Visit here for Sunday lunch. We arrived early, establishment was extremely how we were greeted with pleasantries by 2 staff members. Food was lovely although there was a queue so wait time queuing was around 10 mins. Plenty of food good variety with constant topping up when supplies run low Will return again

We have been here many times. Most recent visit made us realise probably not again. This place is in need of an update and refurb. It's just shabby now. Dirty carpets. Food areas often not cleaned regularly. I realise some customers do not show the best table manners when dropping items all over the place when piling up their plates but this needs monitoring. Shown to table. There was food was on one of the chairs. The veg was lukewarm on this occasion. Also one of the most offputting things about here. The staff who carve always wear the most gruesomely dirty whites. It's gross quite frankly and puts you off before you even start serving yourself. Plus side is the staff are always friendly. This is definitely not a special occasion eating out experience place sorry. Won't be returning in a hurry I'm afraid. Below average.

Popped in on Wednesday was told by one of your waitress that there was an offer on £6 for a carvery. Which was good news for us..was served by Tionne she was very attentive and would like to thank her for the best cappuccino I've had in ages it was so nice and my friends bailey and coco was amazing thanksTionne.so was the carvery 10/10 😊

The service from Anna was fantastic, what a lovely lady with excellent customer service skills.. The carvery was ok, Yorkshire pudding's were so flat they were uneatable , and thelamb was fatty. I would of liked to have seen Broccoli on the menu but apart from that good choice of veg.. I can not simply believe, you eat your carvery first then pay after, it's a shocking poor decision from those in charge and totally unfair on there staff that work there to risk their own safety chasing after dishonest people who don't want to pay ( please change this rule as I feel it would not only benefit Tody , but also the staff just trying to do a job there Lovely relaxing friendly warm environment Thank you Anna for making us so welcome ,it was a pleasure to meet you

Visited Toby Burnt Tree this evening using a Wowcher experience voucher. The food was excellent, hot fresh and plenty of it. We were served by Sarah who was helpful, professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend eating here and we will be returning soon.

Great service even in this heat . Tionne was great :-) Never had a bad meal ever here and saves cooking at home. The breakfast is great too .

Over rated and poor quality carvery , have had much better in other places, the outside of the pub is falling apart with rotten timbers everywhere, carvery had a fair selection of meats but only a small amount, veg was lacking in flavour and the graveyard was pretty poor , overall I think it’s overrated. One great part was my sweet was damn good 👍 Also far too many kids running around especially when you are carrying food back to your table.

Food was great- I had vegetarian option plus great selection of veg and lovely roast potatoes and parsnips. Waitress( Anna) was brilliant. Attentive, cheerful and efficient from the moment we sat down. She ensured we had everything we needed and checked that all was ok with our meals. She really went over and above, and was so bubbly it was infectious. A shining example of how to put the customer first.!

Wow what can I say, from the warm welcome by staff and then when we approached the breakfast buffet area we were greeted by the chef John and his team, he checked all items were fresh and uncovered the other pots of something was looking low or been there a little bit, then the breakfast itself was awesome the sausage and bacon were cooked to perfection and very tasty, everything was piping hot and the eggs were still hot and runny just how I like them and the additional of the cubed potatoes with cheese and bacon running through just added to the excellent experience. Well the very reasonable cost of two breakfasts and 2 coffees =£17.96 was a very welcoming surprise too thank you for an amazing breakfast to travel home to the north east, totally set us up for the day p.s we turned up 15 mi s before the breakfast ended and the food was served piping hot and fresh still

We were a massive family that came on 31st of March for a birthday dinner and everyone mentioned his attitude and how he was. The breakfast was absolutely disgusting . I paid £16.19 for a kids breakfast and an adults one . With one refillable drink . The bacon was really fatty, the Yorkshire pudding nearly pulled my tooth out was rock hard . Man was rude and didn’t have no time and day for you . Man who was the chef was huffing and puffing because I asked him to get a child’s plate as there wasn’t any . Worse breakfast ever . The carvery’s are nice but the breakfast was horrible . I could have got a cheaper meal from McDonald’s or hungry horse that tastes and value for money .

First visit to Toby Dudley will not be returning, on arrival cleanliness of the carpark was quite off putting, beer bottles left from the night before , dirty ash trays still left on the tables from the night before . Rubbish all over the carpark, food was only just warm , chef came out of the kitchen and considering it was only 8.30 am his chef's overalls looked like they needed a good wash . Cutlery that was given had to be wiped before use . I'll stick to Quinton Toby in future

Really friendly staff Kirsty in particular went out of her way to be helpful and provided outstanding customer service. Meal was good, traditional roast. Great for a roast at a very reasonable price.

Sat next to a rowdy family who were very intimadating to the point we had to leave 1/2 way through our meal as the staff wouldn’t ask them to leave cause they may give them a bad review, well they got one any way won’t be going back to this Toby sorry

One of the worst carveries we have had or not. Tried to rush meat serving through but didn’t help as folks helping themselves to the “veg’ held everyone up. The veg were insipid, no boiled potatoes, roasts were burnt & all stuck together, looked like they had been scraped out of what they had been cooked in !! Mash potato was something like you were served at school not in a restaurant. Turkey could have been done with being cooked longer, looked slimey & still red when chef pulled his fork out, pork & lamb were okay. Sauce bowls were all empty & this was after we had to ask for the tables in the bar to be cleared so we could dine in there. Not a cheap carvery and others locally better quality & value, disappointing

Meal was passable. The amount of turkey and pork i was given was very short rations. They had all the vegetables that I like. I refused the yorkshire as i prefer more veg. As we went early, the veg were still fresh, I've been in the past when they were dried up. They had scratchings which the two of the party who tried them said they were vile. Two had yorkshire puddings which one of them didn't think edible. I would have had a dessert but the choice was rather limited and not very interesting, so I didn't have one. Waitress who served us was very pleasant. Only two of us ate everything we had. I was one of those but only because I only put as much as I would eat anyway. I only went because that's where the family chose to go. Last time about a year or so I didn't enjoy it so never went back. I used to go every week for Sunday lunch, but that was over 20 years ago.

Went for a Carvery with the family. Got there early, but still got our table straight away. Prompt service. Excellent food. Great staff & atmosphere. Excellent value.

Ordered a carvery which I was so looking forward to. Delivered from just eat which was delivered on time. I had carvery for 1 which included the pigs in blankets. What an absolute disappointment 2 pieces of beef & 1 piece of Pork, Yorkshire pudding was like cardboard & pigs in blankets coverd in grease. Absolutely not worth the money. Carvery was lovely but the manager was absolutely horrible. My rating used to be 5 but really it deserves a 1 now simply because you have a rude manager that can't manage.

Mash potato was very disgusting, the pork was tasteless, roast potatoes very greasy. The only good thing was the Yorkshire pudding and the gravy.

Booked the table for 5pm as a little treat as my one son had had an operation the week prior and said he’d really like a carvery as it’s usually his favourite but this one was a huge disappointment. The Toby carvery we usually go to was fully booked, so decided to try this one. Anyway we were a little early, we arrived at 4.45pm but it was 5.30pm when we eventually got shown to a table after chasing it up. As you can imagine by this point the kids were bored and my one son was getting a bit uncomfortable from standing around. We then waited another 10 minutes for a waitress to order pigs in blankets, and another 25 minutes in the queue to get our carvery. By the time we eventually got back to the table the pigs in blankets had arrived but had gone stone cold, someone had dumped a plate of half eaten food on our table and after all that the meal was disgusting. Everything was cold, the variety of veg was poor the mash had lumps in it the meat was dry none of it actually tasted fresh and the gravy was like water. We will not be returning we are a family of 7 and to be honest I could have to the kids to McDonald’s for less than half the price of this carvery, at least they would have enjoyed McDonald’s

We arrived and was kept waiting to be seated for ten minutes. It was not busy. I had to go and find staff to mention we were waiting. Staff noticed us standing at the door but we were ignored. Once seated a friendly staff took my order as l did not want the Carvery. I enjoyed the meal. My family had the Carvery. My son came back to the table without a meal. He explained a fly flew onto his food while being served at the Carvery counter and was not offered another plate of food. He was disappointed and chose not to eat. The rest of the family said the Carvery food was bland. Trying to get the attention if staff was ridiculous. We wanted to order drinks. There was staff serving on another table so we asked another staff who refused to serve us and complained to another staff we were asking her to serve us. She was appalled and asked another staff to serve us drinks. We normally leave a tip but could not as it was not justified. We will not visit Toby Burnt Tree again.

Our first visit for a while but won't be visiting again. Booked for 7.50pm after returning from holiday. The lady who bought our drinks was very friendly, that said the food was awful and customers not much better. The person carving the meat looked like he needed to change his uniform as it was filthy and it doesn't give a good impression when serving food. Toilets were disgusting !
