The food was lovely and served quickly, and the location is great. However, the service was disappointing— the waitresses were extremely rude, even rolling their eyes when an additional order was forgotten.

Awful experience, never had such bad service. We felt like an inconvenience, I was given dirty looks from the waitress when ordering a drink. The wait staff were rude and to be honest ruined my birthday meal , will not be returning.

A very nice place to eat for lunch. The specialties and pizzas are quite good.

Unfortunately a classic case of fantastic food ruined by terrible service. I came in last night at 7:30 with a friend and waited at the door for a few minutes until an unsmiling waitress stared at us prompting us to speak when my friend said she had a reservation, she sort of glanced to her right and sat us on a singular table that was as far in the corner as possible. I don’t mind this as there was clearly a large Christmas function on. This waitress spent the whole evening on her phone, right next to us while she polished cutlery and forgot we were there. She went to take our food order after a minute and when we said we needed a bit more time, she came back after another 10. The food was excellent and reasonably priced for Bristol pizza and so were the pints. But whenever I looked up above my friend was the waitress on her phone. While we were still at the restaurant and had not yet paid with our waitress, we went to the smoking area, and when we came back she was sitting on our chairs on her phone, and didn’t realise until we were standing next to her … she was the only staff member we had been with that night bar the lovely man who served us our food, so did she forget we had to pay? As a restaurant manager myself this really hurt to watch. When your server looks like they would rather be doing anything else than be there it can ruin an evening for you. Again the food was great so no knocks on that and the venue itself is beautiful.

Booked the Bocabar for a birthday event. All through the process the staff were very helpful and friendly. On the night the food and service was excellent. 16 people and nothing went wrong. Great atmosphere, good selection of food and drinks. It's also slightly away from the mayhem of the city center, so the area was buzzing but without the drunken crowds. Thanks for the gteat service and making a great time.

Superb pizzas. Really fresh and tasty. Didn't try the rest of the menu but looks good. Atmosphere was buzzing( Friday night) and we had a big table to seat our group. Great pub next door (Left Handed Giant) if you want to go on, although you can happily stay after your meal and just have drinks etc. Love the Paintworks bocabar too, though this one feels more restaurant-ish. Will be back !

Lovely lunch. Highly recommend the Mediterranean Houmous Salad. Very colourful.

Great pizza. Positive and helpfull staff. We booked a table but at the wrong venue so phoned the manager for us so we didn't get charged for not showing up.

Food was decent. Not spectacular compared to similar offerings, but you're unlikely to be disappointed. Unfortunately to echo (heh) other comments, the bar is built in a brick and glass cube meaning even a handful of tables with people talking at a reasonable volume creates and overwhelming din it's hard to hear over. Most groups including ours ended up migrating outside ASAP to actually speak to one another and be understood. Service was reasonably speedy when we went, though not very friendly. I'd not really knock points for it, but they do make a service charge mandatory so they're getting marked on what I had to pay for it.

Visited a few times now for both food and drinks. Good selection of drinks and the food has been really good each time. There is a good selection of different pizzas, the ones I’ve tried have all been nice and on thin crispy bases. Good amount of indoor seating and a nice outdoor area with some cover as well.

Have been here several times and enjoyed it. However, today tried the new lamb shoulder wrap and was very disappointed. Over half the meat was tough skin and gristle. Rest of wrap was ok. I gave feedback to sweet waitress so hope it was passed on. Lamb wrap is great idea but you really need to check the quality of the meat.

Dark and unwelcome place. If there was minus starts I would be more than happy to do it. I stayed over 15 minutes on the terrace went to toilets and did confirmed with the manager that they served outside, however no one even showed to get my drinks order. The old BocaBar was way better, don’t know what happened with the owners did they earn enough money to neglect their business or did new owners inherited the venues. Shame!

I had a margherita pizza. Pizza wasn't bad. I wasn't too fond of the pesto, but more so, the oil drizzled on top. I don't think it added enough flavour to allow the extra grease. Other than this, the flavour of the pizza sauce was nice. The menu does suggest they have crust dips, but when I asked I only got offered ketchup and mayo. Absolutely loved this place. Had a few drinks one night, lovely atmosphere. Next morning had their breakfast...it was the best ever, thoroughly recommend this place for dinner, drinks, and/or breakfast.

Been to the Bocabar in Paintworks & thrilled to say this lives up to the reputation. Great food & Drink, served by Joe who made us feel so welcome & was an absolute star. We will be back!

Service is not great, very slow considering how empty it was. Staff were most of their time behind an empty bar whilst we sat without food/drinks.

I’ve had food here twice now and am always blown away by how good it is! Visited for a work xmas meal and the quality was amazing, especially for the price. More recently have tried the pizzas which are absolutely incredible! Would definitely recommend to any foodies!

We went there at 1800hrs on new year's eve for a pizza and we couldn't believe that it was shut!! No mention on the website/Google Maps, so 40mins walking wasted... We'd been here the last time we were in Bristol and had delicious, tasty pizza, hence why we wanted to go back for more - it wasn't so much it was closed (understandably on new year's eve), but that their website and Maps hadn't been updated. We ended up having pizza in the hotel - it was disgusting. However, the hotel was paying double time to staff and they were inundated with volunteers to work - go figure...

Quite noisy because the main room is so echoey, but nice food and staff

I'd give it another go. Great aromas coming from the kitchen. Good quality pizza. Staff friendly although just not that attentive for the meal we had. Some of the puddings not good. Blondie pudding was not soft as you would expect.

Brilliant visit! Really couldn’t fault anything! Food was tasty and well presented, huge choice of pizzas and gluten free bases lovely! We also had two sides, wings and fries, which were also gluten free. Had a large glass of wine and partner had alcohol free beer (one of 5 alcohol free options!) which went down very well. Definitely will go back and definitely recommend.

We came here for some drinks at the end of the night, lots of variety of drinks available, nice comfortable chesterfield sofas - can’t complain!

I bought my beer and sat in the garden and I'm still waiting for half an hour for someone to come and bring the menu. What a shame, such a beautiful place full of such irresponsible employees.

Popped into Boca this morning for brunch. It was a lovely chilled experience. Staff are welcoming and attentive. Had a Bloody Mary and Full Boca Breakfast. Both were seasoned to perfection. The Bloody Mary packed a punch. The breakfast was made with tasty quality produce and ingredients. I loved the tasty tomatoes which were seasoned garlic. Best breakfast I have had in quite some time. Compliments to the Bartender and the Chef.

The pizza is out of this world and my mouth waters at the thought of it. The location is so naughty being next to the offices as it’s such a temptation 😋

Very great and nice atmosphere, with couches and comfortable chairs. You can sit inside where you can listen to calm and quiet music, but you can also sit outside and watch the LED lights. You can choose between many excellent meals, from burger over salads and many other things to pizza. It All tastes delicious. But theres also a large sortiment of drinks, like tasty lemonades, cocktails and beers. The staff was very friendly. We had a great time! ONLY TO RECCOMEND

Was greeted by what seemed to be the manager/owner, who squeezed us in despite it being busy. Lovely atmosphere, friendly and efficient service. Pizzas were massive. The base was somewhere in between neopolitan and NYC style. Toppings seemed high quality. Burger meal could have came with a few more chips but I understand what it's like nowadays. They're really specific points though, can't fault it really.

Went here for a work lunch. Was quite busy so was a little slow getting our food but as to be expected at lunchtime on a lovely sunny day. Great menu with a fair amount of vegan options, friendly service and a lovely spot for lunch

Wow!! What a wonderful time!! My Mum arranged my Hen Party at Boca Bar Finzel’s Reach & it was the perfect place to gather all of my friends & family together to celebrate. With an indoor & outdoor area reserved especially for us. Ben was absolutely amazing, so attentive & making it such a special experience. Awesome pizza & I loved the peach Bellini. Thanks so much to Brendan, Ben & the whole team. I couldn’t have wished for a better Hen. We’ll definitely be back again & again. Thanks Jess & Julie Xxx

My partner and I visited Bocabar on Valentine's day. I ordered a vegetarian calzone and a pizza while my partner had a ham and cheese calzone. Our food didn't take long to arrive, definitely less than 30'. Both of us were happy with how the food tasted and looked. Halfway through my meal, I found a long strand of hair on my pizza - gross, I thought but I kept on eating regardless. No more than a minute later my partner found a 5cm long, plastic white bit in her calzone which kind of looked like the handle of a plastic fork or spoon. We couldn't believe in our eyes that this huge thing wasn't noticed by the kitchen staff!! We informed the waitress immediately who profoundly apologised and told us that we wouldn't have to pay for the calzone. Usually when something like this happens, the manager comes and apologises, as it isn't the waiting staff's job to do that. Fast forward 10' later, we asked for the bill which took like another 10' to arrive, although the place was more than half empty at that point. Lo and behold, there was our bill, which included the tainted calzone. We had to mention that we didn't get a discount. After that, the waitress apologised and returned with the updated bill. I had high expectations but will definitely not set foot there ever again.

Deliciously thin based 13-inch pizzas, at ~£14 each. The salami on the Bahia Picante pizza was fantasticly moorish, though I do wish it also came with some jalapeños on top, too, to complete the dish 👌

Good selection of drinks, food is pretty good. Can't give more than 3 stars as it's not dog friendly (inside) which is a shame/bizarre as most other pubs in Bristol are.

I ordered a vegetarian Calzone for lunch, and they gave me a meat calzone. I realised it after eating a couple of bites, when I could see red meat in it! Anyway, I spoke to the waiter and they were absolutely non apologetic about it, saying that I should've mentioned that I ordered a vegetarian one, even when I clearly asked him for a vegetarian one, I even pointed it out on the menu! My colleagues were with me and even they had seen that I was very clear about my order earlier. I spoke to the manager, and they apologised saying that it was an 'honest mistake'. I believe they spoke to the waiter about it after that, because that's when they came back to me saying that it was their mistake. The least they could do was to apologise in the beginning, instead they chose to argue mentioning that I wasn't clear, even when three other people who were with me clearly saw me order a vegetarian one. I'd never go back here, and wouldn't recommend any vegan/vegetarian person to go dine here.

Good pizza, OK wine. Way too noisy on a Tuesday night to enjoy yourselves. I asked for the bill but gave up and had to go to the bar in the end, at which point all the staff had disappeared. So not a great experience.

Loved the pizza here. Great variety of pizzas and burgers and plenty of vegetarian options. Huge choice of drinks including cocktails. Dint find any whisky to order. It was a bit busy for my liking but enjoyed my time here.

If you’re looking for a well crafted pizza you’re in for a treat. Gluten free base is surprisingly good. 2nd visit: top quality brunch. Lucky to have it on the doorstep.

When ordering at the bar I enquired whether with the pulled pork cantinas, I could have the salsa verde on the side and was told that it was all part of the mix so not possible which is fine not a problem. However I then asked what was in the salsa as I have allergies and have been caught out in the past. To this the person serving me asked her colleague behind her who just shrugged her shoulders and I was told by the server that she didn't know. I further asked whether it would contain any nuts and got the same response. I then proceeded to explain that I was allergic to certain nuts. To this her response was do you have allergies, repeated a few times whilst I was saying, don't worry I will just pay for the drinks with the intention to review the menu on our table. When I tried to pay contactlessly for my drinks I walked away the 2m to the table and unfortunately it required my pin and so thankfully didn't go through. The server then stormed over to the table loudly and rudely explaining that I had just walked off without checking it went through and that I would need to do it again. I went to pay for it again, I tapped but then noticed that they had already added the food, which they couldn't tell me whether I could eat or not. I pointed this out and after which they just walked off and had a conversation with presumably the manager with her showing the terminal, leaving me checking my phone repeatedly to see whether I had been charged. I know it was a busy moment when I was trying to order, that it is a faff having allergies, and times are tough, but really the server wass rude and unprofessional. I did try to raise this directly with the bar but as I've got no response here we are.

Another great Bocabar franchise, however, this one is more central-located. Fantastic place, with great staff, and strongly recommend it for a happy hour after work. I prefer to sit outside, especially in summer time.

Really impressed with the table service, especially having only gone here because we were appalled at the service we received in a different well-known Bristol rooftop venue. Also super impressed with the pizzas, we had one regular and one gluten-free (side note, an enquiry about the gluten free beer offering utterly confused the bartender) and we were both very happy with the quality. Recommend.

Was tough to review as I had two completely different experiences within two days. First trip would have been a 5 star, excellent service, the food was incredible, such a good looking bar right in between new and old Bristol. We loved it so much we visited a second time the next day and was completely disappointed. We got sat down to our table in the corner had to wait 30 minutes just for someone to come take our order. Then after another 30 minutes passed, we hadn't even got our drinks and we were considering just leaving, our food arrived. We had to ask where our drinks were, and were not offered any condiments like we had been the day before, which is a shame because we loved there chilli oil. I was so confused because it wasn't even busy, I think it just comes down to which staff you get on the day. But the food was still lovely and if you flip a coin you might get a 5 star meal

Fantastic choice of drinks - wine and beer. Extra tasty pizza and served quickly! They are also paying a lot of attention to covid safety so you also feel safe- you can order via an app, with a server or at the bar. Great experience.

Was waiting for a long time to be seated. Staff wondering around ignoring us. Lots of tables were not cleared. Only given one menu per table. Staff did not advise us how to order. Had to figure that out for ourselves. The foods was nice but not worth the terrible customer service. Will not be returning.

Food was good, but not a very inclusive payment system they've got during COVID. I was advised I could only order through the app, I couldn't pay via my debit card or cash. They're app asks you to confirm needless information to make payment. Wouldn't recommend unless they sort out making payments easier for people, what if I didn't have a phone?

Good food, bad customer service. We were a group of five who had booked a table (so they knew we were coming) on a Friday lunchtime to go for a team meal out. The place was about a quarter full, plenty of staff around and yet we had to wait over an hour for our food which was just pizzas, a wrap, and a burger. When we asked someone where our food was she replied "it hasn't been an hour" and walked off. Not offering to check for us or anything. Umm hun, we've got our phones next to us and are very aware we have meetings to go back to so have been watching the time. It was just rude. There are lots of great places in Bristol to go for food so my colleagues and I won't be returning to Boca Bar anytime soon.

Pizzas are awesome. One is probably enough for two. Great beer too. Service not quite perfect but v good.
