Customer service was appalling, waited 10 minutes an till a waiter came over to ask what we would like to drink. Food was really dry and tasteless. Will not be going back anytime soon.

Unhappy Sunday unfortunately.. We work hard to enjoy with family on the weekends then choose some of our country’s home food but the frustration was big, first of all.. the typical Brazilian soft drink was missing, which is guaraná and no natural juice available. The buffet had a very bad presentation, plus nothing there was fresh food. There was a lot of bad things, dirty cups, missing cutlery.. confused of what to do as no staff helped when entering and ordering.. the sausages seemed raw and the beef/meet seemed like it was microwaved from the day before. I am not doing the to criticise the business but to help and for you guys find something you’re good at as it’s obvious restaurants isn’t it.

We tried to take on a bbq buffet for 8-10 people without realising but we regret nothing, Everything tasted amazing and the owner was lovely! Highly recommended

Cristiano was an absolutely lovely host, accompanied by beautiful foods, great selection of meats and good music! Great little family ran restaurant and introduced me to a new Brazilian soft drink called guarana! Will defo be back!

Definitely the worst Brazilian restaurant I've ever been to in England!! As soon as I walked in, I understood why such a large restaurant was empty at 2pm on a Saturday. Starting with the waiter with long hair, he didn't say a word when I walked in. He just stared at me. I had to introduce myself and ask how the restaurant worked. I thought the guy was pretty ignorant. Then he handed me the menu and I had to try to figure out how it worked. I asked for a buffet with meats, but I don't think he understood me and they served me a buffet with rice, beans with sausage and salads. I didn't see any meat. For the price, there should have been more variety. There were no napkins or salad dressing on the table. Finally, I went to the bathroom and there was no soap. I think you guys need Chef Jacam urgently.

Popped in on a Sunday evening for a very quick bite to eat. The place was empty, and the entrance was confusing through a strange door which looked like an entrance to an apartment block. We had a burger fries and onion rings, all came out quickly, exactly as we needed, and was okay. Nothing special, food was piping hot but not sure we'll be back in a hurry.

A comida estava bem gostosa , e nao achamos nada caro, esta super em conta, bem acessível. O Cris serviu a gente e ele foi um amor muito simpático e fez a gente se sentir em casa , a gente vai voltar e recomenda muito 🤗❤

It was a cold dark but dry Sunday night, no one about on the streets, area seemed deserted, restaurant also deserted as only ones in. They still stayed open. Tried Joao Brazllian Steakhouse first time just for a hamburger plus chips, the simplest one. Very very good and reasonably priced as well. Meat was tender and tasty chips were good. Asked for some hot sauce and brought choice of two, both hot with different distinct tastes which is excellent. Stakes beyond my budget for evening

Very welcoming hosts. The selection of meats that were brought out included beef - chicken - pork. Slow cooked over a traditional Brazilian bbq. 10/10. This is definitely the best Brazil restaurant in Bristol..✅

Went to collect for too good to go and it was closed I'm extremely disappointed edit: owner messaged me and talked about the too good to go app apparently the app has an issue I told them to contact too good to go service and they agreed and gave me a 50% discount

Food was incredible (BBQ meats freshly cut at your table, as much as you like ♥️), salad, rice and chicken dishes. Great prices! The staff were really friendly with a Brazilian music channel on the TV. My other half said it was tasty, authentic tasting Brazilian food (She's from Brazil). The pictures are not the best but it is a plate of meat (Pork, beef, chicken wings, chicken hearts and Sausage 👌). ♥️♥️♥️ We will 100% go back! I will get better pics next time.

Piles of incredibly salty meat won't be to everyone's taste. But the staff here are amazing folk wanting their customers to have a good time. So come on a Saturday night for the beers, cheap cocktails and after-dinner shots.

Worst take-away in Bristol Went to collect my food this evening and was given one container of food (pictured above) the long haired employee asked me to swipe collect on the app, I was left thinking where is the rest of the food as he only gave me one small tub. My partner returned into the restaurant immediately and questioned the presentation and what the food actually contains as there was no labels and the employee didn’t explain what the food is. My partner raised the issue that this was meant to be £13.50 worth of food. The employee couldn’t give any justification and stared blankly. The employee didn’t give any alternative option and refused to replace the food. In the end my partner left the food in the empty restaurant. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Had a lovely experience and enjoyed the full BBQ meats menu, we were fortunate to be offered, rump steak, rib, lamb and chicken. It's a family run business which was nice to see, the buffet foods weren't labeled which made it hard to know what you're eating. Other than that, the service was great and we loved the green and red card option too.

despite the silly reviews (that are mostly aimed at the Too Good To Go App)! This place is fantastic, the meat is cooked beautifully (tender and juicy) and the selection of salads and extra sides were all delicious 😍 sitting in the restaurant made all of us feel like we were on holiday eating some fabulous food! it was quiet and the perfect spot for a catch up, good food and a laugh. Great services with some good banter, can't wait to revisit! P.s I wouldn't order steak and chips on a delivery food app, so why are people getting so funny about picking up there orders? seems bizarre to me??

Went here for my birthday with my partner and was honestly one of the best meals for a while. The hot buffet was great enough but having the fresh meat come delivered to your table too made it special. Will recommend and come back again.

Service was amazing; quick and very friendly. Portion sizes are great and you’ll definitely overestimate how much you’re able to eat, but the food is so good you’ll keep pushing till you’re about to burst (especially the chicken, I still get flashbacks bc of how good it was)

What a gem of a restaurant. Don't be fooled by the quietness of the resturant, the food here is AMAZING and im a very fussy customer. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the food was authentic and fresh. They had soooo many variety of meats more than any rodizio i have been to. Good music, good vibes, definitely be back 👌🏽

Even though the restaurant was quiet we had Cristiano undivided attention, Meats were juicy and delicious cooked perfectly! Cocktails are also amazing fully recommend Caipirana made with Guaraná I had 3 of them 😁

Really rude customer service. Nothing is their fault and staff & owner have a knee jerk reaction to denying responsibility. Food arrived cold and steak over cooked. EDIT: Just to confirm my point about the owner being rude and not accepting any responsibility, please read his response below. There are so many amazing places to eat in Bristol and this is not one of them.

Very overpriced, low quality buffet food. Poor customer service too, staff were rude and unwilling to correct their mistake in my order.

They’re so rude and especially with the top food to go app. They’re good was disgusting not even 5 star rated food and it wasn’t even Brazilian food either. Very disappointed and very glad I got a refund for the food.

Pictures aren’t great, but the food was! Really hospitable, amazing service, not made to feel like a pig for eating ALL of the best cooked meat you’ve ever had. It was outstanding and we will return. Can’t comment for the cold stuff, but the lamb and beef were delicious. Highly recommend. Go here and take me with you!!!!

scam artists I ordered a too good to go bag from them and i traveled 30 minutes. once I was in there they decided they would cancel my order without any apologies or notice and blamed everything on me. The man was rude and still tried charging me 7 pounds for no food and refused to cancel my order until I said I was going to complain. there customers service is appalling and definitely don’t recommend nor will I be revisiting the restaurant. One very disappointed customer😡😡

Eu e o meu namorado, queríamos matar um pouco de saudades, com esperança de sairmos satisfeitos mas, ficamos desiludidos, para começar, não havia entradas e nem sobremesas, buffet de pouca escolha...e para ajudar o funcionário que nos atendeu não devia ter experiência porque não nos falou das ofertas que tinham nem como funcionava, falava super baixo ao ponto de não conseguirmos perceber nada, ainda se esqueceu de trazer a bebida e quando o fez ainda partiu o copo...saímos desiludidos...

A really good and authentic Brazilian restaurant , we have started with a good buffet and then the real experience started: different kind of meats, like lamb, beef, really really good picaña and a lot more. In the meantime we also received fries and some super tasty fried banana. Then we thought that we were full, we tried chicken hearts and then the Piña(pineapple) with cannella! That was amazing! Really recommended! Oh when you arrive, it appear very very simple, but simple things are always the best!

Such a shame as we had a lovely time but we were told out bill was £45 then found out we were charged £69… when I called (thinking that it was a honest mistake) i was lied to, being told it was a service charge.. which i know is not true as my husband had gone there just to days ago and ordered the same thing and only paid around £20 (for him self) such a shame as we planed to take more friends and family there but now will not as as our money was deceitfully taken, i will not be recommending or coming here again.. i hope the extra £20 was worth it.. such a shame. Please do not continue this behaviour and do better

Used the Too good to go app to purchase my meal. Not sure what the eat in experience is like but can only review the food I received. I received 2 take-away tubs full. One generous tub full of cold cut meats, pork & beef. Other tub was a vegan box, half mixed with a variety of beans, chopped red onion, herbs and spices while the other half was something I had never eaten before, a couscous like texture. Good hearty meal but not again for me thanks…… 👊🏽very bland for my liking needed to add Encona hot sauce to make it meet my spice level standard 🔥 5/10 🤷🏽‍♂️

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!! I never leave reviews, but this one is a must... My girlfriend & I saw this place with the positive comments, and we expected something at least satisfactory. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The food was cold, practically inedible with miniscule portions. As an added bonus, the staff were rude and blamed the food quality on me as the customer... If you want a truly SHOCKING evening, dine in for two and experience the fright of your lives. Would perhaps recommend to a Labrador (ours seemed pleased).

This place was absolutely amazing. The family that run it are the loveliest people we met on our 5day trip to Bristol!! They spent time talking with us about life back in Brazil and the morals and standards they carry with them,it was clear through talking to them how much they care and love community which made the experience all the more worthwhile. The food was absolutely gorgeous and they wouldn't let us leave until I had my favourite pineapple!! I actually wanted to eat there for the rest of the week !! We will definitely be coming back and is now on our top favourite list.

Amazing dinner at Tio Joao, the staff is extremely friendly, great atmosphere with some live music, and of course the food itself was delicious. Highly recommend!

Bought via deliveroo. I had steak, plantain and white rice. Portion size and tastiness was spot on. The steak and it's seasoning was absolutely delicious. I would have liked my plantains fried more, but that's just personal preference. Good value for money. Will definitely be a regular. Can't wait to go in person when we are allowed to eat out again.

We did a Too good to go magic bag and when we lifted the chicken, underneath was black n sludgy looking. Maybe it was bad luck as all reviews seems good but i was not impressed so went for McDs instead😊

The best Brazilian Steak house in Bath. Went there 6 times and NEVER get disappointed. The guys are always looking to achieve a better customer service, and they are very passionate on what they do! The Hot food buffet is A-mazing... the could Buffet is MUST-TRY! Doesn't matter if you are vegetarian, they always find a way to make you feel special! Well done guys! Keel the good job!

Ok food and lovely staff but very expensive, main course is £24.00 . All you can eat but you would have to eat a lot for it to be worth it . The meat was good quality but basically just barbecued.

Absolutely amazing had a brilliant evening. Highly recommended and will no doubt have to start booking as people discover it. Essential to go with an empty stomach and a sense of humour as brilliant food and an entertaining evening. Not recommended for vegetarians or stuffed shirts. We LOVED IT and the lovely family who own it.

We loved our trip to this little gem. The food and service were outstanding. The staff were lovely and we’ll definitely eat there again. I think the pair of 1 star reviews I’ve read on here are unfair, so please don’t judge this place on them alone; give it a chance.

I guess it’s not often that a review is posted without having experienced the cuisine. However, whilst I was looking at the menu from outside I was warmly welcomed by a member of staff who invited me in to look at what was on offer. I was quite surprised to find both the cooked and and salad food uncovered on a warm afternoon with a couple of flies getting their ‘all they can eat’ feast. Ok, I understand the promo of fresh food every day, but for how long does it stay in the trays uncovered. Given that the restaurant was empty I’m afraid my short visit was enough to suggest I won’t be returning, sorry.

We visited 2 times already. The food is Amazing and service as well. U can eat as much as u want and there is a big variety of food. Highly recommended
