continued to come back to the table and tell us that they were out of almost everything and then bring us very subpar food throughout the night. The food was under seasoned, the grilled took forever to get hot (which would be forgivable if the meal wasn’t already so frustrating to start). I asked at one point what was going on and that this was really disappointing as it was my husbands birthday… barely an apology. Then my sister in law went to ask if they could get him some special dessert and their response was that they don’t really have anything but we could go to the Tesco express next door. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. I was so shocked and hate to complain to the servers as my guess was that this was not their fault and one of them seemed to be brand new… but there was no offer of comping anything or even real apologies. If they are delivering this kind of experience they should close down for the day- it is completely unacceptable and something I can never get back for him. I will never go back and have only written this in hopes that they will not ruin someone else’s special night because of their lack of organisation. Maybe this was a one off and not the norm, but you need to warn your patrons that you are understaffed and out of food if that is the case… we would’ve been disappointed but I would have rather scrapped together a last minute plan than had this be our experience on such an important night.

First time trying to have a Korean food, restaurant full and only one person very busy serving tables. Although we had a booking we were given a table for one hour only. In a rush we ordered whatever sea food dish we saw. The food was too fishy for us. We left the plates half full and gone. Thank you.

Great interiors but that’s about it. Plenty of better tasting Korean restaurants to chose from. Our waitress seemed rather put out every time we asked her for something like water, or an extra bowl to share soup.

Worst Korean restaurant, wish i had read the reviews first. We were not told ordering was through QR, but it didn' t take us long to figure it out. the food was served very slowly and the portion sizes were very small for the price, drinks too was expensive. we also had the bbq set 1 and 4, very disappointed. The meat was not very fresh and the rib eye had been defrosted in the microwave and was partially cooked on the edges, the marinade seemed like it came straight out of a jar and was very sweet. The grill was not hot enough to create a real bbq experience and there was no ventilation. definitely not coming back.

Poor man power resulting in poor service, no cutlery or tables clean and ready, food was all warm and I don't even want to talk about the stone bowl rice. When doing any BBQ the meat should be raw and the grill should be piping hot and yet I find both parts some how screwed up with the edges of the meat being somehow cooked when should be raw??? And the grill took over half an hour to heat up. Even then the meat were over seasoned. In the end when paying to leave, as disappointed as I was, the face of the waiter was several times worse. To conclude I am terribly disappointed that this can be called a Korean restaurant.

Extremely unique interior. We didn't know we needed to make a reservation but nevertheless they managed to seat us somewhere. I would definitely recommend booking a table so you can have access to ordered the Korean bbq menu options. The service was good, however my friends food took so long to come about 30 minutes from the time mine arrived. We alerted the staff and they apologized and took away the service fee from the bill. This is a place I would definitely come to again to have the full experience of the karaoke and Korean bbq options.

Service was great, portions were large (comparable to price), and the aesthetics of the place is cool. Went for lunch and ordered the seafood panjeon, yukgaejang, and a BBQ set. Came out very full and a leftovers enough for a whole meal.

It's so hard to eat, the meat is completely tasteless, the service attitude is not good, it's expensive and it's hard to eat. It was never like this before, but it's so bad that I'll feel full after eating it. Avoid at all cost, tasteless and expensive meat, fried chicken uses fish and chips batter sauce!! who does that? was planning to recommend this place on my channel when visit , now very dispassionted

Could be a really tight venue, the staff are informed and helpful, food I've gotten here is always good, however there's just a standard you'd expect and after booking a karaoke room a day in advance to be put in a smaller room with a hole in the sofa was a bit shabby. The system is a bit dated but we did get the hang of it. All in all we had a great time doing karaoke and I appreciated the free shots. A BYOB or more affordable drinks would go a long way.

Had a Sunday lunch with friends here. There is a barcode on the table & you have to use it on your phone to order you meal & drinks. I found it to be a little pricey considering the competition in the area but overall it was pretty good placeto eat. The guy who served us was really friendly & helpful too.

It was my first time in this place and the service was very bad. I have been to other restuarants in New Malden and wanted to try here but I wont be coming back here or recommending it to anyone. We did not feel welcomed when we arrived. Staffs werent bothered or interactive. We placed the order through the QR code and food arrived pretty fast but there were no tablewares to eat. We ordered bbq, lettuce and other stuffs to eat with bbq. Bbq arrived but the sides didnt come. Had to tell the staff few times but they didnt seem to bother. We ordered 2 tteokbokki but only received one. Got charged for both which we sorted at the end but not happy with the experience at all.

Honestly, the food is much better than the Korean restaurant in New Malden. The reviews said it wasn't good, so I just drank alcohol without even thinking about ordering it, but I was hungry, so I ordered Budae Jjigae, Tofu Bibimbap, Chicken Gangjeong, Fried Shrimp, and Seafood Bibimbap, and it was so delicious that I ate the whole thing haha. Try it without prejudice. It's really delicious!!!!! I ate everything else so I didn't have any dishes, so I just took a picture of the remaining dishes!

They are shot staff, waiting 10 minutes for a beer , almost no waiter to ask for a napkin or salt ... , I ordered some sea food for starter it was mostly onions and pepper than any sea food 👎first and last time .

I wished we'd have checked the reviews before coming here because our experience was not pleasant. They have switched to the QR scans to place your order but we were not informed once seated and waiting about 10 minutes until a member of staff walked past to ask and that's when we were told. The food took an hour to arrive and the staff said they would come back with plates but never did until asked. It would have been understandable if they had forgotten due to it being busy but it wasn't with only a few tables. Overall, the service was very poor as staff didn't seem very interactive and bothered to check with their customers. Didn't feel very welcoming. The food wasn't that great either, I felt very unwell after leaving the restaurant and ended up being sick on the way home. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

Great service of tasty food followed by fun karaoke

I loved the Shrimp Vibimpap so much! First time there and the first impressions on the food is amazing. The service was okay, covid times so we just ordered on our phones so there was little interaction. Really nice place with cool seating though!

We ordered the BBQ set 1 which was super yummy but I think I expected slightly more for the price (especially considering the BBQ sets were supposedly recommended for 3 people and we had to pay separate for rice). If you want to go for karaoke I’d probably book in advance, especially on busier days, because they most likely won’t have any room for walk-ins as it seems to be fairly popular! All in all, Korean BBQ is always and exciting experience.
