The food quality has declined compared to a few years ago. I ordered the Tom Yum soup, which was previously my favorite dish here, but it seemed like I was served the last bits from the pot. It was difficult to eat and didn't taste fresh.

Typical very Westernized "Thai" food for people who have never had actual Thai in their lives. Mostly just noodles in heaps of salty soy sauce with that cheap bright red sweet chilli sauce slathered over everything. Noodles were pretty terrible, and resembled a cheap British-Chinese takeaway rather than any Thai food I've ever had, although they are presented nicely. The pork belly was ridiculously served. Huge hunks of very hard, fried-to-death pork with no knife to cut it! Like... um. It was allegedly a soup or curry, so you're not supposed to use your hands, but they give you a spoon and fork for large pieces of tough pork? Odd. The eggs were good enough. I mean, they weren't like any son-in-law eggs I've seen, and again, it was that supermarket sweet chilli jam and nothing else. But they were nicely cooked. The server was great. Super friendly and helpful. Too bad the food isn't much and the ambience is like a canteen. It's probably good for British uni students though, which I assume is who they cater to.

Saw this place on Youtube…also, as we were craving for Asian food, we had decided to give it a try. Being from Asia and also aware that the (Asian) food, in Europe, is generally on the saltish side, we had asked our waitress if they could go easy on the salt. The answer was a no…saying that the paste, for the tomyam, was “already mixed”. Errrr….how about the rest of the food? Like the beef salad and stir-fried kway teow? If everything was pre-mixed, we might as well buy off the supermarket! The food came…it was salty. I mean, SALTY. We had to add the table water to the tomyam…and also ordered a bowl of white Jasmine rice to go with everything. Apart from the salt situation, I wouldn’t say that this is authentic Thai food. Definitely been “westernized” to suit the local palate. The good review, from the YouTuber, needs to be handled with a pinch of salt.

Hipster Thai restaurant. Not a plate in sight. [August 2024] Visited on a Fringe weekend. Queuing outside as normal - but were seated within 5 minutes of presenting ourselves. Menu is largely unchanged, but the prices have had an inflationary bump. Food is superb each and every time we visit. Card is also not accepted, where previously it was cash-only. This is almost a go-to venue for all your thai-related food requirements.

Blown away. I have been recently so disappointed in several Edinburgh eateries, that it was a wonderful surprise to be delighted to find a place that fully deserves its reputation. My one suggestion would be that protein choice could apply to more dishes, as I don't eat meat. It did limit the menu a bit for me. My friend and I were with 2 children, so we kept the dishes mild so greedy mouths could try different things. I had Pad Thai, it was great. My fiend had a unassuming simple dish called Massaman Gai with meat, potatoes, and onions (kid friendly), oh my word the sauce was to die for. I will be back just to have it in my life once again. The Roti's were delicious and came with a fab dipping sauce. All dishes were reasonably priced and generous portions. I can't wait to return, I know what I will be ordering. All for me.

Did not have an enjoyable experience here. We’ve eaten here plenty times before and it’s been great, but tonight was awful. Our order was taken when we sat down. After 30 minutes of sitting we found out that our order had not went through, so it had to be retaken. Bottled drinks hadn’t been brought to our table either. We had a Fringe show to catch so we had no time for delays. Finally got our food and one of our orders were wrong. Hardly got an apology from one of the waitresses. When the bill was brought, it was a full bill. I mentioned that we had waited 40 minutes or more for food and that one of the orders were wrong. The waitress just laughed as she walked away, like what I mentioned was not fair. (Think they had an American/Canadian accent). Don’t think the food/service merited us paying full price and didn’t like the fact I was laughed at. Really disappointed as we have eaten here a lot with no issues.

I don’t think this is truly a Thai chain. We ordered the Ped Nam Peung and Seabass Maeklong. The Seabass was quite decent and the abundance of herbs and ingredients gave the required fragrance. However, it is quite a westernised version (there’s lettuce beneath the fish, and the sauce isn’t what you expect from a Thai food). The duck was frankly quite bad. It was dry, and while the seasoning had flavour, it did not seep into the duck sufficiently. It is also unfortunate that 1 or 2 pieces were overcooked too. One of the more bizarre aspect is that you are given your own jug and have to fill up from the tap yourselves. Furthermore, our table wasn’t wiped before we were seated, so there were roti flakes on the table. Honestly, if you order the other dishes, it probably should be good. The neighbouring table ordered fried chicken with jasmine rice which actually looks delicious.

Good food , good price, hated the fact some food came in cardboard boxes which made it look unappealing and rather messy looking like it had been chucked in, that's my only negative. 11/08/24 another day with more delicious food and competative prices The food pic where the FiOS is in the cardboard box was the dish that was rather unpleasant to taste Update 6th February 2023 6/2/23 lovely red beef curry today and lovely coconut rice. Order a chicken side dish, hated it but the curry was devine, chicken side dish can't remember the name tasted like you touched perfume with your hand then out your fingers in your mouth, and although I don't have a nut allergy as they asked as they put the food dow, they only asked as they dropped peanuts from my mates dish into mine, told me they had picked it out, well thank f*** I don't have a nut allergy as there was three more peanuts in my curry "Sort the kitchen out!"

We ordered a pad see ew and tofu j. The images are attached below. Sadly both are flavourless. What was worse is that the huge pieces of broccoli in the pad see ew weren't cooked. These took up 1/4 of the box and aren't edible. The quantity for the price is bad, and when the food tastes so poor, makes it worse. Pad see ew is supposed to be spicy and have flavour, this one just tasted oily. Don't be misled by the sweet red chillies in the image. They did nothing to the food :( The tofu j were beancurd which tasted like pockets of oil, with again no seasoning As a vegetarian, with no disrespect, i can help the chef make this food taste much better. A place for those who love sour taste!🙌🏼 The portion of pad Thai was quite big, if you are a small eater definitely share with someone! The beef inside was quite tough and rubbery, but seasoned properly. Egg was a bonus for the dish since the complex smoky flavor coming from the frying heat was very appetizing 👍 Tom kha gai was very sour for ppl who don’t eat sour stuffs in daily life, but just great for me as a big “sourness in savory food” fan. 🍋 the chicken breast slices were again very dry and tough, and there were not a lot of veg. The flavorful soup base was the point between all components. Fried tofu was drizzled with very sweet chili sauce (which is not spicy at all) me personally don’t like sweet chili sauce so I would only give this dish a 2 out of 5. Peanut chunks were sprinkled over the tofu for extra crunchiness which was good. Overall the service was nice and the atmosphere was great. I would order Pad Thai again but not other dishes I’ve got today.

Ordered the Mee Gratiam with beef (extra 1.2 pounds) and Goong Frong Beer, which was served quickly. The Mee Gratiam had loads of beef, pok choi and onions. The fried prawns were very crispy and topped with a Thai sweet and chili sauce. The meat is overcooked way too much (yes I tried beef, pork and chicken dishes, they are all extremely overcooked). The meat isn’t cleaned and prepared properly, as in there is still a strong animal smell if you know what I mean. Had one of the soup noodles, the broth is bad, at least I didn’t like how it taste, very sour, does not pair well with the dish entirely. The service was okay, I can tell the staff are doing their best, but front of house is understaffed.

Arrived as a party of four, seated almost immediately as we got through the door. The drinks order was taken and delivered promptly by smiling attentive staff. It was our first time visiting this establishment and it did not disappoint! Our order was cooked to perfection and again, delivered without delay. No fault could be found but the biggest shock was the bill - all four main meals, with various accompaniments and drinks came in at less than £70. Phenomenal! If ever you’re in Edinburgh, craving Asian/Thai food, DO NOT pass up the opportunity of visiting this restaurant.

Went for a quick lunch after class. Quick service and delicious food. I got one of the small boxes and a cup of coconut rice and it was the perfect size.

Tasty and good portion sizes. It's stools not chairs being the only downside.

Really weird “thai” food….Noodle dishes are all served in take-away containers when dining in for some reason
