Enjoyed our experience here. Was our first time and Justine made us feel right at home. The food was delicious as well. Make sure to fill your plate up the first round as you can’t go back through for Seconds. Thank you Justine for great service and making this a great family memory.

We had an early lunch. The meats were perfectly cooked with a large range of vegetables to choose from. She enjoys a gin or 3 and I had the refills . There wasn't a que so I went up for hers then mine. We asked for a quiet spot as her hearing isn't great. She said now this is her new place to come with her sisters as the staff were so lovely here and its not far to come .tbh when she is happy it makes the whole experience a joy as it takes the stress off me so thank you!!

Booked an early lunch with 2 friends yesterday Was so disappointed as food not really cooked and only luke warm. Waitress said can reheat in microwave, why would I want my apple and cranberry sauce reheated! I declined, she said that’s the temperature the food should be served… I wouldn’t recommend at all..see the prices, if you go Monday to Friday Then the price hike to Saturday and then….Sunday.. What a rip off.. Don’t get me talking about the drinks prices…Wish I’d cooked at home….

Was easy to book on line and had e mail confirmation. Sanitisers to hand around the pub and restaurant and tables cleaned when vacated. Food was hot and you could have as much as you wanted. Clean glasses given on refills. Table service very good. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking free.

Lovely roast dinner. Lots of choice of vegetables. Very filling though if you overload your plate! Gets very busy in Autumn and winter months (obviously).

Called in to the Toby, Chester Road, North, for lunch on the 20/5/19, choice was 1st class along with the meal, service and surroundings. The restaurant is suitable for family, groups, has disabled access and most of all friendly. Recommended

We arrived 30 mins prior to the Carvery opening at Noon. We bought drinks at the bar and sat at a table of our choice. Our table assistant Leona introduced herself and updated us as to when the Carvery our will be open. After a short wait we joined a queue for the meal service. Chef Luke carved the meat off our request and we continued with our vegetables and gravy etc. Turkey and pork was tender and very nicely cooked, the vegetables too were properly cooked, not under cooked or mushy. The flavours from the beef dripping roast potatoes and gravy together with the rest of the meal, drooled succulence and care. A remarkable change from when I last visited here some three years ago. This is a must go to place, to have a real homely cooked dinner at a cost cheaper that a joint of meat. My experience here today, has very much put the Toby Carvery Chester Road N as one of my desired locations to visit again. Ample car parking space and free parking also.

Walls are super thin in the rooms so I was kept up by someone next door in 117 snoring ridiculously most of the night. There was a regular beeping sound all night which was annoying. Intervals of about 20mins maybe...i didn't time it. There were no blinds in room 119 so you had to keep the curtains closed otherwise people in the carpark would be looking at your white bits. When I eventually got to sleep, I was woken up at 0500 by someone leaving their room outside and banging their bag all over the place. It was like how my mam used to hoover iat 0600 in the morning when I was a kid. Food was okay except for the vegetarian risotto my partner had which tasted off. Staff there said it was lemon juice but I'm a keen cook who uses lemon juice frequently in my dishes. It wasn't lemon juice. The pillows were no thicker than the width of my toothpaste and the bed was extra firm which was fine for me but I'm sure it's a strong choice for others. The shower was good though. There was also questionable things wiped on the wall at the side of the toilet. Possibly snots. When I arrived, I was told oh if you cam through the website we'd have matched Expedia price and given you free parking. It would be good if the site explained this because we did check the site out first. We may have missed it. We won't be going back again. The lady at breakfast was lovely as most staff were. Room and quality of sleep was terrible though. Stick with a Premier Inn. You know what you're getting. Oh and the taps are so close to the basin, so it's a struggle washing my man sized hands. Maybe that's why someone wiped their snots on the wall as they gave up trying to wash their hands properly.
