Located at the top end of hoylake, this small coffee house is perfect for anytime of day. Great selection of teas and coffee, around 5 different cakes to pick from.... Tiffin especially good.

The staff are friendly and the coffee shop is pleasant. There is music, but it's at just the right volume. the window is the place for people-watching, and the little nook at the side is perfect when it's cold. The highlight is the coffee. I had a cortado, which was absolutely perfect, and my sister wanted a hazelnut Americano with some milk on the side. The chap who served me went the extra distance to ask if we wanted hazelnut milk or the syrup... most places won't offer than kind of choice. If you're in Hoylake, Toast is _the_ place for a very nice coffee!

Quiet on a Sunday afternoon, but nice tea and coffee, and efficient service. Clean, no noisy music, will go again.

My wife and I visited Hoylake a couple of days ago for a beach walk (We live in Crewe, but I spent my formative years in Hoylake). Before undertaking the walk we decided to enjoy some light refreshments. Not knowing where to go we walked from the car along Market St towards Kings Gap and I spotted this place. We decided to give it a try. The café was very clean and had a welcoming atmosphere. We ordered teacakes and coffee and the girl serving behind the counter gave me a friendly smile while taking the order, and the girl who brought the teacakes was equally pleasant and friendly. The food and coffee were excellent and reasonably priced. I think this is the first place where it is possible to get more than just a standard size of Flat White coffee (I wonder why it's not more readily available?). Our overall impression was very good and we will definitely be returning next time we go to Hoylake. Highly recommended!

My first time here with my friend (who had been here years ago). My friend had a toastie and I had a Full English. Food was delicious and such good value for money. The staff were friendly and courteous, and the tables etc were spotlessly clean. I think the young man's name who cooked my breakfast was Christian - it was the best Full English I've had in a very long time, thank you! Had I not been so full after it I would have been tempted by one of the cakes, but I just couldn't manage it! Bluebell's is going to be a regular place for me now after having such an enjoyable meal there.

Really weak service, no host, had to find a random waiter to say we had arrived for our booking. Waited ages to order drinks and even longer to get them, had to go to the bar for a follow up. Service is what you’d expect from untrained inexperienced youngsters. I don’t blame the kids, it’s not their fault, probably cheaper for the establishment. Food reads lovely on the menu but there's no effort at all gone into it. Between us we had around 9/10 different dishes, the cauliflower and the meatballs were ok but we left a lot of everything else and the dynamite prawns were just woeful, certainly hadn’t seen any 'fiery lobster aioli' or' fresh chilli' and they definitely weren’t 'poached' unless you count the time they were boiled in Thailand before being frozen. The venue is a nice bar and very average bistro, certainly not a restaurant.
