Tivoli Cafe in Bath and North East Somerset

I visited the cinema and restaurant last night with my partner. She made an error in her booking, and was unable to contact the venue by phone - they don’t publish a phone number - and despite contacting them by email, no one returned her message to deal with her problem. We ate in cafe/bar. We ordered and paid for our meal. (They insist you pay in advance) The waiter returned to inform us that our choice was not available and asked us to choose an alternative. We did. The cost was less, and the waiter said that he would ask the manager to come over to arrange a refund of the difference. We waited over 40 minutes for our meal to arrive. (The cafe was almost empty). Despite repeated requests to speak and see the manager and correct the overcharging, the manager never came to us. In the end we had to leave to catch the start of the film. We received poor service; were overcharged; were refused requests for repayment and rectification; and denied any opportunity to raise our concerns with anyone responsible. I assume this is a policy of overcharging. Beware!

Been meaning to go here for a while after hearing good things and it didn’t disappoint. Lovely food. Very attentive service. Very calm and relaxed atmosphere. We didn’t do the cinema this time but will be visiting again very soon.

This is such a stunning space, which makes it the kind of place you want to spend time in. The decoration is gorgeous and all the (varied) seating is comfortable. Sadly, it doesn’t yet feel as though the mechanics are working as well as they could. Service is slow and not very confident, though it was very friendly... and we’ve been twice and were served by various different people. Our cocktails were tasty but smaller than in other Bath bars - there was a lot of ice in the Mojito, for example. Food was mixed: nachos were tasty and generous, the vegetarian mezze was tasty, too, but disappointingly small. Hopefully these are teething problems that will get sorted soon. We certainly hope so - the Tivoli has a lot going for it.

my daughter took me to the cinema at the Tivoli cafe of which was great.We decided to eat in the cafe before going into the cinema as we were early. I'm sad to say the food wasn't great!, now the prices are not expensive however the food in my opinion was very bland.I had the Jerk chicken Burger and it was just a lightly spiced piece of chicken! wasn't that great. plus there were no salads or healthy options.The Bar however was really cool, a really nice guy named Clem served us some great cocktails and he was so friendly and very professional, he made our experience really cool. Would go again but not to eat sadly.

We have visited the café twice, just because it's a lovely place to be. We've tried the hot chocolate (delightful) and the latte (creamy). The only slightly disappointing thing is they don't have any cake! They do croissants or pain au chocolate and cookies but good, home-made cake would have earned them a 5 star rating. Please consider Tivoli Bath?

This is a great addition to Bath. You don't need to go to the cinema to go here either. The bar serves a good variety of alcoholic drinks especially a good selection of gins. The food on offer ranges from sharing plates to burgers. These can be served pre cinema or at your seat in the cinema. Staff especially the manager cannot do enough for you. The decor is lovely too.

It's a cinema But it's also a rather nice lounge bar. 20s retro vibe. Marble topped tables. Waiter service. Looks like the waiter will bring the drinks into the cinema too, which is very civilised - although I'm not sure how they would find me. Stairs are disconcertingly black on black. There is a strip of light to guide you. Hovering in the air somewhere in front of my eyes is a mind your head moment. I miss it. On my way out, either my eyes have adapted to the gloom, or they have switched on some more lights Decent espresso. I ordered at the bar but I'm sure they would have come over had I sat down.

We stumbled upon their website whilst looking for cinema tickets and decided to go.This cinema/restaurant/bar has only been open about a month so everything looks brand new and smart. Comfy velvet sofas grouped around tables with soft lighting. We arrived early so we could eat before the film. They don't have an extensive menu - home baked pizza, mezze etc but everything looked very fresh and tasted delicious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the place soon filled up so we were glad we'd arrived early. You don't have to buy a cinema ticket to enjoy the bar or lounge and it's open most of the day. The cinema experience was brilliant! Very comfy velvet sofas ( or single chairs) with little tables and plenty of leg room with foot rests - as comfy as watching a film at home. We were very impressed with this place and definitely will return when next in Bath. Tickets above average price (about £15) but in our opinion well worth it as it elevated 'going to the flicks' into a real treat.
