Long waiting for delivery orders

Excellent food from Thai Lemongrass, although I was surprised that the chicken breast dish still had skin on.

Large portions of food, food was tasty and great. Loved it. Sticky rice was amazing. The presentation of the food was gorgeous!

We were the only guests and felt guilty to make at least 3 people stay just for us. The food was good the service as well and we were at no time pressured to leave. But still.....

This was the worst order I have made. For the price I paid the service was disgraceful. No cutlery…not sure if I was expected to eat soup with my fingers.

Food has definitely gone downhill lately, was much more spicy than usual and the entire plastic tub was swimming in a layer of greasy chili oil which put me off right away. It was also cold on arrival, even though my order was early, the driver handed me a very thin plastic bag with the food in it which had spilled out inside and I don't think it had been kept in a heat bag. Used to be my favourite Thai but I'm really disappointed at recent quality.

Only actually ever ordered takeway from here so one day will have to come in 😂 They do the best thai green curry I’ve had in Edinburgh (tried 8 thai restaurants here so far). They are certainly not the cheapest but I love their curry so I don’t care. Also like their pad thai, cashew chicken and the monkfish dish. Really tasty food, chicken is always cooked amazingly and good portions. Never had an order from them that hasn’t been great.

Our food was ordered well in advance, to be delivered at 8pm. It arrived at 9pm. The food, the restaurant told me, was prepared at 7:40, so I asked in one of my chasing phonecalls for them to make us a fresh order so we didn't have old food being delivered. When the food arrived an hour late, we had to reheat it in the microwave. It was clearly the original order that had been sitting around for all that time. Very poor, and for £34!

Used to be excellent. Found it cold this time, service can be a hit or miss. Shame its only across the road from us. My kids love there soup.

Been coming here for over 20 years, but our first visit in quite a while. Lovely to back, place unchanged apart from staff who are still thai, friendly, helpful and lovely people. Food on the set lunch - calamari, spring rolls, green curry and satay all as good as they ever were, cooked with care, attnetion, lovely spicing - all terrific and great value. Service still attentive and engaged - lovely to come back somewhere that really still delivers on all fronts. We've been to Thailand many times and to virtually every thai restaurant in town....... this has the best food and always has done in our ezperience!!!

Amazing dinner and cosy place with warm welcome service. We went there 13 of us for Xmas dinner. Last minute booking welcome. Test like Thailand with fresh ingredients. Highly recommend. Thanks you for looking after us. We had a wonderful full time 🙏🙏🙏🎉🎅🎅

Ordered pad thai, paid extra £1.15 for prawns and shrimp, guess what, no shrimps and only two prawns in it. Food sticky. Won't order again.

Pad Thai was pretty terrible. Only 3 prawns and it was flavourless. I wouldn’t waste your money.

delivery time was stated with 25 to 40 minutes. Received my food after 90. No number to contact. Food was fine, but tepid.

Order was delivered 30 minutes later than the end of the estimated time frame and it was cold. I had to reheat it in the microwave. The just eat app didn't give me updates on the delivery time either, it just said the courier was waiting at the restaurant but when I called the restaurant to ask how long it would be they said it had already been collected. Then it just arrived. App was literally updated about 60 seconds before the doorbell rang. And when I opened the food I discovered it was cold. Not the best experience.

I just had my first takeaway from Lemongrass Thai and the Chicken Pad Thai was dreadful. Stodgy and clearly been prepared ages ago and tasteless. Was very disappointed.

Had takeaway. Green curry good. Tempura greasy and tactless. Pad Thai with tofu was terrible. A sticky mush. Sadly won't go again. Cost 40£ too so not good value

Fantastic selection of top quality Thai food. We had the chicken masaman with coconut rice and duck pad thai. We thoroughly enjoyed both. Just note it's quite pricey (~£20 for a main inc rice) though I'd well worth it I would visit again for the standard of the food. Staff too were very friendly and accommodating, the restaurant had a nice atmosphere with a good amount of space between the tables.

Delicious authentic tasting food. We had the green Thai chicken curry, chicken and cashews, and tamarind duck. Highly recommend all three dishes. The meat was tender and the sauces were authentically delicious. Seating was comfortable and meals arrived promptly.

Food spicy hot , expensive but worth it

WOW! Nicest people and so tasty! Get the pork ribs, you will not be disappointed. This is a delicious break from the monotonous fried chips and fish of Edinburgh.

We were in vacation and wanted some good Thai so we decided to walk here for dinner. We got caught in a rainstorm and we decided my wife would go back to the hotel and I would get the food to go. Arrived at restaurant wet and hungry. Ordered the chicken fried rice, red curried chicken and Tom yum soup. It all smelled so good couldnt wait to eat. Long story short all the food was very good. Nice and spicy. Would have liked to dine in but have to save that for next time. Great food

Ginger chicken a small portion (just over half the tray) and flavour. Mark down is for portion size. Massaman curry was lovely

Had a number of good takeaways from here and they alway deliver on the quality and value. I've never been to Thailand and I'm not Thai so couldn't comment on how authentic it is , so of the dishes are a bit sweet for my tastes as I prefer sweet for pudding. But they have a good balance of flavours and it always tastes fresh and cooked with sincerity. Certainly on of the best Thai restaurants in Edinburgh in my limited opinion.

Delivery was fine. Food was very disappointing and massively over priced. Worst squid I have ever tasted. Everything else was bad but the salt and chilli squid was impressively poor.

Good ambience, great food and friendly service. This place gives us an excellent dining experience. So why 4 stars? The chicken satay was great, the salad on the plate was fresh to go with the starter. But I had full of water on the plate that socked the crispy satay chicken. By the time when I had my last satay water was dripping and soggy. Among the 3 pieces of satay, 3 Rd one was unacceptable. I felt the salad was not drained before they place on the plate. I have informed to the person served as well but his answer was intentionally vinigered water for flavour which is not acceptable for me. I personally felt for the money we pay we except more. Overall experience was good. They offer delivery as well. Alcohol free selection was not great.

Came here for dinner on our trip and it was lovely, right by our hotel which was convenient but the food was delicious. Staff were very helpful and nice too I asked for recommendations which they gladly gave me. Recommend highly if you want fantastic Thai cuisine.

I've had a lot of Thai food (including in Thailand) and this was up there with, if not, the best. The complimentary prawn crackers are certainly the best I've had, with a lovely hint of chilli. The salt and chilli squid beautiful - squid perfectly cooked and batter light, crispy and tasty. The Tom Yum soup was packed full of flavour. The Choo Chee special red curry with monkfish just carried on the trend and was also absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place for great Thai food and very friendly service!

Took a takeaway for my birthday dinner. The food was amazing (it felt ‘authentic’; light, spicy and full of flavour), so much worth it! Great quality, great service, perfect timing. 5 stars all round!!

A great Thai restaurant with good food and calm atmosphere. I can't find much to fault. The food was delicious and they have traditional dishes. We really enjoyed the chicken pad thai. The service was efficient and on time, the staff are nice too. Overall, I think it deserves 5 stars for bringing and maintaining Thai cuisine in Edinburgh.

Excellent authentic Thai - really powerful bright flavours, firey spicy. Best Thai I've had in ages! Strongly recommended.

Tempura starter was undercooked and soggy with oil. Couldn’t eat it. The shredded Chicken Massaman was actually very large lumps of chicken. Sauce was ok though. Duck red curry was nice.

1 meal missing from delivery and restaurant refused to deliver missing meal. Food normally very good but customer service very poor. They have lost a regular customer tonight.

The food was delicious but the green curry was, in my opinion, much hotter than advertised and I struggled to eat it. Also the food arrived pretty cold and we had to microwave it.

I used to go in to restaurant alot pre Covid and always loved it. Second time getting a delivery and good to see its just as excellent!

Great food & service, just busy night for deliveries.

My husband and I have been coming to / getting take away from Thai lemongrass for about 10 years (possibly longer) and we’ve NEVER had a bad meal. The food and service are sensational every time! I’ve personally ordered the same dish as it’s so good that if I ordered anything else, I’d have fear of missing out on it! Our absolute favourite Thai in Edinburgh.

Brilliant food and really friendly staff. We travel from out of town to eat at this Thai and the staff always remember us and the food is always consistently good. Chicken satay and red/green curry is the best we have had. Thank you. Price is competitive.

Thai fishcakes were extremely tough and quote bland-tasting. Massman curry was ok but extremely sweet.

Our overall view was very good. The food was excellent, fresh and superbly cooked. That was not too much or too little, it was about perfect. The restaurant lacked atmosphere, however this was due to it being a mid week with very few people there.We would thoroughly recommend anyone visiting this restaurant.

For the price, the food was average. I paid a little over £12 for Thai special rice and for the rice and dressing it just wasn't worth the price for the flavour.

Can't recommend this place enough. Amazingly tasting food, cooked with superiority, using excellent ingredients, at a good price. The staff were super friendly, no request a hassle. We were 9 strong and ordered of the sharing buffet menu. We had an excellent selection of food from across the menu. Would heartily urge to to try.

We used to visit Thai Lemongrass every 6 months and had always been pleased with the service and food. This visit was different. The service was non existent to the extent that we had to shout the waiter over to eventually order wine and water. We then had to do the same to order our food, and the young waiter thought it was funny that he hadn't bothered to acknowledge us once we had been seated. Sadly, the service was a sham, the food was decent enough but the service so bad that we will not return.

My fiance and I attended for an anniversary dinner. The food was excellent either a good selection of curries. We ordered a Thai Sampler to start which gave us a good selection of well presented tasting experience, including spring rolls, duck, Thai fish cakes, and tempura prawns with matching accompaniments. We shared a rice with pineapple, chicken and prawn and each ordered a red curry. The curry was on the spicy side but very enjoyable with a lot of flavour.

Totally ok fried rice but the curry was great! Also excellent service (on a Tuesday Eve)! 4.5 of 5 stars

Ordered takeaway. Never again. Spent £50 on a portion of spring rolls (3 small rolls for £7) 2 soups and 2 mains. Delivery driver wouldn’t bring it upstairs to our flat so had to go down and get it. Soup was ok, despite a good portion of it covering the bottom of the bag. The mains had 2 or 3 small bits of meat and the pad Thai was a tasteless clumpy mess. Probably the worst takeaway food I’ve had and ironically one of the most expensive …. *To add to the reply from the restaurant - instead of concentrating on the fraction of my complaint concerning the delivery & 3rd party driver, perhaps concentrate on the area you do have control over. The quality of your overpriced and underwhelming food. Thanks

Some of the worst Thai I’ve eaten! Chicken Pad Thai was flavourless, soggy and had almost no chicken. Holy Basil beef was equally lacking in beef. Springs rolls were ok, but was £7 for 3 very small rolls. Delivery was bad - 20mins late and wouldn’t bring it to me, so I had to walk into the street to get it from him. 1/10, would not recommend.

The food here is exceptional. Freshly made, spicy (if you like it like that). Great variety. Staff very friendly. Highly recommend

My wife and have have eaten here a few times as it's just a 10 minute stroll from our house. The food is consistently good - very fresh and very tasty. We particularly like the battered prawn and veg starter, and the veg spring rolls. The red curry is excellent, and I really liked the prawn and pineapple main too. The helpings aren't huge, and it's not exactly cheap, but we expect that in Thai places, and it's worth it for the flavours.

Added a 10% tip to the bill, not appreciated.

Excellent 10/10. Went with my wife and daughter as not had Thai for a bit. Everything we had was spot on - perfectly cooked and flavourful. We had the mixed starter - best chicken satay and crab cakes I have had in a long, long time. Highlight was the Tamarind Duck my daughter had. Décor, atmosphere and staff was excellent and relaxing. Definitely recommended and we will be back.

Although it was empty when we first arrived it didn't discourage us as it looked very friendly. We are so glad we went in as the food was probably the best Thai food we have ever eaten. Very nicely presented and incredibly tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved it and will hopefully be back soon.

This restaurant only gets better. I had a green curry and we had some very tasty starters. Tom yum soup and tempura vegetables.

Great food excellent service, not cheap but worth it

We had a Chicken Massaman and King Prawn Choo Chee with a side of coconut rice to share. The prawns were large and perfectly cooked. The chicken was dark meat which I wasn't expecting but it worked well with the sweeter sauce. Both dishes had great flavour. The only thing we'd suggest to the kitchen is that they increase the coconut milk ratio and once off the heat, allow the rice to steam longer. Good service and friendly too. Good job.

We thoroughly enjoy the food here and the service has always been good. However, just noticed last nights dinner bill had a 10% gratuity charge added! We prefer to make our own judgement where this is concerned so I'm afraid we won't return!

Authentic flavors are missing. Food is bland by Thai food standards. Over priced. However it seems to be a family run business and staff are polite and respond quickly.

Lovely Thai restaurant but was disappointed with the Pad Thai because they used very long spaghetti pasta instead of shorter flat rice noodles so it made it harder to eat and not so enjoyable. We only went there for a Pad Thai so we probably won't go there again. Restaurant had a good atmophere and the staff were very friendly and helpful as ecpected in a Thai restaurant. White wine by the glass was very limited.

Where can I start - honestly dont bother visit ingredients this overpriced Thai restaurant! We made a booking and the welcome was basically making us feel a nuisance. Food extremely expensive and took ages to clear away plates - wasn’t busy and must have passed our table 6 times before asking them to do! Nothing like traditional welcoming feeling you get in a Thai restaurant - family business where the mother clearly fed up and decor v dated inside. Too many other nice restaurants nearby so go there instead!
