K-Town in Kingston upon Thames

I've been a loyal visitor to K Town BBQ over a year, but sadly, each visit feels like a new low in an Olympic competition of disappointment. Last night was the grand finale: my wife found a hair lounging in her rice like it was on vacation. When we reported it, the staff graciously offered us... wait for it... a £6 refund on a drink. The rice? The hair? The trauma? Apparently, all free of charge! We even asked the club manager to intervene and call the restaurant owner. The response? A hard no on the refund. Perhaps hair is now a premium topping. To top it all off, my stomach has been doing somersaults ever since. It's been 24 hours, and my digestive system has gone on strike. Not sure if I need a doctor or an exorcist at this point. Moral of the story: K Town BBQ used to be good. Now it’s more like “K, I'm Done.” Proceed with caution—and maybe bring your own rice.

It's a bit hectic but you get your damn moneys worth and they have a nice variety of raw meats, including beef ribs and baby octopus

Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The staff were extremely rude and made us feel as though we were not welcome. I was shocked when the food was served — it was cold, stale, and completely unappetizing. My friends and I had a very unpleasant evening, and it was far from a good experience. I would not recommend this place at all — even one star feels generous.

Quite alot variety on food. Not much services they provide they just keep giving notification to us left how much time we left. Very poor arrangement we are 5 adults just giving us a small square table with one grilled the size is just enough max of 3 paxs. We really can't even enjoy. If anyone have a big group book saperately. I'm not going to recommend to anyone. The restaurant was busy and have guests queuing up. Is not the way to do a business to give 1 table for 5 or 6 adults in 90 minutes to finish the meals. The worst buffet I haven't had before.

Went tonight with my partner and her sister and 2 children the food was amazing so fresh and a great selection will definitely be back! Also want to say the staff are lovely and definitely a credit to you so attentive and nice.

K-Town BBQ is a little more expensive, but the taste and satisfaction are worth it! The meat is fresh and of good quality, and you can adjust the doneness of the meat yourself. The appeal is that you can enjoy the best bite whenever you want. The staff are also very nice, and the service is excellent, like pouring water frequently and giving advice on how to grill the food. This is the perfect restaurant for days when you want a little luxury. I will definitely repeat it again!

Korean foods grill restaurant at the heart of London. Brilliantly Korean foods Yummylicious. Eat all you can it’s quite pricey but worthy Staff are attentive and it’s good they’ve provided us with ice cubes 👍✅

Came to the restaurant from far away and despite what they say on the website the staff sent us away saying they are closing soon. Appalling service.

It is exactly what you want from an all you can eat BBQ place. The meat itself is of great quality and has its array of chicken, pork, prawn, squid, beef and has mushrooms and onions if you fancy grilling some of those to go alongside your meats. Decent selection of sushi and dumplings to scallion pancakes and pickled vegetables like kimchi and pickled radish. I wouldn't recommend if you're vegetarian, but they do offer options like soft tofu and vegetarian dumplings and soups. Desert is lacking but it's ok because the main idea is to fill up on BBQ. They offer bottled water but also have tap water jugs you can take for the table. They regularly change the hotplates to make sure they place doesn't smoke up and with everyone grilling and chatting it makes for a great hour and a half challenge. There is a £10 charge for food wastage so don't be too greedy.

Great selection of bbq meats, sushi, hot foods and salad bar. Prepare to queue if it’s a weekend at peak time as it gets busy. It’s a bit on the pricey side though at £33 a person. Overall a good time out!

I go to a lot of buffets but I can proudly say that this is my favourite out of all the ones I have been to. It is not often you come across a buffet where the cleanliness is top notch but this restaurant really stands out. I have visited twice now and both times, all the cutlery, plates and bowls are cleaned to a high standard which makes such a difference. It is clear they take hygiene and presentation seriously so that was something I really appreciate. We opted for the buffet priced at £33 per person and honestly it was totally worth it. They also have a lunchtime buffet for £17 but it does not include the BBQ section. If you want to experience the full range, I highly recommend going for the £33 buffet. The selection of food is fantastic. You will find all the usual favourites like rice, fried rice, japchae, chicken wings, sushi rolls, soups, kimchi pancake and vegetables. While everything was delicious, what really stood out to me was the meat section. You get the opportunity to cook your own meats on the BBQ right at your table and it is easy to use. The meats were so tender and flavourful. There was a good variety including lamb, pork, chicken, pork sausages and even seafood. The BBQ aspect really makes this place special and it adds to the overall fun dining experience. I actually came here about three years ago and I am happy to say that the quality has remained consistent. In fact it is just as amazing as I remembered. The attention to detail in both the food and the dining environment is impressive and I can tell that the restaurant has maintained high standards over the years. As for dessert, it is a simple selection but satisfying. There is a selection of ice cream flavours from chocolate, strawberry and vanilla with a few cake options to choose from. It is not overly extravagant but it is the perfect way to end the meal. The staff here are wonderful; they were very polite, attentive and service minded. They make sure you are well taken care of throughout your meal which definitely enhances the overall experience. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed; with a comfortable and inviting atmosphere that makes it an enjoyable place to spend time with friends or family. You can also purchase drinks for an additional charge which gives you some flexibility if you want to add something to your meal. Overall, I can confidently say that this place is one of my favourite buffet spots and I would definitely return. If you are a fan of buffets, especially ones where you can enjoy grilling your own meat, then this is a must visit. I highly recommended.

Buffet dinner at £33.00 per person (half price at lunchtime). There were steamed dumplings, tempura battered prawns, egg fried rice, spicy chicken wings as well as plain ones, glass noodles, sushi rolls and soups to name a few. The refrigerated raw meat and seafood section is possibly where you want to focus on cooking your own food on the BBQ: plain and marinated meats (pork, chicken, lamb, sausages, short ribs, etc.); seafood: squid, prawns in the shell. There is a good selection of vegetables too. Dessert consisted of ice cream with various toppings. The staff are attentive and helpful. The BBQ hot plate was changed to a fresh one without being asked to do so. Used plates and bowls were removed after use. The only criticism I have is the lack of vegetarian options available compared to the array of meat and seafood options on offer.

Quality Korean bbq, good quality options to pick from. A bit weird they are looking to charge for lettuces thou. It should be included as part of the bbq.

Great experience dining with my family. Fresh and wide variety of food. Staff were very friendly, helpful and attended us all the time. Definitely worth the money and highly recommend this restaurant for Korean BBQ.

The restaurant has an ok atmosphere, the concept of cooking meat is a great idea. Upon walking in, the receptionist was disregarding, tending to other customers who came after. Little acknowledgement from receptionist could have been communicated. The standard and quality of food were not as expected. There should have been more options for cooked food other than wings and shrimp which some were undercooked. The rice and other side options had no flavour. The pricing is little expensive for the quality of food that we had. Do not think I would dine back any time soon.

really disappointed with the experience. One of the main issues was the very limited selection of food. The variety of dishes was far less than expected, and several items were either unavailable or not replenished promptly.

Be aware! This restaurant is not the original KOREAN restaurant anymore! It’s now running by some rude non-Korean people! Seyeed the reception is super rude and keeps shouting people.He should be removed from the sites. The situation we encountered today will be published on all Asian websites. We have waited for 3 hours up to now and still not been assigned a table. Seyeed is keep letting people without the QR code in but not updating the waiting website. Shame on him, I would never come back and so as my friends.

Always love eating here. There’s great variety of food and I love the BBQ experience. The beef ribs are best and there’s sushi and Korean fried chicken. Love everything about this place

This Korean BBQ place was great; I went with my co-workers. Although I do not eat meat, I was able to get something to eat. The menu offered a variety of delicious vegetable dishes that were surprisingly flavorful. We all enjoyed the lively atmosphere and the sizzling sounds from the grill, which added to the overall experience. My colleagues were impressed by the quality of the food, and I felt included in the meal despite my dietary restrictions. By the end of the night, we were all sharing laughs and planning our next outing together.

I would book in advance, the food is good, good variety of uncooked and cooked if you don't fancy cooking, you have to figure it all out yourself but pretty much common sense. It was a bit loud as some customers had a bit too much to drink. Overall would go again

Fantastic. While the cost of entry is high you get so much choice that it is 100% worth it. The freedom to pick and choose whatever is great, and the food waste penalty fee is something I appreciate. Desert is a little lacking but you will be gorged on so much BBQ that I can't complain.

The reason for the visit to this restaurant is that it was recommended to me. Four of us went there on a Saturday evening. We had to wait in a very small and crowded area for around 10 minutes to be seated, and the bill had to be paid prior to being seated. (This was a standard £33 per person buffet). Once at our table, we helped ourselves to beer, etc, which you paid for when leaving. The food you cook yourself, basically you put what you want on a plate take it back to your table and cook it there. (There is a type of BBQ in the middle of your table) The seating isn't very comfortable. We sat on a bench type seating where you can lift up the top and put your coat and bags in. Although there was plenty of meat to choose from, I must say it wasn't the greatest quality. We had to ask several times for the area where the rice, noddles, etc were to be replenished. This was quite slow in being done. After not a great evening out, all our clothes stunk of cooking. Sorry but we won't be going back

Food is great, is well worth the price. Staff is friendly, and big respect working all of them in this restaurant. Prepare that as everyone is "cooking" the atmosphere will be smokey.

Great selection of foods and meats! There is a long wait time so if you want to eat as soon as the restaurant opens you will want to line up earlier. One problem I had was that the fried rice were gummy and the sushi ran out often and didn't get replaced quickly, but that's the only criticism I can give.

I had a terrible experience! The cucumber kimchi was spoiled, I ended up having food poisoning for a week. Only recovering now!

Came here because everytime I drove past there was a queue. Don't be fooled, the queue is just because you need to pay before sitting down. Food was good but selection of meat could be better. Atmosphere was too loud due to the constant cooking and loud conversations of people trying to talk over it. Shame cos it was really hard to have a chat with my group. The restaurant should also offer free showers and laundry after as we came out stinking of cooking. Really nasty way to come home stinky of charred meat. It was nice to experience but won't be returning I'm afraid, the novelty of cooking at the table isn't worth it.

Decent variety of food, more like an Asian mix (Korean, Chinese, Japanese) with some normal BBQ. Hot dishes are just okay, not that tasty, and the menu is always the same. Plenty of meat options for the barbecue, but it’s not authentic Korean BBQ—just regular grilled meat. The sushi wasn’t great either. Overall, it’s fine if you’re not expecting anything special.

Worst and least authentic Asian BBQ I've ever tried I'm not exactly an Asian BBQ connoisseur by any means, but I have tried quite a few in various parts of the world and I can say that this is the only I've been to where all the meat and seafood are marinated in the same basic marinade which was immediately disappointing, especially paired with the poor quality of the meat itself. When we arrived we were told that we would have an hour and a half, but when the restaurant began to clear out quicker than they expected, we were forced out after 40 minutes. Also there's a sign in the toilet saying that you can't flush toilet paper, so while having a piss you're forced to stare at an open bin full of used toilet paper, which didn't exactly whet the appetite.

Amount and quality of food is below average. But the staffs and service is good. Price is expensive compare to the food.

Lovely place to eat if you are craving Korean bbq and food. Food was tasty, didn't need to wait too long, all you can eat at reasonable price. I mostly had the bbq chicken and pork which was lean and tasty. Got my full dose of protein for the day 💪

Sayeed the front door staff was very racist and up himself, he was not welcoming at all to us and served people who we were ahead of, then told us we were late due to the color of my friends skin then when he was called up on it he back tracked very typical racist move, would not recommend.

We went to eat here yesterday around 830pm and had our friends come earlier than us (around 730pm). Without knowing there was an hour and a half time limit per session, we arrived an hour late after our friends and we weren't able to eat the meats given the empty trays of ribs and beef when we got there. This assistant manager named Sayeed went to the table to approach and inform us that the group has already maxed out on our stay and he said if we don't finish the food on the plate IN 5-10 MINUTES, he will charge us with the excess food charge. He also said WE HAD TO LEAVE. The food was just freshly cooked and we have not even been there for 30 minutes. There were no more new customers coming in but he was really so stern on the rules that given the overstay, we cannot eat there anymore. I cannot understand WHY HE HAD TO SAY THAT. Why rush the customer into eating that quickly knowing that NO ONE IS EVEN ENTERING THE RESTO ANYMORE GIVEN THAT THEY'RE ABOUT TO CLOSE? He was very inconsiderate and focused on the rules but there was another table who were even earlier than us yet they weren't asked to rush eating. A little compassion can go a long way. If you treat your customers like they are in a game show to rush eating just because they have already reached the time limit (even if we just arrived 25 mins before he came to tell us that), you will definitely not have customers. We were even willing to pay for the overstay fee if that meant not being rushed. Instead, he kept pushing the issue. That was the FIRST AND ONLY time I have experienced a rude encounter in a k-bbq restaurant as I have always frequented buffets myself. We spoke to him properly and we were so polite to ask if we can extend and if we can just finish whatever was left and then we will leave but he kept forcing the issue. Terrible experience and never coming back to this place at all! Such a waste as the food was decent but very poor customer service!

Truly a restaurant I want to visit again! They offer a wide variety of meats, and the buffet options are perfectly prepared, providing a great selection and an elevated dining experience. The fresh vegetables and diverse side dishes made the meal even more satisfying. The staff’s friendly service was exceptional, too. It was a delightful experience to enjoy such a fulfilling meal in a pleasant atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I can eat plenty of meat and delicious Korean food. I go often. Shrimp tempura, tteokbokki, pancakes, sushi and japchae In London, just eating one item costs over 10 pounds. It's great value for money so I go often. Boss, may you be rich ^^

I tried a variety of Korean-style foods with acquaintances. There was a wide selection, including various meats, sushi, other dishes, side dishes, porridge, and ice cream. I think it's the best place to enjoy a diverse and delicious meal. The staff are also very friendly. I highly recommend it as a venue for gatherings with friends or family.

A very popular South Korean restaurant with a buffet barbecue! You only get 90 minutes to eat and you have to pay upfront! drinks are not included. The starters were varied and fairly tasty. The actual barbecue comprised of various meats and fish and crustaceans that you take to your table which has an electrical barbecue on it. There are a variety of sauces and additives that can be put on the barbecue. The desert was just tub ice cream mainly. Overall fairly pleasant but nothing to write home about. The cost was £33 for the food plus drinks. The seating and atmosphere was fairly basic, but still obviously a popular restaurant.

It was one of the best place in UK even good money for value compared to Korea. Food is warm and authentic generous portion of meat staff’s quick service clean toilt I can’t fault anything! We would definitely want to come back🎄

There is plenty of food for what you pay

Ive been coming for years and it's by far the best Korean BBQ in London. They've started being a bit stricter on the length of time you can eat for, but that's fine.

Ordered takeaway service and have given up as never delivered. Ordered from somewhere else. Given the run around telling us food was being prepared / on the way for hours. Will never order from here again as its a waste of time

My friend and I waited an hour to get a table but it was all worth it. However, a South Asian guy with a beard and mustache from front reception treated me the worst way possible. First, he came up to us whilst we’re eating telling me I have not paid yet. I showed him my Apple Pay wallet to show him that money has already been deducted from my account. He said he’ll come back and check with me before we leave because his monitor has not been updated. I said it’s not my fault that your records are not updated. My card has already been charged. He turned around, went back to his so-called monitor at the till and came back to our table to say that it payment has already gone through. Next time he came to us he told us we onlg have 5 minutes. I said it’s okay, we’ll just get some drinks. We’re almost finish with our drinks when he came to us again and said, “2 more minutes and you need to leave because other customers might be angry.” I’ve been to k-town bbq 10x and this is the first time I have been treated so weirdly and rudely by their staff there.

Great value for money, you can easily pile up your money's worth. I recommend the ribeye marinated beef and spicy pork belly and paying the extra for the Ssam

Great korean bbq option. All you can eat for 1 hour 30min. Weekdays are cheaper than weekends. But not a huge difference. The meat was fresh and tasty and so was the seafood. The none bbq options were also nice.

Easy queueing system with QR code and once you're in you can get stuck in with food immediately. Most of the meats are marinated well and the hot grill in the middle of the table worked well. It's a pricey buffet so make sure you bring an empty stomach to get your moneys worth.

Food and atmosphere were really good. Only issue is that its so busy Saturday nights that the reservation and walk-in systems are both a complete mess so you end up having to wait past your reservation time

My friend recommended me this restaurant as he knows how I really love korean bbq. I must say that I should book a table ahead as I didn't know its a popular one, my mistake, needed to wait for almost 1 1/2 hour for our table to be ready. Food wise: compare to all meat that I ate in other bbq restaurant, it doesnt really taste special and i'ts just the same. I'm just maybe excited that there is something special with the meat. It's so greasy that I felt like I'm gonna vomit but other food is okay, specially kimchi fried rice. I love it. Japchae doesnt really taste good for me. Just for me and also the tteokbokki 3/10. Ice cream is great. Other food is great , its just that those I mention that It didnt pass my tastebud. Anyways it's just me and my opinions reviews. Still you got to need to try it guys. Please book ahead of time, you wouldnt want to wait for so long. We went there yesterday, FYI.

Overrated place. Reasonable price I have to admit. If you want lots of BBQ meat then come but if you want TASTY BBQ meat then I suggest not. Staff didn’t know how long the seafood need to be cooked so I had to GG it myself :)))

Front of house (assistant manager) is useless, totally not customer focused, couldn’t care less attitude and extremely rude. I’ve come to ktown multiple times over the past couple of years and never received such disappointing and poor service. On arriving i asked for a table for 2. How could this go wrong? Well, he pointed to the table so we went. We sat. But no service. I asked him about the service and apparently the new thing is to pay first. Ok. Could we pay now? Apparently, despite his fault in understanding the request ‘table for 2’ we had to go to the end of the line. I questioned this and he was very dismissive and walked away. DON’T COME HERE. They no longer respect customers, they treat you like cattle and clearly dont understand the English language least of all customer service. We left and found another Korean restaurant 2 mins away with fabulous food and lovely staff.

Had great food at this place. Price is extremely reasonable for the food you get. Sushi was so fresh and the barbecue plate was changed mid way which high was great. Tables were regularly watched and empty dishes taken away so our table was nice and clean at all times. 90 mins time for bbq was actually plenty time for us as we were done in 65 mins already. Chicken wings were so yummy. Loved the fresh cucumber kimchi. Great service and waiters are very polite. Daughter wanted to eat her birthday meal there and she made great choice by choosing K Town. She was super happy with all the food and so we were. Price in comparison to all you get is a real bargain. Atmosphere was great too. Can’t fault the place and will happily come back often now that we’ve discovered it. Highly recommend it.

I came to this restaurant last year and honestly I had a better memory of the food. The cleanliness of the place and the bathrooms is not enough. The food has no particular flavor, everything very bare, no variation proposed, always the same buffet. With the same amount that I paid you can go elsewhere ordering a la carte food that is certainly of superior quality. I recommend a change on the menu. There is no parking during lunch hours.

Unlimited bbq, and buffet very good and tasty. Could do with a little more fish and veg for bbq tho. All very fresh and good quality. Sushi and dumplings were also lush

Great unlimited Korean BBQ! Good selection of meats (marinated and plain) as well as cooked side dishes and traditional banchan. Really is good value if you know how to K BBQ the right way! Everything is DIY even when collecting your own plates/cutlery. The only annoying thing is that they often change the grill plate which can slow down eating time as you are having to wait for a new plate to heat up. Perhaps their way of slowing you down or maybe just genuinely good practice to change the grill but other Korean BBQ's I have been to do not change it nearly as often as here. 9/10 would recommend.

£31 for the enormous buffet and bbq or £15 for just the buffet! Be rude not to! 3 had bbq I just had buffet and both were great. They loved the bbq esp the squid and prawns. The buffet was more than enough for me, the wings were great, the noodles and rice cakes really nice the beef too. The chicken gizzards were not for me. Nice sushi, lovely fresh salad. The usual seemingly odd dessert of ice cream and cheerios or fruit. All good. Absolutely packed with Korean families and friends. Well worth a drive up the A3

Can never go wrong with a buffet and we did reserve in advance which helped a lot with skipping the queue even at dinner time. Although we did end up taking forever to sit down due to their card machine being super slow and was held back a lot. Food was great and the fried selections were nice as well. Highly recommend to give this place a try but if in bigger groups, reserve in advance!

Unreal experience! Could not recommend more. Get in and scan the QR code and join the queue, keep an eye on your phone for the texts and be ready for your table. It’s that simple! Sayeed and the team were absolutely wonderful! The food was brilliant. They dealt with difficult customers like experts and they have a great policy to discourage food waste. Will 100% be back again! Can’t recommend the spicy pork and kimchi rice enough. Sushi was great too. Do be patient with the team as they are working in an extremely busy environment and providing an amazing service so deserve some grace :) Thanks guys!!

We went out to try KTown as we were in the area as well as it was a friend’s birthday. As expected, we had to queue. It was a long wait of about 50mins. It was worth it tho. Food was really nice, however it was really time pressured. But everything we had was really tasty and yummy. Can’t wait to go back again.

I am vegetarian (not strict - I will eat dishes with oyster sauce/fish sauce/traces of shrimp/crustacean etc) so I was a bit worried as all the reviews mostly mention how much meat there was. However I was pleasantly surprised at the 'vegetarian' options (some contained the fishy stuff above), especially the aubergine was delicious! The dishes weren't explicitly labeled as vegetarian but said whether they included any of the fishy stuff. I was expecting there would be more tofu options. The dessert options were poor. Plenty of staff around filling up the buffet. I think overall it is a little pricey.

Not the authentic steak and chicken. The original has thin slices of meat and this restaurant had meat slices with bones. Overall food variety was great! Service was really good too! I was surprised that you had to pay 2.5 gbp fr lettuce, something i didnt imagine paying for. Something else that really bothered us was that servers are going around checking the food on your table every 2 mins. I was a bit uncomfortable with people looking at me eating. It was nice of them to change the bbq a couple of times but they kept coming around as if we had a school quiz and the teachers were checking if theres any cheating.

Recommended by one of my friends. A delicious Korean BBQ buffet offers a great range of fresh food, including chicken, beef, squid, and shrimp. The time limit is one and a half to enjoy your meal. A few minor cons are the ventilation, there was a noticeable cooking smoking smell. Also, the fried chicken was a bit too sweet and greasy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would consider going back.

The food quality on the day we went was really awful. Expecially the meat. Food was really blad. Servers were very nice but the whole thing was very confusing. Would be a great spot if the food and expecially the meat quality improved.

alright selection, loved the tteokbokki, nice environment & good quick service but raw prawns incredibly low quality and the meats lacked flavour

Best buffet I’ve had, didn’t expect the quality to match that of restaurants (usually buffets purposely add extra salt but food here is appropriately seasoned). There’s a good variety of food to try, from seafood soup to kimchi pancakes, and seaweed salad side. We went at 12pm when they just opened and it was already busy. The downside is that this place is quite noisy so you can’t really hear each other, and it was busy at some point that you had to queue a bit to get food. Time limit is 1.5hour, extra charge if you have food leftover or want to stay longer. We didn’t get around for desserts but already full from the amount of food we tried.
