Donna was our server and she was brilliant very attentive and happy to help with anything. Will definitely return and hopefully get Donna as our waitress again.

Can’t remember ever having witnessed such appalling service in a restaurant. Three dozen or more queuing for the carvery and barely moved for 15 minutes. All stood watching the one person who was “serving” spend his time cutting meat and filling plastic tubs for Just Eat deliveries. Poor lad then getting pelters from some in the Queue. I eventually gave up and returned to my table finished by drink and left to buy a fish supper… that’s a first in all my years dining out! Takes a special kind of inept management see, and not see, that restaurant guests should not be made to stand around forever watching one person shovel all the available food into plastic tubs and then whisked out the door. Girl serving was apologetic and embarrassed but was also not anything new as apparently “if you think this is bad you should see it on a Sunday”

Visited (couple) on 3rd March for the Carvery after recommendation from friends. Need to say, we were very dissapointed. Stood for 45 minutes in the queue for the Carvery which is way too long for any dining experience. Food was also dissapointing. Think I may need new friends!!.....as we will not be returning. Very dissapointing.

Had the carvery on Sunday 18/2/24. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff lovely too .Only thing I would say is maybe they should keep an eye on the temperature of the serving spoon handles as I tried to help myself to some veg and burnt my fingers on two of the spoon handles.

Went for family meal today, 30th January, and we were met by Pauline, who led us to our table, explained the workings of the carvery, and took our drink order. We got our food, which was a good portion, and hot, with large yorkie pudding. Pauline checked everything was good with the food. She engaged with the family, and was happy to chat. Very pleasant, always very cheery with everyone at the tables. Asked for our bill, and it was delivered quickly. All in all a great night out, an great service from Pauline.

Came today for the Sunday carvery. The food was delicious, and Will was an absolutely fantastic server. Look forward to returning.

Web site said open all morning (sunday), turned up to be told it eas 12 noon, but would be late as carver had slept in!!, but made an excuse that it was because he was on Saturday night. Not my issue. The food however was all out, drying up nicely under the heat lamps. Eventually opened about 12:20pm, with a replacement carver, who couldnt have cut meat any thinner with a slicer, and beef was still chewy. Roasties etc all dried out, and brick hard. Tasteless gravy as well. Very poor value for money for effectively a plate of stodge. Asked Toby twitter/x account about meat policy, thickness/weight, and how a customer could verify, but they wouldnt answer, and said I need to take up with franchise owner. As said, 2 slices of very thin, small end of meat, is not the same as. 2 slices of 2mm large slices. Felt very poor value, and wont be back. Much better value about.

Came to Toby for a spot of lunch and it didn’t disappoint food was great and good selection of vegetables on the deck the beef was fantastic and tender, Yorkshire puddings were so big and delicious I don’t think I’ve ever seen them that size, service was great Madison your staff member is a credit to your company very professional, I will definitely be returning on my travels thank you for a wonderful experience

Food was wonderful, Yorkshire’s are particularly amazing! I cannot praise my server Will highly enough. He found me a great seat out of the way so I could concentrate on my work emails, explained the menu and order process to me. But most of all he was super friendly and kept me company with a friendly chat, which is always a blessing when traveling alone for work. Service was above and beyond! I will certainly be back next time I’m in the area. Thank you again Will! :-)

We come here every so often and the food and service is just great every time! On this occasion our server, Madison, was brilliant. Very kind and no request was too big for her!

This was by far the worst Sunday roast myself and partner have ever had , for one the gammon lamb Turkey and roast beef where not cut in slices , in fact they where cut like wafer thin packs of cold meet you get for sandwiches, we also made a comment to the guy behind the counter that he couldn’t cut it any thinner , the roast beef was so chewy and tough, the roast potatoes where hard . The Mac cheese could have been doing with some cheese as it was so dry and tasteless , the cauliflower and mash potatoes where alright but not much of it as the trays needed refilled , the gravy was tasteless too , the nicest part was the dessert, our waiter was nice and friendly , we will not be back as it was really disappointing ,

We love going here for the carvery. It is amazing. On this occasion, Will was our server. He was so lovely. He was very welcoming when we arrived. Throughout our visit he was really attentive (not intrusive), ensuring we had everything we needed. He was pretty funny, throwing in a couple of wee jokes, making us feel even more at home. The atmosphere gave the impression of an enjoyable place to work. As we were up collecting our carvery, the staff were interacting well with each other and laughing. You could also hear it from the kitchen when the door opened. The staff were still very professional. Absolutely they were. But it just sounded like they really enjoyed working there. I would definitely recommend going here. (If you want to go on a Sunday though, remember to book beforehand).

Love this place. It is amazing value and the more you come the more discounts they send you through . I was served by Milo today who was great , friendly and very attentive. Choose this place for a carvery lunch , for value for money it was well worth it but it wasn't very warm which spoiled it for us . Tried to use the salt celler but it was stuck , on opening it the salt was damp and thick , tried another from different table it was the same but inside the lid was disgusting and rusty , asked staff for more and he shrugged his shoulder and said it's the air but I'll get you some small packets .Staff were really nice . Unfortunately I won't be going back .

Absolutely will NOT be back in this restaurant. I’ve just had a £100 parking fine for being in there for 39 minutes. I called the restaurant to be asked if I put my registration number into the iPad. I wasn’t even aware that you had to do this and no member of staff asked me to do this. No signs anywhere to let you know about it. I won’t be paying the fine and I won’t be back.
