Subhan has amazing service for me and my friends he was very friendly and always made sure we were okay 🥹💜

1.Prebooked table, No parking at all.had to park outside somewhere Found parking cordinator is rude. .we had to wait for 30 minutes to find table.. If you can not reserve table , stop taking prebooking 2.short staff? Had to find who can take order and serve 3. Food overrated quality Might be some love food here, but believe me its overrated.. 4.Quantity. 2 piece of kabab in the Plate for Starters.. Joke? 5 ambience Noisy overcrowded.. Might not return in future will seek other options for any occasions.

Finally managed to visit Tipu Sultan. It was a busy evening and the service reflected this. We had to stand get their attention initially. The food was a mixture, the mushroom paneer curry was nice but salty. Not too keen on their butter chicken at all! Chops for starters were tasty as was the spinach chicken although it looked very green! Lassi was tasty.

One of the best for pakistani cuisine you can find in Leicester. We wanted to dine in during our 2 months stay in Leicester but could not spare time for that. So got it delivered. Highly recommended for Pakistanis, Indians or anyone who enjoy spicy food.

Avoid! Terrible customer service from waitresses who stand there talking about you and intimidating. Coke spilt around us and they didn’t even bother cleaning our table or floor around us properly. Food was reheated and yoghurt inside tasted off with lumps inside the curry. Had a bad reaction to the food (stomach wise) awful food and awful service!

My self being in restaurant business for last 40 years staff needs to be trained properly 2 people were looking after the our side of the restaurant asked for glass of water for 4 times then waiter brought the water when the food came they just put the dishes on the table not asking who is having which dish,then they missed chicken spinach which came when other people had finish the meal.

If I could give it a 0 I would. It used to be my favourite restaurant but recently been a multiple of times where food has taken over an hour and a half to come out, waiters have been rude and then suddenly card machine breaks, but then works again when we don’t have enough cash. Wrong food being sent out on more than one occasion Blames being busy, then improve! Literally didn’t even eat the mains and had to leave.

The food was decent but the staff need more training on customer service. Very rude, inattentive and just overall horrible experience with them. Food was not worth that kind of hostility from hospitality workers. Do better

Lively atmosphere, extremely courteous staffs even though they were literally running between the orders as they were so busy and the food was top notch....loved everything...enjoyed the kebabs,haleem and the passion punch

I had my nikkah at Tipus and it was the biggest mistake ever. I spoke with the manager Noor multiple times. I explained that I wasn’t from Leicester and since this was my nikkah I wanted everything as perfect as possible. I was promised everything would go well but this was one heck of a lie. First, when guests arrived there were no complimentary drinks (yes, I did pay for it). Then the food came out 40mins late. When I asked why this was, they said it was because they didn’t know the exact times we were coming (another lie). We were at the mosque praying – I had called beforehand, and my friends turned up 20-25mintues (before everyone else) and told the restaurant to start preparing as the guests would be turning up. As if this wasn’t bad enough there was no cake table when I stressed enough times that I needed one. Again, my friends noticed this when they arrived and asked 3 times until they were finally given one. Now I’ve eaten at Tipus Birmingham and Tipus Nottingham before and their service has been good as well as their food. This was my first time in Tupus Leicester, and my experience has been awful. The food was disgusting – nothing like at the other sites. The desserts were just as bad. I feel very disappointed as this was my wedding day. I had entrusted them and paid a lot of money but in return was humiliated in front of my guests. They ruined my day. I spoke to the manager (Noor) who was rude and heartless. He kept saying nothing was his fault and offered no condolences. I would not recommend Tipu sultan in Leicester to anyone. They are clearly irresponsible enough to cater for special occasions and admit fault/apologize. I paid a lot of money, and they were not worth it all. Save yourself the loss and learn from my mistake. Invest in a company who have values and fear god.

Excellent high end Asian food establishment. Fantastic service, highly recommend. Can accommodate large groups as well.

Overall experience review added for Thursday 29/2/24, service not that great had to keep asking for stuff, food came staggered not all together which meant some of us had food and some of us had to wait a long while especially with our main meal my food came at least 20 minutes later the rice had gone cold by then, two of ended up unwell at night not clear whether the food had been pre cooked and served. Hardly any service until we called or when they came to give food, not good value for money, dissatisfied with a fine dining experience.

Luxurious interiors! Excellent Service! Lip smacking food! We had a great time with family and friends. Everything we ordered was perfectly cooked and delicious. I love their Hariyali chicken. I found it with the same taste what we had at their Birmingham branch years back. We'll definitely recommend it to everyone. Thanks to your staff, everyone was very helpful ☺️

It was a very special day for me because it was my daughter’s birthday. And I plan to go to Tipu sultan restaurant which is 5 miles from my home. I was very excited to eat here because it was my first visit to Tipu Sultan. I ordered 3 starters which was Fish Pakora, Chilli paneer and Haryali chicken in this starters the chilli paneer was good but other items was not good. In the main course I ordered Nihari which was very - very bad and the taste was very bad. The Nihari was very cold and nans were also not good because they were not soft. The food was not good. My money was wasted and my day was ruined. After returning back to home I was very sad because my day was not good after visiting this restaurant. The atmosphere was good but the food was not good. Now onwards I’ll not visiting this restaurant in my life…

Food: Good quality, flavourful. Ordered the mixed grill for starters, then a selection of curries and freshly made Naans. Service: Food arrived with 20 minutes of order, starters, then mains about 15 mins after that. Staff friendly and provided hot disposable towels. Atmosphere: Was very busy on this Saturday night with groups of guests celebrating birthdays etc but by about 9pm went very quiet. Shaxos Travel on YT

Visiting UK from Houston TX. Went to this restaurant with my cousins. It's a massive place but very well maintained and clean. Very good service and quality food choices. Tried a couple of different things. BBQ platter and pishwari chicken is a must

Every time I've come I've had a very good experience. There is rarely a wait for a table, even during the busy periods. The staff are polite and efficient which was great too. We came as a large group and ordered various dishes and there wasn't a complaint about any of them, the food was pretty nice like usual.

Very good catering, came all the way from Oxford city to try this restaurant as recommeneded by a friend from Leicester. Amazing food and even amazing top notch service by the guy named Subhan. Thanks

Arrived with friends, and Mr. Subhan served us excellently. Everything was really efficient, and the atmosphere was great too.

Nice food, good portions and lovely interior design of the restaurant. It feels like a high end hotel's restaurant. The service was great, good attention to details. The waiter wore gloves all the time and brought heated napkins at the start and at the end of the service. They also welcomed changes to dishes that pleases customers which was very much appreciated. There were a couple of times it was difficult to call the waiter in the room as he was checking his phone. Chicken tikka and watermelon juice were delicious. It was overall a great experience.

We were eating waiter came took the plates away while we were eating which is disrespectful because we were not finished and then we end up paying full amount with no apologise even manager was called.

Excellent taste and great ambience. The service provided by Subhan was impeccable. Highly recommended. The food overall was great but I believe the starters were more appealing than the main course especially the Papri chaat was highlight.

I came here at here at 16:55 and was sat on the table at 17:00. I knew what I wanted so did my children as we have come here before. No waiter or waitress came to our table to even ask if we wanted any drinks or anything for 15 minutes then I had to call a waitress and say we have been sat here and no one has even acknowledged us. After this she called a waiter who took our drinks order. I ordered Blue Lagoon drinks for kids and a jug of water. The blue Lagoons came but the jug of water never came. At 17:30 we ordered our food after calling the waiter. We ordered Lamb chops, korai Chicken, Butter Chicken, Rice, chips, and two cheese nans. The food arrived at 17:55. The looked fabulous and tasted delicious. We finished at 18:20 and got some of the food packed. Still no water or jug in sight.

Apart from green chicken tilkka , I didn't like the spices used . Not to my taste

First time coming, Came for our families birthdays & will never return! The service was absolutely shocking! Had to wait ages to be seated. When we finally were, we had to keep asking for a drinks order & some menus. When we asked for a drink for our child, the waitress gave us attitude! There were 5 waitresses/waiters cleaning tables next to us, however! Two were cleaning, the other 3 just stood around watching & completely ignored us. We had to keep asking for service. We either got ignored with attitude or it took several attempts to actual get what we asked for. We had to BEG for jugs of water & didn’t get until 30 minutes later. When they finally came to take our order (to look up ourselves on our phones on the website menu) they finally to a drinks order. We seriously can’t believe the attitude we got when we had to beg for our child to have a drink. My partners & my food was nice but the rest of Our families food wasn’t cooked properly. It was sent back! We can’t believe the attitude when we had to ask for service several times & got ignored. My partner & I would’ve just left of it wasn’t for our family staying! My cousin had to beg for some popadoms for our child, she was that hungry waiting! We were all thirsty & so hungry waiting! The manager was consulted several times! WE’VE NEVER RECEIVED SUCH RUDE SERVICE!!! ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING!!! NEVER COMING BACK!!!!!!

I was expecting a high standard but was left disappointed. Our group had complaints about a few of the main course dishes. The starters were good. The service was poor. It took 30 mins to get our drinks alone.

Visited with family for a new year's dinner, this place has the best ambience and lovely decor. Have been here before but the food failed to impress. We ordered, Chilli Paneer and Chilli Mogo - Both soaked in sauces with pieces of paneer and mogo, peppers, didnt have any flavour at all apart from the chilli sauce taste. Sultani Lamb Chops - Too hard and chewy. Toofani Paneer - I am aware this is a spicy dish, but this time it was unbearably spicy, there is a difference to adding spice and throwing a load of chilli powder on to a dish, think the second happened here. Again no flavour at all. Lamb Sultani gravy - Good. Lamb Biriyani - Ok. Chocolate heaven cake - Very good. Staff were lovely as usual, good, prompt service. Won't be visiting again though as the food gave me stomach cramps.

Asked for medium spice and was served hot 🥵 food. Then the manager said I have been in the industry for 13 years not sure what relevance that was! Spoiled the evening and my daughter was feeling sick! Patronising, arrogant and rude manager! We came for a meal not to be served anything and then response is we will take it off the bill as if I’m a charity case! They didn’t even taste the food to see if it was hot or not, instead got a lecture on their spices and how Asian food is hot! As if I don’t know when you eat it everyday! Last straw won’t bother ordering from them. New chef I think & a manager who has issues. Didn’t even call the manager, in the end had to tell him GO AWAY!

Came for dinner with some friends, and this was my second time visiting. The food was great however the service was very slow. On several occasions we were ignored. When asked for water and the bill it never came until we asked again. We were often left between meals waiting a while and trying to get waiters attention and unfortunately the waiters all seemed miserable. The food was lovely however and we enjoyed our dishes greatly. Just a shame on the service this time round. The first time I visited the service was just as amazing as the food!

Extremely disappointed…. Went yesterday around 9pm and we already had reserved a table and requested the sofa section however first they tried to give a middle table which would not be convenient for handling a baby along trying to enjoy a meal when requesting one table with the sofa section a miserable waiter said it was reserved and we had to go to the reception so we can get the seating requested. We were given the food menu only and we had request the drinks menu. We ordered 2 x 2 pappadoms with sauce tray and they served all pappadoms in one plate instead of two plates. The starters had not dressing of any sort such as coriander sprinkled on top or any other sort. The mains were completely inedible as there were tons of chillies including the biryani. The waiter seemed like he didn’t like us and his treatment was despicable. This is the second occasion where the treatment at Tipu Sultan was astonishing.

Bad service, very slow and food was not great at all. I have become ill with food poisoning, its currently 5:37 am and I have just puked up for the 5th time since eating from here which was about 9 hours ago! Wont be going again!

Out of 4 dish we had ordered 3 were below par We ordered Sultani lamb boti which was very chewy, chilly paneer very tangy(we even have feedback to waiter when asked for but no revert not sure why they ask) and Nihari which was below par as well Bit disappointed as we went out of the way to visit the restaurant while going to London from Blackpool

The person was very rude with us and kept on arguing with us. Kept on not accepting for what he had done.

Asked for no onion or peppers due to my allergy which was told not an issue then received a starter which was garnished with onion and peppers! Poor service and rude staff if you have a food allergy don't go here! Added extra starters over double that weren't even ordered!

Food was nice but too spicy and when we asked the waiters they said all is premarinated and nothing can be done I mean we spent £200 for nothing no one was happy so I dnt think we will be returning in the near future and very disappointed 😔 💔 kids were not impressed.... we had the sultani platter and did ask the waiter but he didn't have a clue if it's spicy or not and they should teach the waiters like what is spicy and what isn't especially when you have health conditions 🤔. We all family have food poisoning with the food ate at Tipu Sultan so not happy and won't be coming back please avoid.

Great dining experience! Loved the decor and the service was brilliant, staff were friendly and very attentive . Food was brought out very quickly. Could tell it was all fresh, everything tasted amazing and the portions were massive! Definitely get a lot for your money. Took half of it home and it will last another couple of meals! Ordered a jug of mango lassi, which was fresh, not out of a bottle, fish pakoras and lamb chops, ghosht biriani, one of the lamb curries, garlic and keema naan (they were proper sized naan), mango and passion fruit cheesecake and gulab jamun, which were hot with ice cream. All the food was amazing. The one negative is that they call it majestic, but most of the guys, customers, were in jogging bottoms and trainers, some were wearing baseball caps. A recommendation is to impliment a dress code befitting the place. It's a bit odd when the waiting staff are in white shirts wearing ties, the venue is so beautiful, and a lot of the customers look like they've just come from the gym.

Went to Tipu Sultan, after a year. We ordered the sultani meat platter, masala fries, hyderabadi ghosht and garlic naan. The starters priced over £25 but what u get is not worth price or the taste. The chicken tandoori and lamb seekh were nice but rest was just ok. The Hyderabadi Ghosht was disappointing (sorry did not take a photo) the meat had a bad after taste and portion was quite small for £14. Naan and fries were normal. I know its inflation and prices have to go up, but its disappointing when quality and taste does not match up to the what you are paying. Service and ambience were good, also ample parking space as they have their own car park Its very difficult to find a consistent Indian/Pakistani food restaurant in Leicester. one day will be great next will be quite poor. Please do let me know if you know of one that is consistent.

Avoid ! Been on the toilet all night . Food was not Cooke properly and the lab chops were chewy and horrible .

The food was pretty average and extra hot. The service was very poor. The waiter needs to be more active and trained better. It felt like as if you were being given free food, such was the level of service.

Starter was great, Platter was also great but wasn't enough for £25.99, main manu was just ok, we also chicken tikka and butter chicken which were almost identical in taste apart from colour and it wasn't great taste, seems like some just pour paste over the chicken and presented it. Individual chicken tikka boti was nice.

It is definitely a decent place, for families mostly though, and the food is a little messy tbh. Clean facility, but could be cleaner (they do not remove other plates and cutlery even if you eat alone in a table for 4 people, so it is a definite possibility the previous customer did leave my cutlery unclean).
