Tess Riley's in Liverpool

The atmosphere was great the music entertainment was really good. The staff were very friendly along with the Liverpool customers. Would definitely go back again.

Called in for few drinks Thurs May 16th, karaoke was fun, drinks very enjoyable and regulars & staff very welcoming.Overall a place we would return to.

I go every week for a dance about 1 year. But tonight I went for a dance as per usual bought a cider, then got thrown out for no valid reason I'm really gobsmacked and don't understand why? I couldn't even go to smoky mow next door because you indicated that I was bared . I would like to know why? I have video and pictures of tonight.

Ripped off one charged £10 for drink next same two drinks £14 went in three nights and was never charged same price twice...great entertainment but think they are paid by place ripping people off.

Stay clear you get charged different prices for same drinks and as for the doorman total 🛎️🔚seems to throw a lot out for no reason place is toxic.

It's my favourite place in Liverpool. Phenomenal music all day, lovely staff, well priced drinks, and a fab atmosphere

Been here loads of times over the years. Got a pint of john smiths and a bottle of Bulmer original £9-40 an absolute RIP OFF. Will never spend another penny in there.

Had a brilliant afternoon in this Liverpool bar on Mad Monday. Absolutely one of the best places to visit. Terrific friendly atmosphere with people of all ages coming and going just out to enjoy the atmosphere. Singers on all day in 2 hour stints doing all Beatles and other Rock and Roll favourites from over the years. Have to say they were great performers and excellent hosts giving everyone a great time. Fantastic bar staff non stop busy and tables kept clear of empties all day long.

As a local it is terrible in here! A singer that mimes and bar staff that add their own drinks onto your bill! And worst of all it seems to be ok with the horrible manageress!! Keep ya eye on the cocky ginger lad with glasses on behind the bar! Adds shots onto your order for himself and charges for doubles and gives you singles! Disgusting!

Never had food didn't know they done any lol but the atmosphere in the eve is brilliant even so during the day .

Really bad staff. Each time we bought a drink the price was changed, think they just take what they want from your change. Really scruffy and in need of a refurb. Only stayed because my friend liked it. So I was not in there by choice.

I think the singing competition was amazing however it was a bit unfair as two of the semi finalists were professional singers who sang (Michael buble) and in all honesty myself and other contestants was more entertaining ! That is all!!

Saturday night is manic,lots of drunk people having a great time 😁😁,the only thing was,the bouncers,they are very aggressive in dealing with people who are having a great

Went last night with my friends and my mum, yes my friend was drunk but not in the state as in falling over, being abusive or annoying anyone or overlydrunk just nice drunk. She had stopped drinking and went onto water. The owner asked the bouncers to tell us to leave but the bouncers were aburt towards us instead of asking polity they were horrible calling us with abusive language we caused no trouble what so ever, when we told them there is no need to be like that towards us they got even more abusive one put a fuss up to my mum!!! We certainly will not give our customers to them nomore and plus there was people in there more drunk!!!

Great singers, great staff, great atmosphere and just all round good fun! Great prices for drinks aswell. We had been in everynight at the weekend but on Monday we got searched when we went in, just found it strange they done it on a monday and not the weekend.

A pub I often drop into is Tess Riley's ,been here many times over the years ,it's a good city centre pub ,a cool looking serving bar ,pubby decor and furnishings and lots of seating options ,always thought it was a good pub till my last visit. Stood at the serving bar ,I ordered two ciders ,service was quick ,payed and proceeded to drink my cider,nothing unusual ,along side me were two young fella's who were arguing about being short changed ( ripped off ) by the barmaid ,oldish women behind the serving bar who was having none of it ,in fact she was dismissive and arrogant to the lads and a little sheepish looking ,been caught out and called out for the thief she is I suppose ,doormen came over and ushered lads out ,looking now at previous reviews I see they fell victim to member of staff who basically cheats customers ,shame on her,shame on the owners of the pub , we drank up and until these indiscretions are sorted I'll go elsewhere as will a lot of other people , I know what my solution would be to a member of staff acting in this manner.

Door staff lovely. Bar staff really rough such a shame a good pub but not nice being spoken too like rubbish will never go in again told all my friends and work colleagues a lot said the same .

Foods and staff are fab but you can't move inside due to delivery drivers sitting about waiting for orders...also outside with delivery scooters

Tess Riley's on Charlotte Row is a fantastic pub that offer's a fantastic food and drinks range and was rammed when we visited on a very hot evening.This is a pub we've been to many times over the year's as its a really lively pub in a lively area. This is a pub me and my twin brother don't normally visit as we are cask and craft ale drinker's and this pub doesn't normally do cask an craft beers.But on every occasion we have visited here its always busy. We visited here late in the afternoon and it was rammed and it took us a while for us to get served which was understandable as it was that busy.When we visited here we had a few pints of Guinness which were brilliant and price wise on par with other pubs and bars on this street except Wetherspoons.A pub with a lively atmosphere on a fantastic street and well worth visiting.(This is my 2nd review of Tess Riley's). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-11.00-Onwards.

Tess Riley's there was no food on offer, but the live music was great, and all different music . There was a different singer every two hours

Singer fantastic brilliant atmosphere great day

We love it here and go regularly to see the great singers. However yesterdays experience has stopped that and has put us off the place. We were ripped off at the bar by quite a substantial amount and only noticed on checking our bank statements today. The lady at the bar kept telling us that our cards were declined so we had to pay in cash. In fact the cards were not declined so we paid for each round of drinks twice! On one of these occasions we were short changed in cash by £5 too. Absolute scam, the bar staff must be making a fortune!

Called in Afternoon Friday 28th. Great place, the singer was good, the atmosphere was great. everyone seemed to be having a great time. The toilets were spotless and nice. Just don't but the nuts, i was starving but the brand they sell are just rank, i ended up leaving most of the packet. My partner who's from down South mentioned he loved it apart from the bar staff, he said he had never met such a miserable ignorant bunch in Liverpool, coming from a Southerner this is saying something. The only cloud on an otherwise great afternoon.

Brilliant venue for watching the races on Saturday. Not only is there a fantastic big screen but the booths also have screens. All the staff were fabulous. However, the downside which would make me think twice before returning is the unisex toilets. I did feel vulnerable when there were no other ladies present. There are two cubicles for ladies only but this did not stop men using them all day! It is a real shame as the venue is big enough to have the capacity for separate toilets.

We visited the new sports bar , the venue is lovely , however the gender neutral toilets do not work !! There are two female toilets however the men were using them , there was Urine all over the floor and toilet seats it was disgusting, unhygienic and dirty As a mature woman I did not feel safe using the toilets and we had to go in pairs for this reason, I would not return or recommend this venue

Extremely loud place to visit,I had to climb onto the bar and point out the drink I wanted because the barman couldn't hear me,never again.

Was in there on Sunday night (20th Nov 2022) and got ripped off by the old bar woman. Overcharged for two pints. I know one of the staff, who told me that she rips people off. Anyway, beware if you get served by this old woman behind the bar. She should be sacked as ity looks as though others have had the same the thing happen to them. Disgrace!
