Portion size really small won’t be ordering from here again

Drove 10mins further than the 2 nearest fat chips places to me, after my brother said to try it. I asked for a bit of katup after ordering fat chips, they said its 60p for sauce. I couldn't believe it, that's the price of a soft drink. I told them it's standard practice for chipies to always put a bit of sauce on the side. I'm taking my business else where. What a shame they could have had a repeat customer.

overall the food was nice and hot and delicious the delivery wasn't too late only bout 10 minutes but the quality of food made up for it keep it up

Took some loaded chips for takeaway. It took me almost an hour to get the food , moreover it was just chips and chicken . Without any garnishing or sauces. Tried to call them to report, but ended up not picking up the call. No customer should have such experience,

Kebab was very small and cold with hardly any salad . Not worth £7.49. Pizza was OK the drink was very watered down and onion rings were soggy. Disappointed

I ordered no chili but for x some reason I they were on it plus it wasn’t very warm c so disappointed we ordered before and it was lovely but really disappointed this time

Was an empty bag open left on floor on grass when tried contact claim he didn’t know where to go and bag was empty with tissue what a joke

Came here on a Sunday and placed our order. It came 30 minutes later because, in their words, it takes 20 minutes to prepare the Peri Peri chicken. This is the only "fast" food joint I know, which is actually slow. Staff look disinterested, and there is no sense of urgency. I concede that it was a Sunday, but they were eager in getting delivery drivers sorted while we waited. Seating area was untidy with salt and sauce all over the table. Won't return here...

Great place for quick cheap food that tastes good. Friendly atmosphere

The food is good but the service they provide is terrible. They charge for sauces and will only put chilli or mayo on the food free of charge. They can’t put an order for 8 nuggets and only give the option for 4pc nuggets and chips not on its own or 20pc nuggets on its own.

I asked for no hot chilli sauce and been given double hot sauce. I do not eat spicy food at all. Staff doesn’t pay attention to orders and customer preferences at all. I do like food from Big Johns but there is always something wrong with my order. Being given hot sauce instead of mayonnaise, chips are cold or dry because been re-fried a few times. Asked for no vinegar and been given plenty of vinegar on my chips. I get it they are busy, but come on! Following customer preferences isn’t hard.

I actually forgot how nice the food is, as the last time I’ve eaten from Big Johns was when they had a restaurant on Uppingham road, I’ll be ordering from there many more times to come 👌🏼

RAW CHICKEN, called restaurant many times someone picked up and said I could have another burger when I wanted a refund then he said no either choose something else or nothing so ended up choosing a pizza. Whole meal was disgusting

Got a call 25 minutes early to say it had arrived went down from the bar to be given food which was not mine!!! Then told yours is not ready yet see you again at 9pm. Missed the last 10 minutes of the first half of the England game and 5 minutes of the second half. It would have been top marks all round if it wasn’t for the error

The Just Eat app is telling me my food has been delivered yet nothing has been delivered. Extremely poor.

Ordered pizza for pickup, popped chicken on all vegetarian pizza, had to travel back to the shops which takes 40mins. Not impressed with customer service attempted to only make 1/2 a pizza instead of a fresh one as we had them for over an hour. Don’t recommend.

Ordered no sauce. Both mains came with sauce. Very disappointed

Terrible food. Ordered a fish from which several hairs came out. The pizza was re-cooked/re-heated so hard to chew. The garlic bread was the only item which was fine. We contacted deliveroo, they said someone from the restaurant will contact us as they can’t do anything. No one contacted us. Had to go out and get something else to eat. Highly disappointed.

Got home piza was barely edible very over cooked and not a stuffed crust as I ordered

They just put a chicken fillet in a bun and give me a sauce separately. They doesn’t have a taste in their burgers. Toilets needs some work Environment is okay Their fries is nice. Overall not a great experience, they really needs to improve they taste .

First time visiting a Big Johns, don't expect much and you won't be disappointed. The pizzas are quite thin and have premade bases but for a cheap eat it's alright.

Ordered on Deliveroo, didn't have a ketchup option (just mayonnaise, chilli etc. So I called in to ask for ketchup and the man refused to give me ketchup despite having it in store because he could no longer charge me 50p. I explained there was no option on Deliveroo and he was insistent on not giving me ketchup for 50p, I spent £34 on my order and he was really adamant about it. Most takeaways give it for free. I am pregnant so I am angrily writing this review, which I would usually not bother. Will never order here again.

Rubbish food and staff useless who don't care especially the young guy with glasses he walks round like he owns the place

pizza is rank.garlic bread is rank (its the dough) but the fish and chips, especially the masala fish is lush

I'm really upset that one portion chicken nuggets were missing from the two portions ordered. Only chips were delivered. I'm hoping that big Johns will not forget to give these in my next order. Please make a note of this as I will remind in my next order. Thanks

I eat 3 time in week from hear.all time food was so cold..doner was like 2 day's kept in freezer. Burger was salty.my chicken pet eat & finish it in garden.i won't pass from there anymore

No drink or meals I had only given a bag that had such a cold and not cook well as also the burger has already been ate a bit Had rang restaurant no answer I ask driver he reply with not my problem call restaurant as driver said restaurant didn’t give him proper order Would like refund whole order

Why are Big John's SO stingy with the meagre amount of chips, I ordered as I regularly order Fish & Chips & there was approx 15 chips!!! how mean when the price is £10.99!! if you want my money try putting more chips in the box instead of always half empty, but on a positive the delivery service & times are very good, just want what I paid for & that's Fish with more than 15 chips please!

Good foods and friendly atmosphere. Staff sometimes just stood there chatting up themselves while customers were waiting. All that matters is the food but the customer service is sometimes not up to standard.

Today reception guy spat badwords to customers A guy wearing cap and headset in his ear and not asking what customer requirements But I am a regular customer and food was awesome but these guy was very much toxic.

Rubber-like overcooked chips that could break teeth better than a boxer, no salad on the burger save for a tiny, wilted piece of lettuce. Chicken so bland and flavourless it might've been cardboard—and tasted like it, too. I bought this meal as a comfort dinner, because I'm under the weather, and now I just feel worse instead of better. Horrible experience.

Useless online system, they took money and called me after a minute that they can not deliver beyond 4 miles bcoz I live 4.7 miles away. He asked me £4 delivery which I agreed for delivery and I agreed. I waited 1 hour and called back. Surprise, they cancelled the order and didn't even bother to notify me. Useless, pathetic service. Bunch of crooks sitting in office. Use little money and update your app and online order system and DONOT take order from outside your 4miles.
