I am a regular customer at the Titanic hotel. It’s a fantastic environment however the cost of an evening meal is very low.compared with other competitors on the the Liverpool water front. £18 .50p is not a lot of money for fish and chips. Some times the meal is exceptional some times it is very poor. John Riley Regular customer.

Lovely setting - but appalling food offer. I had fish and chips - served whimsically on newspaper with a pot of mushy peas. Undercooked chips, disgusting remoulade side and poorly battered fish. Deserts are tarted up - frozen pre purchased. Decaf coffee undrinkable. Similar experience for other party members - cold potatoes, dry liver, dry Yorkshire pudding - I could go on. Staff dressed to the nines- but overall would not even meet gastro pub standards let alone a hotel trying to be 'up there'. Needs a complete rethink and proper chef.

Firstly, I will say that the wait staff are brilliant. However a new chef is definitely required. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful and the cocktails are nice. I ordered the vegetable Thai green curry for my main, and the first thing i noticed was that the pak-choi was so so wet it was rather difficult to cut through. Then came the real issue when i realised the texture of the entire meal was a jar of baby food. I tried to move around the rice with my fork and it just spread about like wall paper paste. Not only was it clearly over done, but its been drowned in water during cooking - I would expect anyone know the correct rice:water ratio, let alone a paid professional. My meal was replaced without a fuss for the chicken, croquettes and vegetables. the chicken and croquettes where lovely, but yet again the vegetables where very wet. My date ordered the steak, which was extremely chewy and rubbery.... its such a shame as the hotel is beautiful, the rooms are gorgeous and the spa is fab. Im not sure how quickly i would be willing to give the restaurant a second chance, as its not cheap by any means and you can expect better at any regular basic food establishment.

Probably the worst afternoon tea experience I've had and not the cheapest. Looking at the menu on the website I expected better. The four sandwiches are advertised as being on different breads. We received sandwiches on what appeared to be two breads (white and brown sliced loaf by the texture). The scones were good and so was the tea. The cakes were completely uninspired and not what was advertised. There were only three, not the suggested five. A Victoria sandwhich and a chocolate cake ( both of which were nothing special). There was a third one, which may have been the panacotta but had little taste or anything to suggest what it was. Service not great either: 3 out 4 people not provided with a knife and there was a tea strainer was missing. We had seen other guests take cakes away in boxes. We wished to do the same but were informed that they had run out of boxes. We were provided with some aluminium foil and left to pack them as best we could. I was shocked to be asked to sign a waiver absolving the restaurant of any responsibility for the food being taken away . I have been to numerous places and taken excess food away, to avoid wasteage, and have never been asked to do this. The manager was apologetic but at the end of the day it was a lot to pay based on the quality of the food and the service provided.

Rather disappointing meal, we went for the "safe" option of burger and it was just OK, nothing that you couldn't get in any ordinary burger joint in any town. The staff were charming but seriously understaffed for such a busy venue. I had hoped that during our stay at the hotel we could eat here on more than one occasion. Shame it fell short of our expectations.

Disappointing food for the prices charged , I had Moroccan Lamb rump which was supposed to be with couscous but it was actually quinoa or bulgar wheat but definitely not couscous , when I mentioned this to the waiter he went to ask the chef who said it was “ large couscous “!!! My 4 companions all felt that their meals were not great quality and also overpriced. The waiters were very nice and polite , however they were wearing jeans which doesn’t look very professional. The restaurant itself is beautifully set out and has a lovely outside terrace overlooking the dock. We were unable to attract the staff to ask for coffee to have on the terrace then when we did we waited for 25mins before it arrived and only then because we asked for a second time , it wasn’t particularly busy either .However , as we had waited so long the coffee was given as complimentary which was appreciated .All in all I won’t be rushing back for lunch .

We had afternoon tea at the Titanic Hotel today and was really looking forward to it. The hotel is stunning but the afternoon tea was sadly underwhelming. The cake selection was very poor and tiny and the sandwiches ordinary and unlike other venues, nothing was said about what the sandwiches were. We had tea and finished with coffee and the cups weren’t replaced. We asked for hot milk and got cold. Bit disappointing on the whole.

We had just arrived at the hotel and was hoping for some lunch. Got turned down by the hostess and unable to have lunch time menu because we needed a booking despite them having two tables in the restaurant. We sat down at a relatively nice table however it took the three waiting staff around 20 minutes to take our drinks order and then another 15 minutes for drinks to arrive. Finally we was able to order our food, prices extortionate. First look of the food presentation was nice, however the taste and overall quality of the meal was not up to standard for them prices. The duck main was over cooked and the noodles had a strange texture and ruined the entire dish. Will not be returning and need to teach their staff manners and how to be polite. Do not recommend

I couldn't fault the location setting at all - definitely up there on the list of being a very unique place to dine. There's no doubt about it the developer/owner has done an incredible job at redeveloping the place, taking great care and consideration to restore this once bustling and hugely historical shipping dock dating back to 1848. Stunning. I have a lot of respect for developers who restore our wonderful heritage stock. Highly recommend the place for birthday parties, weddings and special occasions. Now onto the food. I'm a huge foodie, and have dined at alot of establishments in Liverpool (being a local) and in Europe (especially Italy, so I know my Italian food lol). I don't always leave feedback on Tripadvisor for the restaurants i've been to unless I feel really inclined to for whatever reason.I use the Art School Restaurant as a basis of comparison when I eat out at mid-expensive restaurants in Liverpool, having been there a few times now, in relation to food quality, flavours, portion size, service and ambience. The prices were not far off the same. £7-£11 on average for a starter and £16 to £28 on average for a mains. For starters: I had the charred asparagus, crispy egg (cooked and covered in breadcrumbs), with hollandaise sauce and dry fried pancetta (nice and crispy,a great contrast to compliment softer textures). Nice touch with the egg, think i've seen that done on TV recently. The asparagus was served cold and was crunchy. I'd say it needed to be served warm and cooked for another minute - bit too much on the crunchy side and wouldn't say it was charred. The egg yoke could have been runny, so again, think that was slightly overcooked by a minute or two. Overall, I really enjoyed it and it was beautifully presented. For mains: Pork chop with basil crust and linguine. I'm a HUGE linguine fan. Had some pretty amazing pastas over the years, in Rome, Naples, Amalfi, Lisbon and at home. So was excited for this course. When it arrived, I thought the linguine portion was a little on the small side (especially when i saw my partners mains - fish and chips). Nonetheless, reserved judgement until I ate it all. The pork chop was on the slim side, but lovely quality. Basil crust was very nice, served with some basil pesto as a garnish. As for the linguine, i was sadly dissapointed. I felt it was swamped in the tomato sauce/cherry tomatoes and perhaps a bit overpowering, so couldn't appreciate the pasta itself. What I did taste of the pasta, it wasn't great. It didn't taste as though it were freshly cooked, more like it was taken from a large batch of pasta already cooked that day, and just placed into a pan with the pre-made tomato sauce. I've had this dish in another restaurant, and ive also cooked it myself with just; small vine tomatoes, virgin olive oil, pepper, salt and fresh garlic - no added passata sauce. It should lightly flavour the spaghetti/linguini (which should be part-boiled, then it will be fully cooked al dente once you have mixed it in with the ingredients). Anyway, digressing. So yep, sub-par sadly. I was still hungry after eating the meal which shouldn't be the case. For £17.50, it was over-priced in relation to portion size (I now it doesn't look it on the photo - but it was on the small side). I wouldn't have minded if the quality was superb, but it wasn't.My partner had the cauliflour soup and battered fish and chips. Great presentation, though I don't think the chips were triple cooked at all. He really enjoyed the battered fish and did taste the titanic beer in the batter. All served creatively on a wooden tray. For pudding, we had the baked mousse, with what tasted like lemon sorbet. I really enjoyed this - beautifully presented and the portion size was *ok* considering we had a starter and a mains. Could have been slightly larger. I'd say each baked slice was about the size of a small box of matches. The service was very good, although.......lol, the waiter didn't ask at the end if we enjoyed our food - just took the plates away (even though my cutlery positioned on the plate signalled I hadn't finished - they took it anyway). There's no doubt it's a very unique and special place to dine. The decor was spot on, the chairs were incredibly comfortable, the table layout and quality of the dishes/glassware was great, and that view - wonderful! Especially seeing as you can have a quick drink outside before you take your seat inside the restaurant itself.I don't regret eating here and i would only return to have the afternoon tea experience (looked delish from what I could see) or a drink in the main bar area, separate from the restaurant. The bill came to £79, which included a glass of red house wine and a southern comfort, lime and lemonade. I think this was a tad overpriced for what we had (2 starters, 2 mains, 1 pudding, 1 red house wine, 1 southern comfort, 1 cappucino, i glass of lemonade). Not sure if this included the service charge to be fair, as I didn't look at the itemised section on the bill (my partner paid). There could have been an extra couple of dishes on the mains list, to broaden the range of choice, especially if you're vegetarian.Overall, i'd give it 8 out of 10 - it was the surroundings and decor what pushed it to an 8.

Such a fabulous looking hotel but the bar and coffee area is a shambles when it comes to service. They need managing! Waited ages for everything, then things were wrong, only the location kept us there if it was not as nice we would have left.

Was surprised to find that needed to book on a Tuesday night. Yet when turned up only one other couple were sat eating 18:30. Drink selection is a bit poor if you are a non drinker, but they offer water (free) at the table which has lemon & lime in, Tasty. We did not have a starter. Went straight to the main. Waiter offered a simple starter (dipped bread) as said would be a bit of a wait. Declined, as knew would spoil our main. Went went for simple steak and it was cooked to perfection (med to well done) so was cooked all the way through, but still very tender and tasty. Side of onion rings and house salad. Nice and tasty. Tripple cooked chips very nice.Sweet choice is to say the least limited. 4 options. Again was nice.Price wise. To me expensive (£27.50 for steak). But seems to be in the range of comparable restaurants.

We dined at the restaurant whilst staying in the Titanic hotel this week. We were encouraged to make a reservation despite it being a Tuesday evening. The restaurant was quiet when we first arrived but for busier as the evening went on. This is not a cheap dining option but the food was well presented and tasted great! We had two steaks and one chicken dish accompanied by some of hotels special cocktails

We were staying at the Titanic Hotel and because it's located outside the city centre we decided to eat in-house. We weren't disappointed, the service was very attentive and the food flavoursome. The menu, in my opinion, was perfect, not too large but every dish sounding tasty. Couple of small gripes would be that the toast and crackers that accompany some of the dishes were in short supply and the large round table was quite rickety.

I had an amazing night there and the food was better than I was expecting. Everything on the plate was there for a reason and the menu complimented the evening. The service was sensational. Gabriel was our waiter and he was a credit to the place. His service was on point with out being in your face. He was friendly, polite and efficient.

Been here twice for afternoon tea. Wonderful place. A bit of a job parking as you need to go to the back of the hotel which is not on the main road but there is plenty of parking. The main entrance is actually in the middle of the building, not at the far end as you would expect. The original warehouse cobbles are still in place so makes walking in heels a bit tricky and it would lead to a bumpy ride in a wheelchair but everyone is helpful and friendly and the restaurant overlooks part of the dock area as it is the old Rum Warehouse where it is situated. Would definitely go again.

Booked for 4 people for afternoon tea, as this was a first time visit and being from Liverpool it gives the opportunity to see it in the eyes of visitors to our home city. Upon arrival the staff reception is friendly, and was served by an " outstanding customer focused member of staff ( lady with the glasses, from Huyton?) who excelled!!!The tea for 4 arrived and I must say I was disappointed with the amount for the four, more so the number of finger sandwiches ( bear in mind it costs minimum of £84 for 4) you expect a serving that won't have you leaving and heading for the nearest "Subway "!!!!! The quality of the dessert was excellent and the cakes get a 3 star - overall this should be a experience that you remember and would want to rush back to !!!The Titanic should not put the profit before the experience and maybe if they invited customers to come and tell them " just what makes that experience work and how it is seen for value" then maybe the " value and experience " for the monies might just get the 5 stars !!But based on the current it's offering, our experience and more so as visitors to our fair city might see it - it's a 3 star from me.....It a could do better...

Lovely restaurant and interesting ambience, a tad on the expensive side for Steak and Chips ( around £27-30) but good service and great for a romantic meal. Lovely design features in the restaurant, could use candles on each table as the whole ambience is a little on the dark side

We have high expectations and standards from the restaurant of this amazing hotel. We had the whole lemon sole - very nice dish and well prepared but it is place for improvement - , the beer battered fish - very delicious - and the lamb .For starters we had the smoked garlic butter, roasted and red pepper hummus with great selection of breads and the chicken parfait with red onion marmalade. Our dinner was great but for the standards of the hotel and based on our expectations, we believe that there is place for improvement !

We expected a great deal from this great hotel that could be much better. Ordered a fillet steak and had to return it as it was over cooked from the medium rare I requested. Duly recovered and replaced with a perfectly cooked one I must add.Went down to view the spa, rather disappointed at the fixtures and fittings, all look a bit cheap and nasty with a poor finish to details.Sat and had a further drink in the bar, this was a bit disappointing to be honest, bit more like a museum.Really pleased that an old building has been brought back to life, this is amazing.

Enjoyed afternoon tea for two on a Saturday afternoon. For £20 per head you are served 4 finger sandwiches each (salmon, egg mayonnaise, ham & mustard, chicken) delicious, white, fresh bread. 2 x scones each, mini eccles cake, mini tart, slice of neopolitan cake, lemon panacotta. This was more than enough and we took the remainder away in a bag. You are given a choice of 10 different teas. Also a glass of Proscecco each. The staff are very friendly and supremely professional; they even ask if you would like a photograph taken when your tea is served. We did have a delay between tea being served and the cakes/sandwiches arriving (I had drank the pot of tea by the time these arrived). I found this understandable noting they had a very large Wedding Party to cater for.Would highly recommend this Afternoon Tea.

Visited Yea Rah Liverpool one on Sunday 1st. Firstly walked in to a not very smiling staff. ordered our food me and my stepson ordered full rack of ribs to which they didn’t have so had to settle in n half a rack each. When it arrived presentation was good but av seen more meat on a butchers pencil I was spitting out bone and fat disgusting. My wife ordered chicken jalfrezi which was very dry and served on a hot plate very unusual. My other stepson ordered chicken melt which was cold and had Edam cheese not even melted and wouldn’t feed a pigeon never mind a growing 6’4 Lad so he wasn’t impressed.. my stepdaughter ordered peri peri chicken and it come as a whole chicken cut in half she wasn’t impressed either. I visited the toilets and looked like it hadn’t been checked for a while maybe 3 hours disgusting 🤮… so over all we will not be visiting this place ever again oh and a price tag of £105
