Excellent value, very busy but service was great. Nick was very obliging and had a great sense of humour. Starters good portions and ample meat from carver Harvey. We'll be back

3 of us went for dinner and all had different, one had the turkey & gammon sandwich with roasts , this had salad on the sandwich that had seen better days,the other beef, turkey topped with Mac n cheese in a bun on top is a large Yorkshire, roasts and a pot of gravy , mine was a pork, stuffing and apple sausage bun with roasts All the roasts where that dry there was no way you could eat them without gravy , all the sandwiches and buns where so dry that you couldn’t swallow them we all had a bit of gravy from the small pot that came with the Mac n cheese topping , the Mac & cheese was that dry it was just bits of dry pasta , my friend scrapped it off , we all ate just one roast even with gravy they where dry , the Yorkshire was so big that there wasn’t enough gravy to even wet the sides so this was also left , it’s the first time here since it was refurbished and the last the food took over 45 mins to arrive and half of it was left

Chelsea was very helpful. One of our party is a coeliac and Chelsea was very knowledgeable and helpful when ordering. Chelsea was friendly, good with the 2 year old in our party and a polite bubbly girl. Thankyou for a great experience Chelsea!

The food and staff were as one expects--excellent.There was plenty of choice in meat and vegetables . Gravy and sauces were up to usual high standards in all Toby Inns.

Had to wait for 10 mins for any staff to come and serve us, buffet breakfast noone replacing food. Minimum staff if any. Food was ok not great. And top it off got a parking fine for parking in there car park even though we customers. Staff did not make us aware that we needed to give them our vehicle registration.

The restaurant was very busy on a Sunday lunchtime. We had booked and were seated quickly, and our drinks order taken. The queue for the carvery was quite long, but we were served quickly and the food was delicious. I had used the app to book, and also wanted to use the 25% discount and start collecting stamps again. However, the app would not do what it was supposed to do. I received help from staff, but without a result. After our puddings and coffee, we paid and left. The staff were cheerful and helpful, in an incredibly busy environment. However, even at home, I cannot access the app( uninstalled, different email address, turn phone off and on again) . This is disappointing, and perhaps the app needs some intervention.

*SHOUTOUT TO MARIE* Me and my partner visited the festival park Toby Carvery tonight and amongst the chaos we were greeted and seated by Marie. Marie was an absolute delight and even amongst the chaos made our experience a delight. If it wasn’t for Marie I’d of 100% left before even going to get food. The other waitress’ and even the manager didn’t seem like they were coping with the busyness of a Friday night and almost left it all to Marie who profusely apologised everytime something was wrong even though it wasn’t her fault. Marie went above and beyond and if it wasn’t her I wouldn’t even consider coming back to the restaurant. Thank you Marie you deserve a pay rise / more appreciation for your hard work and dedication 🩷

Walked in at 10:45am on a Saturday, approached the "wait here to be seated" desk and asked for a table for two, only to be told a half empty (at best) restaurant was too busy. "I can't seat you for twenty minutes" we were told, followed by "and even then I'd have no food to give you." Complained via social media and the extent of their response was, "sorry, why don't you come back another time?" I like Toby Carvery/Stonehouse and will happily continue to use other units where the staff know how to treat the people that pay their wages, but I wouldn't set foot back in this place if it was free. The unit manager and their social-media team are a total and utter disgrace to the brand.

Awful! Had to queue for 30 minutes for food as they kept running out, because the servers were dealing with justeat orders and not evening acknowledging anyone in the queue. The spoons you use for beans and tomatoes had holes in so literally all the juice drained out. By the time I got back to the table my hot drink was no longer hot! I saw about 15 people just walk out and ask for their money back. It was the worse breakfast I have ever had. Would not ever come back!

Went to the refurbished toby tonight for a pint with the lads . The young barman nick was so helpful and cheerful and is an asset to the company . Poured a great pint and couldn't have done anything better . Cheers 🍻

We went for breakfast. The breakfast had a good variety.Newly refurbished. Music was great variety and not too loud! Servers were Amber,Rich and Di. All very friendly and helpful. Sat on the marina side overlooking the barges. Very relaxing and peaceful. We would recommend this place!

Not bad, food was nice, some of the staff were ok, some were really rude, no time to talk to the costumers, found them quite abrupt. Would go back for the food, deffo not for the staff. I know they were busy and everything but being polite goes a long way.

When we came in it was very busy but looked amazing. Meg hopped onto the bar to help them and she provided quick and efficient service which was also really welcoming. The meat and veg was hot and fresh.

I took my girlfriend and my gran here for a Sunday roast, didn’t book but the manager found us a table by the time I’d ordered our drinks the table was ready, we got our food from the carvery everything was fresh and nice and hot, my gran who is in her nineties is very picky when it comes to food but she enjoyed it a lot also! The day out meant a lot for her and the fact the whole experience was so smooth made everything a lot easier for us. Much appreciated thank you!

The new interior is just lushhhh! OMG! The food is always fresh and the staff are wonderful, especially the carver! Having been to the farmhouse inns nearby recently there is no comparison, Toby blows it out the water!!

Visited yesterday on Mother's Day at 1pm to the newly refurbished China Gardens, we used to love this place before the refurbishment but now it looks even better! Place was very busy but the service was friendly and efficient. The lamb was to die for! Well done and thank you to all the team yesterday

Lovely location by Canal, staff very efficient, helpful and friendly, Sunday Carvery was nice and hot with good choice of meats.

Carvery was lovely but we waited nearly 30 minutes for our pudding to arrive. It did make us somewhat annoyed as we were eating before a football match

Return visit today for the opening after the recent refurbishment.We were lucky enough to have a lovely chat with "Phil Taylor" who had just opened the restaurant ! Once inside we were amazed at the fabulous transformation.The colour scheme was fantastic and felt warm and homely. We had the usual cheerful greeting and was shown to our table.We then made our way to the carvery deck which was looking outstanding.Food was hot, tasty and plentiful as always.Ross and all his team are doing a great job.Can't wait for a return visit.

I visited today and was very impressed with the friendly and professional service by Aoife who served me just before she finished her shift around half past one. She even spoke to me just as she was leaving. I have been to the China Garden quite a few times and have always had a good visit with friendly staff. Again thank you Aoife! I visited Toby toady for a couple of pints with the lads. The barman Nik was so talkative and always sparked a conversation with us. Absolute legend. His pints were on point and were my turning point of the night . Cheers 🥂
