Tj's Hamburgers in Leicester

Very nice food and friendly staff. We ordered for guests today and they really enjoyed the food.

Rubbish. Spent over £25 on three kebabs and a single portion of chips, only got one green chilli, one 70 x 70cm piece of lettuce, a few rings of onion of 70mm diameter, a tiny amount of mayonnaise and the same amount of "hot " chilli dressing. The donna meat was sparse and dry, the shish lamb was tough as boots and tasteless and the chicken kebab had no flavour at all. Very poor. I really feel like I have been conned. This was a take away meal for two on the 26/09/2024

Love the Doner Kebabs and chips from this place. Even the blue cheese mayo and relishes are nice too.

We've tried ordering from lots of different pizza places including the most well known ones, but we were never very impressed. Since we tried TJ's, we've never gone anywhere else. Ordering is easy on the website and the food is always delivered quickly and piping hot. The pizzas themselves have a delicious base - not too thin and not too thick. The toppings are generous and delicious with loads of cheese. The food is sent with dips and sometimes they include freebies like a bottle of Pepsi or a pot of coleslaw. Highly recommended!

This chain has gone downhill! We ordered a burger and kebab, the garlic mushroom burger had no mushrooms, the kebab came as a diy job with literally half a slice of tomato (not even a full slice) and one slice of cucumber! Ridiculous! Will no longer recommend TJ’s as a brand. Very sad. When delivered the man had no idea how much it was and had no change when offered a £20!

Home delivery....Easy to order via site, food arrived on time and was excellent. This was my first time with TJs, it will not be my last. Brilliant tasty fresh, 5*. Thanks

Tried lamb burger. Fresh and so tasty. Also loved the salad. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. 100% recommended.

They cook really good food. However, paying in cash is not always convenient.

This is by far the best TJ'S the staff are amazing very welcoming and friendly. Literally ive nearly tried everything on the menu and can safely say what I've tried is absolutely amazing. The chicken shish/lamb shish is perfect Pizza mighty meat is stunning Chicken wings and chicken pieces beautiful The burgers are probably the best in the 🇬🇧 The family absolutely love it too. You've got a new regular customer 👍🏻💪🏼

Delivery took 2 hours! Rang after 90mins to hear the staff laughing in background saying wrong order had been taken! Then told it was on its way be 2mins and not to worry as all hot and fresh! 30mins later called and spoke to a guy who claimed was the manager and gave a different story and claimed they didn't have enough food hence the delay but he had just sent it! Do not recommend

Really tasty and delicious food

They need to stop using those cheap bottle sauces and make their own fresh chilli and garlic mayo sauce like all the other TJs do. Some of my donner meat was cold and hard and some was doft and warm overall nothing special

I've just recently made a visit here, it has changed alot, loads better than it used to be, if you've had a bad experience here I recommend another try, it is cash only and I've seen people walk away, a card reader would make an even bigger improvement I', m definitely going back, awesome 👌👌

Well I thought I would give these a try again but terrible 😞 service again food was cold and missing items why do people rush things at least send the items that I ordered 😡😡😡

The quality has remained the same over the years. Been getting burger from here for the past 25 years!! Delicious every time.

2hrs late, cold food, didn't even answer their phone, don't bother with this tjs ... waste of time and energy. Not fit for purpose...

How can I review an order that still hasn't arrived 2 hours after order time and 1 hour after expected delivery! Disgraceful ! Not even answering their phone!!

Worst TJs experience ever! We love TJs usually but from this branch we recieved cold hard chips. The food was over 1hr late, we got no apology from the restaurant or the driver. The driver didn't even make eye contact! The store was of no use when I rang to ask where my food was, I was just told on its way. Will never use this branch again

Order from here a lot but today was better than ever! The food was so flavoursome and really well cooked! Super happy with it, never been better!

Me and my mate had some chicken strips, chips and a wrap and it was very good. Defo recommend to anyone that wants a nice meal!

The burgers are good, but they are using that weird chilli sauce that's sour and bitter so I'd advise not taking "spicy". Pizza is alright, prices are fine, delivery time is usually very good. I'd Recommend

Problem with this place is that they don’t appear to give a damn. I only go here if I am absolutely desperate and usually end up with a rubbish meal. Staff don’t communicate too well and don’t speak the best English. They never listen to anything you say anyway. If you order more than one item..... expect one to be hot and one to be cold... it is as if they make on item at a time. Also don’t always expect to get all the food you ordered. I’ve had a few times when they “forgot the chips”. Shame to be negative because once in a while they make a lovely burger.

Even though the food arrived early the standard wasn't what it usually is. My daughters wings looked like they'd been fished out the bottom of the fryer that had been there weeks, chicken kebab came with a loaf of bread not a pitta and the chips in the same foil tub as the chicken making them soggy. The rest if the chips seemed like they were left overs. Slightly disappointed seen as we usually get decent food from here.. instead of arriving 30 mins early I would have rather waited and had it fresh instead of rushed.

The beef burger is okay. Below average chips. Avoid chicken burger, got food poisoning.

The food was NOT good! First of all it turned up 20 mins late after quite a long original delivery time. Onion rings were missing and the “lamb” was more like 14 year old dead sheep at best. Chips were underneath the ribs and were very soggy. The only thing that just saved the day and no more were the box standard slices of garlic bread. I would not order from here again.

Been pretty consistent; 25% of the time they’re late but food quality probably offsets this (to some extent)

Chicken shish kebabs fantastic as always. Chips and onion rings fantastic . Coleslaw, inedible this time , very dry and not coleslaw like at all, sorry guys, don't know what happened this time, had to throw it away.

Usually we really like the food here, found last time the quality had gone down a bit but this time was unfortunate not good at all. Got given the wrong burger ( got a sloppy cheese burger instead of a spicy chicken burger) The chicken strips were pretty basic and the chips were wet and soggy. Positive though the onion rings and garlic mayo were great.

A change from the usual this time, tried a burger, very very nice indeed, the burgers filled the big buns , lots of salad and sweetcorn relish etc.....nice chips, just really good.

What can i say? I'm partial to a chicken kebab every now and then. TJs on the corner of Clarendon and Queens offer the best i've ever had. Polite staff, delivery (if required) and, for some unknown reason, cheaper than other TJs in Leicester. Try it.

Late food, making it closer to the cold side than walk. And the guy who delivered it took it to my neighbour. Usually pretty happy with the service as a regular, but this time I'm just hoping it was just an off day

The chicken burger was a big nugget.. Not really a chicken burger. Fish burger was fried in old oil... Chips were old, dry and refried. Not what I was thinking of getting for spending £18. Maybe a bad day for them.

If this is the place that was run by students from University of Leicester back in the 80's that's 86-89, they had the best burgers I've ever tasted. From Nairobi to LA and everywhere in between.

Ordered our usual again this evening and added a note to the order requesting a mix of cabbages for our chicken shish kebabs and a couple of green chillies. The staff must have read the request which was 100% fulfilled !! Another excellent order, thank you team TJ's.

The best tjs in Leicester. Presentation etc is brilliant. There are closer tjs to our address but will only ever order from this one.

Just excellent every time. Cannot recommend TJ's enough for a chicken shish and chips, coleslaw, onion rings. The burgers are great too. Haven't really tried anything else on the menu as love the chicken shish kebabs so much. Give TJ's a go, I doubt you will be disappointed.

Cold and chewy kebab, colder than the salad. Guess it was out of the fridge. Rude person at the takeaway, lied and told me he cut the meat himself. Refused a timely replacement of the food. Certainly won't be coming back.

I’ve used TJ’s for many years but unfortunately tonight will be the last time I use them again. Consistently for the last 6-12 times they’ve been late and tonight the food was 20 minutes late - ordered 7pm and arrived 8.20pm. Rang the shop at 8.10 to check my order and the person on the other end stated that they always run late on Fri. / Sat. I stated that the estimated time was 8pm and that if that was the case they should adjust the estimates accordingly. The response was he’d cancel my order which didn’t really answer my question, and then the call was ended. At 8.20, the food eventually arrived but was not piping hot. The delivery guy did apologise. I will be visiting the shop in person to follow up my dissatisfaction in due course.

The food was absolutely disgusting burger burnt , chips solid and kebab ridiculous small for how much it cost , rang just eat they told me to ring the takeaway , I did the man refused to collect the food and refund the money swore at me and put the phone down , avoid this place like the plague the food is inedible and the staff rude and vile , even the staff at just eat were shocked when I emailed them pictures of the food the burger bun was black 🤢

I called to make a order and throughout my order I was ignored, the chips arrived and they were hard and dry. I phoned the restaurant to tell them the problem and the staff member said that it is ok and they cook chips that way, such terrible sevice.

Good is good. Just check Ur change as 3 times in the past year I have been short changed. Don't want to accuse them of intentionally doing this but definitely seems that way. Food is good value though
