Tinseltown in City of London, Westminster

Arrived to the restaurant it was really quiet so was seated quickly. Waiter was not very friendly just told us to go to the desk & order when ready. When ordered the food took ages to arrive around 45minutes to arrive & the restaurant was fairly quiet. Food was ok nothing great reminded me of frozen food also not hot enough. Ordered waffles after that took around an hour to arrive & definitely not worth the wait was bland dry & not enough toppings was really not worth the wait or the cost. Definitely needs improvement with customer service, wait times & quality of food

Only good thing was the friendly staff. Apart from that, food was absolutely terrible, the beef burger and french fries were 100% taken from the frozen section of a supermarket, whereas the chicken burger (both the chicken and the patty) were COLD. Disappointing by also considering that we waited for almost 45 minutes for this (by the way it was us and 5 other customers max), whereas the price we paid was absolutely not appropriate for this food. Hope they fix these issues soon

Decided to take the family out for a meal, we used to go tinsel Town a few years back and I have to say this is not the same place that we used to be very fond of. The burger was bland, my kids got the kids burger and it was just a patty, bread and cheese. No sauce or even lettuce. I got the cheese burger and the meat tasted horrible very bland with no flavour. We were the only ones inside the restaurant and it took about 40 minutes to get our order. Can't even imagine what it would have been like if they had customers. We also order milkshakes and I have to say it was not milkshake, it was more like flavored ice cream, my jaw is hurting from trying to drink. I paid £60 for this horrible experience. I feel robbed.

So I haven’t been here for 6 years but when we did go in it was empty and the interior is still the same and looks so dated. They need to re do their menu and interior. The cookie dough was absolutely terrible, I couldn’t believe they served me that. The staff were nice but as of now I do not recommend eating there until those changes have been made or you’ll be disappointed!

Fui a Tinseltown el 26 de agosto, ¡esperé MÁS DE UNA HORA para 3 comidas! Cada vez que vinieron a nuestra mesa pensando que era nuestra, ¡fue incorrecto! No solo eso, sino que para empeorar las cosas, decidieron ofrecernos batidos gratis por el retraso ANTES de que llegara nuestra comida. Mal servicio deficiente, aparte de uno de los miembros del personal (Andre) que ayudó enormemente a corregir nuestros pedidos varias veces, ya que la cocina seguía preparando el pedido incorrecto a pesar de que el personal les dio el recibo para confirmar el pedido. ! Enaltece a mi hombre Andre, que realmente hizo todo lo posible para sacar nuestra comida.

This place is getting worst and worst. Went in January 2020, I and my family decided we would never go again as the food tasted horrible.. today 17 August we thought we would give it a try again only to realise not only food is horrible but the service is now bad too, limited menu and shake gone smaller too...

The milkshakes were nice, but the decor, hygiene and service were all poor. Some of the light fittings have flickering bulbs and the whole place was not very clean.

I've ordered here a few times but the last time food took ages and then the bun was stale and the burger was cold. Fries were awful - wont be back.

Denis was extremely hospitable, excellent customer service and the team there were amazing!!! Mario was the gentleman who took my order and Christina was the lady who served us all in all 10/10 can’t wait to return!!!!

I loved this place! The food was amazing, me and my friends had a great time! The place was really clean and the staff was nice, specially one of the Managers Denis who was really friendly and he was making sure that everything was ok!! I really recommend this place!

Great experience! I being with my family few times and every time we had a great experience especially if Dennis is there! He is very kind and look after every customer! The food is very good and tasty I can say much better than used to be, I think because of the new chef, she is great! Definitely raccomanded. My girls love this place! Always ask for Dennis!

I only ever use Tinseltown for milkshakes now and even they have got smaller. The food has got worse over the last few years and now unfortunately I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Every time I visit this place the staff make you feel like your a nuisance for given them your custom!

Ordered online, didn’t have what I had ordered and wasn’t able to do a simple swap. The food looked nothing like any pictures seen anywhere and was just a slab of bread basically with not enough sauce on the philly. The onion rings were vile and soggy. 80% of the £30 order went in the bin!

We’ve lived in the area for a long time and it bothers me because Tinseltown used to thrive - used to have great customer service, quick food prep times and the food used to taste nice too! The key words to highlight are USED TO!! (I do hope management read this to see that they are in desperate need of change in staff as I will explain later on) Twice this week we have gone when it has been quite and all we wanted were small orders. The first trip we ordered a waffle and cheesy fries. The waffle was undercooked and luckily we had the girl who we know there who does care about us on that day but it took a while for us to have any service as all staff were running a-mock causing havoc and neglecting the few guests they had dining that night. The second trip was just yesterday and again there were very very few tables. 3 to be exact and 4 if you are including us as a party of two. My sister and I often come here when in London because we have good memories here. They’re all gone now. We came in asked to be seated. Were given seats in what is normally the waiting area for take out. It took 20 minutes until we got any menus - it was very quiet so this was confusion. We were ready to order in 5. Order was taken and then we began on our ridiculous wait. We were asked about 20 minutes in if we were delivery or eat in by this woman. I explained we had already ordered and were sitting in. She kept giving us menus. I explained 5 times and she did not understand which was helpful. - I have a clear English accent so I know it’s not me. She then moved us to the other seats which was fine. We did order diet cokes and it took 30 minutes until they arrived and that was because we had to order again as the waiter we initially had did not remember them. I struggle to understand how that’s possible considering we were the only table ordering at the time as all others were eating. We then waited overall 1 hour for food after ordering already so that’s 1 hour 20 minutes until i asked where it was. No one seemed to understand. It got frustrating too because this same woman kept giving us menus. I then asked a waiter who was shoved in front of us as the others had no clue and he said he’d check after us asking where it was and explaining the situation. Finally !! He came back and the kitchen said it was going to be prepared ASAP. 20 minutes later we had food, albeit with some hairs, lukewarm and not very yummy. We had cheesy bacon fries and a cheesy dog. For the food to take that long to be made is atrocious. We had initially been willing to wAlk out and just pay for our drinks but my sister was starving and she was looking forward to it. Now as a part time teenage job i work in customer service and with food through my cinema job and I know for a fact hot dogs take no more than 10 minutes to prep and cook OVERALL. Fries take 4-6 minutes maximum in an average fryer or 2/3 in a quicker one so to wait that long for food that wasn’t even a good standard was a joke. The cheesy dog was an embarrassment and my poor sister did not enjoy it at all but I could see her forcing herself to try and eat it because she was scared to ask for something else since many waiters did not understand or were rolling their eyes and huffing and puffing. I gave her my fries and she was happier with that especially since that plate did not have a hair like what we saw in her Cajun sauce pot on her cheesy dog. While my sister was eating the fries I ordered a molten cake and what a palace that was. I asked for a molten chocolate cake as it is named on the menu. I had the woman point and ask what it was and overall she had no idea about the menu. She then had two other waiters come and help. Finally one understood and ordered. She then kept coming over asking if we wanted ice cream with it. I explained it came with ice cream and we were happy with that single pot. She then kept asking us to order some and we refused as we know how the dish comes. The dish then came and she kept going to get more ice cream which we didn’t want. Luckily a waiter who knew what he was doing just took charge of this situation after I asked him to explain to her. I have never dealt with such stupidity. Even a new start cannot be this thick I’m sorry. I then asked for the bill mid dessert. She did not understand what a bill was. A bill. How could you possibly not know. So then I said can I pay now. And she did not understand either. Are you kidding. I then had to go up and ask one of the boys at the counter if I could pay. I had one boy have to show her how to use the card machine which was fine we all learn somewhere but when I’ve already also said I can’t use contactless on my card as it doesn’t have it, I don’t expect my card to be thrown about as if it did. I already explained, IT DOESNT. On top of all this where was the manager to be found ?! At a table on his phone with other diners. Shocking. I work at the odeon and myself and my colleagues provide much better customer service, better cleanliness and better produce than this. Also even as a new start I have never asked the same stupid questions that many times. And the floor manager that night was utterly ridiculous. Overall the staff let this place down to the next level. Decor is horrific too but that is less in need of change than its staff. If you hire staff who don’t care what’s the point. Sack them and the can go else where because they’re a waste of money. Customer service should never be this poor and neither should hygiene. This place deserves minus stars and should just scrap everything and start fresh. Ruined it for us regulars and will never be back after this time. Absolute last straw.

. . . Los muebles necesitan urgentemente una reforma. Son un establecimiento ocupado, por lo que supongo que no debería haber escasez de efectivo para lograrlo. Gran parte está rasgada, rota y sucia. Se necesita hacer algo pronto o la gente se cansará de ello. Los clientes notan estas cosas.La comida era excelente, era agradable tener una selección de carnes a la parrilla, muy poco frecuente en la mayoría de los restaurantes de comida rápida si no eres de Tinseltown o Nando. Pero la estética del lugar me hizo sentir que estoy comiendo en un negocio con dificultades. La decoración tiene un efecto en el sabor.

Tinseltown has proven that it is a uniquely fantastic restaurant with fantastic food & service. Ricky (the manager) and Mohamed (our server) were just great. A comfortable environment makes all the difference. Great food & milkshakes were just a plus!

Had amazing wings and onion rings i’ve ever had!! Although the service was very slow and the waitress was rude..we really enjoyed our food and had a great evening with my friend! Will definitely come back(maybe a different branch) 🤗

Been coming to this place since I was 16 and it’s still the same! Good service and great food! Definitely recommend for families and friends. I go alone but I still enjoy it as the staff are so welcoming!

As I travel around the world, I like to visit 'American Diners' to see what they have done to or for the classics. Had the cheese-steak sandwich, Philly style it was not, and it was 4 out of 10 stars ok. All the right stuff was there and even the cheese sauce was acceptable, but no where near properly prepared which is what makes all the difference. The fries were actually good. As the price is decent, it is what it is and average compared to other American style diners not actually in America.

Nos trataron a comer hoy y que decidimos ir allí. La comida estaba buena y era bistec phillycheese sabroso. Tenía un enfriador de sandía y también fue bueno. Tuve un buen tiempo allí. Lo que tengo que decir es que no vayas allí si su prisa porque no tienen personal, pero el que estaba allí era muy agradable. Sin duda volvería de nuevo.

Order for steak for 5 of us . The taste is delicious with large portion . Love this restaurant and the waiter/waiteress very friendly . They help us to choose the best menu which is really the best . Recommend this restaurant and to add on th list , it's halal !

Je recommande ce restaurant qui propose de la viande halal pour son rapport qualité prix ainsi que la gentillesse du serveur. Les burger sont bon, environ 7-8£ pour un double steack et 6£ pour un burger simple. Avec il est servi une salade ou une portion de frites. En dessert il y a d’excellent milk-shake à 5£. Pour 3 menu burger et 2 milkshakes nous avons payé 40£. Franchement allez y !

We were there this Tue. A big mistake. Not sure how much they pay this staff. None of them like to work. When I went to order, they looked as if I had inconvenienced them and interrupted their talk. I order a few beef burgers and milkshake. Took ages to come. Beef burger not edible at all. Milkshakes were OK. The lighting awful. Dark and depressing. Lots of burger places in London. Shame that we ended up there without knowing about their food quality and awful service.

I’ve eaten in many restaurants and whilst some haven’t had good food the service has often made up for it. This restaurant was horrific. The waitresses family were on the table next to us and she spent most of her time attending to them and seemed very uninterested. Then the gentleman with a beard who was serving us was without a shadow of a doubt the rudest individual I’ve ever met. Avoid this place at all costs. The owner should be very disappointed that they run an establishment like this.

This is the branch in Westbourne Grove London. Service non existent at best & extremely rude staff at worst. Food disgusting , long wait ( place was almost empty ) and, when it arrived , was cold !!! NEVER AGAIN

Me encanta venir aquí en parrilla martes y miércoles, como ala tienen una oferta especial de carne (martes) y grandes alas de pollo (los miércoles), con un lado y un batido por un precio estupendo. Todos los batidos son increíbles! Y las alas cajún mi favorito.

After a meal at a nearby restaurant , I decided to quickly pop in for a Milkshake on the way to the station, I went for a Ferrero Rocher Milkshake, which was really nice, although was made from the soft scoop machine ice cream you find in MacDonald’s rather than actual scoops of real ice cream. But apart from that disappointment, it wasn’t a bad milkshake.

Whenever you come and visit this restaurant, do remember to try the vip milkshake. Its really good. Other than that they do offer good price if you come on certain day to have meal. So, follow their FB to check whats on offer for the day. I have no experience with rude staff as far as I dine there- thankfully. The price is good for the meal you have.

We got in there for about 1800 and downstairs was crowded. So we were asked to wait, which we did for about ten minutes. I then started to get up and out when they came over and led us upstairs which was completely empty. Why they didn't do this straight away I don't know. I guess it was too much bother to serve food upstairs. I thought the food was fair. I wasn't expecting great things but the food when it arrived was okay. The shakes were nice. The staff a little surly bordering on indifferent. But it was a treat for the boys so I let it pass. On reflection we should have bailed and tried any of the hundred or so other restaurants in the imediate area. Not again but okay for what it is aside from the staff issue.

My friend was in here on Saturday to order lunch and a takeaway milkshake and the staff were so rude and had absolutely no interest in serving customers as they were stood round chatting in there own language. She waited 20 mins for a wrap when eventually it was brought out to her without the milkshake a rude young women came up to the table and asked her why she was still sitting there. The next day I placed an order myself through Deliveroo and when it arrived the onion rings and chips were both rock hard and inedible and definitely hadn't been cooked recent to me ordering the wrap that I ordered however was actually ok but in the early hours of this morning I woke up vomiting with severe stomach cramps and have actually had to take the day off work with food poisoning. Do not waste your money in this place. The food is rubbish along with the staff and atmosphere.

I went to the restaurant yesterday evening with my friends and I've never experienced such horrible service! The waiter was extremely rude, dismissive and acted like we were a nuisance. First, we nicely asked the waiter to put some cheese on top of the fries since that is what we originally asked for and he made out like we were lying. Secondly, I wanted a medium cooked steak and when i received it, it was completely red inside and bleeding! I asked the waiter to take it back and cook it more, once again he responded rudely. Overall, the food was poor and quite overpriced for such crap quality. They need to hire new staff who actually knows how to provide a good service and make their customers feel welcomed. The general vibe of the place is very depressing and the toilets were in a disgusting state!

The worst burger I've ever had. Overpriced as well. Ordered it via Deliveroo without checking reviews. What a mistake.

We had dinner nearby and wanted dessert and coffees, and stumbled across this place. Service was average, waitress was a little dismissive and rude but I didn't really go in expecting to be treated like royalty! When we went in they'd re-painted all the walls on that day and the whole place stank of fumes which was a little off-putting. To be fair, though, I had a milkshake which was REALLY good! So-so place, nothing special.

I wished i checked the review before going there. Staff non friendly at all, they never answered a query via e-mail, on the phone they were not helpful..once in the restaurant they never smiled and i saw them arguing with each other. The steak was small, dry and has seen better days. the fries were nothing special. I went there only because i had a nice memory of that place of few years before..they really lowered their standard and i won't come back.

Good food, good service and clean restaurant. The salad I had was full of chicken and varied salad items. The Fries were good too !!! And the dessert enjoyed by others were delicious.

1st incident: went to this branch around october for there to be no soap in the toilets. staff stated they dont have it. so what the hel do these people who actually handle our food with use?!2nd incident: went 4 months later with a friend to find they have not brought soap since. on top of that girl messed up our order completely - didnt ask how the steak should even be & confused 8 wings with 3. ask to speak to manager who was taking selfies with a table (assuming she knew them) and forcefully went WELL WHAT DO YOU WANT THEN and eye rolled. 3rd incident: went with work lot and alas, no hand soap was to be seen. consensus: staff is always rude and theres a lot of communication problems, meat is bland but this is a v basic american diner so i do not really expect much for entry level prices

Small cafe, American-ish style, attractive menu, milkshakes nice, food not so nice, noticeably cheap quality, luke warm, chewy chips, iced tap water was warm, service okay, but overall felt that it was not good value for money and would not return.

We went by Tinseltown for a quick dinner before we headed to the shopping centers. The place is decorated to look a bit like an American Diner, and its quite cosy to be there, by the atmosphere is a bit busy. The menu contains several different burgers, mostly made of beef and chicken filet, as well as several tasty startes you can enjoy together as a dinner. We ordered double chicken burgers, which were good, but maybe at bit ordinary as well. Tinseltown also offers a great selection of milkshakes and sundaes, which I can recommend. They are huge and tasty.

Been a regular of this diner for the past few years. I've been to the ones on Westbourne Grove and Great Portland Street.You might have to wait 5-10 minutes for a table during peak hours but I can assure you it's going to be worth the wait.Pick your mains and choose a side and sauce. Extras are charged a minimum.Lamb chop costs less than £12 if I recall correctly. Burgers are so juicy and delicious.The best points of this diner: halal meat, cheap, great food.The downside: if there's a birthday party, they crank up the music a bit too loud.So it's not a place for a serious business meetings. Just a place where you should go if you're looking for great American diner food!

Went there during the fasting month to break my fast. The waiters were really friendly. Gave a few lollipops to my friend's child. The food served were good although they took some time. The oreo milkshake was the best. The prices were reasonable, some choices can be quite pricey. They do not accept seat reservations.

Think an old British Rail 80's Burger would top the food here, worst Burger (gristle central) I've ever had combined with Chips than seen better days. I only came here because my last burger at Gourmet Burger was so poor, I should have read the TA reviews!

A friend and I went there to break fast, we got there at 850pm and requested we get our food for 920pm (Iftar time) the very polite and helpful lady said 'sure no problem!' Within 10mins our starter arrived, we told the guy that we had requested to the lady that we would like it for Iftar time, he took it back.Around 915 they gave us milk and dates which was a nice touch and sharp 920pm our starters were there, good right? Not when it's the same starter they took reheated and gave back!!Nachos - overdone with reheated rubbery cheese.Chips - dried upGarlic bread - ok but could tell was heatedDo we sent the nachos back and they re did them.Now for the mains.....I have an allergy to onions, so had requested no onions in my Donn Burger, the burger came, yes you guessed right with onions and a small scribbled up piece of bacon.Sent it back once again, same guy that was sloppy and lacked customer service skills.So while my friend tucked into her meal I was left waiting, by the time it arrived she was done.Could it get any worse ??Hmmmm.....Burger baps - so dry and cheap they fell apart as you picked it up.So soo disappointing as when they first started I used to visit regularly, now just feels ingredients have cheapened and customer service is no longer a priority, which was a shame as in the past staff always had a spring in their step with a smile.Would I go back? When the F&B scene in London is as competitive as it is, Tinseltown doesn't meet the mark. The food is decent and not drastically disappointing, but it's average at best. When at the same price, one could go down the street to Byron perhaps for much better burgers, there is no compelling reason to visit Tinseltown. The decor tries very hard to feel like a fun diner, but with so many celebrity pictures on the wall, you almost feel overwhelmed by Kim Kardashian staring down at you while you have a go a simple burger.The milkshakes are fun, and they aren't short of flavours, but that being said, is that enough to get me to come back? Probably not.

Nach Ankunft in London und Bezug des Hotels wollten wir noch zu Abend essen und wählten das Tinseltown aus.Das Ambiente lädt bedingt zum Verweilen ein, etwas zu viel Plastik und unbedingt auf American Diner gemacht. Die Bedienungen sind vielzählig, dich recht langsam und mittelfreundlich. Die Essen (ChickenSalad, Wings Texan BBQ) waren geschmacklich doch recht öde, der Salat übersichtlich belegt und die Wings trieften von der geschmacklich interessanten BBQ-Sauce).Für´s schnelle Essen reichts.

went to this place to try the steak it's a nice small place nice and clean went there before for the burgers which was good the steak was ok for the price and area i had the mushroom sauce over all the streak was ok but was expecting it to be better like how the burgers were. it's an ok place this time the waiter needed to be more professional I would still go back there

The peanut butter milkshake was delicious I must say first and foremost. The burger was good not great. The service was awful. Took my order after a short wait but took forever to bring me my check. They more concerned with eating food, talking to each other, etc. I never had to wait so long to check out ever before. Wouldn't go back to dine in

식사를 하러 간게 아니라 디저트로 밀크쉐이크만 먹으러 갔었네요. 페레로 로쉐맛을 시켰는데 초코렛 3개랑 소프트 아이스크림을 바로 갈아주길래 완전 통크다 싶었구요. 4파운드정도의 가격이었는데 양도 많고 추천!

Seriously, how bad can service be? Came to make a take away the first the guy at the till said to me was "eh?" - as if I had wondered in here by accident. After making an order he said it would take 10 minutes. Which was fine. So I sat down on the many empty seats nearby. Then the guy came to chase me off the seat saying its for siting in customers only! Like, seriously - in a half empty restaurant? I'd understand if it was busy? When I asked him where am I supposed to sit and wait for 10 minutes he just pointed me to a dusty ledge near the entrance. I've always liked the food here mainly because it's halal. But the owners need to seriously look into basic customer service etiquette. At least great your customer with a friendly face. We are here to pay you money!

Ordered for collection, first they got my order wrong then gave me burnt BBQ wings, it was awful. Currently pregnant and was craving some BBQ wings, drove down to get them just to get home extremely disappointed. Had to throw them in the bin.

This was the second time my work friends and I had gone here and again the Coke is flat and the service is bad. We were in a group of 6 and when we went to pay were told we either all pay by card or all pay by cash. Burgers were nice.

Nothing really great about the food. Very tacky food joint. Service is poor. Not bad food for quick fast food.

We visited Tinseltown thinking it would be like the one in Farringdon but we were wrong! To begin with we had a reservation which staff couldnt find. We were then told to wait while they looked for it but they actually continued doing other things until our group grew bigger and we were all stood by the entrance so they had to address it. We were seated in a VIP area which was actually quite small. We asked for the air conditioning to be switched on as it was so hot. Anyway that had to be turned off after a few mins as it smelt really bad. We were then seated in a different area as we needed more space. Staff were not really attentive and seemed like they couldnt really be bothered. I understand it was a weekend and they were busy but basic customer services should never be overlooked.The food was ok, tasted ok, cooked ok, and arrived in good time but very much doubt I will go back again.

If you're looking for a sumptuous Halal Burger with Bacon at a reasonable price this is the place for you! The Nachos to share are a great starter along with the Barbecue buffalo wings. For the main dish 'The DON' is a must offered in a single or a double patty version topped with cheddar cheese and bacon with a side of Garlic Mayo sauce. To top it all the Strawberry Shake is divine. Ambience needs a little improvement however the food makes up for it.

The menu looked nice and was reasonably priced. When we went inside the restaurant had the feel of a fast food outlet. The staff were not friendly or attentive throughout. I ordered the chicken salad which had the potential to be very nice but it was drowned in dressing which ruined it. My partner had the BBQ burger and fries which was very nice for the price.The ladies toilets needs improvements. The toilet roll was just on the floor with no holder and the sanitary bin was overflowing.Overall the food was nice and at very good prices but the restaurant decor, staff and excessive dressing on the salad let the place down. I do not recommmend it.

I visited this place with a group of friends for a celebration meal. The decor of the place is a bit naff, it's like a cheap TGIs but without the uplifting atmosphere.The food is okay, I liked the sharing starter platter, mains were average and I had a banana split for dessert which was literally a banana with whipped cream on top... And nothing else!Staff hate their jobs, either watching the TV, chatting and occasionally visiting the tables. We even witnessed a waitress and waiter have a domestic!!! All in all I would avoid this place, just go to TGIs as the food is the same quality but the atmosphere and staff make it a nice experience. I definitely won't be returning to any Tinseltown after this visit!

Went to this place as a last resort and wished we hadn't bothered. The food was greasy and over cooked , the staff were unfriendly. The American milk shake we ordered can only be described as gross. Far to thick and syrupy with more whipped cream added for no apparent reason.

I visited Tinseltown during my visit to London in month of Ramadan, I was craving for Halal steaks roaming around my hotel in Hyde Park area and then I found this, The place was full of people mostly those looking to break their fast, I and my fiance ordered Wings and Steaks with signature shakes, the staff was a bit disjointed, sort of uninterested but not rude as some reviewers have said.Anyways the food came, If its Halal + steak issue, I would definitely state it served the purpose but on basis of taste, It was better than average at most, the wings were good but a bit under-cooked, but the most disappointing thing was their shakes which were non creamy and strictly average. I won't say we didn't enjoy, we did but weren't over whelmed, If you are looking for Halal American food, its good and atmospheric place, if your preferences is just taste, there are better around.

I went here with my wife on a nice Sunday afternoon. I've walked past it many times in the past, however decided to visit this particular day. It was relatively busy, we were seated ASAP. The staff were all friendly and polite. I had a chicken burger with a spicy bean salsa. My wife had a 1/4 pounder with salad. The food was prompt and really tasty. We both enjoyed the food. We had tap water, however they do lots of shakes and burgers, steaks etc. We would definitely go back if in the area. I've been to the st Johns St branch many years back, this experience was much better.

We just had the milkshakes. They are 4.99GBP but they are pretty much as advertised - delicious, topped with whipping cream and treats. The service was fast and friendly.

After the excesses of spicy Eid food we decided that American food was the antidote. How wrong where we.. So after driving 45mins and spent 15mins running around parking on a Sunday evening. We walked out to the door of tinsel town the doorman said wait outside on the sidewalk if you want to eat in..I said hang on we travelled an hour to get here from Windsor. So he let us wait just inside the restaurant and soon after a waiter came to take us all up three fights of stairs to our seats. Only for us to walk down the same stairs for the toilets. We ordered the food and drinks. The malt milkshakes drinks arrived homemade style very average very little malt and then waited a long time for our main-courses..burgers were fast food food cafe style average nothing you couldn't get from your local high street chippy or cafe..so the moral of this story is seek out Red Iron burger joint in Uxbridge for a REAL fresh burger experience and don't brother to waste your time or money with this over hyped and over priced placed..period!

Wednesday eve at 8pm. Table for 4 not a problem. Order taken and in 10 mins food and shakes were there. The waitress remembered who ordered what. I don't see that every often now. Well done. Keep it up and you'll have me as a customer.

Came here to celebrate my sons birthday with a group of 20 adults and children, staff were very rude, and were not at all helpful. Asked them to serve the kids first and they didn't, alot of food sent back as it was cold and inedible.I would absolutely not recommend this restaurant to spend your money in this restaurant.

Was busy when we got there. We didn't book so took a while getting seated for 3 people. Once seated we made our order which were desserts only has we had already eaten in another establishment. The desserts were average in taste and took an age to arrive.

I would not recommend this place to anyone, and would never return. Firstly we were quite rushed to order by one waitress (who was clearly new at the job and inexperienced), who came over to us twice when we were clearly still deciding what to order. Secondly, I wanted to order onion rings as a side, and she argued with me and said that you could only get onion rings as a starter. I decided to actually read out the menu to her and say no it says here onion rings cost 2.20 as an extra side! Plus a bit of initiative could've been used here, who would have onion rings as a starter? Or she could've asked someone and let us know they would be coming! Anyway, the food came. It was clearly all microwaved, the burger was rubbish, the onion rings had the oddest kind of batter on them i had ever seen, and it just wasn't that great of a meal. To add to the "great" food we were having the service was terrible. The waiters/waitresses and even the manager were standing around a lot of the time and didn't keep an eye on people who wanted something in the restaurant or anything. The manager was actually sitting on the stack of baby chairs by the stairs. One waiter even started shouting in his language across the restaurant (because a buggy was put in front of the door he was coming out of) fair enough it was dangerous and he couldn't get out, but to shout across the restaurant was really unprofessional! The decor was also foul and tacky. So all in all I would not go back here and I would seriously train the staff to a better standard, because they were unprofessional and clearly didn't care...

The service is absolutely terrible. The waitress was very impolite, moody and lacked basic communication skills. Part of our order was wrong, when we informed the waitress about this error she moaned and rolled her eyes - a true reflection of the competence level of the staff as a whole! Very disappointing, it's such a shame as the food tastes fairly decent and the interior design is fun, but the overall experience is horrendous.

Not impressed with Tinseltown.......have heard so much hype about it,finally went for my first time with the fam-a-lam & got bad service from the start,as soon as i opened the door. Part of our order delayed due to them forgetting to put on their system & they got order wrong,as my youngest daughter had asked for a plain classic chicken burger & intead got it covered in sauce. Bad table service,firstly not waiting when asked,who had ordered what,just placely on the table. There was 5 of us & we Only got 3 napkins,No tomato ketchup brought to us,when we had asked for it. The fries were cold within 30 seconds of arrival. No soft drinks,as machine was broke & we were not advised,when we entered the restaurant. Asked for our bill,waited 15 minutes,to then ask another waitress for it again. Asked if paying by card,which i replied,no by cash,then to have to wait another 10 minutes,to pay my bill as the waitress disappeared after asking the question. Waitress then asks do we want our change............no service charge included! Will not be visiting again,Will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I live nearby and decide to try this place as a pit stop here on way to cinema. The shakes and the service were only saving grace of this place. The food looked like re-heated cheap ingredients from the supermarket at best. The fries stunk of 5 day old oil. Despite how much hate McD, it would have been an better option.

Seems other reviewers had issues with service but we ate here a few times in the space of a week and had decent service overall with pretty good burgers and very nice milkshakes

Sooo disappointed !!No greeting on way in- when finally acknowledged the waitress speaks as quiet as a mouse.Waited for ages for our order to be taken had to wave to get attention of server.When order arrives - no napkins or cutlery, no sauces.Haven't even finished starter main comes - dry cold burger.No customer service skills clearly need to be retrained! Waste of money & time.. Don't bother write a review on website as no one gets back to you! Worst dining experience!!!!

My daughter and her friends attended the Bayswater branch, for a birthday party on the 28th Mar. Their waitress was ok and they were generally happy with the food.However when the bill arrived, this is where the problems started. The group asked for separate bills, the staff declined abruptly. When the payment was submitted, my daughter and another were short changed. These are teenagers not working adults. Short changing is wrong, regardless but really poor when inflicted on kids. The manager was aggressive in his approach and grossly unhelpful. His lack of communication skills emphasised his poor managerial skills.He refused to give his name. Obviously aware he was in the wrong. Not that it matters as I'm sure there is a clocking in system. In addition to the tattoo on his right arm, very eye catching the shades of red and black.Tinseltown by allowing this man to manage one of your restaurants, your reputation will be ruined.DISGUSTING!!!!!

Nice the atmosphere, with some cool music playing along.The food was really good, especially the beef burger that I had.Absolutely disappointed about the service: the waiting staff seemed to be really unhappy about the inconvenient of customers.

By far the most overrated myth ever created by a mankind. Overpriced and not worth the time effort. What makes them overhyped (I think) is the fact that their admirers seem to be enjoying the idea of mixing a dogmatic range of chocolates and syrups in one milk shake.

Firstly, given we are in London, which is the capital city of England it would be good if at least one member of staff spoke in English. One waiter even approached us saying didn't speak English And still wanted to take our order - we politely rejected his offer.The food is ok, but DONT ORDER A BURGER.There were 4 of us eating, however staff seemed to think the fourth one of us was happy eating his meal after we had all finished, after being reminded 3 times in the space of 20 minutes that they had forgotten one of the main courses.On top of all of this they expected us to pay the bill!!Outrageous.Overall: service terrible, staff are like zombies, food below average and the guys who run the place can't speak English.We won't be returning and I don't recommend anyone else visit, even if they are doing a free giveaway.

Service was good, atmosphere was nice and so was the food. 2 meals plus 2 drinks came to £23 a bit pricey but the meal was lovely and service was good too. No complaints

Love this.. Great tasty food at a good price and with deliciousss desserts!!!! I love the chocolate A list smoothie!!! And anything with their barbecue sauce is sooooo nice!! I love it

I went with my siblings for dinner. Upon entering the restaurant, the customer sales representative told us in an impolite gesture to shut the door behind us and follow her. I could not help noticing her male colleague smirk at her tone. The service was terrible and the staff showed no enthusiasm and poor customer service skills. It was my first visit and it shall be the last.

We were excited to go here for the hala burgers (all served here is halal). When we walked in, the place was not too crowded. Great! So we were hoping that it will be quick. The girl taking order seems disinterested and we had to repeat our orders a number of times. So we waited for our burger and milkshake for takeaway. It took quite a while and seeing the place is not even full, I'm wondering how long it would take if it is full. When our order is ready, they forgot our milkshake, so again we had to wait. When we left, we found out that they got our orders wrong. How nice! The burger was ok, maybe a bit better than McDonalds and more choices. The only thing I'll rave about is the milkshake. We had the Ambassador. It was nice, creamy, yummy. I am so happy I decided to order it despite the freezing cold because it was really delicious. I really hope they will improve their service, though.

Visited this place yesterday (Sunday 4th January 2015) with my boyfriend... We live in North London and drove down to Westfield for dinner at Busaba Eathai (which is FANTASTIC!) and decided we wanted a cheeky waffle as a desert and thought to visit Tinseltown as it was nearby. I have nothing bad to say about the waffle... We both had a Nutella and Banana waffle, was quite tasty to be fair. Although the place itself isn't very clean... It could do with a through sweep!!! The people that work there are slightly slow, the guy that served us smelt of body odor, one woman that worked there kept checking her phone every now and again when she had nothing to do... Not very professional. The atmosphere was terrible, with young teens talking loudly... I've been to 2 other Tinseltown's and this one is by far is the worst I've been to. Will not be revisiting.

I LOVE every bit of tinsel town. So sick of lamp kebab, I want beef! Excellent presentation, I could come almost everyday.

Nice food. We had chilli dogs and don burger. Portions are huge. Cheesy fries was enough to be a main rather than starter. Reasonable prices. Kids loved it.

Great shakes, tasty food at a slight price. However compare it with other American places and it's around average. Drinks are unique to the place !

This was one of our regular university hangout spots. Milkshakes and food always of high quality. I returned after many years to find not much had changed. Nice ambience, bust as always and always leaving satisfied. A good overall place to go and eat, one of the better tinseltowns.

The food is better than average, fries were tasty. Garlic dip was good too. Chocolate milkshake hadn't been mixed properly, chocolate powder lumps in the middle. The staff were not the most welcoming. I had to ask for the lunchtime menu despite our visit being at 1pm. When I asked if they offered skimmed milk, soya milk or only full fat milk in their milkshakes I got a blank look. The staff were grouped together behind the counter talking - no work just talking, one was particularly loud and kept squealing for no apparent reason. Seemed as though the staff were hanging about doing very very little - certainly not using their ample free time to blend milkshakes properly!! Not a good impression, made us want to finish our meal rapidly & leave. A delivery man arrived to deliver cooking oil, the staff were rude and unhelpful towards him. The food was above average and reasonably priced - £10 for a decent bacon burger, fries, dip & milkshake. The burger had a good quantity and good quality cheese and burger sauce. I would go back for takeaway as the food was tasty - staff need to be addressed.
