My mum and I visited this gorgeous little cafe in Normanton. If you’re local to the area, it’s a great little spot for some brunch/lunch and the staff are all really friendly too. The menu isn’t huge but offers a good range of different options that are all very reasonably priced. The cafe is quite small inside but we didn’t struggle to find a seat. We visited for breakfast. I ordered the banana on toast which came with peanut butter, maple syrup and blueberries. It was definitely the best banana on toast I’d ever had! Being local to the area, I’m surprised I’ve never been here before, I will certainly be returning!

Called for lunch. Very small limited menu. Paid £6.50 for ham sandwich. Nothing special. Not a lot of ham. Service fine.

Top quality gluten free cakes to eat in or take away, they change the choices frequently but check opening times as they close quite early in the day

The food and the place is really lovely - I visited here with a friend and my puppy. I have to say I was a little bit disappointed with the service . Appreciate everyone has bad days but I actually felt quite uncomfortable and as if I was unwelcome here. I am local and I would try this place again as I would love to become a regular with it being on my doorstep, as like I say, I can only put it down to the staff may have been having an off day.

Toast is my favourite coffee shop. The flat white is the best I’ve had and I’m sure all the others will be of the same high quality. I love the sweet treats which are such high quality and more than generous portions and also the sweet potato pakora, beetroot and feta dish which is delish. Lizi is warm and welcoming and there’s a chilled atmosphere throughout which is hard to find in larger commercial outlets. Hard to beat in every way

A great local coffee house in Normanton. A welcome alternative to the large coffee chains. Great selection of cakes to choose from.

Love to pop in here for a treat coffee and cake and a book for 'me time' or come with friends and family for lunch (soup and sandwiches are amazing). Come often with my toddler son too who is obsessed with their doorstep toast. The food is really good quality, the cakes are always delicious, my little boy is always well catered for (high chair and booster seat available). Lovely surroundings, eco friendly packaging and the customer service is always brilliant. Always made to feel welcome. Can't recommend enough!

I have visited Toast regularly since it opened and can’t say enough good things about it. I only drink decaf coffee and many small cafes only have instant (but want to charge you the same as ground!) Not here, the decaf is just as nice as the fully-leaded stuff. The cakes are to die for. Your biggest issue will be stopping at one! I ordered cupcakes as a leaving gift for a client and they were blown away by the creativity of decoration, not to mention the taste. Well, there’s nothing more to say about a chocolate caramel cupcake topped with a mini Mars bar. And the owner has kept lunches simple so she can manage alone, with locally-sourced pies or sausage rolls served with imaginative salads (no iceberg and chunks of tomato here thank you!) and home-made chutneys. Soup is also sometimes available, especially in winter. And sandwiches come in the form of doorstop bread, again, freshly baked locally, with only one or two fillings each day. A warm welcome always awaits you, even if you want cake for breakfast (which I have definitely never done. Honest!)

Made a date with an old school friend I’d not seen for years. Toast was the perfect meeting place, a choice of indoor or outdoor seating areas with attentive, friendly service. And then the food! Spinach and feta empanadas with salad that actually deserved eating followed by a huge slice of lemon drizzle! Delicious! Very grateful I could pay by card as cash somehow leaves my purse immediately (kids!) and overall we had a lovely visit. Quality food at a very good price in a relaxed environment, enough said thank you very much!

Homemade service with a smile! An ever-changing range of cakes, buns and traybakes with a wide range of high-quality teas, coffee (usual e.g. Americano, Latté, Cappuccino etc) & hot chocolate with regular, decaf, oat milk, gluten-free etc options available. Savoury choices include pies or hot foot depending on the day, soup and sandwiches - all to eat in the relaxing environment or to take away (either your own or a compostible cup). Great place to catch up with friends or grab 5 minutes (or more!) peace and quiet. Having gone once im now addicted and pop in for myself or with a friend (& even the kids - plenty of activities hidden in the snug) several times a month. Highly recommended!

The best presented breakfast I’ve seen. Never greasy and with a strong portion size. Really nice staff and overall a really nice place. Strongly recommend if you live in the area or even passing through.

Just love this place, it's so friendly and the food is great and not at extortionate prices. Also they have some fun evenings throughout the year to attend.
